Compact, contemporary joint offering counter-serve Korean specialties, including the namesake dish.
Go here. Get the bibimbap in the stone bowl, with the kimchi and egg. Lovely!
I love everything. Vermicelli noodles with chicken and deep fried chicken with rice was what l tried. It was love.
My favorite Korean place downtown. Really hope they re-open after COVID-19 comes and goes. The dolsot bibimbap is perfect for rainy chilly days.
It was lovely!Their bibimbap was reasonable and tasty.I was very excited to have korean food in downtown. Try the hot stone! It is super delicious and healthy.๊ฐ์ฌํฉ๋๋ค ๋ง์๊ฒ ์ ๋จน์์ต๋๋ค :)
Meats were all cold for some reason, portions are pretty bad, extra to add an egg on a bibimbap, rice tasted old. Not the worst Ive ever been to, but definitely not planning on coming back.
Super tasty! Very friendly staff :)
Limited counter seating. Our bibimbap and japchae bowls were done just right, arrived quickly from the kitchen and the portions were generous. Sriracha and gochujang are available on a self-serve basis.
Was such a delicious bowl of bibimbap! One of the best Iโve ever had.. and Iโve had a lot before! Got the regular bibimbap for my first time but will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu! The food was out quickly and fresh, the owner was really nice and friendly, and the server was really really helpful and pretty!! Would definitely recommend this little restaurant for a filling but healthy quick meal!!
I used to grab the spicy tuna rice hand balls. I cannot remember what they were called, but I used to grab a couple before rushing back to the Bainbridge ferry on my way home from work. Havenโt been able to find anything like it now that Iโm in San Diego. Craving it now!
Their tofu is especially tender without being silken. Has great moisture. Kimchi is flavorful without being over powering. Delicious with vegan options.
Solid Korean fare. Location is small so dont expect a place to sit. Hot stone bibimbap was good but not great. The hot spice available to add is sriracha, which is not what Im looking for. Good quick eat, but not much more
It tasted okay, but it is a bit over priced. $10.99 for a regular bibimbap and additional $1 for a fried egg and no side dishes (extra $1 for small kimchi). So. Simple meal without any soup or banchan came out to be almost $13. I dont know, I always eat bibimbap with fried egg so I guess I wasnt expecting to pay a la carte. Very small space so its mainly a take out restaurant.
I gave a 3 bc I asked for my egg fried over hard and got an over medium. Something is wrong when you cant cook and egg correctly.. Otherwise, food was good and priced well..
Tastes amazing. Feels amazing. Just an amazing place
Got the bibimbap with kimchi and it was a great balance of good flavors, heat and kimchi funk. Kimchi was an extra so if thats not your jam, not required. Super tiny and cozy for eat in, all bar/counter seating. Will go again!
Poor customer service. I requested no sesame seeds due to a serious allergy. They forgot, which is fine and happens, so I kindly sent it back and mentioned the allergy again. They returned it having half-heartedly scraped a small portion of the top seaweed and disregarding the sesame that was thoroughly mixed in with the rest of the dish, hoping that I wouldnt notice. It would have been a more serious issue if I hadnt noticed and spent the next 10 minutes manually removing all of them myself.
Awesome bibimbap that is a convenient lunch to go option for downtown workers. If you get a chance though, have the dol sot bibimbap for a tastier and more authentic dining experience.
Very delicious and good price
Hole in the wall with ok dolsot bibimbap and Seattle downtown prices. Ive had better, Ive had worse. There was nothing super standout about the place or the food.
Really good food for a pretty reasonable price. Has a small seating area, but great for grabbing food to go.
Everytime I and my colleagues think about going out for lunch, we invariably end up coming to this place - the food is just fantastic! The Dolsot bibimbap is one of the best Ive ever had hands down!
Tofu udon. $9.90. Great taste. Udon were โal denteโ. Small family owned place. Great fresh food. Good value.
Great food! If youre in a rush to the ferry or just want some great bibimbap this is the place to go! There is almost no seating so best to go unless you get lucky.
Okay,I go there all the time, This place is authentic, the best Teriyaki chicken Ive had.and the people who run the place are some of the nicest people youll meet. Now Yelp gave them 5stars and I agree.Id give them more but thats all yall had was 5
Had the bibimbob. It was acceptable. The service was not. Food was brought without a word, drink or spoon. When I asked for my drink and spoon, she just pointed at where I could help myself. A first time visitor would not have a clue.
Good but overpriced for served portion and quality. Had better at a Korean eatery that has closed. Am in search for something similar to what was had or similar. Friendly enough staff but not as good again. Like most Seattle eateries not much should be expected when it comes to best foods &/or service.
Pretty small but tasty food & reasonable price. If you are looking for some homemade style Korean food, its a good place to visit. Definitely not for someone whos looking for a fancy and nice restaurant.
I went here today. It was fast and super good. The space is cramped so maybe take it to go. The food is awesome and taste like it was made with Love for some reason. Maybe is was the nice lady there smiling when we went in and left too. But its good and affordable for downtown.
Very good korean food! And itโs cheap! The spot is perfect if youโre eating alone or with a friend
The cutest little place with amazing food. So so glad we stopped in!
This is the cheap bite of Korean love youre looking for! The interior is small, cramped and the wall paper is peeling. But you dont care about that! You want cheap Korean made fresh and full of flavor! Thats what you came for!
Its a tiny place, but they dish up food so quuckly, you can usually squeeze into an open seat. The chicken Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap was tasty and the rice at the bottom crisped up nicely in the hot pot.
The hot bowl was delicious! Friendly service and really good food. The atmosphere of the place was nice too.
A friend recommended this place for me in Seattle. Im usually not into trying new things and am a picky eater but the food here is fantastic (I had the hot stone bowl). The owner is super friendly and the service was excellent and attentive. Anyone looking for an authentic Korean meal should visit this place downtown!
Korean food. Loved it. Great service.
Been here twice now and both times had a delicious, fresh meal. Well worth the visit to eat something somebody made with some care.
Great food, you can taste the freshness, prepared quickly. Cozy little place with a modicum of seating.
Congratulations!!!!!Bibimbap was accepted by 100 Seattle Restaurants and Bars in 2017.You must try bibimbap, hot stone bowl, and poke sushi bowl. Its an ideal stop for hungry travelers leaving the ferry terminal.Enjoy many varieties of Korean dishes.
Yummy food. Fast service. Not a lot of places to sit. I got the beef udon and it was delightful, a good mix of sweet beef and spiced broth. Also, it looked exactly like the picture shown on the menu board.
Delicious food - the hot bowl comes out sizzling and, you guessed it, HOT! Their sushi bowl is fantastic, but feels a bit sketchy with cold fish sitting atop hot rice (at least for a to-go order), but I didnt get sick and it was damn good, so still 5 stars.
What I had: Udon (beefand Dolsot Bibimbap (beef)Price: ~ 20 USD (Feb. 2017)Conclusion: Worth the visit if you are around for an authentic Korean bibimbap!Food and Price (4/5):The restaurant does not serve a wide variety of Korean food, and that made me more exciting. I thought both dishes (bibimbap and udonhad reasonable price tags; yet I was amazed of how much they served once I got my dish (positive). I recommend Udon for its warm broth and toppings, whereas beef dolsot (stone bowlbibimbap comes with bulgogi and other toppings that enrich its flavor.Service & Atmosphere (4/5):The place is small, but that makes it more attractive and cozy; the service is good. Make sure to ask for extra gochujang (Korean red pepper pasteif you want to make your dish spicier!Bottom line:I recommend this place for a quick meal if you are near the area. Do not expect to see fancy Korean dishes or meat, but anticipate one of the most authentic and traditional Korean dish to be served.* This was a review based on my personal experience; I acknowledge that every person has unique preferences and taste buds.
Small but good tasting and consistent menu. The biggest problem is that sometimes they get a bit backed up during lunch, either running out of an item (typically the curry), or just taking a while to get to go in general. Definitely a good place to go for lunch.
This restaurant is the exact definition of a "hole in the wall." I LOVE it!! The location is super nice because it is right by the ferry. The prices are very reasonable for the food portions. There are only about 7 seats in the entire place. Go here. It is so amazing.
Really fun food. The dish that I had was served in a super hot bowl, that kept the food fresh ans sizzling while chatting with friends. Also it is good to know this is literally a whole in the wall. We had a group of 6 and took up about half of the available seating. Small groups will work better with they space they have.
This place is the definition of hole in the wall. I always come here whenever I get a craving for dolsot bibimbap, which is served in a hot stone bow with a partially cooked egg on top. The downside is that there is barely any seating, and you cannot take the dolsot with you to go. I recommend either going there early or late since the lunch rush causes it to fill up fast.
Great hole in the wall Korean place. The dolsot bibimbap, which can only be eaten "for here", because it comes in a stone bowl, is super hot and delicious. Try it!
Great food and really fast as well! The one thing is that because it is like a cute hole in the wall type place, its seating arrangements are on the small side, maybe 10-15 can sit inside at a time so if you have a huge group consider getting it to go.
Food is delicious and great quality for the price. I ordered the sushi bowl and it was absolutely fabulous from the first to last bite. Definitely recommend it!!!
Delicious food! I tried all the menus here; would recommend Hot stone bowl bibimbap, sushibowl, udon and vermicelli :Generous meat and alot of vegetables :D
YUM! Im not a bibimbap expert but this was fabulous food. I got the beef one. I would go back if I lived in town, but since I dont Id probably try somewhere else next time. Really nice little space and friendly service. With tax and tip and no drinks, the bibimbap, which I had for lunch, came out to roughly $12
