Limited-seating restaurant with a large variety of North Indian cuisine, especially snacks.
We ordered special thali- it had limited starters but they were yummy. Choice of beverage was given and served in a very small glass, wasnt enough! Main course plate was big and enough gravy + subzi served, had only one sweet in thali though. They served unlimited Indian flat bread like roti nd naan. Curd was fresh. Felt that table service was little slow, though restaurant wasnt crowded. Ambience was ok. Overall good but can improve.
Best place to have chat and north Indian food in Indiranagar... Their north Indian Thali is must try
Had their Raj Kachori and samosa chat it was pretty average. Was expecting it to be even better. It’s too pricy for it’s taste.
The restaurant serves north Indian dishes/chats. It was an average experience eating raj kachori and chole bhature. Personally, I found the place boring, there was no sense of liveliness. Seems like a place where you can get your snacks and leave. This isnt really the kind of place where you can relax and just hang out. The seating outside during the evening time is filled with swarms of mosquitoes. Although the pricing of snacks is on the higher side, it is okay considering that it is located in Indira Nagar 100ft road.
Taste is not something that I was expecting and the portion is very less as per the money that they are charging for chole bhature and kachodi . It has a nice ambience where you can go chit - chat and enjoy some snacks but only if youre going to get good food then Im sure Bangalore has better places where youll find good north Indian Delicacies.
You have to select item, pay bill on ground floor first and then on first floor sit and have on first floor. The food is too tasty and worth having. The place is clean and neat. A good place to take a break from shopping!
Please give a thumbs up if you like my reviewWe did visit on a weekday. Not much of Rush. We did goto Service Floor.Parking: Not very convenient.Ambience: GoodHygiene: YesItems Ordered:Pani Puri: 1/5 You will find it better on the Roadside than this.Samosa Chaat: 3/5. Taste was ok. Can try with mutter.Kachori Chaat: 3/5. Taste was ok. Can be tried with MutterChole Bathura: 2/5: chole Was ok.Pav Bhaji: 2/5 Not at the level of expectations.Panner Platter: 2/5 Not the bestOverall: I didnt expect the taste/quality what I was told.
We visited Bhartiya Jalpan for brunch. We had1. Chola bhatura- The bhatura was crisp and chole were good too.2. Papdi Chat - The curd was sweet, but overall good in taste.3. Pav Bhaji - Good , but less than the above two.4. Jalebi - Crisp and upto the mark!Would recommend to at-least visit once and check out the amazing north indian menu!
Good ambience, clean restrooms and nothing else. They say authentic north Indian dishes and they make it, and its nowhere near to as good as any dishes you can have in north India. Youll easily find dumb crowd here praising the above.Food - was okay and for the price paid it was not great at allFilling - very small portion, not worth the price you payService - bad, half of the time they forget what they are supposed to give you and sometimes you have to tell them what and all you get in certain combos.Parking - Nope, no parkingPrice- ExpensiveWent 2 times with family and also friends wasnt good both times.
Awesome taste 👌. Had the maha raja thali. Worth it. You can get all type of north indian veg cuisine, sweets and beverages also.
Food is good but prices are little at higher side. But if you want to have North Indian food - it must visit place.
Want to have Delhi style aloo tikki chat, try from here.Outdoor as well as indoor seating available. All types of North Indian chats to main course to sweets everything is available. Even dry fruits available.Located on the 100ft road Indiranagar

Quality is good. Must visit this restaurant. Pure veg only. Advisable to order thali. As a la Carta a little expensive. Although thali is also a bit expensive.
My review is specifically for food delivery/ take out.The food doesnt taste that good when you get it delivered. Also the quality of food is less
While the food is good, this place has lot of waiting before you get a table. Even after getting a table, we had to wait 40 mins to get our food served. Staff was very busy and was finding it difficult to manage everything. Some were not even friendly to talk. If you are in a hurry, better use the self service option than service on first floor. Ambience is also good. But, be sure to not use the restroom here. Its as worse as a public toilet. Quite surprising that this place doesnt maintain such hygiene. There no place for parking, so you need to search for one next to the road. Two stars are just for food and quality.
This is a good place where you get almost everything from chats to sweets to North Indian food. It has very good ambience and a good food to offer. I liked this place very much and would like to visit again. Had moong dal halwa and tawa cheese toast and it was good one. Also had North Indian food once and taste was good. My go to place now for any North Indian cravings.
Nice atmosphere, good staff with excellent service and food was amazingThali was good but should go with a big apatite. Good green and open restaurant at heart of indiranagar. SHAMIM service was excellent
Very nice dining area. Staff was also quite attentive. Food quite nice and tasty. We had lunch there. However, the dahi vada was a big let down. Otherwise okay
A very good option for vegetarian. There menu is huge and has some amazing option.- Dahi balas a must try- the panner platter was delicious.- the maharaja tali was ok, for elderly the rice is too hard, and surprisingly they didnt have any options like Kichadi.- the butter paneer was just ok.- overall a good experience.- no lift facility for elderly or physically disabled.- Ambience and the vibe is really good.- can get crowded and really noisy during on the weekends.- no parking facilities.- service tax shouldnt be added to the bill as part of the new law. we went and checked at the billing and they refunded the same.-Overly priced
The place wasn’t busy as we went on a weekday. The tea was good, the samosas weren’t good nor did it taste fresh. To me it felt like an old school place but slightly better than other local restaurants. It’s self service but the staff was just doing their job, no enthusiasm, no smile, no welcoming atmosphere.Personally I found the place boring, there wasn’t any liveliness. Seems like a place where you just have your tea/coffee/snacks and leave. Not really the kind where you sit, hang out and chill. This is my personal opinion.
The food options are good for North IndianBut no option for south dishesThe service is too slow, very long waiting times
Tasty North Indian chats and sweets. The best on 100 ft indiranagar
Good ambiance. Food is worst. We literally paid a lot of money for stale food and uncooked Potatoes in the curry. Half the menu was unavailable. You try to order something from the menu, the waiters will come and say “the ordered food is unavailable so please order something else.”Overly priced for the taste and serving. The only thing that was good from the menu was “Pav - Bhaji” which was cold but eatable.Worst experience ever. We saw that our adjacent tables had the same complains. We had to sit and wait almost for an hour for the food to be served.I wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone.
Great place with amazing food and drinks. Price was also great and they have a wide variety of Indian dishes. Will definitely come back and eat here.
A good snacks + meal place, many options for snacks, limited meal options.Outside seating, self service available, insite non ac self service seating also there, at ground floor.Along with sweet and savoery outlet (overpriced, avoid)1st floor AC service section available, with good ambiance. Good place to spend time ( many time wasters and MLM people will be there, so not a quite place)Food ingredients quality is very good, food taste is OK to good, Cost is higher [trust me panipuri 150, chole bhature 250 in AC section] (also, they will add 5% service charge on bill without asking)Service is very good and very helpful and kind staff, that is plus.Overall OK place, if you want to go with friends for spend time. Havent tried meal yet.Mango Lassi was good. Kachori chaat, Kachori was hard. Club kachori was OK. Malpua was OK, but costly
My personal experience and feel was not good at all. The restaurant is not hygiene and not clean. We could see 2-3 dead cockroaches on the floor. Guess what, found one small cockroach on the dessert jalebi as well. For which we complained the Manager, but he denied and tried convincing us some other way that "its roasted a bit. If you want I can eat and show". This answer was pathetic. Did not expect this from Bhartiya Jalpan as a brand and well rated restaurant. Disappointed with the food and hygiene.
Today we had team lunch here, I visited it for the first time. We ordered beverages, variety of chats, starters platter, subjis and breads. I liked all what I ate. In beverages shikanji, lemon soda and masala cola all were very good. In chats we ordered pav bhaji, aloo tikki chat, chole bhature, tokri chat, club kachori, paneer chilla, vada pav etc. All chat items were excellent. In main course we ordered dum aloo, kashmiri, kadai paneer, paneer butter masala and kulchas. All subjis were on sweeter side may be coz of the choice we made. Also ordered matka biriyanis, hydrabadi biriyani all were very good. Star of the show was starter platter which was out of the world. Especially paneer starter was excellent. It was very soft and tasty. Only problem we faced was they had turned off AC suddenly and it was too hot inside. But when informed they started it immediately. The cost is on higher side for all items. Overall it was a very good experience.
Food is good, but you need to wait too long for food to come and by the time food comes it will be cold and our stomachs also become cold. Service is too slow
As the name suggests this place on serves "Indian Food". I love the kachori and filter coffee here. The quality of the food is top notch, and the staff here is also very polite. Many times I have got these snacks packed, and the packaging is also very good.I would say that the pricing of snacks is on a bit higher side, but totally justified considering the vibes of Indra Nagar.
We had today ordered thru Swiggy the following1. Tawa panneer2. Hyderabad biryaniBiriyani was terrible, highly spicy, couldnt mouth it.We had to throw it away.Unfortunate your image will suffer with such unedible food. Will you refund the money now.
Taste is good but all the dishes are very oily, and from what I ate it appears like they kept reusing the same oil.Staff is not much courteous in the self service counter.Hope they improve these and overall experience would be amazing post fixing this.
Have been to this place regularly. They have a good north Indian menu.No Chinese :-)Also service and taste is good. Pricing is on a higher side, considering the ambience and Indiranagar.. its worth. Recommended with family and friends.
Umaaazing desserts and chats. Jilebi and Rabdi is epic! Also their papdi chaat and samosa chaat is good. It’s not too sweet like in another places. Portion sizes are small but totally worth it! Well packed for delivery.
A super clean, hygienic and spacious place to enjoy North Indian dishes especially snacks. The piping hot matar puri and alu sabji was yum ; samosa vada pav and Sikhanji was good.Fast service and efficient staff who are well organised. A great place for large family gatherings as they also have outdoor seating too. 👍👍
Wonderful ambience with paintings and very calm. They sell variety of sweets and savouries. There is self service and also service hall in the first floor. The food tastes good as expected. Good place to dine in with family.
The food had decent taste not something amazing! The puris were not so fresh and crispy..chaats were okay.. panipuri wasnt spicy....chai was good..Mango lassi 4/5Papdi chaat 3/5Panipuri 3/5Dahi puri 3/5Malpua rabdi 2/5Chai 4/5Kachori chat 3/5
Be it bfast, lunch or Dinner, Bhartiya Jalpan is the place to savour North indian delicacies. Always loved to indulge with a lot of items to choose from. You can also order online through swiggy or Zomato. Today we tried Malpua Rabdi, Aloo Samosa, Pani puri.
Delayed service, too long waiting time to get seat and the way waiter gave the bill was patheticHe just read out the bill amount and got an empty bill book with scanner and asked to pay.Once done he came behind us to handover physical bill like seriously what do I do with the billFrench fries + Lassi + Coffee costed us 350/- this entire drama took 45 mins to get seat and to be served
Good option for pure vegetarians (specially North Indian Cuisinesin Indira Nagar. Had the combo of tandoori roti and paneer. It was good. However there is no service in the ground floor. We thought out side area was only self service and inside we will get serviced. Had to get up from table 5-6 times to get the lassis, additional roti etc. Anyway, overall experience was good.
Feel like a little over rated place!Tastes are okay kind. Didnt like it much. But the presentation of food 👌Elachi and saffron tea tastes 😍😍 A Must try!
Did a takeaway, food was good and the quantity enough for 1 adult, the only thing which was the deal breaker was the sweet supplied, full of rose water and dry. Destroyed the taste of entire meal, if you know your sweet and dont mind the taste of rose water avoid it.
Pav bhaji was awesome, though a bit costly. Masala poori was not good. Dahi poori and Chole a good choice. Naan is bekaar. Gravies are not good.
Great food , service and ambience. Really loved the presentation. Thali is a must try here.
Overhyped place in my opinion. Pure authentic and north Indian menu, but they miss the authentic taste or wow factors for the food. Many other local outlets can easily beat their menu any day. Only suggest, if you’re looking for a hygiene place to taste all vegg north Indian menu; then a visit. Average experience overall.
Absolutely waste of time and money!!We decided to go to this place after seeing great ratings on Zomato and travelled 26 kms to have a good food experience. But it was so disappointing !They gave Kachori chaat instead of Aloo tikki chaat, and when asked, they did not accept the mistake either. ...In addition to this, the food was absolutely cold. And the waiters have all vague explanations about it.Half the order did not come to our table even after waiting for 45 minutes. And when confronted about the delay, they were like "ohh you havent received yet, we will see". And then comes the surprise. After another ten minutes, they say the food item is not available and order something else !!Absolutely irresponsible staff, high pricing and so not worth it.I will not recommend this place to anyone ever.
This place has some delicious chats and sweets. Indiranagar didn’t have a street food joint early, this place is one of the most popular restaurants here now. Very neat and hygienic place to visit for some North Indian food... The quality is very good and the chaat items are definitely a MUST HAVE.We tried the aloo tikki chat, paneer tikka, pav bhaji, vada pav, bhel Puri, jhal moori, Pani Puri , jalebi and finished with hot masala chai.I have been regularly visiting this place, every time I have enjoy my food experience here.
Very neat, clean and hygienic place to visit for some North Indian food... The quality is very good and the chaat items are definitely a MUST HAVE. Parking can be a concern as they do not have valet parking and the area being busy, finding car parking can be a challenge. As far as food is concerned, the place is certainly good.
By the look from outside and price of the menu, its supposed to be a premium category place providing good service to the customers and maintaining the sanity properly. But I felt nothing is upto the mark. Food is completely average in taste. A overcrowded place with no proper protocols followed. They literally dont care for the customers, its just all self service and self care (not expected when they take premium charges for the food). Theres no such thing as ambience. The only good part is, they have a good variety of Veg Menu to choose from. Over-all, in my opinion, its not worth the pay completely.
Awesome and yummy chats... Its simply delicious... Especially chats in the evening... The hot masala puri and rain is perfect combo... And shikanji soda.. Just yummm...
