Traditional Italian fare offered in a warm, comfortable setting with a busy vibe and river views.
Very good food and friendly helpful staff. Priced well for the quality of food.
Went for a work lunch. Was affordable, and good quality. There was no issues, but it wasnt anything that wowed me.
Overall a good dining experience,. Staff attentive, varied menu and food was very tasty! We ordered mushrooms and goat cheese starters. Both were well presented and tasty. Only slight issue, we both ordered seafood ravioli with a fresh fresh salad. Both wete delicious but served on cold plates. My meal was hot enough, but my partners was luke warm. He hadnt noticed until we tried eachothers meals that his was quite a bit cooler in temperature! We gave feed back (NOT a complaint as he was hungry and had already eaten the whole plate of foodand they graciously refunded the cost of his main meal. Great customer service. Would return if in the area! Didnt try puddings!
Booked this restaurant for my partners birthday and requested a seat in the outdoor terrace overlooking the water.Unfortunately, the customer service was really poor. The restaurant was full and I have the feeling there were not enough staff available. We were seated for around 20 minutes before we were given any menus and then it took a further 15+ minutes until we spotted someone that we could call to take our order. No one came to our table the entire time we were there, we even had to call them to bring cutlery. The food arrived fairly quickly once ordered, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. It was pretty average, the lasagne seemed to be heated up and the pasta was bland. We expected more flavour from an Italian restaurant.I really wanted it to be good but maybe we just caught the staff on a bad day, as I can see many other positive reviews. Sadly I don’t think we will return as there are far better options around Bristol.
Lovely place and good food. We had pizza, which was too big for one person, really good though. Also, the staff was super nice and pleasant. Will try again.
WOW WOW WOWA must visit if you are in town. A little gem by the river, indoor or outdoor, what a fantastic atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, and the cherry on top goes to the food which was so so delicious! Hats off Bella Vista, and keep up the fantastic food, it was an absolutely delicious experience!
Good honest food, reasonable priced.Service was always there. And busy, full restaurant at 7pm. Says it all.
Very nice food and great atmosphere. Family friendly, polite service. Many thanks!
Great place , hadnt booked no problem , river side seat no problem . Food and service spot on . Great view of river , good for people watching but not over looked by passers by . We had the starter and main deal which was about £13 each , good portion sizes not too big not too small , went away full and happy with our spur of the moment choice .
This is a well located Italian restaurant with an enjoyable menu. All the firm favourites are available and very well cooked and presented. While I have had better, overall, I think this is good value. I certainly recommend Bella Vista
Kind OwnerLovely food and lovely view.Good Food except perhaps the pasta which was sadly nothing specialHowever Pizza, Cured meat, Calamari and bread was all lovely 😊
Food was tasty but my wife was looked up and down by the waitress on entry which made her feel very confused. This was before even asking for a table! Smiles dont cost a thing.
Lovely meal, not one thing I could fault with the food.If you are looking for good, high quality food, Bella vista is the place to go. We enjoyed everything we had, with a lovely view of castle park. They was short staffed and still managed to stay professional and bring food at a respectable time. It’s nice to be able to write a review with no faults 😁
Really lovely lamb shanks. Excellent wine. Staff great - very friendly. As the name suggests - lovely views.
Changed - this place used to make fantastic pizzas and at affordable prices and we were regulars. The ingredients, pizzas themselves and prices all changed. And all who ate it of my group suffered the next day with extreme dehydration? Wont be coming back
Went to this restaurant with my husband last week. Was pleasantly surprised by quality of food on offer. Lovely menu, with great choice and excellent quality. Service was professional but friendly. Very busy, especially on the terrace looking over the water. Beautiful on a lovely sunny evening. Will go again when in Bristol.
Stopped for quick dinner, staff were not that welcoming as I have walked in late and Im was told the kitchen was closing on 30 minutes, which there was plenty of time for me to order before kitchen was closing. I have placed my order of carbonara even before I sat down as I knew what I wanted to eat.The food arrived looking good and it was pipping hot, but at closer look all the meat and mushrooms were just on top and hardly anything at the bottom, which it was deceiving. I have eaten and paid in less than 45 minutes. I wished I have kept my receipt so I could posted on here.
Had beautiful meal in most fabulous setting. Staff faultless despite dealing with incredibly rude people on table next to us. Would highly recommend.
Food and view was nice but the waitress that served us was quite rude and gave us some bad looks. Really bad service and was confirmed by her giving us our change in only 5p coins (I understand it happens but still feel like it was targeted). Also not the best value for money as prices are a bit high. 1 star for bad service
Nice restaurant with lovely view over Castle Park and canal. The food is great too. Lots of choice for vegetarians. Good customer service. Recommended.
Very Rude waitress. Eastern European waitress was the most rude person I’ve encountered at a restaurant.Came here for dinner with family. It started with accidentally ordering two bottles of still water. I asked if she could take back the second one which was unopened. She did, but not before glaring at us as if her soul had left her body. It’s just a mistake. Calm down. She also laughed at me for ordering a large pizza for myself. Maybe she was judging me. Idk.In the end when we had paid she owed us £1.50 in change which she gave in all 5p coins. They were so many coins. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like that. We were genuinely polite. We are never rude to waiters, I honestly don’t know what her problem was.Disgusting attitude from her and we won’t be coming back ever again
Nice food! But I must point out that the waitress who served us today was impatient, as if we owed her millions? I cannot understand.
We noticed this restaurant has very nice terrace among the river and had a dinner. Unfortunately there was no space if you didn’t order table outside. All of our orders were very tasty, specially the desserts. They were mouth watering and very nice.
This gem of a restaurant situated by the river makes you feel like your Venice, shame about the British weather, it doesn’t complete that feeling 😊Decorated with simple yet unique Italian flair, and plenty of seats inside and on the terrace overlooking the river.Thé prices were very reasonable and the staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly.Even though the chef was new the food tasted delicious, the pizza base was cooked to perfection and so tasty, the vegetarian gluten free pasta was the best I tasted and the lasagna was balanced and rich just as it should be.Thank you 💯🙏🏻I highly recommend it and will be dropping by every time I visited Bristol.
Lovely food, lovely staff, we didnt make a booking but they made room for us. Toilets available. Beautiful view of the river Avon, and lovely restaurant aesthetic.
This place is one of our favourites in Bristol. Consistently great food and amazing friendly staff! Food is delicious and authentic traditional Italian cooking! Lovely setting by the river too. Highly recommend if you have never been here.
Went here for a meal and although I had to wait a little while to be noticed (it was fairly busy), the service was decent and I enjoyed my food. I ordered a calzone which I ended up recieving twice - once with vegan cheese. I attempted to eat both (it was that good).
Good location and nicely decorated. Main was really tasty but felt portions are on the smaller side for the price (still worth every penny though). Finishing here, Id give 4.5 stars but tiramisu was one of the worst Ive had. It was pure whipped cream with artificial flavouring hints. Tasted dreadful. Mascarpone was nowhere to be found and sponge fingers not infused with at least slight hint of alcohol. For £8 youd expect a better quality.
Well deserved Surf n Turf after spending 17k steps exploring Bristol today. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli and my daughter ordered carbonara ( not in the photoamd both enjoyed their meals.
Fantastic meals and friendly suff. Lovely surroundings, easy to book. Always welcoming and well looking after.
Delicious food, really beautiful restaurant and right next to all the bars and the riverside. Great original Italian food.
Lovely food and service!Loads of staff but they all seemed to know exactly what was going on - you can tell it runs like a well oiled machine. The restaurant has a friendly, cozy feel and is very comfortable. Before going, I was a little concerned that it might be too pretentious but it wasn’t - there were couples, families and a few large group of friends in the restaurant all enjoying themselves. All our food was very tasty and for the quality, good value for money. Will return again when we’re next in Bristol.
Welcoming and good service in the overall. Very old look alike Italian restaurant. I did not enjoy the food, I had the fillet with a king prawn. The fillet was ok but nothing more, the prawn was quite disappointing.
Fantastic Italian eatery. The service was excellent. The food was beautiful and it had a realky nice atmosphere. Close to car parks.
Amazing scenery. Ravioli with lobster and white sauce: marriage made in heaven. However, the tagliatelle with salmon were below average.
Amazing food, great service. All round brilliant
Ordered pizza takeaway (14 margaritas with 3 toppings). It was pretty average. The pizza has only 2 slices of salami.Nice location.
Lovely service, great value for money with the lunchtime menu and the food was great, would definitely recommend 😁
Unbelievably lovely. I was accommodated easily, attended to quickly but not rushed, the food was superb and authentic. I ate very little because I was unwell, and they made completely certain whether theyd done anything wrong and if I wanted it boxing to take home. Id go back in a heartbeat.
Fantastic food, lovely service, brilliant river side view, can’t complain and definitely will come again
Nice food, reasonable prices, great location! We went there to celebrate casually our anniversary. We enjoyed it and well get be back!
Visited for my birthday and had a lovely evening. The staff were wonderful and made no fuss in moving us when we asked for a table outside by the water. I had the scallop ravioli and my partner had the sirloin steak and both were divine. The tiramisu for puds was the perfect finish. Super fresh and delicious food, lovely setting and great staff! Thanks for an awesome evening!
Very good food we order the speciale Birra Porreti and pizza.Fantastic atmosphere and great staff definitely we will go backGarcías
Amazing food! Excellent location!Very very friendly staff! Its the first time to try Italy food for us so the staff recommended a lot! Every dish is excellent!
Had an excellent meal here food superb as well as the friendly serviceExcellent locationWould highly recommend
The food was mouth-watering and great. Nice ambiance, decent pricing and good service. Will definitely going there again.
Superb value for money! The place looks ordinary inside but the outside terrace is cozy with a nice view and a heater that keeps you warm. The prices are very good. Food is yum, highly recommend lobster ravioli with leeks&prawns sauce! Although we had been waiting for food for an hour, still 5 stars for such a friendly service.
Pizza sizes were incredible!! And the starter mushroom was amazing as well :Staff member were super lovely and the atmosphere was great too :I ordered the anchovy sun-dried tomato pizza and had it for two days since it was so big. I would say it would have been great if there are student discount or if the pizza had more tomato sauce but overall great place :)!
Was a very Food Restaurant! We really liked it.Nice and good Service.Good prices and nice meal!
We found this restaurant tucked beside the river at the fringe of Bristol old town. Google took us here. Three of us ordered a pasta each, breads (with olive oil and balsamic vinegarand a calzone to share. Yes we over ordered but the food we so delicious that we finished them all ! The pasta was light but full flavored. Lasagne were cooked to perfection. The calzone was soft and the sauces/filings had the right flavors. The staffs were also courteous. I would have given 6 stars.
