Beffroi de Lille in Haubourdin

The view is cool and a nice experience, but I dont really think it was worth the money...

The belfry of Lille’s city hall is really impressive. Even though it’s not old but rather modern, one can understand why it’s in the UNESCO list. It would be nice if it were opened longer hours.

We got to the tower at 16.50 and the sign said last entry at 17.00 so we thought we were just in time! But the staff wouldn’t let us up. First the reason was that we were too late but then when we said that the sign said 17.00 it was suddenly there were too many people. We think they didn’t want to let us up because it was Friday afternoon. Super disappointed as this was our final day in Lille.

Great view, friendly staff. Need to ring buzzer on door to gain entrance and staff will let you know if there is space to go up if you havent booked.

The Place must include in itinerary when you travel to lille. It feels I was watching paris from top floor of la tour eiffel.

You might have a beautiful view, but you need a reservation and this information is NOT written on their homepage. So we waited for an hour for nothing. A really bad experience - so be sure to pre-book...

The Tower and the rest of the building were closed unfortunately when we visited, which was a shame. However, the architecture is interesting.

Nice views over town, 7.5€ to go up seems a bit much, though.

Great views over the city. If youre fit enough, walk up the steps and you can read about the tower at each landing.You can rent some binoculars for 1 euro.

We got the lift up and walked down. Fantastic views from the top and info about what you are seeing in numerous languages. Definitely worth a visit but do expect that you may have to wait a bit of time to be able to go up.

They really close the doors at 17:00, while they show you everywhere that they close at 17:30.You feel like theyre pulling your leg when you only have one opportunity to see the the top views.

Good views and some good info but possibly a bit overpriced on its own. If it’s part of some tourism bundle you have then certain go for a visit.Once you’ve bought a ticket there you also get a discount for a few other museums. So it can be good value if you plan accordingly.

Well worth the trip up! You get the lift up and can walk down if you like. The views from the top are excellent! And there are toilets on the ticket office level!

Before you can enter you have to ring the bell, and upon entering there is a minor bag check before you are handed a paper slip. The ticket desk is then up several floors.Staff arent very talkative.Tower and city views are nice, but I expected there to be more to see within the tower (and there was no museum or access to the rest of the building).

The Beffroi de Lille is the first thing i visited in Lille. First off, they have an elevator, but they had us go up the stairs, and climbing so many stairs is not that easy. They have some pieces of info on each story, which helps with catching your breath for a couple minutes. The view at the top is wonderful, which i guess makes the experience a little better. Could be worth a visit if you are around.

Good place to start with. You may find some ideas for your following visit in Lille. No difference between climbing the stairs on your own and taking the lift whereas the latter is kindly recommended.

Great place to start a visit of the city. Went there during the week and basically the whole building to myself, but apparently it gets super crowded on weekends so be careful. Interesting explanations on each floors helps to climb up by taking regular breaks

You have to ring on the door to get in!!! Once you walked the first 100 steps you get to decide if you wanna take the elevator or the steps (305 more/total 405). You can learn a lot about the history of Lille and once you reached the top you will get such a good look over Lille! Prices are 7,50€ Regular or 6€ (Students, Children’s etc.)

Wonderful hike to the observation deck, if you choose not to take the elevator. My only disappointment was that you couldnt go any higher in the tower.

Well worth going up here for the views of Lille and the interesting information panels inside. Note: the door stays closed even during opening hours so you need to ring the bell.

Impressive belfry in the center of town.The belfry is quite tall. The square is also quite scenic and lively especially on market day.

Amazing views and great history with audios guides and binoculars available for hire. We thought it was closed on arrival as the door was shut and locked so we nearly left but fortunately another group were leaving and opened the door from the inside just before we left! Apparently you need to ring the doorbell to gain access! Who knew? So pleased we got to climb to the top. Well worth it.
