Views of cheese-making plus quick comfort food like mac 'n' cheese in a snug space with eating bar.
I didn’t know mac n cheese could taste this good. It’s so creamy and good and we loved being able to watch the cheese makers make it in house.
One of the most famous restaurant in Seattle for its Mac and cheese and Grilled cheese. We got the flagship sandwich, liked the taste. Try once if you are in the area.
A very interesting place to eat a traditional cheese, very tasty. You can see the cheese making process through the glass walls. There arent many seats, and the lines can be long at times. I tried the grilled cheese sandwich and it was good!!!
Excellent local business with cheese made right there. Lots of cool cheesy menu items. The traditional mac n cheese is the best menu item. It is a bit on the pricey side for some stuff and I wish they had more indoor seating.
My husband and I went there the Tuesday after Labor Day, in the early afternoon, and there’s was no line. We had a small order of the worlds best Mac and cheese and also ordered the tuna melt and the smoked turkey sandwich. First of all, the Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches, were also delicious. The sandwiches come precut in two halves so it was easy to share — we each had a half of each sandwich. We both agreed the tuna melt was better.
Don’t go to Pike Place Market and not stop at this Seattle gem.Probably the best mac n cheese you’ll get in town. The lines can get long on weekends, but it’s worth the wait. The Classic Mac and cheese bowl was enough for an in-between lunch and dinner snack. If you’re feeling fancy, they have a delicious smoked salmon Mac n cheese. There is limited seating inside, but you can watch the cheese making process.A must stop!
How do they maintain their standards!? This place has been more or less the same for the last 7 years. The worlds best Mac and cheese it is for sure. The breadzel is sour, nutty, herby and never dry. If youre going to have something cheesy, this is the place.
The mac and cheese toastie was the best, most salivating cheese toastie youll ever have! You must visit at least here once if youre in Seattle. Expect queues.
Yummy. What else is there to say? Their cheese is so good, so obviously their Mac n cheese is bomb! I try to stop here every time I visit Seattle. In a pinch I go to the one inside SeaTac, but I must have my Beechers Mac n cheese.
Awesome to see how the cheese is made. Also having the ability to order food and try out the cheese was cool. I had the "Flagship Sandwich- Beechers Just Jack, basil, tomatoes & Beechers spread on sour dough.
Loved the atmosphere and the fact that you can see them make the cheese through this windowed area.I ordered the original mac and cheese and the breadtzel. The mac and cheese was very flavorful and creamy but to be honest I didnt think it was anything super special. Next time Ill have to try the smoked salmon or sausage mac and cheese. I also ordered the breadtzel which they toasted up making it nice and crispy on the outside. Overall definitely a place to check out and try if youve never been to it.
Great place to pick up cheese or a snack. The mac n cheese was actually really good (but why is it called mac n cheese when its not macaroni lol). Loved that they had seats along to window of the cheese curd machine and staff. Something cool to watch while you snack on something. My only qualms that knocked it down a star rating are the poor line managment (at least when we went). There was 3 different lines and loads of people just standing around that we had no idea what each was for or where to begin. The drinks were very warm and the seats were somewhat uncomfortable...though I will give them points for keeping true to the asthetic! The above being said, still will recommend for cheese enthusiasts and will definitely return myself.
Fresh and light cheese! Wonderful experience to watch how cheese is made and dine. Mac and cheese and grilled cheese were phenomenonal. There is no comfortable seating but its a part of the whole Pike place experience.
This places reputation precedes itself, but they definitely earned it. Had the Flagship. Big, thick sourdough slices enclose a pleasantly creamy cheese with just the right amount of tang. The tomato and basil being the perfect size and adding a nice contrast. The spread tied everything together. Not greasy, piping hot when I got it, with just the right amount of chew and crunch. Whoever said their sandwiches were too small must have had a different item than I had. Dont think Ive had a better grilled cheese! Really good, and a perfect meal to walk the market with!!
I love local cheese experience. You can see in the window how they make fresh cheese daily. I have eaten beechers cheese in local restaurants meals but I never stop by their location that just few steps away from place where I live. I was always turned down by huge line of tourists but I understand its tourist attraction as everything else at pike market. One time I was passing by in the evening I decided to buy their cheese curds and try their plain cheese. I consider its very expensive but as a one time thing was ok. I really liked marinated pepper cheese curds they have nice sweet paprika taste with spices. I think I will come back to try their cheese sandwich some time in future.
Awesome! Had a grilled cheese, tomato soup and Mac and Cheese cup. It was so fresh and creamy! There is only eight stools to sit so prepare to take it to go. We went across the street and sat on the deck overlooking the water. No restrooms.
Had their signature mac and cheese and it did not disappoint; I ended up finishing the whole cup by myself. It is a cool experience to watch the cheese-making while having the mac and cheese on the bar as well.
Everything about this place was exceptional. I cant say enough about the people, the service, and the food. We stopped by three different times in one day. Everything we tried was better than we could have imagined. Grilled Cheese, Turkey sandwich, mac and cheese... Yum, Yum, Yummy. And you get to see the whole process from start to consumption!
The normal mac n cheese was really good with just a hint of spiciness. The cheese-making process is worth seeing on the inside — theres more than what you can see from this photo 😉
A hidden gem! The grilled cheese and came soda was top tier and so amazing! Loved the vibe and shop itself!
This is the place to go for cheesy dishes. We had a breadzel and grilled cheese. Wow the cheese was really good. The breadzel was very good, just be ready for some spice/heat which I didnt expect. If you dont like spice you may not like it. For the grilled cheese, the cheese was excellent 10/10 but the bread tasted like budget wheat bread from your local grocery store. Some fresh sourdough would make it so much better. The place is very easy to find its in the first building when entering pikes place. Dont go into the sellers market. Beechers has its own brick and mortar on the northeast corner upon entering pikes place market.
Finally decided to give this a try!We had the Smoked Salmon Mac n Cheese and it was yum!! The texture of the Mac n Cheese was more of an Alfredo Pasta, not like a traditional Mac n cheese. The Flagship grilled cheese was OKAY, nothing great. The cheese was good but probably the bread didn’t go well with it. Took away a star coz of this.We went on a weekday and it was not crowded at all. They also have a good collection of packed cheese to take away with you.
Omg 🤩 one of the best grilled sandwich 🥪 I ever had! The "Chicken Mama Lils & Arugula" sandwich was 👌Plus got to taste some of their most amazing cheese. Must visit for all cheese 🧀 lovers 😊
Mariachi Mac and Cheese was legendary. The cheese was rich and the pasta was just soft enough. This combined with the mix of spices they used gave a wonderful experience.Flagship sandwich was also decent, but the focus was mainly on the cheese (as it is a cheese-making place).Must try if youre going around this area.
I have to say, this handmade cheese restaurant is gorgeous!!!! The best grilled cheese sandwich and mac&cheese I had ever tasted! I love the rich flavor with the cheese, but not too heavy! The price are reasonable and the service is great too! All in all, I strongly recommend everyone here go for a visit!
Best mac and cheese! To be honest I don’t like Mac&cheese. I just came here to see their cheese processing. My sister bought the Mac and cheese and I finished almost half. It’s savory and creamy. It’s just delicious. Making cheese looks tough but professional!
I need a Beechers close to home. We tried the cheddar, the cheese curds, and the macaroni and cheese, and they were all exceptional. Even if you are lactose intolerant, it is worth whatever happens in the bathroom after, to try this cheese!!!
Decadent, rich Mac and cheese! It was also fun watching the workers process the cheese curds as we ate our lunch. Worth a stop if you’re in Pike Place
Delicious and cool experience to take in at Pike Place. The grill cheese and tomato soup are tasty but save room for the must try Mac and Cheese! Good for a lunch or a snack - enjoy!
Ive had beechers in the past and it was a 5 star experience. My visit to the pikes place location yielded 2 this time. The cashier was spaced out and was not directing the flow of new customers well. Many people were waiting to order at the "pick up" area and he was not signaling or communicating that he could take a new order. We got the salmon Mac and cheese. I found it disgusting. It was SPICY for some reason, and the salmon tasted like salt water. The herbs they added in tasted soapy. I very much wish we got the original mac. We also got a grilled cheese and I ended up getting three sandwiches handed to me! And then, a different customer told me he had the same name as me and the other two sandwiches belonged to him. The cashier should have known if a previous customer (mehad the same name. Its simple procedure for food restaurants (I know because this happens all the time when I worked at mod pizza). The grilled cheese was good so thats why I decided to give my score two stars instead of one.
Some of the best mac and cheese Ive ever had. Super creamy and flavorful! I didnt expect it to be slightly spicy but it was greatly welcomed. The mac itself was cooked pretty well too. Watching the cheese being made while eating was a pretty cool experience.
Had the grilled cheese and Mac and cheese with sausage absolutely fabulous a must stop if youre hungry at Pikes market. Topped it off with Virgils root beer and it was a great meal.
5/5 Mac and cheese. Perfectly creamy with a mixture of different cheese flavors, each of which you can appreciate! I wish I was hungrier so I could have eaten more of their options, and I wish I was local so I could have taken home some of their goods!
Great place to eat. I tried the tuna melt and thought it was ok, but their Mac n cheese is 10/10. Definitely try their Mac n cheese.
Maybe not the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had, but delicious all the same. And made better by the experience of having them making the cheese right behind the window and that marvelous smell :)I’ll come back for the grilled cheese :D
The mac and cheese is definitely good but this may anger the masses - Ive made/had better. My Daugher enjoyed a kimchi grilled cheese and and I split flagship grilled cheese with the wife. Definitely worth the stop but I wouldnt make it a solo trip... pikes market offers so much ...make sure you grab a ginger beer from Rachels before you get in line. - New Yorkers they also have a shop in the NYC.
For those who like cheese, this is the place. The mac and cheese tastes great. Order a small one by yourself. The Cheese sandwich tastes so good too.
Great mac and cheese, 8oz portion are generous for one person, creamy yet not the cheese make you felt overwhelmed.Eat it while it’s hot and steaming
We picked a great day to come out and it was not too busy at Pike, so there was no line here. The service was quick and the cashier was friendly. I got the famous Mac and cheese and it was delicious ($7.50 for a small). It was creamy and made with penny pasta. The cheese sauce tasted more like a cheese alfredo sauce, but maybe its made with a bechamel so it gives od that saucy vibe. My mac was not hot, it was luke warm at best (thats how you know it was delicious because I still ate it). It came out of a container behind the register and it was not too long after they opened, so Im not sure why it was cold. I also tried the flagship cheese (about $1.50 for the cheese stick), and it is everything you want from a smokey, creamy cheese. There was one person working in the glassed in, cheese making area, and they have seats in front where you could watch while you eat. I would recommend and would return.
They make cheese right in front of you and make delicious sandwiches and mac and cheese to eat. The mac and cheese was pretty creamy and I loved the taste of the cheese. I also got the flagship sandwich (cheese, basil and tomatoand it was super creamy and tasty. It was literally the perfect snack for me.
December 2021: best Mac and cheese ever.... Grill cheese is also amazing. Friendly staff. They also make fresh cheese right in front of your eyes. Id skip the Breadzel unless you really like it.Their cheese curds come in sealed containers for easy transport. Dont wait in line outside if you are purchasing prepackaged items. Walk up to the back counter. Definitely try the flagship cheese to take home.
I tried both original and smoked salmon Mac & Cheese. I will definitely get the original one again, but probably not Salmon one. I am glad I tried both, but Salmon one was too salty and tasted a lot of herbs).
They claim to make the worlds best Mac n Cheese and hands down they do!! Add this place to your must do list and savour the drool worthy Mac dipped in cheesy sauce that beats Italian restaurants. I’ve dropped in all four days I was in Seattle to grab a cup of Mac n cheese from here. Their sandwiches too are extremely good. Grilled Salmon cheese sandwich is also a must try!
A must go when in Seattle. Never disappoints, taste is always great and consistent. Service is fast and it’s always entertaining to watch the team make the cheese across the room. They also have a great selection of items to take home.
this place was YUMMY!! we went all out and got their mac n cheese, grilled cheese, and breadzel. I wasn’t crazy about the breadzel or the wait but still worth it! And I would definitely get the soup or something else to pair with all the cheese :)
Loved the Beecher’s cheese and menu.Firstly, we enjoyed the way we could enjoy and see the cheese making process. We tried mac n cheese and soup , grilled cheese sandwich.Do visit if you are visiting Pikes Place and are craving some good cheesy dishes
Visiting Seattle for the labor day week and this was one of the "must eat" places, so I couldnt skip out.Its been years since I had a food Mac and Cheese, and my oh my this was just heavenly! What a smooth, silky and creamy sauce. And just the PERFECT amount of subtle spiciness. I was beyond impressed with this.Used that spoon to get every last bit of sauce off that bowl.Without a doubt the Worlds BEST Mac and Cheese!
The cheese here is delicious, fresh, and fairly priced. The shop is small so expect a crowd unless you visit outside the weekend. Some bar stool seating is available inside and from those seats you can watch the cheese being made. The best part other than the taste is that you can buy cheese in any size so that you get a chance to sample their products. No matter what you buy, get the mac and cheese because its amazing!
Excellent Mac & Cheese. We ordered the 8 oz size and 16 oz size of Mac & Cheese with Salmon. Also, got a Turkey sandwich. There are just a few stools to sit and eat inside, but we got lucky. You can watch them make cheese while youre eating. Most patrons take their order and eat elsewhere. The line to order went out the door and down the street. I thought we would be in line forever, but it moved quickly.Great friendly staff.
The hype of the place leads to a long line outside and along the side walk. For what? For a couple of unhealthy cheese sandwiches that no one knowing what cheese is about would recommend. But the hype is there folks! So go, make the waiting line, waste your money, expect someone to yell your name from the counter and eat standing because there’s no place to go to eat that.Better save the money a couple of times, eat more decently while seating and enjoying a conversation with someone worth it or make a sandwich yourself at home while watching Netflix.Thank me later.
