Nice enough and great service, but I have to be honest... The food was pretty bad.

Very good service. Food was ok. Took ages to get it tho and wasnt even busy lol.

Really quite awful experience. My family and I (5 of usvisited this restaurant for my brothers birthday, pre booking to ensure we got a table. On entering, the place was relatively quiet, with only around 6-8 other patrons. In spite of ordering quite quickly, it took around 45 minutes for our starters to arrive and again for our mains (several of the mains were visible on the collection point for at least 15 minutes but obviously we wanted to wait to eat together so we did not raise this with the restaurant). Most of the food was good, other than a tiny starter (which the waitress commented on and said she had already requested a bigger portionand a pasta dish which was substantially burnt. After finishing the food and asking for the bill, we were in the restaurant for over two hours, which considering how quiet the restaurant was, seemed quite excessive.Subsequent to the visit, the majority of my family and I were unwell with upset stomach’s and vomiting, which considering we are from three separate households and hadn’t eaten food collectively from anywhere else, can only be attributed to this restaurant.The only ‘saving grace’ in the whole experience was the waitress who was friendly, communicative and apologetic considering the delays and took time out to converse with us, even though she was seemingly the only waiter/waitress working.

The food is okay, we went because we had some vouchers for discounts. I wouldnt pay full price as the food quality is not worth it

Grubby and overpriced. Paid £13 for a pretty basic salad, definitely didn’t live up to the explanation of it on menu, with two pieces of halloumi that were thin, burned and like cardboard. Waitress was lovely though. Carpets dirty, table sticky, walls even grubby. Not for me.

Their 3 courses for 11.99 was such good value.Food was freshly cooked, nice and hot and so tasty.The staff were very helpful too

Unfortunately I had a bad meal here, very floury and bitter tasting chicken wings, and soggy, limp fries.They gave me a free beer by way of an apology.

Staff very attentive and couldnt do enough to help.

A relatives anniversary get together in the room to the side of the main dining. The event and waiters were fine. Wine and drinks were quite pleasant, BUT.The meals were absolutely dire. Its the first time in my 70 plus years that Ive ended up leaving the majority of my meal, had I been dining on our own, I would have requested my money back and left, but obviously didnt want to spoil the occasion for the others by making a fuss. Almost all the vegetables on the plate were soggy and rubbery and cool. The quantity and variety of vegetables was extreme too, meaning I had a massive plate full of food at the end. The meat on my plate was edible, thats about all I can say about that. We used to go there many years ago when it was Tarrys, this was our first time as the Turnpike since we moved away some time ago. Certainly wont be returning. If the quality of food is normally like this Im surprised they are still in business.

Another visit to one of our favourite eateries around Northampton. Usual super service, and a menu to entice us back soon.

In the area for training, had breakfast and dinner there for 2 days and all 4 visits didnt disappoint, food was freshly prepared came out quickly. Look forward to more training in the area and my next visit to Turnpike Beefeater

Very good service lovely meal.

Awful experience. Had to wait for an hour for food after ordering and it was not busy. When the food arrived, three of the six meals were wrong and one was burned to a crisp and had to be sent back. The server didnt know the Sunday roasts were supposed to have gravy and didnt know the difference between beef and lamb. There were other diners complaining. We definitely will not be back. Overpriced too.

Absolutely top notch had a really bad patch about a year the last couple of times we they have been they have been spot-on, we popped in Friday unexplained I had an onion allergy ordered my food and the waitress came out and told me my food would be a little as they were cooking separately getting my allergy advise me what was going on when the food come out chips was piping hot chicken was cooked to perfection this team seems to work customer service outstanding the food unbelievable and a wide range on the menu I will be back many thanks

We stayed at Premier Inn Northampton West on a trip south on 4th August 2022 and had breakfast in the adjacent Turnpike Beefeater. We were so well looked after by Kayleigh and Jordan that we decided to stop there for breakfast on our return journey north. Clean, efficient and friendly service and a great, hearty breakfast at a great price - what more could you want?

Breakfast is OK. The space is great and they have a good sized meeting room just off the main eating area. Would be great for local businesses looking for a meeting and food.

Very busy at lunchtime. Food very nice. Service good. Downside, no chocolate for a pudding. So only had 1 item instead of 2 on the lunchtime deal. Refillable free drinks used. Cleaner than last time I visited.

Loved this Beefeater. A bit different than most next to a Premier Inn.Pool table and some big TVs in a large busy bar area, as well as the usual dining area.My only downmark was a lot of the bar tables are quite dark, I like to read a newspaper. Small point to a really nice pub.Great staff.Quick service.Good food.

Great pub. On the Turnpike to Harpole, as the name suggests. Good atmosphere, though not busy when I visited on a Wednesday afternoon.

We were staying at the hotel next door, and went in for a drink, having returned from the meal out. We were greeted by a morose young gentleman who seem to be happy to shut the bar a half hour earlier than advertised. The answer was "no" to everything. So I asked for the manager, as a large group of us were staying next door at the hotel for the Silverstone formula one weekend, which was 3 nights. The manager opened the bar, and took the drinks order. But something went wrong with one of the parties drinks order, but when we asked for a slimline tonic, he begrudgingly opened it, and banged it down on the bar, and walked away. The rest of the experience has been a great one. Especially the young gentleman who was in charge of the Breakfast this morning, with the pony tail. You need to keep this guy. He was brilliant. As was the smiley lady who brought the breakfast over. You guys were brilliant today, but last nights team need to change the attitude just a touch. This is the first of three nights, so lets hope things get better in the evening bar department .

Came here for a roast on Fathers Day and everything was fantastic. Dylan was incredibly friendly - we couldnt have asked for a better server. Had a side of chicken wings and theyre easily some of the best weve ever had. Roast was great - meat was perfectly cooked and big portions. We will definitely be back!

We went for father day. It was very quiet. Yet the service wasnt great. Td my family we werent there so they kept waiting, when we were infact at the table. Got out order wrong, even when it went back to be corrected. Salads were fresh but dry as a bone. Asked for more dressing and this had no taste at all. Aspects of both salads were missing and we had to ask for those. Fish tasted slightly burnt. Ordered more drinks and waited 15 minutes. Asked again and they had no recollection of us ordering them. Waited ages for then to take our desert order. We have been here many times when busy and service has been great. But today was awful. And £13 for a dry basic salad is appalling. Unfortunately wont be rushing back again.

Our party of 8 were very well looked after by efficient and attentive staff.The bar staff were friendly and welcoming and happily gave us the non-alcoholic beer and spirit options when asked before showing us the way to our table.The fillet steak and steak salad were excellent. The lasagne, gammon, beef and ale pie looked great too. Lovely puds too.The childrens meal was a really good size for a hungry 7 year old.Great pub, food and service!

Standard type of menu, but food was nice and grandchildren enjoyed their food from the kids menu. Prices seemed pretty standard, the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.

A lovely birthday celebration made even better by good food, great service & friendly staff. Thank you, we will be back again before too long x

Dined here Monday to Friday for 7 weeks whilst working in the Northampton area. At breakfast times Alex, Arthur, Trish & Shirley always looked after us. Wether it was breakfast time or evening meal, they always had smiles on their faces. Great service, Great food & generous portions also. Very grateful to them and all great assets to the Beefeater Group. Many Thanks.... 👍

Maybe it was just me but I did not get a good vibe from the place. I know I had been there before about 10 years ago and could not remember why I never revisited as I love eating out. Food was really quite average. There was something really off about the place but I cant place a finger on it. On the plus, I was able to use my blue light card discount

Staff were absolutely lovely. Especially our waitress, Tricia. She really made us welcome and feel like we were old friends.The only criticism I would have is that there is only one vegan starter, one vegan main and one vegan dessert. No choice really. Especially as the item I chose was out of stock. 😔Everyone was very accommodating with my Service Dog though, making him very welcome and providing a bowl of water.

We had a voucher for 50% off main meals so we booked a table. We visited and was greeted by the very friendly staff, from the waitress to the barman. Even though it was Saturday evening we had a choice of tables to sit at. Nice choice on the menu and reasonable prices. Myself and wife chose the half roast chicken, but unfortunately they had no stock. So we opted instead for the smothered chicken melt. The food arrived in good time, was hot and tasted very nice. I had cheesecake and my wife had the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert. Prices were very reasonable and even much better with our 50% off mains voucher. I wouldnt hesitate to give it 5 stars, however what let it down was food left on the floor under the tables. Apart from that it was very good. We will be back.

Popped in here to use a voucher I had...Glad I only paid 50%! Really not impressed, service hit & miss, food ok, (steaks werent cooked as requested). Staff ok at best, glad its not my local Beefeater

We had breakfast this morning for a group of 5 adults and 3 children.The service was really good, staff friendly and attentive. We all had cooked breakfast and pastries. Croissants came out lovely and warm.Meal was really good value and kids ate free. Would recommend.

Went to turnpike beefeater in Northamptonshire with Mrs I had a mixed grill the restaurant was spacious and comfortable the mixed grill was very well presented and tasted like gold to my mouth the general manager was very friendly and had a great sense of humour the waiting staff were very attentive to our needs food was served fast another no fuss no bother dining will visit again in the near visit

Was disappointed by this place. The atmosphere was nice and we were able to take the baby and grab some food.However.I ordered chicken and ribs, a large ribs arrived 40mins later (it was a quiet eveningslightly annoying but could not be bothered to complain.While waiting my wife had ordered a hot chocolate which tasted like water, the staff did add more powder when we said.Price wise I would say the menu is overpriced. The food quality was good.. not amazing for the cost. And it is not table service but order at the bar.In Summary it could be nice, but there is a lack of care by the staff and for the price not worth it. Much better places close by.

Great service from Angie, extremely attentive and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great celebration dinner. She was also great with the children. Very enjoyable evening.

I was Staying in The Premier Inn next to this Beefeater. I spent a few hours in the afternnon working and came back for my evening meal. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The directed me to seating where I could plug my laptop in and were very pleasant. They Serve Costa coffee which is good, same as everywhere else that serves it.In the evening it was quite busy but i was still served promptly and politely by the staff and didnt have to wait ling for my meal. Food Served here is the standar Beefeater menu, steaks, grills and burgers as well as a few other British pub staples. Food was of a good standard and a reasonable price.Its a fairly good sized pub with a separate bar area. There is ample parking and wheelchair access.
