Berrada - Moroccan restaurant in Fes, Morocco
Amazing! Just amazing! The best lamb in the world and I don’t usually eat lamb. The owner’s son is such a great guy too. I loved going into the kitchen and tasting before ordering. A must when in Fes.
Great service! Must try in Fes if you wanna eat like a local - food has a taste and its delicious 😋
Great food, great people, great value.
Best meal and dining experience we had in our entire time in Morocco. Upon entry, we were immediately handed forks and taken to the kitchen to taste all the dishes so we could choose what we want to eat. The small plates of salads were delicious, and the homemade harissa was incredible. Worth the trip to Fes.
Best place if you wanna taste the real flavour of Morocco!! No doubts.. you need to try! Lovely staff 😍
Nos encantó. Comida casera a buen precio y un trato inmejorable.
This restaurant soars far above any other I’ve been to in Morocco. We were instantly met with such warmth and kindness by the family who own it, who were obviously very proud of their establishment. And justifiably so! The food was incredible - and before taking our order, the family directed us into the kitchen to try respective tagines (beef or lambin order to gauge what we liked best. It was so delicious; I’ve been vegetarian for 5 years, but the beef tagine made me forget all about that. They also brought out a heap of food (that they didn’t charge us for- like beans, spinach, caramelised onion etc.The whole experience was just so beautiful and the food was exceptional. I wish I wasn’t leaving Fez tomorrow so that I could go back for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Estuvo rico, voy a volver.
We were brought here by our tour guide as this place is voted on trip advisor as a must visit restaurant. A little hesitant since this wouldnt necessarily be our choice of restaurant but we were already in the medinaThere are 2 floors, the top floor was mostly used by families with a small bathroom it was quiet warm up there but they did have a fanThe bottom floor was filled with individuals enjoying tea.Onto the food: they let us try the food before we decided on a dish which was great. The kafta kabob was delicious, they brought smaller side dishes; lentils, beans, eggplant. The kabob tagine was tasty as well. The chicken on the other hand tasted gamey & the sauce tasted burnt. This was our least favorite. The service was great, we ended the meal with mint tea. It was also one of the cheapest meal we had in fes.
Excellent restaurant typique marocain.
One of the best places is fes. The Customer service is top-notch and food is delicious. I encourage you to try the kebab tagine
Excellent service
Amazing food and great service! The best food in Fes
Just WOW!Best food so far.. a real nice experience
Excellent food prepared by a friendlyocal family. Possibly our best meal in Morocco. Complemetary tea at end of meal and very reasonable prices
Very delicious food (60 dirham , plate and drink). Nice hospitality.
Amazing food for a low price. The beef tajine was tasty and came topped with homemade chips (French fries). They had us come into the kitchen to try each tajine they were making to decide which we wanted. A smattering of small plates were brought out with bread before the tajines and all were tasty. My girlfriend got the lamb and was thrilled with it.

Good quality everything
A quaint family style restaurant where they give you a limited selection. The owner is very friendly and invites you into the kitchen to sample the mains. With the large TripAdvisor signs you Cant miss it
Great food, very welcoming staff. One of our trips highlights.
Tajinin en güzeli burada. Kusursuz lezzet, doyurucu ve uygun fiyatlı menü. Temizliği göz azdı ederseniz harika bir yemek yiyebilirsiniz! Tüm menüler 50 dirham.
Restaurant family Berrada is a good one, in an old Riad, and its served by a gentle family, you can tast earlier the food in the kichen, and then you can make your choice, various small plates are offred, Moroccan kichen, traditional, and a good Moroccan Thé, but not easy to find.
Great restaurant run by a great familyAs soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted &taken into the kitchen to taste various options fromthe menu so I could choose my favourite. It wasobvious both from the taste of the food & from thelooks of the chef that they are good at what they do& justly proud of it.After making my choice (beef tagine I was shownto a table & given a glass of delicious teaWhilst waiting the short time between sitting & eatingI noticed that the restaurant had quite a large localclientele which for me is always a good signWhen the food arrived I was certainly notdisappointed in either the quantity or quality or valueof both the main meal & the accompanying bread /dipsAt the front of the restaurant there is a grill whichwas serving delicious looking meats which I hope tobe able to sample before sadly leaving Fez.Based on this single visit I recommend unreservedlythat any visitor to the area seek out this restaurant.
Unique !
Great family restaurant, the minute you go there they invite you to their kitchen to try the different food they have prepared before you order. And all of them taste really good. Friendly people with friendly prices. The kufta (bbq minced meatand lamb is one of the best I’ve tasted so far. Paid 180 dirhams for 2 people and 3 dishes, comes with bread and sides that will fill you up.
Very nice clean
The dining experience here was really nice. The ladies led us into the kitchen to try out he food before ordering. Must say this family-run restaurant is very nice. Glad to see that it’s women running it as well.We had lamb, meatballs, and chicken Tajine. The lamb was tender, meatballs and chicken were both flavorful. The variety of the starters were also very good as well, with all kinds of veggie dips like zucchini spinach and onions. The meal costs 180 for three tagines. Pretty good prices compared to other tourist rip-offs, but maybe still slightly pricier than usual local places.Anyhow, would def recommend.
Trzeba pytać o drogę lokalesów, wszyscy znają to miejsce. Serdecznie polecam.
Lovely owner and staff but most importantly the best food I’ve had during my stay in Morocco. Must try if you are in Fes!
Berrada restaurant is just an amazing local place where to eat in Fes and Mr Berrada is worth a visit either you eat or not, he is so friendly and youll love him as soon as you step inside the restaurant. Great and delicious food, cost around 80 Dirhams per person. Ill be back!
Very friendly family-run small café/restaurant serving a good Moroccan set menu.
The best restaurant in Fez!! I highly recommend this place! Mainly local people eat here, the food is delicious, great service and very good value. Enjoy!
There are 2 ways to look at Berrada restaurant. If you know what you want and it is an old-fashioned "beldi" (means localmom-and-pop resto with amazing food, then this is actually 5-stars. However, on the other end of the scale if you expect the ritz then its simply a dump with very badly-presented food that just happens to taste amazing.Assuming you belong to group A, then you are in for a treat. The people are awesome, they let you taste everything right there inside the kitchen, the food is AH-MAZING (the beef tajine main was so good I actually ordered a second main!), and the ambiance could not have been more authentic than this. If you wanted to experience the real morocco, this is it.Having said that, this place is actually very expensive given the "class" of it. Mains cost roughly 25 MAD (12 USDwhich is an exorbitant amount for a very small local place with small portions. They are clearly benefiting from local tourist guides bringing them business to be able to charge this much. That aside, it is definitely a must-experience for someone who truly appreciates authenticity.
Some of the best food Moroccan food weve ever had.Walked in and were whisked to the kitchen by Yusra, who runs the restaurant with her parents, where we were given a spoon of each the different tajines in the kitchen (lamb, beef, kofta, vegetables). After trying four of the dishes (she fed us a spoon each of every single tajine - felt like I was in my grandmothers kitchen), we chose the beef tajine and took a seat.We were quickly served Moroccan bread and appetizers, some of the best mezze weve ever had. By the time we finished the comimentsry starters, the tajine arrived, followed by complimentary mint tea. Total bill came to 50dh.Ambience is homely and kept relatively cool with fans. Ample seating, believe the place has a another floor as well. Lots of people coming in and out, didnt see any tourists when we were there, likely as the place can be tricky to get to (not far from Al qawarayyin, zouia Sidi Tidjani, tanneries, etc.). A must visit for lunch when in Fes Al Bali.
the family restaurant is situated in a local market, they brought us into the kitchen to try a few tajine right after we stepped into the place and to place our order! tajines are nice but grilled chicken is slightly dry. But their moroccan appetisers are the best that we had in morocco so far!😋
Best kebab (brochetteever. Juicy char-grilled bbq. It was so nice we ordered same plate again. Local restaurant with friendly staffs in the middle of medina.
He still has it. Very friendly place, good tasty food, picturesque.
Authentic Moroccan food! Slightly pricey but worth to try.
Great Moroccan food, the owner is very friendly and fun. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for something typical and not a tourist oriented restaurant!
Great tajines and the most fun, loving service in Fez. The owner will personally make you feel at home. Expect to pay around 200 dirham for three people including small appetizer, three tajines, keftah skewers and a water
On our second day in Fez a friend working at a local restaurant recommended this place. It was just what we wanted! Absolutely delicious flavorful food and great service. Definitely a must while visiting Fès
