Nice stay at this hotel. Staff really helpfull and nice. 100% recommended.
Stayed recently with a friend. Classy hotel that could not be more central for walking around this lovely city. The room was lovely (2nd floorand the reception staff friendly and efficient. LOVELY place to stay oh and the breakfast too was GREAT!!
Location is good for access to the old city, however parking is a real problem. The hotel only has 10 car park spaces and they must be booked in advance of your stay. There is a public car park round the corner for approx 15 Euro per night.Service at breakfast was good, room service was excellent. Room was excellent with a view up to thd old city.
Everything was great, comfy bed and good pillows! Shower was not brilliant. Location close to train and food.
Horrible my room was infested by mosquitoes I got bite so many times it was just a horrible experience I tried to get a new room and it’s like talking to a wall. I’m definitely going to complain to management worst stay in Italy by far and I been here for 2 weeks and this is the worst hotel I stayed at and i only been a day here
Great location, walking distance from the train going to the old part of town.
Stayed in the hotel for a week, location is perfect near to the station, staff is very friendly especially the housekeeping is very efficient.Charges are very economical so overall the hotel is highly recommended especially the view at night is amazing.
Unhelpful staff, caused me a panic attack when asking for a place to stay during my meeting. Was not able to serve even when offered money. Never stepping there again!
Second stay here for work and it is a very good hotel, staff are excellent, all very helpful and polite. Two different rooms and they were both good and quite different which was nice.
Rooms are okay, cozy. Washrooms are compact but it is located at city center. Everything located at just footsteps. If travelling for business or leisure, this hotel will not disappoint you at all.
Lovely hotel. Reception was so helpful with making dinner reservations. Highly recommend.
Very nice hotel, with excellent service, beautiful view and cozy modern rooms
Very nice position, at the center and also close to airport (15 minutes). Personnel was friendly, smiley, and with good English, with some exceptions where communication was more difficult. Breakfast with 10 Euros could be with more choices.
The hotel is located in a great location in the lower part of town. Half of the rooms are renovated, the others are a little tired, but still perfectly acceptable. We stayed in one of the older rooms during a hot few days in August. Unfortunately for us the aircon gave out on night one, and it was impossible to sleep in the heat, so we ended up changing rooms at 3am. The staff were brilliant in giving us a new room in the renovated part of the hotel, no extra charge. So points there, very happy with the friendly service we received. Minus one star for the breakfast setup (understaffedand terrible coffee machine in the dining room. Make sure to avoid this and approach staff for a ‚real‘ espresso…All in all, great value for money, go for the superior room if aircon is required.
Very nice hotel, friendly and helpful desk staff, good wifi, modern rooms. Ask for a room away from street noise. Thin duvet, so you wont overheat like many hotels. Larger than life statues in the lobby. Easy to find from the train station. Large balcony for some rooms. Glad we stayed here.
They would not refund me my money for the reservation. I explained to them that my flight and the medical conference got cancelled and I have no way to fly to Bergamo. They are basically unethical, greedy and hungry thieves with the worst customer service ever.
Breakfast was at best average.Heating in room was constantly on, and they told us that they would fix it, but did not.Room is a little bit outdatedThey changed all the towels even though we hanged them back on the rackReception staff is trully not focused, and of little help. First time as a BW platinum, but did not recieve any points, had to pay extra for extra guest, breakfast was not free, and got a crapy room. Doesn not make it easy to return
Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Great breakfast and location as its right in the city center. Would highly recommend
The staff were really nice and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful street view, but a bit noisy. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of choice, and the service was impeccable. We really enjoyed our staying!
Good location and excellent service. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good. The beds are too hard and the AC is a bit noisy but I still think it was a great stay.
Dows a job. Stay here on business. Rooms are a bit outdated but decent and clean. Good restaurant also. Bar not that good but fine for a quick drink before heading out.
Its a fairly traditional hotel, not really modern by any standards but very comfy, quiet and clean. Check in was very fast as was check out and the staff are very friendly. Food wise was limited by tasted excellent and the location is only a 5 or 10 min walk to the lovely squares of drinking and eating heaven! Would stay again!
The quality of services has greatly declined compared to the past!We had few problems that havent been considered by the staff. They never apologised or took our remarks into consideration. My dad had to change room the first night due to a very bad smell. He was moved to a room which was a category under. The mattress was so old and untidy that he was stung by insects. He took the picture of other insects that he found (on his bed, on the floor). We reported it to the reception but once again, they didnt care. They asked us to write an email which we did but never received an answer. The staff is very young with no experience and definitely not inclined to take any decision. Just useless...BAD EXPERIENCE
Great option in bergamo. If you stay out of high city, consider this hotel. I was lodged in a big Room with comfy beds. Includes a good breakfast. Many restaurants around. In a walking distance to points of interest, as Academia Carrara, historic churches and the high city
I thought the rooms were really dated and that made it not feel clean. Breakfast options were not very good, so I didnt even eat anything. Location was a quick 6 minute walk to the train station so that was nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I give this 3 stars because I wouldnt stay here again due to the rooms not feeling clean enough.
Great location when staying and visiting Bergamo. Service is good. Restaurant is good. Bar is limited but plenty others locally. Rooms a bit dated but clean and tidy.
Very accessible to transportation..few minutes walk from train station and theres a bus stop in front of hotel going to airport.bergamo.theres a Catholic church in front of hotel. Beds very comfortable and staff are all helpful. Good breakfast..
A very well moder furnished hotel situated in the very heart of Bergamo bassa, closed to it, there are many good restaurants which serves typical food, the hotel offers a very good international breakfas and the stuff is simply amazing..Surely we will call again, keep up the good works guys..
good afternoon,in regards to your response I thank you for the concern ... but I am still unhappy with the various times that occurred during my stay.I chose to stay in a best western because I already knew and well the hotel chain, so much that we came from another in Mestre venice. It all started with the fact that an employee (emanuelstarted laughing when one of the people who was with me was stuck in a revolving door at the entrance and had hurt himself. The rooms were clean but the bed had the old mattress to the point of having two major deformations in it. The shower was ridiculously small and for more than once there was no hot water. In this way, I was very discounted because I was the one who suggested this hotel the various people who were with me.I appreciate your concern.but I think this hotel spoils what for me would be a best westernbest regards
135 euro for one night, room is slightly bigger than the bed it self. Worse hotel I have stayed in Milan. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Hotel front staff is very kind and supportive. They also speak excellent English. However, the room, I must say is insanely small. I recommend this hotel for people who want to experience jail, - jail that cost over 130 euro per night. If you have much money to blow, I recommend it to be donated rather than spending a night here. Much better hotels near station with better price and better room. Hotel seemed to have "Jammed" a lot of rooms to make revenue. Ive been to other best wetin hotels, this was the first to be so disappointed.
No air conditioning in any room, had to sleep with window open on a Main Street.Sweated all night and no sleep due to noise.WiFi signal low to non existent.Horrible experience overall.
Excellent location within a short walk to the train station, easy access to local areas. Great room size. Helpfull staff.
I am guest of the hotel for six years. I was received always with special attention and entire personnel made me feel as I was at home.Good and variate breakfast.Great value for the money!I would gladly recomend, and I will return here as many times as possible.
The rooms were very very small. The bathroom didn’t even have a door, only partially see-through sliding glass. The staff is nice and everything, and it’s clean, but the rooms are way way too small for comfort
It is in a central point of the town. It has beautiful view. The staff is very helpful.it is clean. It has nice breakfast.i think it should be a little cheaper not according to what it offers but according to the town that it is.
We stayed in this hotel on a short break to Bergamo with another couple of friends. A very clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location for the railway station and the town centre. A bus stop for the airport bus was just outside the hotel so easy to reach without the need of a car.The hotel offered an excellent choice for breakfast and a reliable wifi connection. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly, efficient and helpful .
Pretty chique hotel, but the wi-fi is straight up bad. Clean rooms. We booked a room where someone smoked in, so we had to ask if we could get another one. Would give 2.5 stars if possible.
Very convenient, plenty minor details thought out -- they thought about virtually everything you might need. Breakfast is so diverse -- it would satisfy a carnivore, a vegan, a person holding any diet.
Shower door kept breaking and the cooked breakfast was cold but this was 7 am. Beds comfortable the hotel is clean but they only give one shower gel and shampoo combined which is not enough
An excellent hotel with an amazing, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Very central, in the best part of Bergamo. It is very near to the train station and also to Citta Alta. The airport bus which only costs 2 euro 30c stops opposite the hotel. It is very clean, the rooms are really nice and breakfast is delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very comfortable rooms, all is clean and well decorated. Respecting to the breakfast, food is well and variety is not big but enough for a continental breakfast.
Good clean rooms and a nice bathroom. Location is excellent and did not regret staying here for 2 nights. Wifi connection is poor but with new EU mobile service laws within Europe it did not matter for me. Breakfast options were healthy, tasty and very good for a hotel. Staff is friendly.
Reviews do not do it justice. Superb location, very helpful staff. Our room was perfect, with the extras... Dressing gowns, fridge, hair dryer, coffee/tea etc. Which you expect, but dont always get.Paid 5euros each for breakfast each day, large buffet with plenty of choices for every taste.Would highly recommend.
Good position with a few minutes walk from the train station and a few meters from the airport shuttle bus and bus to citta alta. The pedestrianised Shopping area two corners away. The hotel meets and exceeds its 4stars.
Centrally located on a busy street but set back by a wide sidewalk. There are good restaurants close by and in easy walking distance. The hotel is reasonably quiet and the staff is very friendly. Visible access to the elevators for the wing in which I stayed requires going up several stairs across a few small landings which is awkward for heavier rolling luggage. The included breakfast buffet was very good and offered a solid variety of options though.
Great location near the walking streets with a view of the Citta Alta. A fantastic breakfast buffet with a wood fire every morning. The pastries were the best I have had. Staff was helpful and spoke English. Parking available nearby for 15 euros a day. Bus stops right in front of the hotel. The funicular to the Citta Alta is a 5-minute walk.
Great hotel inmidst (lowercity of Bergamo!I was invited there by friends and location, facilities, breakfast and service were great! The room was small but clean and good (LCD-TV, minibar, boiler with tea/coffee, ...).The breakfast was very good: cereals with fruits and joghurt, countless cakes/sweets, fried eggs/eggs/baked beans, cheese and ham, different breads, specialities for children... One of the best breakfasts I had in Italian hotels until now.The service was very kind! Free WLAN was good also.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel facilities were excellent providing umbrellas in the rain and an ironing board for my wrinkled shirts. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices available.
Stayed here twice during the Italian GP weekends in 2013 and 2015. Nice hotel, adequate facilities, I liked the quirky decor, very Italian. Close to bus and train connections, Bergamo airport is also close with no air traffic noise to say of, unless there is a take-off at night time.Within 20-25 mins walk uphill to funicular to the beautiful old town (A must see in Bergamoalso for eating at night time, lots of restaurants are close by and within a 10-15 min walk. Also, in the same frontage of the Hotel, the best Ice Cream shop resides, worth a try. Supermarket is also close by, about a 5-10 minute walk, difficult to get to, but to those who know, its easy to get to.I would like to see the bathrooms get a little overhaul as it may have been a while since they have had a overhaul. The only thing id like to have is more choice of TV channels, as i was limited to CNN as the only English speaking channel. Staff are really helpful.Overall, I will stay there again. If the Italian GP stays at Monza or if it stays on the calendar at all.
We visited Bergamo with a group of 34 people and stayed at the best western - hotel capello doro for 2 nights. The staff was friendly, the rooms were big (most of them), everything was clean and nicely decorated. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. The street is kind of loud and the air conditioning doesnt work like youd expect it to do but all in all everything was great! We liked it there and would love to go back!!Thank You!
