Global eats & craft cocktails served in bohemian digs with bar, varied seating & vintage furniture.
Came here for a few drinks to celebrate my supvr retirement. Great ambience & good drinks.
Nice place to have a drink with your friends. It had a good DJ
Great atmosphere!Fancy vibe and good party music.
Came here after work for happy hour. Old fashioned was great. But the apps were fantastic. Loved the brussel sprouts, we ended up ordering extra. The chicken nuggets were a hit, too. Comfortable seating and the staff were attentive and very helpful when we asked about the menu items.
Very racist. We all got kicked out, while getting slurs yelled at us. We were continuing to buy drinks and dancing. We literally did nothing to warrant being kicked out:
Rudest bouncer (guy in leather coatI have ever experienced. Screams for no reason and touches people in inappropriate places to “check”.
Great service and drinks to good music. Def coming back next time Im in the Bay
I love Bergerac. Superb service, drinks, music, food, and their tufted couches really tie the room together.
Underrated cocktail lounge. Classy way to pre game if you are going to DNA lounge or one of the other clubs nearby
Was here on a Saturday night. Good food. Awesome music. The place turned almost into a club. Good vibes
Good drinks and Brussels sprouts! Could use more food options though because my friends and I liked the vibe, but were hungry and had to eat elsewhere.
I hear the way the management talks to his employees..not real professional,in fact I almost said something. If it was wasnt for that incident its a Great place to have a drink and eat.
My favorite bar in SF, nicely decorated place with good drinks at decent prices, music can be really good as well.
Great DJ and music. Good cocktails. Ample dance floor space.
Great cocktails and music. The ambiance and service arent bad, either.
I wouldve never gone in if it wasnt for an account my company had. But the music was nostalgic and the dri is were good. After about 11pm the place truly gets bumpy. 👍🏾
Just your local cocktail bar. It’s got good vibes and tasty drinks, but it’s not much to write home about. And if you want to order food... it might take a while.
Man, this place has some potential but really drops the ball. Bartender was very friendly, but prices (during happy hour!are ridiculous. $5 for 10 fries, $9 for cocktails. During. Happy. Hour. Two stars just because people were nice.
Good bar, lots of seating and it’s never too too crowded so if you’re upstairs @ Audio you can go downstairs to have a drink for the same price, but it’ll be bigger and there’s a water jug. They play top hits like ‘crazy in love’ by Beyoncé caught my attention.
Best place in San Francisco to meet new people. Easy to talk crowd, hot girls, live DJ spinning deep house records. Free entry. No brainer!
Best on weekend nights to dance a bit to top 40 hip hop before turning up to Audio EDM. Weeknights are perfect for a large party to takeover the ample, plush couch space. Keep in mind checks may only be split evenly among a limited number of cards with tip automatically included for large parties.
a bit more fun than audio. The drinks are classy, the vibe is chill, the DJs are usually rad. If you go to audio for a show, dont forget to wander downstairs
Ahhh so nice I came twice. I mean I visited twice in one night. I went there for a quick bite and drink before a show at slims. The food was stellar. The atmosphere was amazing, and the bartenders know their products! Really really loved the atmosphere. Had to go back after the show for another nice cocktail after the mediocre one I forced myself to have at the show in order to fit in with the SF normies. Upon my return the atmosphere had changed and there was a dj bumping 2pac (or is it Tupac?and other great hip hop classics. I ended up dancing for a bit, and having a totally different good time. All in all it was a great experience. Would totally go back before or after a show when I’m in town again. Thank you for a fun night!
Great atmosphere and cocktails. Love the vintage photos of ladies and the dark lights. Not great for dancing but good first stop of the night. Food was under par. Way too much salt on everything we ordered. Unique menu without the follow through. Would not eat here again but come for drinks only.
Excellent place for conversation in a group. (As someone who doesnt drink, I cannot comment on the quality of the alcohol.Good food, but for the price, portions are too small. The staff, however, are wonderful, attentive, and friendly.
Good place to hang for a few drinks w friends. Full stock bar. Has lounge seating, high seating. Was there for a friends music performance.. Been there a couple of times before that. Crowd is more in 30s, 40s.
Absolute zero. Douchey people. Way overcrowded. Filthy bathrooms. So many better places in SF to spend your time and money. 1 star is a gift for this pathetic excuse for a club.Do yourself a favor and go to Wish or Great Northern.
It was a cool place with a fantastic DJ c-lektra.She was amazing. It was a place to meet non-white guys mostly but handsome and fun. Drink was so good. I will come back to this place again. Its now one of my favorite bars in sf
Decent bar with OK drinks. This is attached to AudioSF so it gets a similar crowd, but not as much EDM.Bar gets very crowded and there is very limited space here, good place to end up after 2-3 other places, but not a place to meetup and have a conversation/catch up.Service is slow here, but friendly and drinks are expensive for the quality.Ambiance 6/10. Service 6/10.
Nice cocktail bar with good bar tenders, and limited but also good beers on tap. They have an upscale bar food menu. It has comfortable seating and spaces for medium-sized groups earlier. It gets busy later with a usually house/pop DJ and a small dance floor. Its one of my favorite places to pre-party and maybe stay late.
Great cocktails Awsome service dope beats
Went here at night to grab drinks and dance. DJ was awesome and the drinks were both good and reasonably priced. My only gripe was that its a hot sauna in there!!
The cocktails were good and the server too. Then another server came to us. That looked like a little drunk. After 10pm some people sat at the side of the table that we reserved. We asked the hostess and the people moved. But some of them got angry and attacked us verbally. The security came and tried to settle down. That helped. I think the hostess and security should prevent such things. And the security asked us for ID when we stepped out to smoke in front of his eyes. Very short memory or just wanted to feel he rules
My drink here was surprisingly tasty! The atmosphere was a bit strange on a mid week night. Rap and hip hop blasted on the speakers of this interesting looking bar. The only other patrons of the bar seemed to be a group of the bartenders friends. The TV seemed tuned to some sort of very softcore porn. Not my scene but certainly someone elses.
Cute little cocktail bar. Friendly bartenders, yummy bites (oysters, deviled eggs, fries, chicken tenders...), casual but cozy ambiance.Local tip: check out their two-fer Tuesdays for a BOGO deal.
Great music. The guy who greeted us on the door was the best part of the evening, really polite and helpful! The waitress was inexperienced and got our drinks order wrong and pretty much walked away when we tried to explain the situation.
Free, cozy, lots of seating, quick line to enter. 4 stars only, as I had issues with one of the bartenders: I clearly ordered a "bottle of wine with 4 glasses", but was charged "4 glass of wine" (same thing but costs more), and he was not even considering to correct his mistake, when I pointed it out.
Delicious food, with very imaginative drinks. They even make many of their own tinctures and infusions. Many of their drinks actually paint a picture or set a scene in my mind when I drink them. A bit pricy, but you get what you pay for.
Excellent. Walked in last night with my date, immediately seated even though the place was slammed. Service was friendly and very prompt. The cocktails were exceptional; balanced and mixed perfectly. 10/10, will return.
Received the bar bill inflated by 80%, the polite inquiry was met with patronizing and insults, from what turned out to be their bar manager. Got clearly explained that their core competency are Cape Cods and Cuba Libres, as far as cocktails go.
Came here for drinks before heading up to Audio for a birthday party. Not sure how good their crafted drinks are because I either took shots or had whiskey on the rocks. However, I love the atmosphere. It had an nice lounge/den feel that was expansive, yet cozy. The couches and tables made you feel at home and comfortable, as opposed the modern chic of other lounges. It was raining outside, and it felt nice to be in there, almost like you can grab a latte from the bar, but the whiskey was just fine. A wide selection at that.I would definitely come here to hangout and try some of their food.
Grumpy and Cocky! My first night out in the otherwise friendly Soma area of San Francisco. Myself and friends were served by a miserable bearded guy followed by his cocky waistcoated counterpart. Despite our friendly approach and tipping we were astounded by the poor manners. I might add I did speak to other staff members who were very polite but these two guys were awful. When I complained to the manager she said they had a rough night with a lot of customers with poor English which I thought would be normal for any bar man in a touristy town. I felt sorry for other staff members who were warm and friendly but obviously cocky and grumpy run the place and the manager seems to think that kind of behaviour can be excused. The place itself looked nice. Nice decor. everyone was complaining that the DJ was too loud though.Poor first experience.
I thought the decor and ambiance were quite enjoyable. I didnt like was how loud it was; the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. While the drink menu was substantial I would have appreciated a larger beer selection.
The sofas are spaced out a bit too far, so that there is a bit too much room to talk across the coffee table, as it is slightly noisy on a Friday night. Our group of six moved to one of the tables halfway through so that we could hear each other. However, the staff is accommodating and their drinks are good. With Butter and DNA lounge right next door, this is a perfect classy start to an admittedly less classy evening.
My biggest problem with this place is it can be very crowded. My friend had a birthday here and I had to wait outside for a half hour because of confusion over that (eventually snuck in with a different group), and there was a huge line for a different club blocking the door (and my guess would be that happens a lot, as its located between a few clubs). Once inside it was very crowded, and I kept getting shoved or stepped on. On the plus side, the cocktails are good and the shots flow freely, so thats always a plus :).
This is the hottest new spot in SF! Such a fantastic, classy ambiance. I had so much fun! The crowd is upscale, the music is amazing. Its not that typical radio crap that every other bar is SF plays. People dance, the staff is friendly & there is a line outside the door that goes down the street. My advice is get there early. It is definitely worth the wait though. Thanks Bergerac for bringing something cool & unique to my city. Finally!!!
Great cocktails. I really like the Unforgiven which mixes mezcal, Old Tom gin and tobacco in a really interesting way thats unexpectedly smooth. The decor is very chill and relaxed but once it fills up theres a nice energy to the place. Must go back to get their Manhattan with hand-carved ice.
Here for their soft opening. Cute decor with ample space and seating. Have tried some of their small plates like the Parmesan popcorn, wings, lamb meatballs, and pork belly on this small lettuce(?leaf, all of which have been DELICIOUS! Red medicine and midnight hour cocktails are also great. Cant wait to see their full food and cocktail menus. Great addition to the area and will keep coming back for more!
Great place for drinks with fun names. You wont be disappointed with the cocktail selection. I went with the Dirty Work and loved it. Usual cocktail bar prices, approx. $11+ per drink.Food is only okay. We came here for dinner, but found only bar bites at $8-12 per plate. The truffle fries were awesome, but how much effort does it really take to put truffle salt on some fries?? The Bergerac Egg was terrible. Imagine hard boiling an egg for about 2 hours. The result is a yolk devoid of flavor and a white thats extremely rubbery.Crowd is older. Lots of cougars.
Having head that they have a good cocktail menu, I walked into Bergerac around 10:30PM Tuesday night. I was greeted by bunches of Chesterfield-esque leather couches, warm lighting and friendly bartenders.I looked at the cocktail menu and saw something I didnt expect: Interesting-sounding bar bites. I ordered a "Live and Let Die" cocktail and my companion a "Juliet and Romeo." Both cocktails were inventive and showed thoughtful craftsmanship. The food menu was tempting enough that we had to try some of the food, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the bars take on Scotch Eggs (black pudding and "freezer-cured" eggs in this caseand an order of slow-cooked duck tacos. Both were delicious. It was the best Scotch Egg I have ever had and the fattiness of the egg really hit the spot in my alcohol-washed stomach. The duck tacos had serious flavor in their sauce, and were accompanied by hot scallion pancakes and a slaw of fresh, tart vegetables. $9 for 3 sausage-wrapped and fried eggs seemed like a better deal than $15 for 7 duck tacos, but both were very reasonable for their high quality and flavor. And the kitchen was open until about 11:30!We finished the night with a sour beer and chewed the ear of the bartenders, who stayed courteous and attentive throughout--even keeping water glasses full without being asked; A trait so rare in bars that if I judged every one by it, most would fail. The bartenders told us that on weekends, the full cocktail is curtailed by the time the bar gets very busy, and crowds arent my thing but I will be back. Bergerac has far surpassed my expectation of another clubby joint on Folsom street.
