Bennigan's Grill & Tavern in Nicosia

The food was good but the service could have been better. Our server was very nice but we hardly saw them and when we did, very fast interactions. Menu is also much smaller now due to the pandemic. Recommend but cautiously.

Have gone to eat dinner a few time and have enjoyed it. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about what was on the food menu and cocktail menu.

Food is great, servers not so much. I ate dinner and lunch at this store. Once at a table, once at the bar. Both times the server was surly, rude and disinterested and actually ignored customers. Different servers, same attitude. Unbelievable.

For breakfast. We waited to be seated. But the only person working there that day. Nice and trying to do her best. And did. Gave me and my wife two for one on the buffet. Went there for dinner. Food was excellent. But maybe its just under staffed cause waited to long for everything.

We dined in for breakfast as it was attached to our hotel. I have to say that Beverley is an amazing waitress. She was the only one there with many tables. She had such a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and was very polite. She kept it running. Thank you Beverley, youre amazing.

We had a party of 10. The waiter was excellent. He was attentive to our iced tea s staying full. The ribs were excellent!

Very thankful that Bennigan’s remain in the Des Moines metro area after seeing so many close across the U.S. over the last several years. Food is always great and service is a 10 every time we visit. I do get a kick out of their music playlist once in awhile, somebody likes themselves some oldies on occasion 😜.

GREAT food and atmosphere. The staff, including our waitress, Amy, was top-notch and very attentive. The manager greeted us and seated us, and checked on us after we ordered. Would definitely recommend Bennigans!

Monte crisco was wonderful and lightly battered (sometimes they can be heavyfries are thick and yummy. And I’m so happy that they have Coke Zero

Had my first dining experience there last night, the place was busy the wait staff was workin itlike business as usual. Our server was also bartending getting drinks for the other servers and the counter customers, and there were pick up orders to handle as well. I was seated where I could witness all this activity, and I would say the teamwork that was taking place was great.Our dinner was so good. I ordered the appetizer pick three and the Monte Cristo.Our server Alexa did a fantastic job taking care of us and deserves more than a just a good review she gets ten stars all by herself.Thank you, well definitely be back!

OK. You dont come across Bennigans very often. Attached to a hotel but the food is very good, reasonable selection of beers, and great service from an over worked staff. Go there on a Wednesday during the summer and check out the car show thats put on out front.

Once again…a great lunch. Took my elderly Mom out to one of her favorite places to eat. I hope your management realizes what a gem they have in our server Julie. She recognizes us immediately, and caters so kindly to my Mom. Food and drink was excellent. 5 star service as well. Thank you!!!

Always been a fan of Bennigans. Their Potato soup is the BOMB! My wife had the Strawberry Chicken Salad and really enjoyed the Strawberry Dressing.They recently remodeled the restaurant and it looks really nice and updated. Definitely worth the stop.

Great Place! Ate there three times while attending a PGA Champions Tour event, and staying at the attached Holiday Inn. Great menu (including some nice beers on tap), and comfortable surroundings. Im sure Im not the first person to say that Jordan is an extremely professional associate.

Exactly average, exactly fine. Food was good.There wasnt anything wrong or particularly great. It just was. Our server was cool, she gave us options and asked questions which I appreciate.

Excellent service and great food! Two of us had the salmon, another had an amazing hamburger and another had chicken fingers. The broccoli was awesome as well as the passion fruit sauce.

The food was good. The place was clean and well kept. I must compliment the waitress. She noticed, right away, that my hearing is poor. She spoke up so I didnt have to keep saying "What, Huh". So many people just keep speaking the same sound level without thinking "Maybe this guy cant hear very well". I appreciate the help.

We stopped by Sunday afternoon and it was a packed house. We were greeted and sat right away. We havent been in since the remodel and it was nice to see familiar faces. Our server Chad was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We started with potato skins and cheese sticks, both were delicious. I favored the skins! We decided on crispy chicken wrap and chicken tenders. They have really good chicken tenders and honey mustard. I recommened giving them a try with their excellent food and service. 10/10

Great burgers, and service.We had 3 different burgers and all were perfect. Server was prompt and on top of things. Never an empty glass or need for anything.

I always have fish and chips, but I cant do hot stuff like the jalapeño Cole slaw and tartar sauce. Had regular tartar and substituted garlic mashed potatoes instead. Waitress was so nice and knew her job very well. Was a great quiet and delicious visit.

I tried this Irish restaurant because it was right next to the hotel I was staying. So glad that I did. The food was amazing and the service was even better. I dine in twice. Once for lunch and once for diner. Both times, we had amazing servers. The burger was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. I would definitely dine in again when visiting Des Moein in the future.

I had the Irish whiskey glazed burger, it was delicious. The fries are a bit larger than I thought they should be, but they last a long time and can be reheated if you so choose. Found that to be a wonderful option for customers that order too much food and decide to take them home. My boss had the fish and chips for lunch as well. We both had appetizers, his were onion rings while mine was the buffalo wings. The onion rings were awesome and the buffalo wings were chopped up chicken breast tenders. Its an easy way to cut costs from the business side of things, which if you order boneless chicken wings from a vendor you get chicken breast pieces that were too small to be sold as full tenders. It is quite an effect way to play the market itself. All in all our server was quick with the refills and even quicker with the food itself. Much faster than I expected and though the parking lot looked almost full capacity there was no wait time or line to be seated. All in all a solid place to grab a quick bite for lunch.

I have eaten breakfast here a couple of times while staying at the attached Holiday Inn. The breakfast selection isnt vast, but the omelet I had was good. I have also ordered room service a few times and it has been good. I like the Turkey OToole sandwich (minus the honey mustardand the fish and chips.

Food was good. Had good service. Sat in the bar area and the gal did a good job. She was always on the move but made sure you were taken care of. Wife loves going here and her dish was good too

Amazing food for a chain!! Stopped by on a Friday afternoon, during happy hour. We started off with the half-price Mangia Mozzarella sticks. I got Finn’s Beer-Battered Fish and Chips and the girl got the highly recommended World Famous Monte Crisco. The mozzarella sticks didn’t last long and we had to politely fight over the last one. My Fish and Chips were amazing, a nice crunch on the outside and perfectly prepared. The chips (fries for us American), were also perfectly cooked and delicious. I devoured my food. The girl’s Monte Crisco was also absolutely incredible. My favorite part was the red raspberry dipping sauce. We even asked for some to go!After enjoying such incredible food, we splurged on dessert even though we were stuff. We decided on the Housemade Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce. It was incredible. To make it even better, don’t tell on us please… but we added the raspberry dipping sauce to it. Amazing. Make sure to save room for dessert!

Sat at the bar. Theres USB ports under the bar in case you need to charge your phone. Quick and efficient service. Bartender was also super nice and answered all of my questions about the food and restaurant thoroughly. Definitely not actual Irish fare but it was good bar food.

Our food and service was excellent! The portions are big and the cost is reasonable! I have to do a HUGE shout out to our server Amanda! What a hoot! She had us all laughing and cracking up the whole time we were there! She made the evening extra fun! If I ever need a job I want to work there! The manager was pleasant and another server joined in the fun after Amanda got off work! Great food and great service will bring customers back! Dont stop what youre doing! People need to laugh these days!

UPDATE (2022): Came back after 3 years and I will say every complaint I had, has been remedied. The food, ambiance, and service was great. We will certainly be back!!!Original post (2019): I feel like 3 and a half stars would suit best but its not an option. The broccoli bites are far from the "fresh" title suggests. You cant just slap fresh in front of a word and that makes it fresh. They are obviously frozen and are all the same size/shape. There was rotten mint leaves in my mojito... the burger was delicious and the reason for my 3 stars.

We were in town for the night and thought we would try it. The website looked great and when went in to eat the place was pretty dead. That was surprising for a Saturday night at 7pm. We ordered the Ruben balls, thinking we would try something different. They were AMAZING. Totally different but delicious. We ordered our dinner, I had a basic burger and my S/O had the classic dip. They were good too. I was really surprised this place didn’t have more people in. Their specialty drinks were great as well but when I ordered an off the wall martini, the waitress and bartender came over to make sure I was getting what I wanted, which I thought was great that they cared. The service was not lacking which is refreshing and the food was well deserving of 5 stars. Thanks for a great night!

Clean, updated decor, friendly and attentive staff. The salad was fresh and broccoli seasoned well. The ribs were boiled and not seasoned. The coleslaw was disappointing as well, lacked flavor. Fries were good. There are plenty of TVs to catch up on the latest games.

BENNIGANS has been my favorite restaurant since my very 1st visit in 1987. The Irish pub atmosphere was fun and exciting. The food was excellent! The staff efficient and friendly. I was absolutely devastated when BENNIGANS closed all the Colorado locations.I drove from Topeka Kansas to Des Moines Iowa just to get a Monte Cristo! The sandwich was as delicious as ever though about half the size it use to be. The establishment itself was a HUGE disappointment. BENNIGANS is no longer an Irish pub but rather a restaurant attached to a Holiday Inn Hotel. What a let down!...

This place is amazing had the fish and chips and it was to die for super flakey cod soooooooo amazing! And my waitress Alexa was so awesome!

The waiter was not very pleasant. Rushing us to decide what we wanted to drink and eat. And then I have to wait 35 minutes for my food because they had a lot of to go orders and room service orders to do. So apparently the customers in the restaurant don’t matter and then after waiting I get this! The chicken isn’t even half the size of the bun definitely not worth $11.

Took 10 minutes to get drinks, half of them being waters. The Sheelas Shrimp looks nothing like the menu. Has no hint of any bit of Sriracha. Was never asked how the food was or offered any refills for our group.

Dana at the bar was fantastic. Very excellent service. Its Standard stuff if food is good . Standard bar stuff. It got a good menu and their local specials are very good. Nice happy hour specials as well. This is a good place to come and hang out.
