Suited the purpose, found it cold and the condensation was quite bad. Nevertheless, Bella Vista chain motels are well priced.

Nice clean unit with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good range of shops nearby. Love the friendly cat that greeted me on arrival!

Ideal for our single overnight. Room was a little cramped, but that was fine for our one night. Easy check-in and check out. Good on-site parking. Warm room and ample bathroom space. Location was perfect.

Absolute pleasure to meet with Nick & Nancey during our stay in Oamaru!! The motel is close to the centre of town with everything we wanted to go see nearby. Super clean and amazing service we have come to expect from the Bella Vista brand.

2 weeks in to a months stay (working). I am in one of the bigger units with kitchenette attached, which serves my needs. I was able to move the dinning table beside the window to give me more room. The hosts Nick and Nancy are really good and most helpful with anything I need. They also suggested places to eat and things to do. Housekeeping staff do a good job. Bonus is a bath with spa options and free use of a local fitness facility which is close.

On behalf of my elderly parents who recently stayed 3 nights at your establishment. I was shocked and appalled to hear of your unprofessional and disrespectful manner towards my elderly parents when they asked if they could upgrade to a larger unit as they found unit 6 was extremely tiny for their safety requirements.. I understand that no other units were available upon their request, but there was no need to verbally raise your voice and embarrass them and anyone else in the vicinity with your behavior.

Maintenance not up to a reasonable standard for the price paid. Trip hazard on carpet edging.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights, feb 2021, I was totally amazed at the high standard of cleanliness that we walked into, our room was immaculate, the bathroom, our spa bath was to die for. Highly recommend staying here, would like to commend the staff & owners, I cant remember who did our room, high 5 lady. Room 9. Thank you so much, this little town is blessed with beautiful gardens.

Was good location - close to historic town but compact studio is very small, no sink to wash dishes in. Needed to change units as TV didn’t work. Very basic and cramped for the price.

Location is fantastic, walking distance to just about everything, and the hosts are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Loved the water pressure and the bath! Nice to be able to have some room to move in a super ling bed with a toddler included!

As advertised, this place is excellently located within walking distance to the main town centre, local eateries and other amenities. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms and everything was clean and couldnt expect anything more from a place like this with the price. Highly recommended.

Best thing is the jet spa!! Ive never seen one before in my travel experience, not in US, not in Europe. I am so surprised to see one in budget hotels. Fast check in. 30mins from the Waimate wallabies and Moeraki boulders. Mini kitchen with full appliances. Heater in each room. McDonalds is right next door to grab a quick breakfast. Fits perfectly for a busy traveler like me.

Good location, clean and tidy, the thing that lets it down is the wifi, if it works. Pity, because I enjoyed the stay.

We stay here every year. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The units are well maintained, warm and clean.

Staff were friendly. About the only good thing. Paid almost $400 for 2 nights which was fine for us until we saw the room. It was basically a shoe box. WiFi didnt work. Felt claustrophobic and ripped off. We left a day early to go to better accommodation to spend our hobeymoon. #harrypotterunderthestairs

Super clean and tidy rooms, the only motel in town giving Free UNLIMITED wi-fi, free parking. There hot water is on gas too, which mean they will never run out of hot water.

We loved our room at the Bella Vista. This was the first spot we stayed at in New Zealand and it was a lovely little intro to this countrys hospitality. Our room wasnt overly spacious, but it had everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating to our very late arrival and helped call us a taxi when we were heading out.

Stayed for a night in September 2015. Excellent location, very easy to find as it is located on the main street. Not only surrounded by fast food restaurants e.g. KFC, McDonalds and Burger King, petrol station is just next door! The heater was noisy and not really working, room a bit small.

Clean and quiet rooms in a good location to downtown. Good shower with lots of water pressure and hot water. Well stocked clean kitchen. Big plus is their unlimited internet.The down side was it was a bit drafty and we had to run the heat more than usual. There was also quite a bit of light coming through the windows even with all the blinds and curtains drawn. The bed was a bit of a disappointment as was we had a queen size bed but it was two beds put together so it had a very uncomfortable ridge down the center and hard ridges around the edges as well.
