Belgo - Belgian Craft Beer Brewery - Gastropub in Tan An, Vietnam
Nice belgium restaurant. I had the lunch set menu and the croque madame was gigantic. Good mussels too
Love the Belgian craft beer choices here and its perfect for big groups! Definitely bringing my squad here for post game drinks. its pretty popular so reserve a table ahead of time!
Nice beer, great food but a bit noisy and the music was also very loud.
Great Belgian beers. As an IPA-head, the only thing missing from their beer selection is a strong-ish Belgian IPA (6-8%), but there is a session IPA available that is highly crushable and does a serviceable job.
Was so good in the past but now their menu is so much smaller (no more vol au ventsand everything more expensive. Why cant restaurants stay good in hcmc?! 😔
Delicious dinner with good friend accompany!
Great beer at supermarkets for a reasonable price. Much better than the disgusting Heart of Darkness which is far more expensive. Belgos packaging is simple with excellent flavor.
Such an amazing food that we ordered. But you guys should reserved if you want to go there on weekends because of crowded people there. Nice atmosphere for you guys to hang out with a group of people or for dating
Been meaning to go here for a couple of years finally stayed at a hotel walking distance. Try their in-house cherry beer. Unbelievable
Worst management and unsafe restaurant.A plate of food from the upper floor fell and landed directly on my head.- the staff where unhelpful and laughing/smirking- the management, took a long time to come out to see if I was ok.Their remedial action was insincere and inadequate.Spoiled my night, my clothes , my phone , my bag. They think covering my meal is sufficient. Demonstrates lack of experience across management also staff. This is a major event, that could have been been a lot worse. Will definitely never come here again, much better restaurants in HCMC and Bia crafts -with less risk of death.
Good for drink with friends.
Terrible experience, every drink I ordered they said don’t have ( ordered 6 different drinks ended up drinking water. The sausages were chewy and rubbery ( we didn’t even take home the leftovers because no one liked the food took 20 to 30 minutes to get the bill, found the staff rude, unprofessional and unorganised. Should have gone to another place
This is the appointment for the young groups, its interesting.
Worst management at a scale of this place in HCM.We made a reservation for two and no one says anything. Then on arrival we are asked to share a table with another couple.Try other places. There are betters in HCM.Beers are not extraordinary.Wine is bad.Food is average.Music is good.Location is good.Considering the poor experience, not recommended.
Great place to hangout with your drinking buddies. Delicious foods, nice atmosphere, and of course, tasty craft beers!!!
Love this place. Have been here so many times. The mussels are excellent. Belgo salads was also a good one. Cold cut í also nice. I love belgo amber so much!!!If you live Belgium beer, and miss Belgium foods, definitely this is where you should visit!
Visited Sunday lunch time.Good place with family. Many kinds of beers.Food is slightly salty but overall taste is OK.slightly expensive but food is not small and belgian fries is coming with overall food.if registered membership, can get discount during lunch time.
Highly recommend if u looking for craft beer with several choice also good food and nice live music... yes, i will come again.
Nice place to have various craft beers and foods.Indoor smoking is allowed and live music in weekend.Need to reserve if you want to seat on the table. It is a bit expansive compared to other bars or restaurants, but it is affordable!!!
Our squad went this restaurant at Sunday night. It was my first time, we ordered set of 4 beers to share together. The alcohol degree was not too high, its easy to get drunk. Be sure to take grab to home ...ahaha. Staffs were so nice, they strictly wore mask during their service. They also checked the temperature before entering inside. Last but not least, the food was mouthwatering.I really love Cherry beer, but I was a bit expensive compared to others place. 🤣
Best place to enjoy food and beer craft. The atmosphere and music are also great.
Nice dish with affordable priceU could get buy one free one beer in Every daySaturday night will have a Jazz music live !
I believe their food is suitable for someone who loves Western flavor, but not for me. Too salty I think. Craft beer is great.
Fantastic experience, beer was great, tried three kinds , Belgo Full Moon, which is brewed once a month on the full moon night due to the increased gravity the water molecules are more sensitive and they absorb more flavours giving it a distinct taste, its a Belgian spiced dark strong ale with ABV10% and IBU 32, so be careful 😉, second one was Belgo Black, it has a distinct coffee and caramel notes, Belgo Eastern Weisse, wheat cloudy beer, much better than Hoegaarden, had them in reverse order, food was delicious, dont know if this is important but it was very important to me, the internet speed was more than 150 Mbps
A very good place.Food: suit my tastePrice: reasonableRecommended02 March 2020The foods are great and the bears are wonderful....I surely will come back.
A must! Simply a must! Just go there and try a 7 beer sampler and then have the beer of your choice, YUM!I liked the Amber and Cherry. Ambiance is good and service is great. Have the clam in butter or prawns in spicy sauce. Excellent and value for money. Waffle dish as desert is delicious! The only place I have ever seen where even the bathrooms have air conditioning. And clean!
UPDATE: I came back after 10 months. Very disappointed with no-smile & indifferent service, noisy space & smoking is allowed inside. I asked for chilli sauce for my onion rings but the girl didnt bring it. No sauce for onion rings is not acceptable. Beer is still good as usual. Food is OK but servic is so ashamed for a good beer brand.-------my 1st review: That No smoking and spacious is what I like. Multiple choices of craft beer at reasonable price. In comparison with Heart of Darkness and Pasteur street, I prefer the beer taste here. Its just simply matches my taste. Food is OK, not my cup of tea. Our table didnt have 🕯️ candle as usual T_T but it was fine. Shall come back.P/s: Trying a way to reduce the noice would be perfect.
A pretty good beer house. The look is great. Beer is so so, maybe not my kind of taste (I ordered the Belgo Royale). I like the fries. And the free postcards (you can take one at the stand near the main door). Waiters and waitresses made us wait a bit too long for ordering, for waiting for food, and even for paying the bill. I would probably come back because of the atmosphere, but its not the beer and the service attitude that impress me.
Truffle fries is a must orderFlank Beef is really good enough (juicy medium)Pair with their IPA u can have a chilling nightBTW their new menu - EEL stew with herb sauce is really good , sorry pals I forgot to take photo for u
Everything is overpriced but quality is very good. Would be lying if said well worth it, but it is about 85% there. Our waitress was a bit slow, we tried to order brunch at 2:50 (it ends at 3and without even checking with chefs she just confusingly stated that it ended. In fact, the cooks were more than willing to serve brunch.
Located in the tranquil Nguyen Van Thu street, this restaurant offers many types of local and Belgian craft beers. The Belgian meat balls were real good. The price is quite high though.
Really cool post industrial space with well crafted Belgian beers, and many other Belgians on tap and in bottle. Chill vibe and American oldies on the speakers. Instead of peanuts, the bar nibble is roasted malt with some chili heat. Do go upstairs for A close look at the motorcycle exploded view, great suave up there too. A ha: I knew there was something else: no TV! Thanks for that 😄
I would say theyre one of the best burgers Ive had in Vietnam. The patty was so flavourful, I had it well done, and it had so many pleasent spices and herbs mixed it. The truffle sauce was fantastic. The caramelized onions perfectly complemented the patty and the veggies were very fresh. Perfect balance. I really enjoyed it. Definitely going back.
Good food! Amazing service..Abviously you pay more all the good stuffs in the world. Service was good except a downside.. they served a free chicken liver thingy and the waiter wanted to take it away as soon as my food arrived. It seems that they are short of such bowls to serve others..not a big deal but just didnt understand what was going on. Good place for happy hour for sure with friends.
As the name suggest, u do get Belgian craft beer along with beer inspired dishes... from beer fries to ‘Bapas’... which is tapas with beer flavour. U have to love flavour of hops a lot...Prices are slightly on the high side but the ambience is good. The Brussels mussels are hugely popular here and even the mussels pot is imported.
Surprisingly Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon has good number of options for Belgian beers if you fancy it. Belgo is a microbrewery that is owned by a Belgian brewer. The house brew that I tasted was their new light variety which was good. But I had wanted to taste the bottled beers from Belgium that evening and of course I was very happy tasting them. The pictures show the different beers that we tasted and felt good with our choice of the place. The food options are good as well, with regular sides available. Vegetarian pasta and onion rings are highly recommended.
Good craft beer with sausage. The only problem is you usually can’t drink too much IPA because of the flavor.
Interesting Belgian craft beer brewery which caters to a relative mid hi group as the cost of food is considerably higher. Nevertheless the quality of the food is good especially the Belgian mussels cooked in white wine butter sauce. The mussels were just cooked and the sauce went very well with bread. The frites were a little dry though. Overall nice place to hangout
Pretty good place for hang out to have a beer and some conversations. There was no actual parking space so I was little worry for my bike. There was no space for 2 when I walked in and the host seem not actively trying to look for it. I saw couple spaces were empty especially on the 2nd floor. We waited for about 5 minutes when I ask if we can sit by the bar, and it was ok. Their beer is good, come in with 4 size, 250ml, 500, 1.4L and 2.5L. We only got a Belgian Blonde, and an Amber. They both very delicious. I like the after taste of the Amber better but the Blonde has a sweet taste and very satisfying after a hot day riding. I got the black burger, the bun is little small and the layers were thick, I enjoy it tho, but the ground beef could get some even distributed seasoning, some part was season very well, other was not. Quick service for food and drink, the bath room is on the 2nd floor and there was no bathroom on the first floor. Overall, very good experience. I would come back for different type of beers in the future.
Great beer and food! Its definitely pricey, but well worth the money if you are feeling deprived of craft beer. Worth the walk from the center of town where the other breweries are. Also, the roasted malts that they serve you as a snack is fantastic!!!!!
Service was great and food was okay. Beer was def perfect. Nice place to hang out with group. But it was too crowded, I couldnt help but almost shouting to talk with friend.
Its craft beer restaurant and bar. The craft beers that they serve is really good and food was also really nice. The interior is excellent. Its very spacy and stylish. The price is kinda expensive. But for the quality, its acceptable of course. And of course staffs speak English here. I really love this place.
Good food and craft beer (only thing that came out fastbut service is lacking and very slow - definitely not someplace for a workday luncheon. The place has decent lunch set of soup, main, and dessert (200k with beer, 160k without). The soup and main were pretty tasty and portion size was good and beers were on point. Despite a good start (everyone got menus), the service was quite slow even for the set lunch orders...in fact we never got to dessert and couldnt even get it to go as they just wouldnt bring it out. Not impressed. Also as an afterthought, being that its burger week, youd assume their was some special on their burgers but it seems they just had fancy burgers (…at nearly 350k-400k a pop and thats before adding in a beer).
So finally I found a brewery that serves good quality craft beer. The place is new and chic and staff are helpful. It is situated in a quiet alley a little far from main action of Saigon and I feel this is a plus.We tried Belgian wit and Belgian blonde and both were good beer . We ordered 1.4 l of each and only regret was not having an actual beer mug for drinking. They should provide actual beer glass or mug rather than whisky glass. Serving of beer from 1.4l glass is also a tricky and that experience can be improved. Beer is priced same as similar craft beer places in HCMC so I will say they are overpriced like others. In food we ordered chicken finger and it was ok. We ordered fish finger and it is worth avoiding. We ordered onion rings and it was top notch. We ordered poutine and it was good.We ordered banana waffle and it was really top notch.. loved itService was a bit slow but not too bad. The guy serving us expressed his apologies while serving us so thats a positive.I regret for most of craft beer places strategy of pricing and target market. If they can get it right then they can attract local crowd however feels like at moment they just care for foreigners which is plane stupidity.
Ordered the hoisin meatball, mussels (white soup stock), grilled squid tapas washed down with a belgium blond to share between 2 persons. Food was good, friendly service. Dishes were served rather fast (weekday night). Interesting place. Will revisit for their other finger food dishes.
Amazing place to find in Saigon. Beers as big as your head if you want them, Craft Beers, US microbrewery restaurant style menu. Pricey for HCMC but normal for US tourists, more like USA prices. IPAs and many high Abv beers to choose from. Cool decor / ambiance.
Very nice place, great decoration, professional service with good food. A place to go if you need to change taste and atmosphere.
Nice place, nice settings, not crowded, not noisy. In fact, its very cozy and good for business gathering with craft beer and healthy food. The staff and service are nice as well. Love the place and would recommend.
If you want Belgian food and beer in Saigon - look no further.Belgo is by far the best provider of both of the above items in this city.A vast selection of Belgian beers, they even have the appropriate glasses that each brand of beer is meant to be poured in.They also have an amazing lunch deal at 145k, which gets you a small beer, salad, entree, dessert. You may be wondering if they pare down their portions for their lunch specials, well fear not! These are full, regular-sized portions, which means this lunch special is killer deal for the price.P.S. They also brew their own beers, which are on tap, and have an awesome burger too!
Ideal and cozy place for a warm night with your group. Quite expensive but worth it. And of course, Belgian beer is the best of them. Almost famous brands are there. Try Bush if you have a chance ;)
