This place has awesome thick shakes😍👌. Had the cherry ripe one; very tasty, very thick and filling, nice cookie and great sweet candy. Awesome atmosphere & deco bringing you back to the past with memories, also good sitting, friendly staff and great service, thanks guys😁👌✌️. Excellent .. We just had a milkshake each … Peppermint Eclair & a Mars Bar then we had the waffles as well ❤️💖💕 We always visit when in BH and always enjoy the hospitality of the friendly staff & convivial atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Come every couple years, consistent old style thickshakes. Can buy syrups and cordials to take home. Played a game of pacman, was fun. Spent maybe 40mins here. Plenty of road parking. Friendly staff.

We saw this place on a TV show. Possible pat Callahan or similar. They raved about the moulted milk shakes. Well the place was well presented and clean, however unfortunately we got the worst chocolate milkshake I have ever had. It tasted like a bad coconut shake. The people that worked there also told me that they had numerous complaints saying the same thing. A friend also had a coffee and had to throw it out. Sad to say but I was very disappointed.

Very touristy but a great vibe. I had the cherry ripe malted milk. It was liquid cherry ripe. yumo.

Absolutely loved our lime spider and sarsaparilla spiders. The atmosphere here is great and the museum a trip down memory lane.

Retro little cafe with lots of different flavours of milkshakes to choose from. You can even make your own combination of flavours. We had the traditional vanilla malt milkshake which was amazing and a cherryripe flavour which tasted just like the chocolate bar. They also have a little museum out the back with lots of original memorabilia. Cool place to visit while in Broken Hill.

A total institution!! Australia’s oldest running milkbar. How cool is that! Everything is authentic and immaculately decorated from the 1950’s. A total time warp and good time. Milkshake flavour was a bit too intense for me, but loved the vibe and had an enjoyable visit.

Walk right into the 50s 60sTerrific themed cafe with all the genuine menu items and flavours. Fantastic spiders and milkshakes. The rooms display actual items from cafes and homes of the era. Very interesting and very enjoyable.

One of the oldest places famous for its milkshakes. Unique combinations never heard before … also has cafe which serves brekky & lunch. You can also bring home your most loved flavours. It does preserve a lot of history about Bell’s milk bar in form of its museum and all items on display. A must visit and worth a try on your visit to broken hill… the staff were really friendly.

A cool little retro milk bar serving lots of different milkshake recipes, ice creams and sweets. American diner themed with seating both indoors and out. Very popular and very busy in the area, and theres a great park across the road which is great for taking the shakes or ice creams. Staff were great too, and the ice creams we had were delicious.

Had been on my list for years. So pleased to finally check it out. Great old fashioned milkshake, amazing service. The lady working was warm, friendly and very welcoming. If you find yourself in Broken Hill step back in time at this genuine and fabulous 50s icon.

If you like retro then youll love this place - it seems super popular as there were a huge group of school kids at the park drinking the milkshakes, theres a ton of different and weird flavours with syrups you can purchase, and theres a mini museum you can go in to learn about the history of the place.Ps - malted milkshakes are a bit of an acquired taste, get a small if youre trying them for the first time!

Great milk Bar, only does ice cream and milkshakes so dont expect rolls and sandwiches. Its been open scince the late 1800s and in its current form scince 1928

This is by far the best milk Bar I have ever been to. Authentic delicious creamy flavoursome milkshake - we had the 1950s signature vanilla with nutmeg and it was divine. The decor was maintained from their renovation completed around the 1950s. It was beautifully nostalgic and really got the atmosphere of the town. My hubby and I absolutely loved it there and will recommend it to others!

This place actually serves soy milk which is fantastic news for those who are lactose intolerant like me.We ventured in there as a family and had several drinks. It was so good to be able to introduce the kids to old school milk shakes, showed them the museum and what old TVs looked like and the esky!This place also comes with an old school arcade machine that has pac man on it. Thank you for keeping the history alive for the next generations.

Great trip back in time for us boomers! We loved our visit to Bella, authentic in every sense! And great milk shakes as well! I tried a spider for old time sake! It was delicious just like 1966!

What a blast from the past. If your in Broken Hill then you MUST go to Bells Milk Bar. I had a the best thickshake that I have ever had here. There is so much memorabilia there that ist like stepping back in time.

Super cute place with delicious thickshakes.I recommend ordering a *thickshake* (they are tastier than the milkshakes I thinkand then wandering around the store to see all their different vintage displays.There’s an old-style kitchen and old booths and chairs and decor. Even the bathroom looks just like an old-timey laundry in someone’s 1950’s house.

It is like stepping back to the 50s and 60s with the gum ball machine, malted milks, old fashioned spiders and rocknroll music. Made my wife want to get up and jive. Absolutely loved it. What a memory maker it was to be able to relive the days of your youth even if it is only for a little while.

Love this place. Have been here 3 times and will always pop in when in Broken Hill. Love the sundaes and the history and the mini museum out back is awesome. Well worth the visit.

Old Fashioned Service at its best. Made me a Creaming Soda Milkshake even though it was not a standard milkshake flavour. Plus, I was told it is company policy of I did not like it they would replace it FREE. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and the milkshake and the awesome ambience 10:10 - highly recommend.

Only has toasted sanga and the veritable milkshakes and spider. All syrups are made on the premises. Great 50s atmosphere including the museum..

Fantastic spiders and amazing environment. It feels like a time tunnel. My favorite were the pine and lime, and blue raspberrie spiders.
