Excellent date night spot. Food was delicious and the drinks were outstanding 👌 staff was awesome too!

My dad and I had dinner at Bernies the weekend before last and let me tell you, we had an amazing experience!!!! Everything from the service, to the ambiance was perfect! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The food was so delicious!!! If you have not tried the perogies, they are a must and come to find our they are authentically made by a Polish family and delivered to Bernies. The owners definitely know what they are doing, and we also love that it is family owned. We will absolutely be back!!!

Casual Atmosphere/Fine Dining at it’s best. The chicken schnitzel and clam chowder are our favorites. The tuna poke appetizer was also unique and refreshing!

Tried to have a party of 6 visit for Sunday lunch but they are not handicap accessible. They refused to put 2 tables together and said we will have to use the stairs. I have never been to a place that was so unwilling to accommodate somebody who can’t walk up stairs. There were plenty of empty tables and space to move them together.

I doubt the owner would like to hear this but it’s the truth. Horrible service today.We got here 15 min before opening and was told they weren’t open for another 20 min. We sat at the patio and waited. 5 after 4:00 and nobody cared to come say a word to us. Just 10 feet away through glass windows are 5 employees watching us sit here and not one has come to take our order. It’s now 4:10 and we’re leaving. I worked in restaurants for 8 years as a bartender and manager, I would ga e. been fired if the owner saw what just happened.Update: I walked in and spoke with the bartender/manager. Her first comment was “ we don’t open until 4”. I said “it’s 4:10”. She then said, “we didn’t know you were out there”. Then I looked straight at my table and wife through the window. She then said,” Well did you go to the host stand or sit yourself?” I said well, we first came in and told you were closed. So we sat outside and waited till you opened. I assumed your five employees and yourself could see us since we made eye contact through the window and I expected someone to have the decency to say, “hi, we’re open now and would like your business, what can we get you”. Maybe that was too much to ask.

Tried to come here for first Friday and we sat down waiting and a server never showed after being told to leave when the doors were unlocked because they “Weren’t ready for customers yet” as the employees were just hanging out at the bar. I hope the owner will review the cameras from 4pm today to see how his waiters and large female manager treated us.

I went here a few months ago so I don’t remember the specifics, but the service was incredibly slow and disorganized, the drink tasted like 90% alcohol despite me asking for it to be “light” and the food was bland and rubbery. I’m not sure if they’re under new management recently based on all of the older rave reviews but I was incredibly disappointed and have not, and have no plans to, return.

This is my familys favorite restaurant in the Atlanta area! Everything we order is always amazing. Best burgers in the area hands down. They can actually cook a medium rare burger properly every time, which is seemingly an impressive feat since we rarely have such consistency elsewhere. Great beer selection and nice old fashioned. Extremely accommodating of children and never had a bad server. We love Bernies and are always shocked and appalled when we see bad reviews.

Bernie’s is a cool spot for lunch or dinner located in the heart of Kennesaw. The food is delicious and their menu has plenty enough variety for everyone to find a favorite!

Unfortunately, the service was not good. Having a waitress that is attentive makes all the difference and this one was not at all. Felt rushed to pay and leave. Food was delicious.

Great dinner spot! Very attractively decorated, and lots of great options for a pescatarian diet. I especially liked the rigatoni pesto primavera.

Good service with Applebees quality food.They missed timed the cooking. So they let my food sit under a lamp. My cod was rubbery, fries were tough cause they cook a batch and let sit, then plate fries as needed, and my cole slaw was warm(good flavor). Our other plate the pad Thai tasted like they used frozen vegetables.Great whiskey and draft selection.Great place for a drink. Meh for food. Staff is wonderful.

The Brisket & Short Rib burger was probably the best bigger I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few good burgers in my life time.

I ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was served on top of a sweet, syrupy sauce that ruined the dish. The calamari was tiny and swimming in the sweet sauce. I asked for a side of roumelade and although the roumelade was good, it couldnt save the super sweet dish. For my meal, I ordered pad thai; HUGE MISTAKE! The noodles were overcooked and soggy, the chicken was grilled but burnt and it seemed like they threw a few planters peanuts and cilantro on top of the dish as a finish. Not an enjoyable experience. Never returning.Positive note: The oysters were delicious.

Incompetent from the beginning. Service is terrible. Walk in and tell the hostess that I want to do a Togo order. They send me to the bar. Blonde bartender laser focused and talks to 2 customers for 10 minutes. A guy restock beer and says how can I help. I tell him I want to do a to go order. "We arent doing to go." Well take it off Google and tell your front of house. Wasted 15 minutes standing around and waiting. Bernies has gone DOWN hill. Used to eat here all the time and my parents walk across the street to eat here. Service is no longer part of their moto.

WOW. This restaurant’s taste, ambience, and customer service is TOP TEIR. From the host stand to our table we were greeted by friendly staff. Our server Brooke was very knowledgeable and passionate when talking about the menu. Her overall service was 5 stars within itself. The food was absolutely mouthwatering! We had appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Every bite was exquisite.

Called to ask if there was a long wait time, was told that there was not. I asked if it will get busy in about 20 to 30 minutes, I was told no and that they were slow. made it there and couldnt be seated inside. When i asked the hostess she didnt know they wait time for the next table. I have dined at Bernies before and never had an issue.

The roasted beet salad is both a refreshing item and well put together. A lot of places disregard root veggies and wholesome ingredients like the ones they put in this salad. Well recommend it, as well as the plenty of other items on the menu. Seems like a nice place to have a drink or two as well. Staff are friendly and the drink selection covers just about all. If only Kennesaw stayed up later like it used to.

We are visiting from Tennessee and have never been to such a rude restaurant ever. We waited outside for 25 minutes at a table to eat there a man came out and said they will be opening in 5 minutes, no one came out after they were open knowing we were out there. Then we were talked to like dogs by the older lady sitting people my husband has never been talked to like that in such a way. We got up and left we will not be talked to like that and will NEVER come back to Kennesaw.

Bernie’s killed it!!Food, service, and ambience were all 5 stars, just a great experience overall.The pierogi were fantastic, and the french dip is superb. The aus jus is super flavorful.We all enjoyed everything we had, and our waitress was very attentive and kind. We’ll be back often!

This place has their act together! Perfectly made food delivered to the table by pleasant and trained wait staff.Good variety of menu items to choose from.

The pretzel, the chicken schnitzel, and our server Leah were AMAZING! We had a wonderful night out. I cant wait to go back!

Weve eaten here twice and both times its been great. Very good food and excellent and friendly staff. Cool vibe to the place as well. I would recommend the burger and pierogi appetizer.

I went here with my mom yesterday (3/12/22and the food was amazing! I had the salmon BLT and my mom had the burger and we both enjoyed our food. It was a huge chunk of salmon and was cooked perfectly. They have some top notch talent in the kitchen. I had one issue, however; I felt like our server did not prioritize our table over others and was talking bad about us to the other staff behind our backs. Very condescending attitude the few times he came to our table and our appetizer (crab fritters, also amazing 😋took 30 minutes to bring to the table when his other tables (who arrived later than we didhad already gotten their full meals. Our meals took another 20 minutes on top of that. I’m not sure what contributed to it, both my mom and I were in customer service for years and are never rude to staff and tip well…but I definitely had the feeling that the waiter hated us and me specifically. I do know that good customer service entails treating everyone with respect regardless of what you think about them, especially if they didn’t do anything wrong to you. I will 100% be back because I live close and love the food, and I’ll probably update this review if the service is better. Seems like the service was better for everyone else 🙃

This place has a wonderful atmosphere! The inside is beautiful! Our server was above and beyond! The food was incredible

Stopped in on a whim for lunch. Food is chef inspired and some of the best weve had in the state of Georgia. Started with Bavarro pretzel and had pad thai and chicken schnitzel for entrees. Drink menu is concise but inclusive. 10/10 would recommend.

Went for a special Valentines dinner and had exceptional food and service! Highly recommend!

I have to admit, I had very high hopes about this place, being from the good reviews and a couple people mentioning it in passing. The building is inviting, open and in an amazing location. The menu is written in a way that makes you want to eat everything, unfortunately, you wont want to do that. The appetizers that we started with were good, highlight of our meal, crab fritters and queso, and that is where it should have stopped. I ordered the steak & frites, medium, it came out well done and inedible, no problem things happen. I change my order to the brisket burger, medium, came out well done. Ok, I sense a trend,  whatever, ill keep it. Burger has onions, bacon jam and blue cheese on it. Drowning in blue cheese, drowning. Trash. Gf gets the pasta Primavera,  it was decent. They offer us a complimentary desert to make up for the botched food, so we indulge, and get the Creme Brulee.. now I didnt read the menu to see if it was some kind of special but it was more like flan from the grocery store with a bit of sugar, and then to give the final huh, they throw a big chunk of ice cream on top. Had high hopes, shouldve kept low expectations.

We had the blackened Salmon BLT and Pad Thai w chicken. Both dishes were very good. The atmosphere is cozy. We will come back.

The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Everything weve had on the menu is very good. The Pan Fried Pierogies are a must! We get them Everytime and they are always amazing. The Dinner Salad goes well with them. Pretty much everything on the app menu is good.The Schnitzel, Noodle Bowl, and Camp McDonald are also good to get as well.They have local beers on tap, and the Ultra Violet martini is good.Great place to go.

We love Bernie’s! We mostly go for apps and drinks but their main courses are really good too! They’re just so big that we usually get full on the apps and take the meals home, lol. There can be a bit of a wait for a table if it’s a busy night, but it’s well worth it! Service is very friendly and prompt. And the food is very yummy!

Great choice! It has a fantastic atmosphere and we had superior, gracious service. Its in the middle of downtown Kennesaw and kots of outdoor and indoor seating!! Bernies food is top notch and not run of the mill. We had the chicken nachos with blue chips, avocado and a house made queso that is not like anything else! Loved them! We also had grilled oysters on the half shell with cheese, LOTS OF CHEESE! Our drinks were great from the bar and my favorite turned out to be the peach sangria! Go give it a try!!

Chic atmosphere, kind waitress and hostess. I had the McDonald burger and Bavarian pretzel as an appetizer. The pretzel was good and the beer cheese that came with it was also good! The burger you could tell was fresh, and so were the toppings. I would just say that the burger itself is a little salty and a little bit dry. My dad added bacon to his and it was over cooked. The fries were great! I recommend going here if you are in the downtown Kennesaw area, a great atmosphere and staff make me want to go back to try some of their other menu items.

Perfect. Perfext. Perfect. I think it was Carly who attended to us. She had the best recommendations. The chargrilled oysters were good, but the sauces were amazing! The fish and chips had a really nice crunch and good flavor, and the rigatoni pasta had a really beautiful, yet not too rich cream sauce. Finished it off with a warm, rich brownie with ice cream and salted caramel sauce. Delicious! Cant wait to go back!

Just had one of the best meals Ive had in a long time, because the chef accommodated my request! I got the chicken schnitzel, and instead of the mushroom cream sauce, they let me substitute with the beer cheese...so very delicious, with a side of horseradish!!

Today we had discovered a new place (for us... And we were very pleasantly surprised! Our expectations were pleasantly met. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were just excellent!100% recommended oysters, exquisite.Miranda takes our warmest greetings and recommendations ... she knows the menu, she knows how to recommend, she is sweet and her service is excellent.We had a very nice time at Bernies.

Great food, super nice staff!! The waitress was very accommodating!! I had the Pad Thai and my husband had fish in a curry sauce. The pierogi was fabulous!! I gave a four because the atmosphere is a bit confusing. It’s like they tried to smash together upscale, casual, and barn together. Some of the lighting is blinding. The art is great upstairs! I say definitely do take out here cause the food is great...if you want a full experience, I know some better restaurants.

First visit impressions: Staff is super friendly and helpful, all safety measures in place and being followed, the food (had fish and chips, the batter light the fish well prepared, flakey and so tastywas amazing and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this for your next dinning experience.

I came here for lunch for the first time and it was exceptional. The calamari was some of the best I have had in a long time. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and was very pleased. The chicken was moist and tender and very flavorful. The onion rings were huge and had a great flavor. I will definitely be back and will tell others about it. I highly recommend coming here and giving it a try.

This was our first time in Bernies and it was awesome food and drinks were amazing and Zoe our waitress did an excellent job explain us the menu and making sure we were good. We definitely will go back soon.

Priced well, nice, new and clean. Most important the food taste completely amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Weve been to Bernies a few times and have tried something different each time. We have NOT disappointed with the food, drinks, service, atmosphere, etc. Its one of our new faves for a date night. Macy served us the first time we visited and when we came back the next time she remembered us and came to check on us even though she wasnt able to serve our table!

Stopped here for late Saturday afternoon lunch and ad a couple of great cocktails with some really great lump crab fritters. Our sandwiches were all great. Cuban had wonderful moist pulled pork. Prime rib has tender meat with great au jus. My burger was a gourmet take on a Big Mac - it was awesome. We dont usually get dessert but were very tempted by a Lemon Creme Brulee dressed for summer with Blueberry Compote and Vanilla Ice Cream as well as the Brownie a la mode with Salted Caramel. We ordered both and the 3 of us shared! Very Yummy!

What a gem! We stopped here on a Thursday around 3 pm expecting subpar service since the time isn’t ideal for most restaurants. Our server, Macy, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Her drink and food recommendations were spot on. My wife ordered the fish and chips and nothing remained on her plate when we left. My pad Thai was light and full of flavor. Although we live in Smyrna we will definitely make it back to Bernie’s!

Great food! We had a great time here. The food was perfect, the staff friendly. We had a leisurely dinner, I never felt like I was rushed to finish. Dining here was an experience. The Corpse Reviver 2 cocktail was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Great addition to Downtown Kennesaw!

Finally, another good food option in Kennesaw. We’re long time lovers of Trackside (owned by the family that owns Bernie’s). We were excited to try this because Trackside is so good. The menu is definitely more hip and trendy but everything we’ve had here has been great. We had the perogies, chicken wings and the burger tonight - all fantastic. The real reason I keep returning is the service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that make you feel special each time you visit.

I’d really like to give this dinner five stars but sadly cannot. The ambience is a solid five, food is a four, but the service rates one or two at the most.
