Bellita - Restaurant in Bristol, United Kingdom
We ordered takeaway and it was delicious! Would highly recommend
Excellent Chinese restaurant, good atmosphere and service, delicious food, what else you can expect👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Went for the first time with the wife. Food was amazing and the service was good also. Will defo be going back.
I dined in this beautiful restaurant on my own and it was a lovely experience. The staff were warm and welcoming. The manager behind the bar didnt come across so well as he would reprimand the staff in front of customers. I wouldnt mind if it were constructive criticism but he was quite patronising and it was especially distracting as I was sat right by the bar. Aside from that the decor and the music are wonderful. I had the Salt and Pepper prawns to start and they were the best Ive ever had, the perfect level of spice. For my main I had the Kung Pao Tofu which was served too hot for me to eat straight away but once it cooled down it was perfect. They know what theyre doing here and I like that you have the option of both Indian and Chinese cuisine. I would highly recommend!
Amazing food, service, and interesting drinks. Would definitely recommend this place for groups as theres something for everyone. Best Panak Paneer Ive ever tasted and the dim sum were great.
Great Service, great food. Love the dual Chinese and Indian menu. I have to say both not only taste good but also authentic.Give it a whirl, you wont be disappointed.
Incredible food, we were really blown away! Everything on the menu looked amazing, well have to come back again.
great food and big portions. walked in on Saturday lunch time and was fully booked so had to sit outside. pork vindaloo was great
Oh my god, I think I might be in love with this place. I came here tonight for dinner after my GCSE results and I’m definitely coming back! The staff are really nice, the service is great, the food is amazing (though I’ve only ordered from the Chinese side of the menu), I would 100% come here again. Only criticism I have is that they don’t do dessert, but honestly it’s pretty nitpicky in my opinion considering that the food is already so good and so filling you probably won’t even consider it. Easy 9/10 at its worst, and that’s definitely not what I experienced, so I’d give it a 9.5/10 instead :)
Wish I could give it 6 stars! Simply the best Indian meal ever. Quite a small venue so probably best to book, although we were a walk in. Friendly helpful staff. Chinese dishes are available but we choose Indian. Hearty Fish Pakoras and herby Corriander Chicken Tikka for starters followed by Railway Lamb and Kahmiri Lamb. The lamb dishes didnt skimp on meat or flavour both in rich spicy sauces perfect for mopping up with peschwari naans. All washed down with Bombay Bicycle IPA.
Birthday meal, the food was sensational, staff very attentive. Even gave free Birthday drink. Highly recommend.
Very attentive and friendly staff and very flavourful food. Chicken so tender we struggled to tell the chicken and fish apart. Overall a fantastic dining experience. Will definitely be back.
Have ordered take out a few times now. Delicious Indian- Chinese food.
Quite a discovery. A restaurant that does both authentic Indian and Chinese food. They have two head chefs who each cook the food they grew up with in their original homelands. The waiting staff are exceptionally friendly, especially the enthusiastic manager who has an ambition to stock a whiskey from every whiskey-producing country in the world! The quality of the food was also quite a discovery: genuinely homemade from scratch and tasting amazing. The place has a very contemporary vibe with upbeat music, jolly decor and a lively atmosphere. It doesnt pretend to be in India or China. It is very Bristol, and very Cotham Hill.
Great curry, prompt and friendly service reasonably priced. Overall great first impression, would definitely visit again. 2nd visit was excellent also and grateful I could get a table at such short notice! Simply delicious and consistent. 👌
Tasty food and good service. Would go again. If you like buying art on impulse be aware some of the decor is for sale.
Excellent food and best service by all staff members , I will definitely recommend this place to everyone, only disappointed with the Background music in the Reastaurent
Lovely place for Sunday birthday lunch So many lovely dishes to choose from. Manchurian cauliflower everyones favourite. Lovely staff. Thank you.
Chinese food was ok, Indian food was ok, drinks were warm. Service by one of the waitresses was wonderful, super friendly, rest were ok. First and last time for us I think.
Lovely little restaurant serving Indian and Chinese cuisine - with a deceptively varied menu. Nice ambiance, good food and lovely service.
Absolutely delicious food all round (and we ordered alot!). Excellent service too, everyone who served us was lovely.
Had an amazing dinner - the food was delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely go again!
Food is fresh and very tasty, delivery quick and cheerful. Excellent all round!
Ab Fab!!! Nothing to say negitive about the food, hospitality or wine. 10/10!!!We tried the red sparkling wine. Which was delicious and local. The food was the best of both cuisines. Youll not be disappointed. The staff were so welcoming and funny. Thank you.
Amazing food, services and ambience. If you are looking for Indian style Chinese this is your place.. Every thing we ordered was delicious and very well presented. Very reasonably priced and great location.
My friend and I have been coming here once a month for the last year. I would probably visit just for the cocktails, which are on a seasonally-changing rotation and are always the perfect balance of inventive and delicious. However, the food and service deserve their own notable mention. Ed and his team welcome us every month and it feels like a home away from home. They even once helped me out on a less-than-successful date.Cannot recommend more if you like:- good food- good booze- good vibes
Unlike most Bristol restaurants which make up for the poor quality of the ingredients and cooking by adding quantity, this one remains very affordable with the right portion size and some of the best cuisine in Bristol. And good quality chicken, something i find very rare but makes a world of difference. Tried a bunch of their indian food and it was all delicious, rivalling Mint Room (the only other good Indian I know of but which is like 5 times more expensive). Heres to hoping they stay in business long enough for me to try their every dish :Didn´t see enough photos of the biryani on here (havent got one either but I highly recommend it!)
I have been there two times over the last week. The place is really nice, food delicious and lovely waiting staff - special thanks to super cute waitress of contagious smile who took my order today - you put a smile on my face for the rest of the day ☺️
Was sceptical about this place when I heard it was Indian & Chinese food (been to a few that don’t workbut this place was DELICIOUS! The food was beautifully presented and each dish was packed with its own incredible flavours. We had the Hong Kong chicken to start and the chilli paneer which were our favourite out of the whole bunch. The prawn main dish and kung pao tofu were also really good. The service was fast and the staff were friendly, they were really knowledgable on the dishes as well as the drinks. I had the rock salt margarita which was also really good, interesting to look at too!
Went there on recommendation of friends and so glad I did. We only sampled the Chinese side of the menu but everything was delicious well cooked and well presented. Star of the show was the cauliflower manchurian which was Devine. Will be going back to try the rest. Fantastic all round thanks for a delicious evening
Stupendously good food. Our first visit will not be out last. We sampled many dish and they were outstanding. Highly recommended
Would give it more stars, but rice doesn’t come with the main course! You need to order the rice separately, which is crafty! In my opinion rice needs to be added! Someone I know ended up paying through the nose, because of the rice problem! Please do better, money isn’t easy to get!
The foods are tasty but the containers were mainly filled by sauce... a bit expensive for what it is. The takeout menu is not so great so I guess its better to eat in here.
Incredible food, and that was just as a takeaway! Everything was cooked to perfection, so tasty and full of flavour! Came within 35 minutes, surprising as we ordered a lot! Definitely going to go to the actual restaurant and try some of those Asian cocktails! Highly recommend the Cauliflower Manchurian , so so good.
Decided to have dinner here after walking past and seeing the raving reviews and fortunately managed to get a table for 4 without a booking. We did not have any Chinese food apart from the ‘Dim Sum’- it was alright. Though a better name for it would be ‘dumplings’ since there is only one ‘type’ with 3 filling options. ‘Dim sum’ isn’t a dish, it is a collective meal of small plates of different types of dumplings and buns. Though I do hope they try to expand their range of dumplings because I think there is much potential there. As for the Indian food it was definitely very tasty. I personally had the palak paner and the coriander chicken tikka. The palak paneer was delicious and exactly what it was supposed to be. The chicken tikka was just a tad too charred for my liking- see picture. Had the chili cheese naan as well. Couldn’t really taste any cheese but had a nice spice kick.Overall great service and an enjoyable meal.
We had a lovely dinner for two. The staff were so friendly, we didn’t feel rushed at all or that we had to wait long for our food. Great atmosphere for a Wednesday night, with excellent music playing in the background! The food was fantastic, options to stick to Chinese/Indian western classic dishes or try something different. We would love to come back again.
At first I wasnt sure about their type of fusion. But Im over it now. This evening we ordered takeout, Chinese for the wife, Indian for me. Excellent meals! In particular my three pepper chicken curry was gorgeous. I had wanted jalfrezi but thats not on the fairly modest menu. The chicken wasnt too far off that at all so I was well pleased. Wife also very happy with her tofu thingy and steamed veges.Prices might be a tad up from the usual curry house but nothing significant. We particularly liked the takeaway containers. I think theyre recyclable and are pleasant enough to eat out of. None of the tin foil trays or cheap cardboard boxes used here!So really nothing to fault. Highly recommended, especially if you and her indoors cant agree on which style of Asian cuisine you fancy.
A gem on Cotham Hill - everything, from the food, drinks & service, are absolutely top drawer. Rocksalt somehow offers Chinese & Indian food that bests most restaurants which specialise in one. The drinks menu is special, top quality cocktails and the staff are so knowledgeable about all offerings. Super friendly front of house, great atmosphere and a must-visit
This is my favourite restaurant in Bristol! Look no further for delicious Indo-Chinese dishes. I used to order a lot from this place before I finally had the chance to dine-in recently. The restaurant is a small and cozy place, with candles and the staff making the whole experience warm and welcoming. Vegetable fried rice and Chilli Chicken is my go to combo. Absolute killers. Hong Kong Chicken Tikka was as perfect as it can get. A well tailored cocktail menu and functional serving dishes - they go very well with the amazing food. Request the chef to spice it up and you will have the authentic Indo-Chinese punch in the dishes.Although the staff were attentive to our requests and needs, there is still room for improvement in the customer service area, but nothing critical. From loads of takeaways and dining-in a couple of times, heres the food that I recommend from this place:Starters: Spring Rolls, Chilli Chicken, Cauliflower Manchurian, Dim Sum, Hong Kong Chicken TikkaMains: Lamb Raan, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Vegetable Noodles, Murg Butter Masala.
Best Indian/Chinese in Bristol!Food is superb, both in the restaurant and takeaway. What sets this place apart is the service - staff are always so friendly and kind. 100% recommend!
How have I not been to this place before! Fantastic restaurant on Cotham Hill with a relaxed ambiance. Food was excellent and staff friendly. The menu is split down the middle between Chinese and Indian dishes, containing a few classics as well as more adventurous plates from both regions. We didn’t try the cocktails this time, but will certainly be back!
Had a lovely Wednesday evening at Rock Salt. Friendly staff and delicious food. Interesting cocktails. A new favourite…
There were two staff there of which one seems to be the manager. They both look very professional and approachable and provide just the right level of customer service. The food was freshly cooked to order. They were sizzling hot when delivering to the table. I was especially impressed with the variety and quality of the starters more than the main course. They all taste delicious. The dim sum was clearly home made and fresh. Being Chinese myself, I must say the kind of food on the menu are typical ‘Westernised’ take away choices but nevertheless well cooked. For that reason I didn’t choose Chinese main course but the Indian fish curry. It was full of flavour with a kick. However it’s too rich for my liking and it filled me up quickly. I only ate the fish and left the juice there. I took away one star because it’s bit pricey. For a family of 3 with 50% off food our bill still comes to nearly £50 with not many drinks. I’d visit again only with a discount.
This place is amazing!!! The food? Delicious. Atmosphere? Superb. Staff? The best! We were lucky enough to visit Rock and Salt on a Sunday evening and we could not be happier. Every single dish we had was amazing. Fresh ingredients, full of flavour and aromas, the meat was tender and the best quality. The signature dishes (dim sum and the rock and salt specialswere to die for.I cannot recall when it was the last time I had such nice Chinese and Indian cuisine. Will definitely come back soon!
Incredible experience, food was meticulously thought out and plates were beautifully presented, absolutely jam packed with flavour and freshness. The new cocktail menu went down a treat, far from an after thought, really interesting twists on some classics, our favourite was the lychee & rose Gibson!Attention to the details were made throughout, and it really shines through.Service matched the standard of the menu, thank you to the rock salt team for making our evening a memorable one ❤️
The food was speedy, well presented and absolutely delicious! Just as delicious as the cocktails, which they apparently make and infuse all of their own booze for, so thats super cool. Staff were attentive and all knew their stuff. Very busy and hot Friday night for them but not once did I feel ignored and the atmosphere stayed relaxed and happy. Made my date night very special so thank you very much! The prices werent crazy expensive for the location and quality either which is huge bonus.
This place is amazing. Just go. Cocktails are spectacular. Food exquisite. Wish we had time on our trip to go again. Ben was fantastic and explained the menu thoroughly. Cauliflower Manchurian, pork dumplings and lamb raan highly recommended.
The food was incredible! Offers the perfect selection of Chinese and Indian dishes that were cooked so well ~ I thoroughly recommend the lamb with cardomon and bay, and the chilli naan is the perfect accompaniment. Well attended by the staff which were so friendly and welcoming, very much looking forward to go again.
AMAZING! The food was incredible, so flavourful and well made. Cocktails are original, delicious and all so well priced. Service was absolutely 10/10. We had Ben look after us and it really did make the whole experience 5*. Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu. Absolutely recommend!!
Love this restaurant so much. It is so much more than a normal ‘curry house’! The food is really exceptional with so many different and interesting options. Totally love the cauliflower Mancunian! Best starter I’ve had for ages. The staff are all super lovely, very professional and are obviously really care if the customers have a great experience. The new deco is very cool, can’t wait for inside to be open again. Highly recommend.
