Bebo's Café - Puerto Rican restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
So good, authentic local spot with some great flavors and atmosphere. I’ll be back next time I’m in town 🍻🍻
Not knowing the food names, the server was so helpful and informative. She had a lot of patience for my many questions. The food came out quick and was super inexpensive. Definitely try the coffee and the sampler. The portions were big and we ended up taking leftovers back to room to enjoy later that day. Overall great place
Food is soo amazing !! So much flavor too it. The food is made with love ❤️🇵🇷🇵🇷only thing is service is horrible. But its busy so you got to understand .
I am giving this a two star because the breakfast did taste good, but our server took an extremely long time to take our order, then bring us the food and was very rude on getting us the ticket. The waitresses are constantly coming in and out of the kitchen just walking around. The honestly need to get better management and timing in there. Would not return. Slowest breakfast and rudest treatment in San Juan. Sorry but thats the truth.
This is the best restaurant in Puerto Rico. I recommend anyone who come to visit to check it out! The food is very tasty 😋
Im visiting Puerto Rico so I went here a couple days ago with my grandmother. I ordered some fish with garlic sauce, and it was delicious! I also ordered some mozzarella sticks. They were so cheesy and amazing. Finally, I got a vanilla flan. The texture was one of the best textures in flans I have tasted! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal.
Good local place for food but wish they had vegan/vegetarian options available. No vegetarian option for the main course. Some veg appetizers are available.
Absolutely delicious food (pix posted). Looking forward to eating here again.
Just wow! Very nice local food and gets super busy!! The food is price reasonably and also huge serving! Service is great as well even though they were packed. Highly recommend!!
Sooo good! Went here for dinner with my family after arriving on the island. Service was quick and food was cooked fresh even on a busy night! The food was delicious and reminded me of all the food I grew up eating with my grandma. The prices were great as well! We spent around $52 for a family of 5 and plates were big enough to share. We had two full meals, a soup, an appetizer (queso frito was delicious!and 3 bottles of water with 2 bottles of juice. We will be back again to Bebo’s!
This is the best place to eat in PR. Very delicious food, clean place and courteous staff is what I can say. Their dishes are so delicious and so unique that we overate not even realizing that we did. Prices are so competitive you will not find elsewhere. Highly recommend
...this food is so good.. Cafe Con Leche with a Chocolate chip cookie?😁, Avocado stuff with Pollo, Soup, Rice n Beans, Sweet bread w cheese and Yucca stuff w cheese 🙏🙏 yes Lord lol this is breakfast mami land☺️👀👀👀
We went there for lunch. We got mofo go and seafood salad. The mofongo was really good however the seafood although looking good tasted old as rotten fish.It was disgusting. i sent it back and at least we did not pay for it.I would give it another chance because it can happen but maybe not with fish...
Some of the best food Ive had in Puerto Rico hands down and very budget friendly! Will definitely be making my way through the menu on future Puerto Rico trips!
This place was slammed and non stop people comming in. When I tell ya this is a spot to try it is!! It seemed to have tons of locals and tourists and the food was so good!!! The special menu was bilingual but the full menu was all in Spanish. If your not sure what an item is I would open Google and translate it for menu references. This is not a fancy fine dining restaurant and the food may take some time and your drinks but its worth it!!
Ok food but nothing special. The pork on mashed plantain was a bit dry. The lobster empanada had an odd taste. The fried red snapper was decent but very salty. It’s nice that they open late and are quick on turnovers.
A great local restaurant. Big menu, fast service and not touristy. Really enjoyed our meal
The eatery on the island! This local joint is always packed with locals, that’s how you know the food is amazing and the prices are right. The menu is vast with a variety of different authentic Peruvian dishes available. I really enjoyed my meal, I had the T-bone steak - the portion was great and the flavours were on point. The drinks were okay, I recommend sticking to the basic drinks like wine or liquor but not the mixed drinks. The service was slow however you need to remember this spot is busy and they are running on Island time. Overall I am very happy with my experience at Bebo’s and I would recommend it to friends and family when they visit San Juan.
The food was excellent. Really liked the Chicken Mofongo and crispy Tostones. The passion fruit mojito was also prepared well. Everything was presented well. I’m giving 4 star instead of 5 star only because, the waitress who came in the end seemed to be in some urgency and took off my side plates even when they were not finished over. I did not bother and finished quietly. Maybe due to her lack of English knowledge she might have missed to understand what I was saying. Nevertheless this was a small hiccup, overall the Food is Great! Highly recommend this place for authentic Puerto Rican food.
Great authentic food fast. Absolutely Recommend. We were sent here by a hotel staff member after we asked for a recommendation for where the locals like to eat. My husband has a specific dish in mind (something he saw onlineand this place had it. The Pastelon did not disappoint. I tried the fried pork chops with yellow rice and beans. Both amazingly flavorful. No long waits. Friendly staff.
Yum. Plantain mash & garlic chicken, and Yuca balls w cheese.
My my, this has to be one of the best places to eat on the island! I was recommended by local guides to try this place and I was blown away by how delicious the food! The quantities are amazing too! The food was so delicious that we overate and dint even realize that we did! We had roasted pork and that should be one of my best life decisions :. The mofongos was truly delicious and the service is the cherry on the cake! Great work guys, keep up the good work!
A must multiple visit place. locals favorite . huge portions. seafood salad was 5 times as much seafood as most restaurants have on a seafood salad. Conch octopus shrimp. Service was quick and friendly even though the place was extremely busy. manager monitoring all with a friendly smile. Walking distance from our Marriott on the beach.
Great atmosphere, local fare. Not an overpriced tourist place. Try the guava and cheese empanadillas, they’re amazing. Pass on the mofungo, it’s a little oily and there are many better places to get that in San Juan.
After going to Bebo’s, I feel like we’re in on a secret. In the middle of a touristy stretch, we found something easy, delicious, affordable, and local.
The best food I’ve had in Puerto Rico!
Went twice when staying nearby. Food was amazing and portion sizes were filling. Avocado stuffed with rope vieja is my favorite
AWESOME! JUST AWESOME!I was in PR for 4 days.Found this place the 2nd day.Ate here there rest of my stay! The Aguacate Pique was soOo good I purchased 3-bottles from my server! And I dont like ANYTHING spicy!I constantly mention this place and would definitely recommend it to ANYONE.STAFF WAS AMAZING!FOOD WAS AMAZING!THANK YOU!
Amazing food, quick service and fatastic atmosphere.
Good value with large portions. We had some variery of items and all were fine, but not outstanding. Overall, a nice family friendly place for a meal.
We tried pork mofungo, jerk beef stuffed avocado and stew. All was delicious and reasonably priced. The mojito was good too! Atmosphere is a bit loud but fine. Service was good. I would recommend this restaurant.
A lot of reviews here and this is for a reason - really good food with attractive prices including selection of wines under $35 per bottle. Kudos to the owner for food selections & wine pairings. Its very popular not only among tourists but locals too so be ready for a waiting line in prime hours.Menu & Wine list is available via QR code - attached also paper version for April 2022.Be aware that portions are hearty - you probably can share between 2 with additional appetizer. The location itself is safe even its counted outside Condado area - you can walk here, no need for a drive, YMMV.
Bebo’s cafe was a wonderful dinner place! The restaurant was bustling with activity. We had to wait for around 30 minutes, but i was worth it. Our waitress only spoke Spanish, but everything went smoothly. There daiquiris are strong and yummy. For dinner, I got the chicken mofongo and it was dripping with flavor! It was the best mofongo I’ve had so far in Puerto Rico.
The best food is right Here! I ordered the Stuffed Chicken Avacado, the Chicken was so tasty and tender! The Avocado was the largest Ive ever seen. This dish was outstanding. Service was fast. Get here early they sell out of stuff fast. We also had the meat Empanadas and the Cheese and Guava. I could have eaten a pile of these babies. We will be back. #10stars
First time and I really wanted to like this restaurant but I was very disappointed and disgusted by what I ordered. Wish I knew what to order because I couldnt return and give it another chance. The waiter who served me wasnt as helpful when ordering. As an appetizer, I ordered the lobster empanadillas. It was served freshly made to order and temperature hot. Didnt enjoy it that much. My entree, Mofongo relleno de Marisco mixta en salsa crillo, was even worse. The mofongo wasnt great and the seafood wasnt how I would have liked it prepared. It was either steamed or mixed in some lime-based sauce. Eventually stopped eating, paid, and left
A local restaurant and must try, the owner came over and was awesome! Made sure we were served correctly and food came out in the chaos of lunch rush. Great food all around, need to try Tropical Sangria and we got some to go that was killer on the sand walk back to our Hotel, 2 miles away lol. But always an adventure when we are out.
We were a little hesitant at first given the reviews but DON’T BELIEVE THEM! If you want some good authentic PR food this is the place to be. So glad we took the chance and tried them. The food was soooooooooo good! If you’re traveling it’s only right to try the cultures food. Our server was super nice! The empanadas were to die for and the sauce the food comes with? I wish I could take it back home with me, I’m still thinking about the food the next day!!!
Everytime Im in PR its a must to visit here. Usually order to go as its can be very busy. Best PR comfort food around. I appreciate the staff, they work very hard. They always greet me as sweetly. My kids love it here too. Also ask staff for suggestions they can help...I get a lil of it all.I seen a few complaints about staff in some reviews but Id encourage them to have patience with them they endure alot and witness alot of tourist being very disrespectful to them for no reason.
Our introduction to "aguacate rellenos" was here and it was amazing. The stuffed avocados here were perfectly ripe and huge. (Though I later discovered all avos were huge in Puerto Rico)I ordered an aguacate rellenos de pernil. Roast pork stuffed avo, and even though it wasnt on the menu, the waitress didnt blink an eye. Docked a star for cleanliness because our table and the floor under our table felt oily and could have done with some sweeping. It was a solid meal option since we were in the area.
Not a touristy restaurant. Just a local area restaurant. So prices are great.Have to know some spanish as they do not speak english.Just wanted a simple breakfast that was inexpensive and we got it. Food was great!Unfortunately we never got around to coming back to try the lunch or dinner menu. Maybe in a future trip ;)
The food was good and the price is reasonable, but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. Everyone local told me I had to go there so I had very high expectations. It was good but nothing I couldn’t get in New York City.
Fresh! Quality food, good service, great air conditioning, and designated parking. Some of the best food we had while in Puerto Rico.
Baby T-bone on the grillSmoked pork chop on the grillCeviche de meroThis has to be the best T-bone steak I have had in my life. It was super juicy and tasty. The portion was huge and the price was cheap. The pork was a bit too salty, but good. Service was a little slow, but the good food made up for it
Do you notice theres no photo of the food I bought? Want to take a guess why? Correct!! I ate it too fast!! 😋 Guys and Girls just go. You wont be disappointed!!Pros:- Its been open for years so you wont have to worry about showing up and finding out its closed like other restaurants.- Food tastes Great. Dominican Restaurant but with strong Puerto Rico styling and flavoring. The perfect mix for many im sure.- Classy, clean, and impeccable service. The waiter was not pushy or asking if everything was ok mid bite every couple minutes. Yet, he somehow knew exactly when he was needed. They have a great waiter to table ratio and you dont see stressed staff trying to catch up which I give management credit for maintaining. It was a pretty busy Friday night too.Cons:- I bought the Mofongo con Pernil which came out great but unfortunately did not come with rice. I recommend paying for the rice as a side because it goes well with the Pernil and the Mofongo alone wasnt enough to fill this 6ft Puerto Rican 😅- Its in Condado and if you know Condado you know the parking sucks and theres usually traffic in and out. I almost paid $7 for parking but found a spot on a side street 2 blocks away.My YouTube channel --- Oro Flows --- has little to do with food but I do visit Waterparks including 2 of the Biggest in Puerto Rico. If you found this review helpful check out my page for some unique ideas for fun around the island and states. Also next door is an epic PR Flag painted building (see photoslike the one that was/is in Miami. Great for that tourist photo you can show off to your friends!!!
This place is so good during our shirt trip to San Juan we had to go twice! The goat stew was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten, very flavorful.
We had to wait around 45 minutes for a table. The food was okay. The service was okay. The presentation and taste was okay. Everything was just okay. I was hoping for a wow factor with the popularity of the place and it wasnt there.
Very nice authentic Puerto Rican food. Ate here twice with my family, the day we came in and the day we left. Very busy eatery. Fast and very good service. Would surely come again.
This place offered a very great experience. When we arrived a man was taking names on a list for entry. He walked in circles and could go missing. Once inside it was loud with families and friends enjoying themselves. We ordered drinks and they were very fresh tasting. The empanadas needed the dipping sauce for flavor. We ordered mofongo, and it was excellent. Service was as expected with a full house. Would definitely go again. Food was great, atmosphere was great.
Authentic Puerto Rican food!Great prices, great service, and great food.Would definitely recommend if youre here on vacation. No need to go to the tourist spots that over charge you. There will more than likely be a bit of a wait but its worth it. Tables were spread out enough for me to feel safe.Food took about 10 minutes to come out. Appetizers came out within 2 minutes.Parking lot is always full so Id suggest parking down a side street close by
Nice place went here because of the extensive menu and our tour guide suggested it. Prices are reasonable and the waiter was so accommodating my friend ordered a mojito when they were about to close was told by one person coming up but then was told they could not serve because they were closing the waiter talked to the owner and she was served! Even though I didnt like my meal I got the avocado stuffed with crab I will still go back and try more! My friends steak was cooked perfectly!
