So far away from city so it quite and sound place to visit and also place is nice and beautiful but No good toilet in the jungle we had to come at a entrance gate for toilet.Main problem there is some couple come there for bad things 😅 beware if you are going deep inside jungle😅Place is soo good 👍 So have fun.THANK YOU

It was amazing when it’s been started. Where I used to give a visit every bi-weekly. The last visit was 2013 where I took 25 live cat fish to drop from doing puja(Chetharie aayu puja. Really miss my childhood place.USA

its a nice place to roam around and beside having so much empty space the wild animals are kept inside cage and I heard not given food properly and birds were also kept in small cages where they cant fly easilyIf you are a an animal lover you would probably get hurt but if you are genuine you can enjoy the wetlands roaming around 🙂

Situated at Morang’s Belbari, the Betana wetland is a popular tourism hub. The records of the wetland show that five hundred to eight thousand three hundred visitors visit the wetlands on a day-to-day basis contributing to its annual revenue of 15 million (sawa-crore).The wetland homes various species of tortoises, fishes, birds, and a collection of flora and faunas. It is known for the peaceful environment.To cope with the conversation of the region, Betana Wetland Community Forest User Group was founded in 2061. The conversation committee plans to adopt a 20-year master plan for the development and promotion of the region. In conjunction with the locals and government bodies, the committe aims at enlisting Betana wetland as a major tourist destination.Apart from the Betana forest, spread across 174.91 hectors, the region also includes an additional 16 percent wetland. 98 percent has been occupied by the forest while 6 percent of the forest is infertile. The master plan of development segregates the community forest area into three categories of development -- social, religious, economic aspects for development. Similarly, the master plan also explains the detailed situational study of wetland’s geological, biological, economic and social scenario, along with the map and overall design of the structure of the park.Likewise, the authorities of the wetlands carry out works in the restricted area looking to conserve the forests in the upper areas of wetland.  They monitor a national level sanctuary, crocodile breeding center, ecological resort, and research center. It further includes the conservation of native species of fishes, and marine and land animals. Crocodile breeding and tortoise species preservation programs are conducted to ensure the conversation of such endangered species. Emphasizing on waste management, the establishment of swimming pool or artificial lake for boating and fishing is equally prioritized.Harit Nepal Development Pvt. Ltd. manages additional development projects in the Betana Wetlands. The organization is establishing electrical lines, and communication mediums for telephones and internet, and further monitors drinking water distribution. Officer of the contractor company, Keshab Aryal, informed that a technicial group of nine people are affiliated with this project. To effectively continue the work of master plan, interaction program with the participation of local representatives, politicians, journalists and other stakeholders are held on a regular basis. Participant of interaction program shared their suggestion about the master project. It is estimated that approximately 1.5 billion rupees is required to complete the master project that has been planned for the development and promotion of the Betana wetland.

Very nice place to visit and have fun with friends and family too. Visiting Jungle, Boting in a small pond is very nice. Its easy to get entry pass and not so expensive. You can enjoy the moment. Saturday is a little bit busy.

Cool place near Belbari and on the way to kakarvitta. This place has enough space in fromt but the parking here is not so managed so that there might be a bit problem in parking. Entrance fee here is 10-20rs nepali currency after the entrance you can see the water pond where you can find variois species of fishes and tortorise, this place has been the oldest place in that highway during past days this place was just a normal park full of trees and flowing water where people just made as a park but now after the management it is good to hangout here. Mostly school students and other come for picnic where peoples can stay in the middle of trees and have fun of eating in peace also here are the huts made for people to stay and enjoy the nature. Boating is also available here at the cost of 150per person in which the boats run using paddle in it. As one of the natural place located in eastern highway Belbari do visit once and share the experience.🌲🌳🦢🐬🐟🐠🦀🐌🦋

This place provides recreation not only for individual but also for family,institution and so on.But the management for animals is not good there is no description of animals there is no proper protection for animals.But the place is eco green, where you can have quality time.

The place is nice to be accurate. Huge forest huge lake, boating . Many huge fishes different kinds. Varieties of birds, clean. Rs.30 entrance fee, small zoo kinda thing with mostly monkeys caged. Does have python and owl and some other species. The place is for couples to be honest. Can see lot of couples around kissing and hughing around. Hehe and alot of picnics.. famous for Picnic.

Trees all around... Boating is a must... Heard there were deers earlier, but couldnt find any when I had been there. Views are awesome... Different types of animals are caged and up for display...
