Excellent bagels and excellent cream cheese. Awesome staff!

Visited this location this morning, as I’ve visited most BB in Wilmington. I must say I have never been so disappointed in ANY location as I have this one. The front desk man who took my order was amazingly kind, (he seemed newand despite his manager continuously yelling at him throughout the almost hour I was in there, he was the only one who made my experience even tolerable. As I stated before, the manager would take the tickets from him, yell at him and then gossip with her little friend about him, loud enough for customers to hear. While she was taking her time buttering bagels, the gm was also taking her time on each order, yelling at the front desk guy again to let the customers know that there would be 25 minute tickets. Which is pathetic considering most orders were 1-2 bagels. I will not be visiting this location again and I really hope you treat your employees better.

Excellent bagels and fresh cream cheese. They have 4 locations and the staff is very attentive and friendly.They have a very creative bagels sandwich menu.

I don’t understand how a company can be so poorly run. There phones rarely work. You call and it goes straight to voicemail it is utterly pathetic. Service is terrible employees have no idea what’s going on. They need new management desperately.

Actually the WORST bagel place in Wilmington. They do NOT know how to run a business. If you are thinking of getting food from here..DON’T! Their phones barely work and the staff is terrible. Management is not any better either.

Waited for 30 min to get a simple bacon egg cheese. Then its cut so one side is 75% of the bagel. Good food but can do better elsewhere.

Disappointed in how this place runs now. Id say it used to be one of the staple resteraunts for tourists and locals in Wilmington but certainly not anymore. The poor staff are overwhelmed and you can expect a wait of up to 45 mins to an hour depending on the day. We ordered the Jose and it was ok. You could tell it was quickly thrown together with little regard for making sure elements of the sandwich were spread evenly. Although the place was jammed they were still taking phone and online orders which was significantly slowing down the staffs ability to prioritize and stay on top of the ever growing line of people waiting. It looks like its a management problem as I can see by the comments made on other post that its all about making excuses not solutions. I will certainly never bring my business back to that location. Id recommend trying one of the other locations or one of the many other fantastic breakfast/brunch options in Wilmington.

DoorDashing with these guys is a headache. I call in to make sure they still have the “insulated bag rule” they said they did, not a problem I canceled my order and proceeded to head there to get my own bagel instead. The problem is someone without an insulated bag picked that order up 10 minutes later with some poor excuse. I go in two days later accepting a DD order and they deny me and deny my claims above. So let’s just have some consistency please.

For the food be a sub prime “bagel”. Not only is the wait long but for no reason. They seem to think call and online order is more important than a face to face order. Ordering something as simple as a b/e/c took over 20 min… bagels are not that fresh and ingredients not that good

Solid jalepeno business bagel. Not crazy good but I enjoyed it. Took about 8 min to get food. I’d go here again.

I have had tons of bagels and Ive never seen anywhere be so generous with the cream cheese! The garlic and herb cream cheese is pretty much heaven! So good! The bagels we got were awesome- especially the Everything and the Jalapeño.. The coffee is very good as well. The service was quick and efficient. The inside has a simple beachy vibe.

Decent bagels (one or two doughy onesbut grouchy staff - didn’t greet me when I walked in and the girl was huffing and rolling her eyes as I ordered a bakers dozen and she got my order ready. Didn’t expect anything super extra but a smile and cheery good morning would have gone perfect with the bright peppy decor of this beach bagel shop.

Most locations are pretty good. Not this one. Rushed our food. Girlfriend order a bagel with egg, sausage and cream cheese. Came out sloppy with cream cheese everywhere. I ordered a spinach wrap with cheddar, sausage, peppers and onions and the eggs were so runny they were dripping onto my lap and my cheese was still cold.

Make it very hard for dasher to pick up order. I’m aware it says you need a bag but you guys need to be aware that you do NOT get a bag when you sign up it takes about a week. Need better communication with door dash.

Everything bagel has seeds over entire bagel, not just the top. Excellent!

They would be a 5 if they were properly staffed and the wait wasn’t always so long. When will these places start paying a decent wage instead of using the short staff excuse.

I just love this place! And the bagels are extraordinary! However during busy times they tend to rush the bagels and can be a little sloppy. Forgotten items aren’t a rare thing either. Though I must admit they’re doing as good of a job they can. I appreciate the effort and the delicious meal! It’s always 20% from me. Thank Beach Bagels team!

This location is convenient and the food is great - we love the vegan options. We were in town on vacation and visited this location everyday - we ordered ahead each day, at least 45 minutes in advance and only once did we have to wait when we got there to pick it up. Service is lacking, but signs indicate they are short-staffed...this was our issue with the Wrightsville Beach location in July too 🤷One thing youll want to do is check your order before leaving to ensure they got it correct, our last order before heading out of town was missing a few toppings that we had paid for, but didnt realize it until we were an hour into our drive home.Overall, the food is worth the little hiccups.Edited: just ordered ahead of time again and 2/3 the order was wrong. they didnt apologize, they didnt comp my food, they didnt offer a discount, they didnt offer to let me keep the messed up ones while they made the new ones the way they should have been made from the beginning. ridiculous service.

Love this place. If their open and were passing by, were stopping in.

This is the worst bagel I’ve ever had. The guy forgot my order then rushed it and screwed the cut up and barely even warmed it up and stared at me like I was weird just asking for my food. Also this bagel and My girlfriends cost $19 for their “meal” which included a soggy lame hash brown.

Nice bagels. Theyre warm and offer an array of options but the staff like to make suggestions on items theyre clearly unfamiliar with, like the cream cheese. I recommend going with your gut when picking your order instead of asking the staff.

Ran out of Bagels, but as a recent transplant from Long Island, NY, these bagels pass the test. Very good. Just get there before 10am and you should be ok.

Beach Bagels is always good though sometimes crowded. Went there this morning and the server was taking a bunch of hatred off the customer in front of me . He handled it well and that customer was really a tool. This was on Xmas eve morning eve btw. Anyway every place gets overwhelmed sometimes and makes mistakes especially these days, no need to be an a- hole about it. I’ll still patronize Beach Bagels because the food is good and the service usually excellent. Happy holidays 5 stars 😎

Beach bagels is one of my favorite breakfast spots but today was disappointing. I was charged $10 for an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox. The worker charged me for a Lotta Lox bagel meal when I did not want a meal and did not even receive anything but the bagel. Waited 20 minutes for said bagel as well. Should be able to build a bagel not be charged for something that I did not order. Just a frustrating experience.

Update: Always great and delicious!I went here for the first time yesterday on Easter and my bagel was amazing!! The service wasn’t quick but it was worth the wait. The staff was friendly as well. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in town.

The wait time for a bagel with vegan cream cheese was longer then 10 minutes. When I finally got the bagel the cream cheese wasnt vegan. Your counter person with the daddy hat was unconcerned with the delay and mistake to the point of being rude. I get it, were all suffering from an over tasked limited work force....but rude? Sorry beach bagel, never again.

Waited 45 minutes for an online order after placing it 15 minutes prior to arriving. We always come here and we love beach bagels, but it’s not worth it anymore. Other places in the area with better quality and friendlier staff.

This place needs work. Even with so many restaurants struggling to stay open, some of those blessed with business have no clue how to manage volume.Ordered food via DoorDash at 10:38am. Took 5 minutes for them to confirm at 10:43. At 11:06, when the driver arrived, we got a call stating they are out of a certain type of bagel...even when it states to go with merchants recommendation if unavailable.Location is less then 2 miles from our office. Its 11:16 now and the driver still has not left the slowest bagel shop in town.I cancelled order - they can eat it.Stick to Round Bagels, best Garlic and Salt bagels in NC - just a shame they are not on DoorDash.

In the Oleander store 10/3.. Bagels are great, no question. My complaint is with employees not wearing gloves to take bagels from the bins and put into bags for taking home. Blond employee with pony tail pulled back took my credit card for payment. She wore a mask but no gloves. She helped the next customer then started getting my bagels with BARE HANDS. I did not notice if she washed her hands or not. When asked about not wearing gloves she said the owner said they did not have to since they had tongs to use. When asked how often the tones are sanitized she did not answer. I asked her to please put on gloves before getting my bagels . She put on gloves and asked if she should use the tongs. I said “ no “ since they were used earlier probably without cleaning. She finished my order as I directed. She did not appear to understand the issue which is a health safety rule at any time, but especially now. Mixing money, credit cards and food is unsanitary. This shop needs continuing health rules education.

OK bagel poor Service New to the Wilmington area and received a coupon for Beach bagels and excited to give it a try. Tried to order online but you can only order sandwiches online. cannot order bulk bagels and we wanted both. so opted to visit the Oleander Drive location. Understand it’s a weekend day but order pick up process is very disorganized. Sign to the right of the registers saying “online and call in order pick up here” yet blondie behind the counter getting very indignant when people try and pick up from there and rudely announcing call ahead orders pick to the left of the register. Additionally there are two registers but one appears to be dedicated to taking call in orders. When not on the phone, call in register is not taking orders from patrons in the store and is idle. Several times during the wait in line staff announced that it is a 30 minute wait from order to pick up it you are ordering a bagel sandwich. Come on. 30 minutes? I see four people in the cooking area. How hard is it to toast and assemble some combination of bagel egg meat and cheese? Hearing the 30 minute wait I opted for a dozen bagels and some spreads to go and exited the chaos as quickly as possible. Bagels are just average. Not worth the wait. Didn’t get to try the bagel sandwich I saw on the online menu cause I can’t order sandwiches and bulk bagels online. Management needs to update online ordering to add bulk bagels to the list; update the signage in the restaurant to direct patrons to the correct areas and some how streamlined the cooking/assembly process so you don’t have to wait 30 minutes from a simple bagel sandwich. Many other bagel options in the area with faster friendlier service

The bagel was delicious, and I will give that 5 stars. However, the service was atrocious. On a busy Saturday, I do not mind waiting a longer period of time as they are very busy, and only had 4 people on staff. Two cooking, and two taking orders. A female line cook continually kept losing her temper, and was yelling at the customers in the store telling them how long of a wait it would be. Along with this, she was visibly slamming food and cooking utensils around. This made many people feel unwelcome, and incredibly uncomfortable. This was at the oleander drive location. I suggest going to a different location where the workers know how to handle stressful situations, and not make guests feel uncomfortable while waiting for their food.

I went to Beach Bagelss Seagate location for the first time this week at 10:30. There were three people waiting for their food when I got there and placed my order for one bagel. I waited over 30mins for my food, while I watched 4 other people come in, order, and leave with their food within minutes. When I finally got my food, it ended up being the wrong order.There were two workers, one making bagels and the cashier. The cashier refused to help make bagels, instead standing around while not taking orders.I was very disappointed with the quality of service, the messed up order, and the fact that my order took over 30mins while four other people who ordered after me were in and out quickly.

We came out super early for a bagel, not realizing they werent open yet. Deciding to wait for it, we watched the employees make their way in. Upon calling to let the ladies know we werent crazy people, just hungry, they went above and beyond.... coming out to offer coffee while we wait. Even taking our order and delivering, all BEFORE they were scheduled to open! Oh.... the food was good too!! Lol

Beach Bagels is the perfect breakfast spot. They have a wide variety of bagels to choose from, doughnuts, and a varied menu of breakfast bagel sandwiches. The service is fast and friendly, food is always fresh, and you can take it with you or eat there. The coffee is great too, and always hot. One of my favorite spots for a good breakfast in Wilmington.

This is by far the worst bagel place in Wilmington. I’ve tried over and over to give this place a shot and I got past the fact you have to wait 45 min for 2 bagels but I can’t get past how awful your food really is. You soaked my bagel in a tub of butter it seems it’s almost ridiculous and there was no sign of cheese. You almost never get the order correct and your bagels are flat with almost no toasting going on. It actually blows my mind.

Came here once when they first opened and did not have a great experience. Fast forward to today and now regretting not coming sooner. Had the beast combo and it was delicious. Will def be back.

Other location is better. This one is not good at all. So slow with the food. There were people there but it wasnt too crowded. Took 30 mins for a cream cheese bagel with added bacon. I told her what bagel I wanted and she said "but I like it on a wrap". I literally just went for the smoothie and no smoothies at this location. What also made the experience annoying was the volume of the people. One girl was talking so loud the whole establishment could hear every word of her conversation. Other locations are better to me. Bagels are good.

Good bagels, friendly staff, decent facilities. The bagel sandwiches are great and customizable. The bagels by themselves are nice. The bagels are slightly heavier in consistency with a thin crust that has a smooth break/snap. They are not mushy or overly crispy. I took home a bakers dozen of random selection by the staff and havent had one that I didnt like. Mmmm carbs.

Seems this place is getting slack. I haven’t been here in a while and I keep giving them a chance but now I realize why I go to Donut Inn instead- It took BB 18 minutes to give me a paper thin egg and forget the bacon and not even use the cheese I asked for. The dude taking orders at the register was less than friendly also. Sorry... but I continue to be unimpressed. No more for me.

WOW!!! We are visiting Wilmington from Rochester NY. We went here today for breakfast. The interior was your typical bagel place. Not a ton of eat in space, maybe 7 tables with chairs. Your basic coffee station with the necessities.We started bagel, egg and cheese sandwiches. BLOWN AWAY! Soft and warm, perfectly chewy! I would have had 2 if my stomach had allowed! I highly recommend!! We will be stopping on our way out of town tomorrow for sure!

Just no. From the start this was just bad. The cashier couldnt care less that we were there. We had to repeat our order to her because she flat out wasnt paying attention. We ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese and waited at least 20 minutes, best part...we were the only ones in line when we got there. So thats cool. While waiting several of the people who came in after us recieved their food. After waiting, the bagels we received were cold. This is the second time we have gone to this location to receive this same type of service. Will not be returning and will not be recommending Beach Bagels to anyone.

Stopped in around 10;50 am to get a bagel with cream cheese, it took 25 minutes and it wasnt even busy. Saw a few others that received wrong orders while I was waiting. Pretty disorganized if you ask me. On the plus side the Everything Bagel was good.

Amazing! Had three different vegan version bagels, impossible burger, vegan veggie delight w/ vegan cream cheese and the plant based egg w/garlic cashew cheese. We absolutely loved all three. The hashbrown was fresh and seasoned and sweet tea was A+. Thanks again.

Good bagels for the south. But very annoying that I have been turned down when asked to buy a dozen bagels or even 1/2 dozen. Terrible business practice. They dont make enough product so I have been denied 3 times for that request. Timing about 10-11 am. I am adding this. Went to get 1/2dozen on Saturday 5/18/19 long wait just to get to register. 25 .minutes easy. Placed order and waited another 15 minutes fro them to make me a tub of cream cheese! Are you kidding 40 minutes total. People walked out . I waited just to see how long it would take..makes me not want to go back. I might take the long drive and go empire.

Absolutely amazing! Tge bagel itself is on par with the bagels in the northeast. Rock solid ingredient quality and the flavors all tasted fresh. I had The Beast and it exceeded my expectations, all coupled with friendly and prompt customer service. Truly a gem!!

Huge disappointment. I order a plain bagel with bacon, ham, and cream cheese to go. Got home and opened up my bagel. Picture shows it all - almost no cream cheese. There are bits of egg and cheese on my bagel that are from someone who elses order it seems. Sloppy and burnt. For a 20 minute wait, we will not be returning.

Went here for the first time with my wife on a Wednesday at about 11:30am and the place was rocking! We ordered an everything bagel with vegan egg salad and it was very good. The bagel had great flavor and texture but a little on the small side. The vegan egg salad was also very good but could have used a little more salt. It was a bit pricey, almost $6, but I will definitely go back. They have a pretty extensive menu including a good amount of vegan options including the Impossible Burger! I would recommend giving them a try!

Beach bagels are great! I think "the beast" is a bit wimpy for the name of the bagel but it sure is tasty! My family loves this place every time we visit my sister at school beach bagels is a definite stop! Plus good staff makes any experience good!

Never a disappointment! They have a great selection of bagels. I got the ultimate on a sundried tomato bagel and it was delicious! My husband got a traditional bacon and egg and cheese on an everything bagel that he enjoyed as well. Last time I was there I got a lunch salad that was refreshing and crisp! Always recommend this place
