Beas Dhaba in Prague
Description
Privilege
It was really tasty and cheap
Amazing vegetarian food. Cafeteria style food, they charge by weight.
Good place with tasty and healthy foods on relatively cheap price.
Probably the best Indian food you can find in Prague. 100% vegetarian. Pure joy for Indian food lovers!
MoreGreat options for vegans/ vegetarians!- good location-fast service-many options
Everything is super well seasoned and tasty, except their salads which have really odd taste, but it can just be me. Price can ramp up quickly if load your tray fully with the weighty stuff.
MoreTasty food. Last hour is reduced prize 40%
Vegetarian and vegan buffet. Nice prices and tasty food. Great deal if you come after 8pm since you have 40% discount.
MoreFood was ok and affordable. We went for dinner and a lot of food boxes were empty
MoreI am not a frequent review writer, but this time I have to give one. I was struck how delicious the food is. Simply awesome. Staff is friendly, polite and helpful. Location is just in the center so you cant miss it. I recommended it to my friend and they were happy. Hands down. Its a mastery. Without a doubt. Will come again. Thank you.
MoreGreat meal for good price and healthy above all.
Best vegan restaurant in the city!Just go for it!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
A spread variety of delicious food. Relatively cheap.
Amazing place I visit everytime Im nearby :)
A really nice self-service vegetarian place. They mostly have Indian style food, but they offer other options as well. The place is nice, the food was delicious and the staff were quite friendly. Went there for lunch two days in a row. You can pay with a card there and the prices are very good.
MoreAmazing selection of food. All of I choose was delicious. Nice outdoor sitting and just the perfect cheap eat
MoreThis is a vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegeterian dish selection. They were all very yummy, I had the full plate of great vegeterian food. I highly recommend it. It didnt cause a tummy upset to me😁 I paid 168 krona for 5 different selection of vegeterian dishes.
MoreThe food is great, tasty and heatlhy, with a good variety of options.Just the staff is not really nice and they increased the price quite significantly.
MoreSolid Indian buffet, wide options, affordable prices. The only slight issue Ive had was (sometimescolder food.
MoreTasty food, quite a big choose, mostly indian flavours. As it is weighed per 100g it can easily jump to very expensive lunch.
More(Visited in February of 2018)After a long day of walking around town, I initially just wanted to head to my hostel and chill for a bit before searching out dinner, but then I realised that that would probably require more work than just stopping by whilst in the area, so I walked back the block Id passed whilst making up my mind and popped in.Being a buffet-style, pay-by-weight kind of eatery, youd think the concept would be pretty straightforward: get a metal tray, fill as you desire, weigh, pay, happy day. It is, really, but only if you either know Czech or had read (and, crucially, remembered!the reviews online beforehand and knew that youre not meant to put the soups in the tray itself, as theyre measured by bowl size instead. My luck being what it is, I recalled this just before going to pay, which allowed me to spare myself an awkward encounter by (very awkwardlyladling the soup into a bowl and covering up the rest with something else. (Phew.)Once youve paid your delightfully cheap sum and are seated, though, youll find that everything is great, if not predictably a wee bit on the tame side spice-wise (Im from southern Texas, so your mileage may indeed vary). Plus theres a jug of free water on every table - a welcome sight after having spent the day fruitlessly searching the city for a water fountain to fill up your bottle (and having had to pay for some at a restaurant the night before where your meal was 2.5x the price).Overall, I was well pleased with my experience and would love to see a chain like this venture out into other European cities (looking at you, Vienna!).Pros: Only YOU can decide what & how much you eat; great value; free water; gotta love those metal trays and cups!Cons: No English to be seen (could also definitely be a pro, now that I think about it, but the rules arent clear unless you can read Czech - maybe some clever pictographs would help here)
MoreMust try if you crave Indian veg food. You load up the plate and they weigh it to price. Visited during 2013-2014 for weekend lunch. Walkable distance from Wenceslas SQ.
MoreA really good surprise ! Im not vegan but even if you are a fan of meat, you will really enjoy eat there ! The main reason is because it will offer you many different tastes and unique meal ! And also because the price is very low ! You can eat for one person for only 3€ ! Definitely recommend this place !
MoreA reliable vegetarian stalwart for a buffet lunch in Prague. The menu hasnt changed much over the years but the ingredients are always fresh and the food is tasty.
MoreA wide variety of dishes for any taste, friendly staff, pridide gloves and hand desinfection in the Corona time, nice open sky terrasse behind. can recommend
MoreI love this place. All veg, with to-go boxes, and very decently priced for the level of deliciousness. Go an hour or so before closing to get the best deals!
MoreOverall good place, however, healthy variety is more restricted in the sense that most offered self serving food except salad choices is deep fried and very oily - at least during my stay. Staff was very kind. Surprise was that you also pay per selected items but not only as per weight - may be misleading the first time. Overall prices are reasonable and fair. I would come again.
MoreHighly not recommend due to cheating with price. You pay not only by weight but by count, so your dish will be twice more expensive due to it. Its conscious way to cheat people
MoreNive vegetarian place, big offer, possibility to sit outside, they accept card payments, sweets and salty food , buffet
MoreI guess in Prague if you keep on visiting the same place a few times for food it cannot be that bad. A lot of things going for this place: it is convenient located; the food changes daily and the service is friendly (I just love places that is run by girls only. They areso good 🤪). Food is also OK, if a bit oily for some dishes. But the buffet style food gives a satisfactory choice. Really busy sometimes but tables are turned quickly. A good place to eat and run. Go check it out...
MoreExcellent food, price and place! I really loved it. Its a buffet and you have many options , they charge you for the weight and some things are per unit.We had a good lunch for two for EUR 14.- with drinks.Delicious and healthy meal.
MoreI didnt like this place. I came there after 8pm and there was supposed to be a 40% discount but I paid 140 CZK! To be honest, I didnt understand why I paid so much. I think its too much for a place like this. The food was cold, fatty and tasteless. It is not healthy food. By comparison, at Loving Hut I can pay the same price, but the food is much better and the staff more friendly. I dont know, maybe before 8pm they had a better meal and it wouldnt be such a shame to pay so much money, but going to eat at this place to save money is a bad idea.
MoreCame for lunch with a friend who is a regular visitor and I understand why. There is a cold and hot buffet. If you are vegan, you might need to check the labels. But if you are vegetarian you are ok the right place. I would’ve struggled to choose, but picked my dishes with some help from a friend. The flavours are a mix of Asian/North Indian. Serving trays are quite generous, little by little it all adds up. I have definitely underestimated the volumes on my first visit. They weigh your food and then you have a choice to sit outside in a small courtyard or indoors.Restaurant gets very busy lunchtime, if possible, avoid peak hours. But it seams that people don’t stay around too long. Just eat and go.I will definitely return here on my next visit. The food is exactly as I like it; great variety, unusual combinations, full of taste and aromas. Quick and courteous stuff.
MoreOne of the best vegetarian Indian food in reasonable price if you are in Prague, tried 6-7 different varieties of dishes, all of them were extremely tasty and it was like home made food...I wish if they could open the store in other cities of Europe... A great experience
MorePay by weight. Eat in with free green tea & water, or take-away. Lots of choice. Vegetarian / vegan. Not exceptional but pretty decently tasty.
MoreAll Dhaba Beas places in Prague are equally great! They are mainly vegetarian but you wont go hungry if you are vegan either! Im vegan! ❤ They cook mainly Indian cuisine but they also have some Czech food (or its veggie/vegan alternative to be exact), usually during lunch time. Youll eat for 100-150 czk, depending how hungry you are. Some places have an outdoor seating too, such as at Na Poříčí or at Bělehradská. But all places are super!
MoreVery simply said, this is not a Michelin restaurant. The food is very simple, usually the same, and vegetarian. Healthy food can be found here, but many of the meals are prepared with milk and butter so some of it isn’t so healthy. Some meals taste good. Others lack salt and/or spices. Some foods are too thick to chew, some salads are too cold... etc. But the bottom line is, some meals are healthy and relatively tasty, and I eat here almost every day. It’s quick and easy and satisfying if you’re a veggie burger or a health nut like myself!
MorePlease please please dont go here. You simply cant eat food here. Better stay hungry than eating food. This is a buffet system where you pay for what you eat. It seems that they serve you Indian food but trust me it sucks. I was misled by the rating it received on Google reviews and I went there along with my family. We felt horrible eating the food. Even the salad smelled something else. Please I request you not to go here.
MoreThis is a great buffet in the centre of Prague with very cheap prices. Its a variety of Indian and other food with vegetarian-only options. Its also suitable for vegans with foods such as eggless spaghetti etc.Accepts cards. The place has its own little garden with outdoor seating. Smoking in the garden is prohibited though.I recommend the halva with pudding. Its a fantastic dessert, difficult to come by in Prague.
MoreThis place is an insult to all genuine Dhabas in Punjab. Anyone who believes this is what north Indian food tastes like needs to have their taste buds examined. I havent tasted more bland and flavorless food since I was an invalid in the hospital. Run , run as fast as you can away from this place unless you have ulcers, in which case this is the place for you, no spices , no chili and mushy vegetables. Totally disappointing
MoreClosest to Indian taste in Prague.. Buffet system.. Charged as per weight of the food plate.. Didnt find the Indian bread.. Few items like samosa etc, are separately charged.. Good food at good price..
MoreGood food, self-service buffet style, so good option for quick lunch. Its a very popular place so can be crowded at lunch hours. Price by weight means that the meal can get pricy if ones hungry.
MoreAbsolutely amazing vegetarian feast. Being a meat lover myself, I didnt miss it at all. Was there for lunch on a weekday and was pleasently surprised by the spread. There was butter paneer, aalo gobi, jeera rice etc. It was mainly Indian but also included some Thai or Chinese dishes. It had a distinctly home cooked flavour to it. Not the usual taste you get in other Indian restaurants in Europe. Reminded me so much of home. You pay by the weight of food you take. For one person it usually comes around 120 Kr. Totally worth the price. It can get crowded though.
MoreAwesome Indian food away from home. Great place to have Indian food with traditional Indian taste. The food is well priced and filling. The staff was also very cordial.
MoreBest vegan place around, buffet style, fast, prices ok.
Food here is very tasty and it is value to the money you pay. We went to this place twice. They have limited menu but still everything in the menu is tasty. The buttermilk and mango lassi is yummmmm. And they also have 40% discount if you go after 7pm.
MoreIts authentic Indian Vegetarian food. For those from India, it is Indian Thali (full Indian mealsold by weight.I landed post 7pm accidentally, which means a 40% discount. I am a medium eater and a typical meal for me cost around €5, which is super affordable, given the rate and quality at other places. Even without the 40% discount, I would end up paying around €9, which is easy given the tasty and wholesome food. The mango lassi is great too!I highly recommend this place. I have had Indian vegetarian food at restaurants in Prague, Paris, Dublin and Berlin, and nothing else comes close to this one! Hats off to the chef! Its like getting a meal in an Indian thali restaurant.
MoreAlthough the food is quite good - authentic North Indian home made food (different from what is served at restaurants), the lack of English labels for the food is disappointing because the staff speaks little to no English. I prefer to know whats in my food for my own curiosity. Not knowing what ingredients were used wasnt too big a problem for me, however I can see this being an issue for those with food allergies.
MoreDelicious Indian vegetarian, if you are into spicy, this is it! You wont miss the meat, either. Great for a quick bite as well, usually crowded.
MoreVery tasty Indian vegetarian food . Sometimes too spicy. During lunch is quite crowded.
