Agüero 2502, C1425 CABA, Argentina, Buenos Aires
Argentina's largest library, this unusual stilted structure houses the national book collection.
Lovely!!!
Biblioteca gigantesca com arquitetura peculiar, vale a visita.
Incredible place.Super recommend to study there. The Borges theatre is wonderful
Run down place with a somewhat hysterical security system. You need an ID to enter as well..
The people there could treat you better, a lot of egos around, disgusting. But the place IS really nice it has a lot of information regarding cultural events from this country
Great place to research and study, although it might not be very pleasant when it’s too hot.
This is a cool library to come and chill. The 5th floor has couches and bathrooms, and the first floor has expositions and a cafe with a terrace. Bring a foreign ID to get in, and dont throw away your ticket as they check it when you leave.
I need to go inside! Amazing constructivist library a must see.
A beautiful library building that represents one of the symbols of development in the modern era and a landmark of the city in general and the capital in particularIt has a huge impact on the lives of the citizens as it is a wonderful place to be proud of in their country🥰 🌷 💚
What a fine piece of architecture! As of January 2021 the place was closed but you can still stroll around, take some beautiful photos and enjoy the open areas of the building.
Iconic building designed by the renowned architect Clorindo Testa.
Worst library I have been to in my life and that is including the trailor that was my elementary school library. The staff is not friendly, half the library was inaccessible, every seat was taken because one side of the librarywas closed down, Wifi down, AC not working well. There is nothing pleasurable about this library. The architecture is ugly and not inviting. I would not recommend any tourist or ex-pat go there. Go to a Starbucks bookstore or El Atenio, there are books you can touch and look at and a place to read.
Amazing
Excellent
This is fantastic
ok
Decent place to study if you dont need Wi-Fi. There is wifi, but it doesnt work (well). Mornings are best, as it can get warm and busy in the afternoon. Powerplugs are scarce , but mates abundant!
A nice and quiet place for reading a book or study in the heart of Recoleta neighborhood
Apparently not for tourists to Buenos Aires. We loved the Clorinda Tester building from the outside but werent allowed to enter without our PASSPORTS??!!!I for one never wander a city carrying my passport in case of robbery, doubly frustrating as it was raining AND there are zero public bathrooms available in the city. Seems not only the last library directors were blind...
Very worth visiting for everyone interested in architecture.Just make sure not to miss a guided tour. The guard was not smart enough to tell us about the tour which started exactly at the moment when we arrived.
Excellent facility with numerous books and plenty of space to study or work..
Bizarre architecture and really cool place. Nice spaces for reading and studying. Used to go here a lot when I was in grad school.
There is nothing to complain about except the the WiFi connection.
A daring architectural solutions, excellent use of the possibilities .
I liked the temporary exhibition in Shakespeare and Cervantes.A little bit more maintenance to the building would do good...
Great architecture, except the fact guards do not allow us to take photos...... Do not know why......
This place is fantastic to go and work with your laptop in the 6th floor, the wifi is not the best but is free all the place and obviously quite.
a great place to see good architecture in buenos aires. this 6 story building was designed by a famed argentine brutalist architect and inaugurated in 1992.the building is not in the best condition but the attention to detail in the design is amazing.unusual views of the city from the 5th floor.if you are into photography, you can spend days here.there are free tours on saturday and sundays at 4pm.
Its quiet. The atmosphere is as great as the view. It looks down to Puerto Madero and the Rio de la Plata river
The library is worth walking by for its impressive architecture, which seems to defy gravity. Staff were helpful and friendly as well.
Impressive library with beautiful views of the city. Spacious rooms to sit down and read.
Inside is better than the outside. That said, this is one of the ugliest buildings in Buenos Aires. Seriously, it ranks as one of the worlds ugliest in many surveys!
It feels poorly maintained lately, but its very convenient to study, it has comfortable chairs a great view and lots of silence.

Interesting brutal architecture. Free guided tours in English and Spanish at 3pm every weekday. Most impressive moment. Realizing that the students walking and hanging around in the library, belong to the class and have the same age as the ones that disappeared and were murdered during the dictatorship period, 40 years ago.
