Pub-style chain serving up a menu of grilled meats and international favourites such as fajitas.
Food ok, service poor. Wont be visiting again anytime soon.
Chaotic , mediocre food. Dirty tableware not cleared no staff came back to see if we wanted more drinks or sweets.3 star is generous really ...
I will say that I had a 3 star review up until now. I was absolutely wowed by Catherine on the 2nd visit. She was great.
Good food, reasonable prices and a brilliantly fun quiz night
Had a super meal with family Karen our waitress was excellent. Pleasant and helpful.
Sorry I have had to remove 1 star.Have eaten in here for years and have generally always been very happy with the food and service. Had a meal this evening which was fine and staff were very nice but when I arose from my seat, I was very surprised to see what I had been sitting on(please see attached photo). The staff here all work extremely hard, a bit of head office management support /training along with building TLC would not go a miss. Please be aware Beefeater have had some unbeatable deals over the summer months as an example any two main meals for £12, yes thats correct.Update 27/09/2022 Please see last photograph for new house white wine very fruity and quite pleasant. Had a great meal (probably one of the best we have had in the Sir Thomas Wyatt , hopefully if we get a similar experience I will increase the star rating.
Came here for breakfast.. cooked breakfast was very nice.. we all really enjoyed it.. choice on the continental was great from croissants, crumpets to cereals and fruits.. whats even better is kids eat free.. Will definitely be coming back
Visited for breakfast, couldnt eat much of the cooked breakfast as it was eithervunder cooked or over cooked.Sausages are tasteless and tiny, egg snotty, beans cold and hard, black pudding way undercooked, hash browns greasy and soggy. No tomatoes due to being too expensive these days.Continental breakfast was ridiculous.Fruit being bruised, cereal choice a joke.Left feeling sick to be honest and certainly will not return be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Family meal for 5, 3 with dietary requirements. Our waitress was very understanding to this and nothing was to much trouble, she made us feel so welcome and valued. Food took a while but was very good. We will be returning.
As a regular I find the evening meals very good with a good choice and good service too
Are there today. What an absolute shambles. I can honestly say this is the worst place I have eaten at. We waited 1hour between starter and main course. Not an apology, no one came to the table a d explained why it was so long.We paid for bottomless soft drinks, that should make life easy. Nope. After we had finished our first round we were asked if we wanted more, yes please. After 20 mins we asked the waitress where our drinks were. Oh sorry Ill get them. 10 mins later I go to the bar myself and order them.It was a complete joke, we didnt even have dessert for fear of being there till gone 10pm.Not recommended at all
Stick to being a steak house and not a carveryWorst sunday roast everService was brilliant and one of us had a T Bone which was excellent but 3 of us had the sunday roast which was pretty dismal..aunt bessy roast potatoes a definite no no
Lovely Food, amazing espresso martini!only downside looks like it needs a bit of love
Went for dinner as a family of 8. Food was good. Staff were very polite and helpful. Chloe who was our server was rushed off her feet, despite this she was very helpful and still made us feel welcome and made time to chat with us.
Had breakfast here which was very good. Really friendly and nice staff, although your singing was just ok, lol.
Staff are friendly and we enjoyed a hot few hours in the afternoon with a few drinks outside and a catch-up. Bar food was good too.
Went hoping to have a good lunch .1STly the restaurant is dark and dragged. This can easily be overlooked but the service was so poor. Served by a grumpy woman who has a nasty attitude, meal wasn’t made properly and we were just chucked the missing item on the side when reported. Won’t be going back. We we there on 28/07 - from about 2:00pm - 15:10pm
We held my Mums wake here yesterday. Pricing for food was very reasonable. There was so much food & everyone enjoyed it. Staff & chef were very friendly. They ensured everything was ok & the space was lovely. Thank you so much for making the day easy & stress free. Would highly recommend, thank you!
Held a wake here, and were absolutely blown away by attentive service and plenty of food. Staff couldnt have made a difficult time any easier than they did, and were very grateful for their compassionate demeanour.
Fantastic service from friendly professional staff great choice of food and drink lovely atmosphere would recommend it every timeb
Excellent all you can eat breakfast with everything and hot drinks for £9:50. Personal service😃😃
The hotel rooms are always hot in summer months, even when outside temperatures are average or below. Had a fan on and the windows open 24 hours a day, but it was still too warm.
We went to the fields first there was 4 items on the menu we picked the steak and was told that there wasn’t any as they were waiting for a delivery we walked out and went up to your beefeater and had a lovely steak meal there which was first class we would highly recommend itYours Mr & Mrs Moss
Sunday breakfast. Nicely cooked, very tasty. Quite busy but service was prompt. Staff were polite and friendly. Would visit again and recommend.
Delightful place, service good - food lovely, hot, good selection
Lovely little beef eater! Very friendly staff with some lovely food. The decor was very welcoming and the food was lovely!
Food was excellent , but the only thing that let it down was that the service was really slow and it wasnt even busy .
Staff were very nice and always fairly quiet and relaxing hence why we changed from harvester to beefeater, but that was only good points unfortunately on this visit , chef needs to tell the difference between well done and medium rare , egg was so snotty I couldn’t pick it up with fork , was all cooked to much and bland apart from sausages which were lovely. Then found out after I had to pay for peppercorn sauce which I thought was free . They did over free drinks which was nice but declined as already had drinks but at least they offered . Will go back again just in case the chef was on community service or something and was just an off day
Carol was a lovely waitress and very patient allowing our 7 and 4 year old children to order their own meals
Excellent service, very friendly staff, totally accommodating to the needs of our 2 girls who both have disabilities….would highly recommend. Stayed at the Premier Inn next door….absolutely no issues with disabled parking around the back of the building and flat access from there to both hotel and restaurant
Food was excellent, cant fault it. However, blue badge parking bays are at the front of the building while the step free entrance is at the back of the building and not clearly sign posted. Impossible to walk the distance from parking bay to step free entrance. This clearly needs a rethink, the disabled bays should be positioned by the step free entrance and clearly sign posted. Staff and meals cant be faulted though, highly recommend.
Had a lovely Sunday roast dinner service was spot on as usual cld not ask for any more and definitely will be going back for another meal
Really good Sunday lunch, I was very impressed. Loved the swede and carrot mash and the cauliflower cheese and the beef was very tasty. Definitely will be visiting again.
The overall service was very good, the 4 of us enjoyed the look and taste of our chosen meals, the only issue was that the food was tepid at best for 3 of us. I have seen other reviews on here complaining about tepid food. I would definatly eat there again, but I would certainly send my food back next time if its as cold as it was before.
Came here a tried the 2 courses for £10 and was pleasantly surprised after going to another beefeater and having a bad experience. Restaurant was extremely clean both inside and out, friendly staff and our oder came out quickly. Tasty, sizzling hot food for a good price! I will definitely be returning.
Nice place , friendly staff, stayed in the prem inn next door , breakfast was good ,plenty of it . My son liked the ice cream
Only used the bar area.Clean and tidy. The Scottish barman was very polite and a pleasure to talk to. Prices were OK.Only downfall is the broken and uncomfortable seating. Could do with an upgrade with the furniture. Also a shame there is no nice outdoor seating.
Great food. Went for a roast, not too bad.If you like a lot of stuffing on your plate youll be a bit disappointed. Just one golf ball sized ball of stuffing.Other than that, a decent meal.Friendly staff and good drink.
Nice. Cant really add more then that. Day time meal deal was a bargain, had to send the chicken from the curry back as they tasted crunchy 😳....not sure if it was microwaved. Everything is basic, my daughter liked the chicken wings but wasnt crazy on them....Id go back for a pudding and a drink but nothing else wise. Staff were friendly and the restaurant felt cozy (even if windows are old worn wood frame, they feel like theyre open with how much draft came through!Overall nice.
Despite several items of food and drink on the menu being unavailable, the food we did have was good, cooked just right and filling. The service was very good and friendly and the cost wasnt too bad either.
The service was amazing. The staff were so helpful, even though it was busy, they quickly got anything we needed. The food (especially the Sunday Roast!was absolutely delicious, the desserts are the best, and reasonably priced and food & drinks were served promptly. Definitely need to book ahead on a weekend. Very clean and very welcoming.
Overall the food was of good quality but the bread which came with the prawn cocktail was hard and curled up, it was replaced but by a slice straight from the freezer, therefore not a hope in hell on spreading the butter. The red wine was also far too cold for serving. The staff working in front of restaurant were very courteous and accomodating to our needs but I think behind the scenes attention is needed.
1st time having Christmas Dinner out.Karen our waitress was exceptional we were amazed at how busy it was but Karen was attentive and full if smiles. As you would expect not as good as my own home Christmas Dinner but considering the number of covers the kitchen staff had to cater for and table turn around it was a delightful Christmas Dinner and we will return again when possible. Thank you to all the staff who made today a special day
Lovely building, with a good size car park. Disabled access. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. £9.50 for an unlimited cooked breakfast, with continental buffet. Well worth the money, with lots of choice, from juices, tea, coffee, cereal, toast, crumpets, croissants, selection of spreads, fruit, yoghurts etc. To top it off, kids eat free! Family friendly. Will be visiting again.
We were a party of 8 having Sunday roast at Sir Thomas Wyatt. The place is nice, service was great and food was served hot and it was gorgeous. Portions were very generous and we all loved the meal.
food in the evening was really nice and derseves at least a 4. The staff were fantastic esp Joe.Unfortunately the breakfast was a major let down esp for my 11 year old daughter who cant have milk. Having seen the allergen book She wanted scrambled eggs without milk. Didnt think it would be that difficult. I do it at home. How can you expect anyone to eat the eggs that my daughter was served Let alone a child with an intolerance? Disgusting Why was it allowed to leave the kitchen like that?
A pleasant surprise. Good service, fine food and excellent service from our waitress Carol. Very reasonable prices. We will be back.
Went here for a drink and possibly lunch. The place had gone through some renovation recently and was very tidy. We sat in the bar area for around an hour service was very slow. Looking at the menus on our table we decided to have a light lunch of loaded potato skins only to be told they were not serving food in this bar as they were so busy so had to settle on a bag of chrisps. There were not many people in the restaurant or bar areas so we were not impressed
Ordered loaded cheesy beef fries, what arrived was dog food fries...with invisible cheese. The steak was pitiful as well. VERY disappointed. Won’t be coming here again, less than half as good as the Malta Inn.
Well not been hear for a while but wow this is a much better place to dine now. The food was pipping hot which is rare now days with restaurants. Too say we could not fault this Beefeater it has it all great staff lovely menu and really tasty food. Thank you Sir Thomas Wyatt for a great tasty and hot meal. The Mixed grill is amazing.......
