Marble Mughal mausoleum built in the mid-1600s with a garden, fountains & intricate carvings.
It is a must visit place in Aurangabad, ticket is 25rs per person. It is not at all properly maintained otherwise it is equally beautiful life Taj Mahal.
Entry fee was Rs.25. Parking available near Bibi ka Maqbara. Some food stall outside area.Nice place. Very clean. Some maintenance work required. Overall good place for photography. Back side is greenery and good place to children for play area.
People say that it is xerox copy of Tajmalahal .It Is one of the world’s most renowned monuments and a magnet to countless tourists from all around the world who visit it each year. Built some 400 years ago, it is a milestone in the architectural history of India. It’s grand and magnificent (think, poetry frozen in time), a great symbol of love built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. We are, of course, talking about the Taj Mahal. And there’s no Taj Mahal but Taj Mahal
I have been to Taj Mahal multiple times and was a bit prejudiced on visiting Bibi ka Maqbara as it is said to be a copy of it. But I was pleasantly surprised by Bibi ka maqbara. Its not as grand as the taj mahal, but still it holds its own charm. Spent the evening here and loved the place. Worth visiting in Aurangabad.
The place had its own history and importance. This is a heritage site with a lot of importance attached to it. It is worth watching and it is called as mini taj Mahal.
Huge property but they need to maintain it properly. You need two hours to explore this whole place. Overall nice tourist place
Amazing architecture and a heritage situated so close to City And lot of parking space is available which is a good point. Some restoration work is going on but it would need some more attention from administration to keep the place maintained. But its the people visiting the place that are destroying it by scribbling on walls and damaging walls and doors. Need to do more to protect this historic piece of architecture. required of more security....
Bibi Ka Maqbara is the "principal monument" of Aurangabad and its historic city also called as Mini Taj Mahal, Deccan Taj and Poor man’s Taj. In my opinion no comparison between the Taj mahal and this except the Basic Structure and Blueprint of the Monument. If you are been to Aurangabad and have time better visit once and that too in the mornings as it will be less crowded. I think ASI can consider a serious restoration of this monument.
The Taj of Deccan! Though its not made of marble and looks a bit dull when liked closely this is still beautiful from a distance and picturesque.Recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid crowds
Best place to visit in Aurangabad. Ticket system need improvement. Gardens need to maintain as few plants died due to aging.
Not properly maintained.... With entry fee of ₹25....free for kids below age 15. Lot of damaged areas....once you have seen Taj.... You just feel the difference between the two... If you have not seen Tejomahalya..... In Agra..... You will not able to experience the difference.
Duplicate of taj mahal, built by the son of Aurangjeb in the memory of his mother.A small garden in front, to go on picnic.Too much rush this year before independence day because they had tricolor lighting in the evening.A good place to visit in Aurangabad.
A very beautiful scenic monument but sadly it can be seen that is zero maintainance for such great place. Walls are cracked, Water is contaminated and kids are playing in that water.
One time visit is must. Its an copy of Taj Mahal and u can easily enjoy here with yr family and frds.
This place should be part of your list of places of visit. I was definitely expecting it to be in better condition. Still there are few spots where construction work is going on. Fountains were not operational. This place is not wheel chair friendly which is a big minus.I couldnt see any public toilets near or within premises.
Mini Taj Mahal: The replica of Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara is a tomb nestled in Aurangabad, Maharashtra and was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s son Azam Shah in the memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum... must visit place 👍
Looks like Taj Mahal. Awesome place to visit.Someone can visit the place with friends, family, Girlfriend or boyfriend.Closes at evening 9.30.But try to visit before 6.30 PM because there is less lighting inside the place.Outside the place food is much costly.
Looks just like Taj Mahal,Agra. Great place to go with family in the evening.Gives inner peace. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begum.Bibi Ka Maqbara is the second largest structure that Aurangzeb has built, the largest being the Badshahi Mosque.
The tomb of the wife of aurangzeb, built by the son and not aurangzeb himself. The structure is like the poor man s Taj Mahal , yet had been made with pomp and grandeur. The upkeep has not been very nice and currently the backside of the maqbara is getting repaired. However the quality of the marble used the minakari work in them is worth a notice. There is an entry fee of rs 25 per head ( above 15 years of ageand this place is better understood through photographs that I will keep attached here.
Mini Taj Mahal, unfortunately it is not the same. The maintenance is far from perfect, its quite a shame to see all the fountains are not running, it would have made it look so much better.Foreign tourists have to pay r300 I thought that was a fair price, i visited on a Sunday and although busy it was not crowded. If you do visit, I would suggest that afterwards you take a auto rickshaw to the aurangabad caves, only about two km from there.
Its good place to visit and there have lots of ancient story about The Bibi Ka Maqbara is a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begum
Mini Taj Mahal! Exactly like the original one. Need to be renovated. Good infrastructure and architecture. Lots of parking space available. Outlook is good and attractive.
One of the best places to visit while visiting Aurangabad. Not very properly maintained authorities must take proper attention. Very historical value.
Resemblance to Taj Mahal. Beautiful structure. Very good place to visit. If you want to know more about this place, the guides are available but after 10 a.m. Recommended for history lovers..
Very nice place. It shows the hard work of artists and everything is really mesmerizing. When we go to this place we feel like we are in a different era.Really great monument and one of good part of our indian History.Must visit and capture the moment with the heart ❤
This place is a must visit at least once to say the least.Charges for adults are ₹25. It closes after sunset. They have a huge parking space right before it who charge you ₹40.They have many shops around for you to buy some random stuff, eateries etc.Beautiful structure, an attempt to replicate the Taj Mahal by the Mughals who did some good jobs by constructing such structures.
It is somewhat a look like of Taj Mahal..Entry fee charge from 20-25 rupee.A nice place to visit. One can roam around here inside the maqbara it is spacious n nicely maintained. When I had visited there fountain were not working, otherwise overall it was a good experience.
Bibi Ka Maqbara was constructed by Azam Shah on orders from his father, Emperor Aurangzeb. It houses the tomb of Aurangzebs chief queen, Dilras Banu Begum. This structure is thought to be a replica of the Taj Mahal and is also known as the Mini Taj or Deccani Taj. The mausoleum has a Mughal-style architecture and a charbagh garden. There is a Mosque beside the structure which is believed to be constructed by the Nizam’s of Hyderabad.Best Time to Visit: Early Morning/Evenings.
Five star is just for the monument, which is just a marvellous piece of architecture. ASI has been trying its level best to protect and restore the monument. But its the people visiting the place that are destroying it by scribbling on walls and damaging walls and doors. Need to do more to protect this historic piece of architecture.
One of the ancient and archaeological site in Maharashtra.Situated about 3 km from the city of Aurangabad is Bibi Ka Maqbara, the burial place of Aurangzeb’s wife, Rabia-ud-Durrani. It is an imitation of the Taj at Agra, and, due to its similar design, it is popularly known as the Mini Taj of the Deccan.Place is very good. But there are lots of wear and tear that has happened need to be take care.
It is known as the TAJ OF DECCAN for its close similarities with Taj Mahal. It was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in loving memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begam. The wonderful structure of this tomb is worth to watch. In scorching heat of midday sun the tomb is coolest where the lifeless soul of lady Aurangzeb still remains.Visit to this place in the evening time is better.Entry fee is 25.The striking features are the minerates, the cenotaph, the floral patterns on walls, the net or Jali patterns, Arches. If you are in Maharashtra this place can be visited for Indias glorious past in Architecture, art and culture.
Well, its under construction or renovation. So, think before going.Overall, we were in Aurangabad and someone suggested so, we visited.Nothing super rocking but not a waste of time. You can spend 2-3 hours and Click good pictures.
The first thing everyone will think of this monument will be "Duplicate Taj mahal". Yes it was inspired from the Taj Mahal in Agra but this monument also has a very good history and due to lack of proper maintenance this looks a bit dull. We visited this place in the evening and I loved this place. One can spend some 30-60mins here and I would suggest to visit in the evening.Check out the Namaz hall on the left too. The wooden doors here are very old and unique.Do read about the place when you wait in the line for tickets."Bibi ka Maqbura" is beautiful 💙Cheers guys.!!🍻🤟🏽
The beautiful mausoleum of Aurangzebs wife, is believed to have been constructed by Prince Azam Shah in memory of his mother Rabia-ul Durrani Alias Dilras Banu Begum between circa 1651-1661 A.D. An inscription on the main entrance door mentions that, this mausoleum was designed and erected by Ata-Ulla, an Architect and Hanspat Rai,an Engineer. As the mausoleum architecturally resembles the Taj-Mahal of Agra (1631-1653it is known as "Taj of Deccan".The mausoleum stands within an enclosed area measuring 458 x 275 meters approximately. The main entrance is on the southern side of the outerwall, and at the centre of the three remaining walls are open pavilions, which were used as Mosque, Diwan-e-Am, and Diwan-e-Khas. These buildings contain beautiful paintings of Mughal and Nizam periods. The mausoleum is built at the centre of a high platform, with four mina ets at its corners. The lower body and the dome of the building are made up of pure marble, decorated with beautiful carvings, where as the middle portion is of basaltic trap.covered with fine plaster, rendered with a marble finish and adorned with stucco work. The grave is simple, devoid of any ornamentation, surrounded with marple screens of exquisite design. The Mughal garden. Living Water Management System, Pavements which arenamented with little kiosks, finely worked brass doors. Stucco ral motifs en the shell lime plaster, rank Maqbara among the Muonal buildings of Deccar
We went in the morning time around 11.30.It gets very hot during summer time. Please visit during early morning or evening time. No shade to stay or take few moments of rest for elders. The Bibi Ka Maqbara (English: "Tomb of the Ladyis a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begum (posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Dauraniand is considered to be a symbol of Aurangzebs conjugal fidelity. It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Aurangzebs mother, Mumtaz Mahal.Aurangzeb was not much interested in architecture though he had commissioned the small, but elegant, Pearl Mosque at Delhi. Bibi Ka Maqbara is the second largest structure that Aurangzeb has built, the largest being the Badshahi Mosque.
Visit early morning or evening. Not during the noon as it gets very hot that we cant explore this place. There is nothing much but the tomb. It is in very large area. Huge place to walk. One drawback no place to sit and take a bit of shade for older people. It would have been great. Not greatly maintained like a UNESCO place. Still a good place to visit in Aurangabad.
Amazing architecture and a heritage situated so close to City.Dedicated massive parking space is available which is a plus point. Some restoration work is going on but it would need some more attention from administration to keep the place maintained.Sadly we have our lovers who for unknown reason loves to carve their names in these walls wishing it would keep relationship long :(
Mesmerizing replica of Taj Mahal of Agra. One of the.greatest historical monuments of India.Online booking is essential for visit. It is open for general public from morning to evening. The road passes through congested lanes of Aurangabad and suddenly you are in front of enchanting tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begum.
Nice place, tried to make it similar to Taj mahal but not close enough to 1% of the Taj Mahal. But on the other side its also a good and peaceful place.
It is a good property which amazes your eyes but need more maintanence. You can spent time with family and friends. Ticket cost is 20 rupees per adult and free for children. If you are coming from our of town then you can get auto to this place easily.Best time to visit is morning I would say to avoid crowd.so may be you can start your day with this place if on a trip to Aurangabad. We went around 9 am and it was less crowded and could capture beautiful pictures

Recommended time to visit is early in the morning there will be no or minimum crowd in the morning and you are free to capture wonderful views 😉.
ASI could do some more to up keep the place frankly. The building is not well maintained. Can see some maintenance work ongoing but looks like its not scheduled periodically. Such a great monument getting to soil just because of a bunch of incompetent people is such a shame.
Bibi Ka Maqbara is the second largest structure that Aurangzeb has built. This look similar to the Taj mahal and is located in Aurangabad.Traveling-You can travel to the location in Auto as it is just 5-6 Km away from the railway station. We went there while we were returning from the Ajanta caves. However, this could have maintained better!
