It’s wedding season and your best friend decides to host his in the capital of Namibia, at the epicentre of summer’s wrath. The cicadas are moaning outside and you find yourself protected, unharmed, almost too comfortable, at The Belevedere. The fancy spot with the fancy name that you will fancy every time you find yourself in Windhoek yearning for boutique hotel vibes packaged by Gabriel’s evergreen smile.

Best place to stay for family, holiday or business.

The Belvedere boutique hotel has big rooms, good security and friendly staf at the reception and at breakfast. The rest of the staff werent too fond of the guests staying, it seemed.They only serve breakfast , however they are very helpful ordering food and making reservations at any desired restaurant.

I was disappointed in how little was included in the room rate. I had to pay for the airport shuttle, shuttle to dinner and back (they recommended not walking for safety reasons), anything in my room fridge I used.The room was small but nice. They did include coffee/tea/sugar cookies for free.They have a couple resident semi-feral cats, but its clear they are sick (mange, difficulty breathing, unhealthy low weight despite being free fed by the office). Lots of scratches from fighting other cats. They made me sad because they are so nice/affectionate but not likely to live long lives.
