Bella Cucina in Queenstown

We had the most beautiful fresh Italian meal and really enjoyed the ambiance, it just all felt so authentic. Our waitress was so lovely she was welcoming and professional, the best customer service we have received in a long time which made the overall experience even better. I love it when you are served by a passionate hopso worker, someone who loves to make you feel welcome and shows passion for the food the restaurant is creating. Everything tasted fresh and no complaints about the food whatsoever!

Simply appalling. Just avoid this place. Pompous over-rated and discourteous. ENORMOUS credit card booking fee required to secure a table online. Really??? I dont think so. Plenty of other great places to dine in Queenstown.

If I ask you where you can find a real Italian food. You may say at Italy. 😅but you dont need to go to Italy to eat real Italian food .you can find here at queenstown. Bella cucina. Very good food.

Great atmosphere. Decided to pop in because the lighting and food looked really nice and were lucky enough to get a table. For a weeknight the restaurant was pretty busy so Id recommend booking ahead if you plan on dining in. Enjoyed a woodfired pizza and entrée which were both delicious. Id definitely return here for a nice dinner out the next time Im in Queenstown.

A very cute little place for home cooked style Italian food. Carla was our waitress and she was awesome. She explained they make all their pasta fresh in house and though we didn’t pick them, the pizzas looked great. Thank you for making a very unnecessary fuss of my birthday booking, I loved the card (and the tiramisu omg)!

Cute and cozy restaurant. Lovely service and DELICIOUS food 😍 we did the "Trust the Chef" option and everything was amazing. It was a lovely way to try and different foods we might not normally order! Very happy with our experience and would 100% dine again! 😊

My husband and I walked into Bella Cucina with no reservation and were very lucky to get a table at this very popular restaurant. Bella Cucina has satisfied our pasta craving after a day of skiing. The Pappardelle Beef Ragu and Spaghetti Alle Vongole were cooked to perfection. The texture of the pasta tasted just like what we are when we were in Italy. We did add some chilli oil and cheese to our dishes but overall found them to be simply delicious and flavoursome. The Chargrilled squid was amazing and we both loved it so much that they were gone from the plate in 60 seconds. I enjoyed my Italian soda, while my husband had the wine of the week, which he thought could use a bigger glass. Highly recommend the place if you are after some nice pasta. The portion is not big, so you definitely need to order some entree or dessert if you are hungry.

We were a group of seven. We all had a great time. The decor was very Italian, the service was excellent, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Thank you Bella Cucina, you are truly bela.

A dining experience head and shoulders above others during our trip to Queenstown. With handmade pasta and gnocchi, and a new menu every day, this was a truly gourmet dining experience. I cannot recommend enough!

So romantic! Little candles, Italian music and beautifully set tables, so glad we managed to get a booking! The bruschetta starter was epic and the homemade pasta is a must! We will definitely go back!

Kayleigh was really great in customer service from beginning until the end! Awesome dining experience so far in Queenstown, also adding Thomas and Sarah as well, very good service and so friendly… and the food was superb!!! We chose the “trust the chef” from the menu. Rude staff. Booked a table at 6:30pm, paid for $100 online to secure the booking and there’s a max dining time for 90mins. We went there on time but was told the table wouldn’t be ready for another 15 mins. I told the staff we need to leave at 8pm (as they mentioned in the booking confirmation), the staff said “oh if you can’t wait then you go eat somewhere else). So what is the point booking table and paid $100 deposit?It’s 1 degree c outside so we waited at the reception for our table. The other staff asked us to move around… so did they expect us to wait outside in 1 degree?Rude staff, terrible experience. Be aware that your reservation means nothing as you probably would still wait for your table outside in 1 degree. Won’t recommend at all.

Been a few times and loved every dish - authentic Italian, balanced flavours, perfect portion sizes and lots of delicious things to share (or savour solo).Love that the menu changes as theres always something new to try.Excellent wine pairings/recommendations, and dont forget their aperitif and cocktail menu!Romantic, intimate atmosphere with delicious smells throughout... Youll want to order one of everything.

What an incredible place! The staff were so kind and even left us a little card for our honeymoon and brought us champagne! The food was absolutely amazing! Would highly recommend anyone going to Queenstown to make Bella a priority!

Very ordinary. This has been our favourite restaurant in Queenstown for the 10 years before the pandemic. We couldnt come for the last two years not for lack of trying. It is no longer great value or great food. The food was pretty ordinary. We would usually order a couple of glasses of wine each but at wine starting at $17 a glass we drank water. We were sat at the worst table next to the toilet door despite booking six weeks in advance and the experience was really less than good. We found the menu very limited and we probably wont go back again. Bit of a tourist trap now. Couldnt recommend.

10/10 best Italian in town. Cosy atmosphere. Manager Kayleigh is amazing and offers best service in Queenstown. It’s a no-brainer, book and you won’t regret it.

Lovely ambience and really friendly service. The pizza was excellent, carbonara was okay, didnt have a lot of bacon in it. Make sure you book as we saw a few people turned away at the door.

Beautiful and authentic feel from the interior to the food. It was also my birthday dinner and I was welcomed with a birthday card at the table. Food came so fast and tasted great! We ordered the vegetarian pizza and pasta and beef cheek - highly recommend!

Pizza was good but pasta was sooo salty..and the card machine asked for a tip.It was the first time I saw a machine asking for a tip while living in New Zealand.And as soon as I walked in, A staff asked if I would like to drink sparkling or still water, so I chose still water and it was $10.. I paid for water for the first time while living in New Zealand..

Ive been coming to Bella Cucina for the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. The food and wine are always amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an intimate and authentic experience.

Me and my partner went out for dinner here a few weekends ago while on holiday. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. They went above and beyond when I left my hand bag behind and had to travel back home before the restaurant opened the next day. They went through the hassle of posting it back to me, free of charge! An absolute gem, 10/10 recommend!!

We have a lovely meal at Bella Cucina whenever we’re in Queenstown. The pasta is is delicious. I love the spaghetti with olive oil, chilli and Parmesan cheese. Perfect! My husband had the bolagaise it too was delicious. We had some lovely Italian wine 🍷 and Ana sidewalk table. Highly recommend.

Little cozy restaurant with beautiful decor. We were seated close to the kitchen window. I Can see lots of fresh produce being used. It’s always a good impressions.We had very high expectations for this restaurant as it was recommended by few.My in-laws enjoyed theirs. Mine and my partner’s dishes were bland and lacked in flavour. My pasta wasn’t cooked through. However there were generous amounts of clams in my pasta. I wasn’t sure if that was given to us to compensate for the long wait.The front of house staff noticed our mains were taking too long. She apologise and assured us that our food was coming.She also offered is complimentary dessert on the house that was very nice.

Lovely setting & ambience. Warm and cosy. However our mains were lacking seasoning and depth of flavours. Gnocchi needs improvement especially. I wouldn’t rush back.

Wonderful experience all round! Kayleigh and the team went above and beyond to ensure our evening was a magical one, from beginning to end all staff were attentive and kind. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was romantic and inviting. We really appreciate all of the detail of our evening and it will be something we will continue to cherish! Great ambiance and friendly service. Food has this great Italian taste. We loved it. Only thing to consider, make the pizzas a bit bigger, they could fill the wooden plate they are served on.

Great ambiance but most of the main dishes were lacking flavor. The setting and decor of the restaurant are great, very cozy and charming. The appetizers started well with the garlic pizza and meatballs but the squid wasnt as good. We had high expectations for the main dishes, but of the four dishes ordered, two were completely bland and one just lacked a lot of salt. That said, the beef cheek with polenta was perfect. Recommend the restaurant for a relaxing cozy time.

What a lovely surprise we had last time in Queenstown. This place is real authentic Italian and their pizzas are just awesome. I really wanted to try something else, bit we had no time.Highly recommended

Really enjoyed our dinner at Bella Cucina. Excellent wait staff, nice menu with lots of temping options. I had the calzone, it was amazing and I cant wait to come back and have it again. It is very authentic Italian food, using proper ingredients and a wood fire oven.

Lovely restaurant, great vibe with perfect music to add to the atmosphere.Very impressed and well looked after by our beautiful waitress Emma. She was so warm and friendly from beginning to end. Nothing was a problem, she came across as so genuine and a lovely person.The food was delicious. We had garlic bread, dough balls, carbonara and another pasta dish.All the food was beautiful and I highly recommend this restaurant. 😋

Firstly can i say, the staff here are AMAZING. we are a family of 6 (3 kids and a toddlerand the staff were patient, funny and interactive with our kids. Also very knowledgeable with food/wine pairing. The tables were a wee bit too close for my liking (covid timesbut other than that, the food was fresh, seasoned amazing and well priced. Highly recommend this little restaurant

I was lucky to get to travel Italy before COVID hit and I can happily say that the food here transported me back (didn’t even need to quarantine on the way back). The vibe is amazing as you walk past the wood fired pizza oven on the way in with Italian tunes kissing the walls creating the perfect ambiance. The fact their menu changes daily depending on the produce available shows they do not skimp on quality. I had the dough balls which were something I haven’t seen in an Italian restaurant before but it SHOULD be a staple. Talking of staples, I went for the fettuccine carbonara (excuse my sacrilege with the chili flakesand wowee, talk about a humdinger. The waitress was spectacular which really just rounded off the perfect dining experience. This place is a MUST if you are in QT

Absolutely AMAZING! I love that the menu changes each day and show cases a beautiful selection of local seasonal ingredients. Each meal really highlights the simple flavors of fresh produce, herbs and hand made pasta and dough. This is exceptional quality food, made with love and an authentic Italian touch. I dont normally drink wine with dinner but the selection of wines are a perfect accompaniment to the menu and the staff are helpful when it comes to choosing something if youre not sure. For me, the best part is that you wont get the same meal twice with the menu changing so often so it is a restaurant you can be pleasantly surprised by time and time again.
