Bianco's Pizza & Pasta - Pizza restaurant in Qormi, Malta
Lived up to the very high hype. Great crust. Perfectly executed in a wood oven. My favorites were the Rosa ( pistachio is a yes!), the Sonny Boy (even the olivesand The WiseGuy. Staff is friendly and wine was solid. Pro tip: get there at 10am to get in line and make the first seating at 11am. Otherwise your wait may be 3-5 hrs.
Stopped in for a late lunch to see what the hype was about. I was not disappointed! Pizza was amazing and the mozzarella is sooooo tasty. Hope to return someday
Totally worth the hype! The handmade mozzarella was to die for and the pizza was incredible. Better than I even anticipated. I mostly cannot get over the insanely good bread and oil dip.
What a disappointment to not be able to try this place. The ambiance is very natureish, the wait is so long,we came at 12 and no reservation is available. They are all booked out for the whole day. They don’t do take out, it’s dine in only. Staff says they get an hour break break 3:30-430. So if you are intent on trying this place. Come early!!!!!
We enjoyed ourselves here. The food was really good. The city really needs to work on the homelessness problem in Phoenix, there was a guy walking around swinging a screw driver like a knife, obviously that could tell was has some issues.
We waited 2 hours to try this place. You can watch the Netflix documentary episode on this place two times before being seated. We were extremely excited to try this place after watching it. However, after trying this place it was just ok. It’s a little overpriced for what they charge. Coming from SoCal and having a ton of pizza options, you might just find this place so-so. I was very whelmed trying this place. Was this good pizza? Yes! Was it worth the hype? No. The pizza was only life changing in the way that I’ve lost two hours of my life waiting for it.
We waited 2 hours. Got to the location around 11am and there was already a line and in house was full. The food wasn’t bad. It was good! Just not what I expected considering the wait and the hype.We ordered 4 different types of pizza. I enjoyed their crust. But none of the pizza wowed me.Would I come here again? No. Would I come here again if there was absolutely no wait? No.
We had a party of 8 and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Our server was Bianca. We had a couple people with dietary concerns (gluten freeand there wasn’t really anything for them except for two dishes. And when asked if anything on the menu could be modified, it was pretty limited or no changes could depending on the dish. Our server didn’t seemed too thrilled to be serving us or answering our questions.Over the course of our lunch the server warmed up a little and overall ended on a generally neutral note.At the end of the day, we wouldn’t come here again. The food we did have was delicious! Especially the fresh mozzarella. I hope this was just an “off” day but we left less than satisfied.
Worth the wait! Once seated service good. Pizza excellent!
Had to pop in for a late lunch while visiting Phoenix after seeing it featured on Netflix.Definitely try the Rosa. I always go for a margherita, but thought I’d have something different. Between the Rosa & the Marg I think the Rosa was my fav!The mozzarella salad was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The food is worth the wait! Thanks for a great meal!
OH SO GOOD! Pizzeria Bianco did not disappoint! We had the fresh mozzarella salad, the sopprassata & vege plate, Sonny boy pizza & the pizza w arugula. All of them were incredible.
As an Airline Pilot that has been a few places I must say this is the best Pizza I have had anywhere in the world. From the incredible Crust and pizza sauce to all the ingredients on top , it was an experience that makes me want to bid a trip specifically to PHX just so I can get another pizza.
Here is a quick update on Pizzeria Bianco in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. For those that don’t know, this place is known for some of the best pizzas in the country.Pizza is damn good, for sure. I can’t say it’s the best pizza in the US, though, because I would have to eat pizza everywhere first. Here is what I can say, this little gem of a pizzeria is located in the heart of Heritage Square. The building was erected in 1929 as a Machine Shop and now a pizzeria.Pizzeria Bianco has been here for around 20 years, and continues to rank as one of the best pizza joints in America. Along with the fame, comes the line of patrons trying to get their hands on some of this dough-liciousness.The service was outstanding, and the venue stimulated many thoughts about the past due to its placement within the historic district. We tried their local rice lager 🍺 beer, a margarita pizza, and their specialty of the day, their wise-guy pizza: all finger-licking goodness.I gave this place a 4.5 star and ranked it as a UNSLACKABLE review top favorite.
Ok honest review from someone who’s not a foodie, or seen the show highlighting the restaurant, but I’ve had good Neapolitan pizza throughout America and Italy. The pizza is good but not what I would classify as some of the best in the country. My wife and I both thought it was overhyped. Definitely not worth waiting for hours- we waited 2hrs 15mins after getting there at 11:30a on a Saturday. We were talking to the valet he said wait times can be between 2-4hrs (assuming on weekends), which is insane. It’s also absurd that they rarely answer their phone or take reservations. Once you put your name on the list they text when your table is ready and give you 5mins to get there or start going down the list. We arrived a bit after 5mins but luckily they still let us be seated. The hostess gave some attitude for being late and not have all our party present (my wife had to run back to the car), and then through the entire meal we were rushed. They asked us what we wanted as soon as we sat down (told them we needed timeand came back fairly quickly. Once we ordered the food came out in less than 10mins, which really wasn’t enough time to enjoy our glasses of wine with the atmosphere and have a conversation. You could tell they really want people in and out. And I have no idea why they won’t take reservations. Due to this process they had quite a few tables empty in the small restaurant. The pizzas themselves were flavorful but lacking- barely any sauce or cheese, and a lot of crust. I just wished there was more, especially for the price. If you’ve seen the Netflix show or read up on the place I’m sure it’s cool to experience it in person, but for us it wasn’t worth it. We were left disappointed.
Every time we go here we have a great time. The wait time is never that bad although its still usually over an hour, but its easy to pass time at bar bianco next door and pizzeria bianco is well worth the wait!!
Some negatives, but overall a really good experience. On the positive side, certainly one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I had the wise guy, my wife the sonny boy and her friend one with arugula (I forget the name.We traded pieces, and all of us liked them all, and we each felt that we had picked the best. The crust is insanely good.Service was pretty good and friendly, though I was a little put off by the rather stern admonition that all ordering had to be done at the beginning. After all, if we had decided that we wanted another pizza later, I expect it to be brought. Period. And especially when each pizza costs an understandable, but rather high $25. I am the customer and the one footing the bill, so I dont expect the establishment to try to tell me how I must order. The other negative was the wait. We arrived before 11:30, but were not seated until nearly 1:30, and then the pizza (again understandablytook a while to arrive. Its arguably worth the wait, but not something Im going to do very often - - if ever again.
They sure know how to bake their pizza. Simple ingredients that taste ridiculously good. The salad was super fresh with the amazing mozzarella. Be prepared to wait a long time (at least 2 hours), but its worth it. The next door bar helps to get through the waiting, its nice and cozy and you can order some appetizers. Highly recommend trying the Bianco Verde Pizza.
Definitely lives up to the hype. The pizza is Neapolitan style thin crust and perfectly cooked. The Japanese-style lager on tap, light and refreshing, was great for washing in down.
Delicious! Highly recommend as this is one of the best pizzarias! The atmosphere was delightful and the wood burning oven made for a perfectly seasoned, crispy crust. The flavors dance on your taste buds in every bite! Arrive early or you will have to wait.
Long wait time, but delicious pizza. The ingredients used were fresh and the dough had terrific flavor
Such a delicious dining experience. The pizza was as good as everyone says it is. Long wait (2.5hours was extreme, but worth it for the foodie experience. After watching Chefs Table, I had to try it and I wasnt disappointed. Everything was fresh and served to order. Service was great, too.
Definitely one of the best pizzerias in town. Long wait, I was able to sit on the bar. The bottom three pizzas on the menu do not have sauce. Each are for a person and really good
The pizza is delicious the environment is very pleasant the restaurant is beautiful and the customer service is great a million stars can’t wait to go back went here because I saw them on a Netflix Documentary 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Its as famous for their wait times as their pizza, This place lives up to its reputation. I was a single and waited about 90 minutes at 4:30 PM on a week night. The pizza was delicious. The wait time wasnt that bad because I went next door in their bar annex and had a couple of drinks. Non alcoholic in my case. Whatever pizza you order, if it doesnt have mushrooms on it, definitely order extra mushrooms. Wait staff could not have been nicer. Once inside, service was very prompt and attentive. Photo is of the line at 11AM.
Downtown Dave and his staff are the best!!!! They definitely made everyone feel like they were dining with family!!! The pizza was Great!!! I see why it’s rated the “Best Pizza in America!” Everything was fresh and tasted delicious!!!!
Its worth every minute that you will wait! This is an experience you dont want to miss! Every single staff member was courteous and incredibly fun and the food is just crazy delish!
Hands down some of the absolute best pizza you can ever even imagine eating. Every ingredient was masterfully chosen to pair with one another. It was truly a divine dining experience. The wait is 100% worth it and will be returning every time I come into Phoenix.
We went around 1930, no reservations-first come first serve, we were added to a list and waited over an hour and a half, which wasnt bad because right next door is a small bar affiliated with the restaurant where you are provided with games to keep you entertained until youre called.Once we got in, the staff was really nice and very knowledgeable about the company, the place is small but has a very dim lit, rustic, intimidate charm to it.The pizza was amazing, so so good, I highly recommend. It is definitely worth the wait:)
Much better than the Scottsdale location, 2 hour wait but it was worth it. The atmosphere was small but it works well for them to give each pizza good attention. Tried the tomato salad, rosa and sonny boy and rice pudding they were all very quality. The baguettes with the olive oil was so simple but the ingredients felt of a very high quality. Came here because of chefs table on netflix and even tho the owner is no longer around this location seems to have kept up his tradition. After asking we will be trying pane bianco tomorrow to try some sandwiches and grab some baguettes for ourselves. Good job guys thank you for the good food!
It was okay overall a little disappointing. The staff rushes you the entire time to get in, get out and get the next table sat, which didnt allow you to enjoy anything. They quickly scoop up the bread and my pizza was very greasy. My expectations were higher since my family is from Italy and New York. I think for the higher price point you can find better. You are paying for the popular name and location more than the quality of the pizza and experience.
One of the best pizzerias I have ever tried. The margherita is legendary. Rosa is a unique combo and very tasty. Everything is delicious.
It’s been almost a decade since I dined here last, and not a single beat missed. No wonder it’s voted “best pizza in the USA”.My kids and I spent a full day nextdoor at the science center and our appetites were intense. We were sat almost immediately and started out with their fresh bread and olive oil + added an appetizer of spiedini - fontina cheese wrapped in prosciutto and then put in the oven. It comes on a bed of greens and is a great way to start with gooey cheese. Omg heaven! We shared the Margherita and it was great with a crunchy crust on the outside and plenty of cheese, fresh tomato sauce and basil.Day made. 3 bellies full and happy!
We have been to a lot of brick oven / fired pizza places between Arizona and California and this is hands down the best pizza place we have been too. The staff are friendly and always greet us. The food is top notch.
Historic charm, awesome Pizza and wonderful service make for a delightful dining experience. The pizza is wood fired and all ingredients are fresh and delicious.Be ready for a wait but have a drink next door. Great for all ages. Enjoy!
Super small place kind of tucked away in a spot you wouldn’t expect, with a really old school, charming feel. We ate here for lunch after the science museum. It’s an easy walk from there but small inside, we had to leave the stroller outside. I had the market salad and tried the margarita pizza. It was good! Small menu, so look it up before you go to make sure they have something everyone will like. The service was good as well, friendly and they did a good job. The cook helped me get a good picture of the oven from a better angle. 😊
Super good pizza. We got the Margarita pizza and a caprese salad both were good. Pizza was crispy also, which it didnt look like it would have been.
Go here! Do it! Closest Ive had in the states to food in Italy. The roasted veggies appetizer was incredible.
A beautifully rustic restaurant that takes me back to quaint trattorias of Italy. Alfredo and his brother craft some amazing food that, when shared family style, make for a great eating experience. Wood fired pizza, anti pasta, and good tomato’s in a salad made for fantastic meal. Grazie Mille!
Not a large menu but its all yummy. The biancoverde was our fave. Located in a beautiful location with some great spots for a photoshoot. Get there early because its smaller and there will be a wait but service is quick.
This is my favorite restaurant in Arizona. The food is excellent and the quality is next level. Of course the Pizza is what you come here for but our favorite is the Antipasto which is this revolving findings of meats cheeses and seasonal vegetables which are wood fire roasted. It’s a small building so don’t be surprised if you show up at peak times and have to wait more than an hour for a table. But the staff is friendly and so are the cooks they are awesome too!
The pizza is good with fresh ingredients. However I felt like there was room for more options.
Definitely one if the best pizza in downtown Phoenix. I love this style of pizza and glad I came here. They can be shared between two people or can be devoured by one, like I did. Its not on the cheap side but its nice once in a while when you want a sit down pizza.
Best pizza ever!!We have traveled all over and this pizza is our #1 favorite! We vote it better than NY pizza hands down. Fresh toppings. Thin yet soft crust. Perfectly seasoned and amount of sauce. Cooked to perfection.Melt in your mouth goodness!
First time in. If you take Adams you will end up in their valet parking lot, FYI. $5 to park wasnt terrible and a time saver Im sure. The hostess was a bit rude, so that was not a great first impression. They offered indoor and outdoor seating which was nice. Inside is not very big and they have single bathrooms. We got there a little after 5pm on a Wed and were able to get a seat right away. The server took our order and we did not see him again. There was another guy who checked in on us and got us more drinks. I had a pizza w/no sauce. It was good but I missed the sauce. The pizzas are woodfired and big. The draft pint of Crispy lager was tasty but overpriced at $7.50. Pizzas were $20 (isheach, beers ranged between $5 and $10 and soda was $4 and in a bottle. I felt it was overpriced for what we got, service included. Likely will not be back.
Amazing experience. Temperature was perfect to sit outside. Wish they had a little bit more options on the menu and also they do not serve liquor. But overall it was great. The food was phenomenal. A+
Delicious pizza. 🍕Nice and friendly staff. I would recommend ordering the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil plate. 🌿Exceeded my expectations, I will be returning.
Super delicious pizza with shaded outdoor seating 😍This was my first time, but my sister tried it last time she was in town and LOVED IT. This time, she ate it 2x in one week, its that good. And I understand the hype. Im not a pizza aficionado, but theres an obvious difference between this and Dominos. The dough is really nice, with a good balance between chewiness and crunchiness. The pistachio goat cheese one i ordered was a little dry, but the others with tomato sauce were brilliant. The salad we ordered with cheese and fruit was a nice starter and the bread/olive oil is free.We parked on the street nearby and the service was nice.
I was here a couple of years ago and remembered it being perfect. Its still great but an issue I had was with the middle part of the pizza. It was too hot to eat right away and by the time it was cool enough it to eat, the center was soggy. I would also stick with plain Margherita next time and not add the sausage. The flavors were amazing but it was difficult to eat and I dont think the addition of sausage helped it keep its shape or from all the toppings sliding off. I dont like cutting up my pizza and eating it with a fork. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent.
I teetered around deciding how to rate this restaurant and settled on 3 stars. I would say this is a cute spot for a date but not very family accommodating. There wasn’t really anything special about the food to be honest. It is more traditional Italiano but lacked the flavor of true Italy. The antipasto was pretty good and I would order that again. The “Handmade Mozzarella” is a caprese salad and I’m not sure why it’s not called such. We ordered the Margherita and the wise guy pizzas. The Margh was the better of the two. This restaurant is pricey for the menu being small, the portions being small, and the fact they must be more focused on the bar than the restaurant. I don’t think I would return because there are better restaurants in that price point.
Excellent simple food. Salad, pizza and drinks. They can get busy but its worth the wait.Awesome atmosphere. Old brick building that was used as a blacksmith shop back in the day. Walking distance to sports complexes.
