The place is about 4-5 hours drive from Delhi and 1-2 hours drive from Jaipur. To start with, parking is available here for Rs 50. The guide is available here from Rs 100 to Rs 400, but clear everything with them at first. Some of them do not go with you till the very end or on the roof. Now, this place is historic and has an amazing story behind its ruins. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here and the best part, it has many places to explore. Its a one time visit. Recommended.

Known as the most haunted fort in India Bhangarh is situated at 83km away from Jaipur in Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is believed that this place is cursed and within one night those who failed to flee despite the curse died and they haunts the Palace. The main fort is now standing as a destruction. There were 5 gates and 3 walls before entering to the main compound. Market were there in between the main complex and 1st wall. You will walk through a ruined city from the main gate which was known as Javeri Bajar. You will find only roofless walls. Dont expect much to look here like other forts of Rajasthan. You are here to enjoy a destroyed city, a destruction of a fort along with a chilling story in the lap of Aravalli inside the green range of sariska.

Historical site under ASI. Situated at Gola ka Bas village near Ajabgarh on Alwar-Thanagazi-Ajabgarh-Dausa-Jaipur state Highway and approx.45 KM from Thanagaji Tehsil HQ.Ticket ₹20(onlineor ₹25 (offline). It is said to be haunted city having remaings walls of the bazzar for craftsman and traders with their homes at first floor. Inside is royal Fort which is having rudiments of it and all entrances with Indo-Iranian archs but all 5 temples are safe in structure. It is having such stinking smell of bats excreta that anyone can feel spirits here...in the rudiments of destroyed Fort. 7 storied fort having strong walls at entrance and beautiful carving at upper floors says its rich architecture and heritage. Needs to be maintained well by ASI.

This is thought to be the most haunted place in India. Its not allowed to enter it after sunsetDuring the day, it feels like a good place to enjoy. We did not have any feeling of haunted place. You enter through the gate. Ticket is 25 INR except for children younger than 15 years. Can easily buy tickets at the place. There are small kids claiming to be guides and charge 200 rs. We hired a guide inside and paid him 100 rs. However, you can easily read the legends associated with the fort online and we felt hiring a guide is a waste of money. The guide just takes you to the garden and drops you off there.Once you pass through the old market, there is a nice garden and then the fort. You can climb all the 4 floors for a great view of the entire area from the top. The prison cells do feel a little spooky and smell bad due to the bat droppings.Only lemon water stands are available outside the fort gate. For snacks or meals, Safari restaurant is present at a small distance.Beware of the monkeys as they will jump up for any eatables they spotAll in all, its a great place to visit for a small detour.

Its a good place to visit with friends. Its a broken fort, because of some curse and ghosts as they say. You can capture awesome pictures for your social media. Awesome landscape view from the fort. It doesnt look haunted during the day but I cant say about night. The parking ticket for a car is 50 rupees. Fort entry tickets are 25 rupees per person if paid in cash and 20 per person if paid cashless.Local people pretend to be a "Guide" and charge 100 rupees. If you want to see things and explore inside the fort which is full of Bats and dark as hell go with them else dont worry you wont miss anything. But if they charge more than 150 rupees dont take the deal its not worth it.Hope you got all you need. Feel free to DM me on my Insta @ajay.kome for additional details and queries. 😇

The Bhangarh Fort is a 16th-century fort built in the Rajasthan state of India. The town was established during the rule of Bhagwant Das as the residence of his second son, Madho Singh. The fort and its precincts are well preserved. The Bhangarh Fort is located on the border of the Sariska Reserve in the Aravali range of hills in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The nearest village is Gola ka Baas. The fort is situated at the foot of the hills on sloping terrain. The ruins of the kings palace are located on the lower slope of the hills; trees surround the pond area and a natural stream falls into the pond within the premises of the palace. The fort is located 235 kilometres (146 mifrom Delhi and the approach to the entrance gate of the fort in the last 2 kilometres (1.2 mistretch of the road is unpaved. The fort is 20 miles (32 kmfrom Thana Ghazi. The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport, which is 88.2 km from the fort. According to legend, a sadhu lived within the fort area, and it was his injunction that any house built in the precinct of the fort should not be taller than his own, and if the shadow of any such house fell on his, it would result in destruction of the fort town. When columns were added to the fort that cast a shadow on the sadhus house, the result was destruction of the fort and surrounding towns. According to another tale, a priest who was a practitioner of black magic fell in love with a beautiful Bhangarh princess with many suitors. One day, the priest followed the princess to the marketplace and offered her a love potion. However, she refused it, throwing it onto a large rock that consequently rolled onto the priest and crushed him to death. Before he died, the priest cursed the entire village, condemning it to destruction and desolation. Entering through the main gate of the completely ruined fort city, one can find temples, palaces, and havelis. In addition, there are four more points of entry to the fort: the Lahori Gate, the Ajmeri Gate, the Phulbari Gate, and the Delhi Gate. At the entrance of the main gate are many Hindu temples, such as Hanuman Temple, Gopinath Temple, Someshwar Temple, Keshav Rai Temple, Mangla Devi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and Navin Temple. The Gopinath Temple is built above a 14 ft raised plinth, and yellow stones are used for the carvings of the temple. The residence of the priest, called the Purohitji Ki Haveli, is located in the precincts of the temple complex. Next in order is the Nachan Ki Haveli (dancers palaceand Jauhari Bazar (market place), followed by the Gopinath Temple. The Royal Palace is located at the extreme end of the forts limits.

A stunning abandoned fort on the shadows of the Aravalli Hills, the ruins include rows of old bazar buildings, temples, gates, gardens and a palace. The location, setting, strangler fog trees and overall appeal make this place otherworldly and something out of a movie set.Come during the end of the day towards sunset and the entire place is yours, but leave before it’s completely dark or else you might be locked in which will be a bad idea.

Most haunted Fort of the Asia. Caution by Archaeological survey of India. Visitors are jot allowed after sunset to enter the fort. Many mysterious stories, behavior, trees, architecture and overall surroundings and place. Good and almost safe to visit in daytime and know about the history if you are intrigued about haunted places. Ranked at No. 1 haunted Fort in India. People and Machines/devices have spotted un usual activities in Bhangarh quite often and possibility of mysterious forces exists or maybe its just some scientific logic which is yet unexplored. Very thrilling and adventurous place to be in.

Popularly known for being the most haunted place in India, Bhangarh was, in fact, a flourishing town of ancient times. Built for his son, Man Singh I, in the 17th century by Madho Singh, one of the nine ratnas of Emperor Akbar’s court, Bhangarh Fort was once a thing of beauty and power. It is believed that over 10,000 people used to reside in Bhangarh before it was allegedly deserted overnight. The Bhangarh Fort is located on the border of the Sariska Reserve in the Aravali range of hills in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The nearest village is Gola ka Baas. The fort is situated at the foot of the hills on sloping terrain. One have to walk around more than a half kilometre through the ruins of an ancient market and town to reach the ruins of the actual fort. The ruins of the kings palace are located on the lower slope of the hills; trees surround the pond area and a natural stream falls into the pond within the premises of the palace. Standing in ruins, this 400 years old grand edifice and the spread market town still provide the glimpse of an ancient hustling bustling locality. ASI puts notices everywhere in the premises to stay away from the ruins after sunset.

Went there by road from Gurgaon. While going followed the Jaipur national highway and on return followed the Alwar Bhiwandi state highway. NH is the fastest with tolls. SH is slower but minimum toll. The last few kilometers to the fort are paved village road. Parking available at the fort entrance. Walking from the entrance to the main fort is tiresome and avoid it during extreme summer. Its worth visiting place for its magnificence but not for its paranormality.

Bhangarh is an Ancient Site protected and maintained by Archaeological survey of India. It does seem exciting with its stories of it being one of the most haunted places in India but the place itself doesnt offer much atleast during the daytime. It barely even looks like a castle anymore, surrounded by 4 beautiful temples, a huge lawn and a mesmerizing view of Aravali mountain range. But the Bhangarh doesnt seem to live upto its stories and excitement we usually see on internet. But if youre around the area its a decent place to spend some time at.

I was always curious about this place , due to its considerable amount of fear in people hearts, but it was very different from tales I heard. Its just magnificent epitome of architecture and beautifully maintain like heaven. As you will enter the fort, then there is long walk through ruins of fort and on left side after walking for 800 metres . There will be a road to temple and I must say that the temple is very beautiful and amazing. Got to know from local people that the idol of temple was stolen by aurangzeb. After you cross the temple and walk towards the actual fort, you will find another temple of shiv ji . You can offer prayers and see the ambience and can go mediation as well. After that you can go for actual fort. You need to work little tight on that as its on slopey side. The top view from the fort is amazing and flabbergasted. Its all green and amazing. Although I did not find any sign of any haunting or omniscience.

The roads are very nicely made so its a safe path to goIt gets closed by 5.30pm or 6pm because of the mythical touch which the fort has the curse of every one died in the fort. 15.10.21Bhangarh fort is around 75kms from Sariska. Some stretches of the single road which leads to this are real bad. Might have got damaged due to rains. Not many good restaurants on the way so it’s better to pack some food.Hire a local guide who will explain in detail and bring out stories of this haunted place. Their initial ask for the services will be exorbitant but later will settle down to Rs 200/-, though this also is high for the short services rendered.A 200 metres walk will lead you to the dilapidated palace and temple area. Be careful when you climb up and down the road which leads to the top of palace. It’s slippery. Also beware of monkeys, they will snatch away food items. They are all around.Nothing much to explain about the fort, only that no one is allowed to stay back after 5/6pm. You may google to find out the reason for this. It’s all sorts.Overall- A must visit place
