Bazaar of Peja - Tourist attraction in Bajram Curri, Albania
Bazaar of Peja in Bajram Curri
Description
Privilege
Nice place to visit
Okay
Very interesting place
Its small and doesnt have many options. It has basics like clothes, shoes, and very few handcrafts
MoreAn average bazaar with a lot of shops. The only drawback is that they are all selling either jewelry or some cheap clothing. The only highlight is the shop that sells high quality leather boots relatively cheap.
MoreBeautiful place to see the lights in the night and to shop at daytime.I have been here, twice. You can order the items you desire directly from the shopowner, they will help you as good as they can. Just show them a foto and they will find it for you. Good prices for fake items. I could not communicate in the albanian language but everyone was willing to help me and somehow it always worked out.
MoreSuper
Great place, lot of fun and you can trade with the people.
Extensive old bazaar with many a shop to wander into as you walk through its network of streets. Lots on offer although it can become a little repetitive. Theres a nice atmosphere so take a stroll and see if you go home with something interesting.
MoreMy father was guardian from United Nations so I came here early... Greetings from Turkey :)
MoreBest city in Kosovo
although Sunday, some shops are open
Good
Many shops but old traditional shops are gradually disappearing unfortunately
A little crowded and chaotic in the evening, but full with friendly and kind people.
MoreFun and enjoyable to see beautiful goods
Nice place for shopping
Nice place for shopping
There are no bars to speak of and very few places to eat mostly which dont serve alcohol. What is there? Thousands and thousands of inexpensive shoes and cheap shirts.
MoreCould be better, but there is all sorts of stuff to buy cheap.
Fantastic place! Friendly people and no one Ry haggle you.. You can look around without feeling pressure to purchase.. Most people speak some English but not alot. Still they have an idea of what your saying.
MoreNice place with autenthic atmosphere
Peja was a beatful place to visit, recomend when you are in kosova
Freshly renovated, good variety and friendly merchants.
Old but historicall, chaotic but charming, full .... of live and never boring 😇😍🤩
MoreARDESI JAM. MYINT SAN. LOVE YOU .I .🇦🇱🇲🇲.OK.YES
Really beautiful architecture with some old buildings and friendly people. Not much in the way of interesting shops as they all seem to be selling the same "Authentic" Nike, Adidas and other designer products. One word of advice would be to keep a handle on your bags as it can become a hangout for Romani at night who will follow foreigners asking for cash.
MoreVery nonsense city center.
You should visit this place in case you want to feel the connection with the people of the city
MoreIts a mix of lots of gold made for weddings and Chinese knock-off t-shirts and jackets with batteries, cigarettes and some other weird things in-between. The place has a vibrant feel to it but compared to similar sites like this in Turkey or even Sarajevo this basar is a bit of a disappointment
MoreThe most wonderful Bazaar for me! But the prices get very high every year we come here the prices are higher and thats really sad.
MoreNice to walk around, some fake brands
Perfect place for shopping. Nice and posh
This is a good place although most stuff is fake the jewelry isnt stop by arpunues to get jewelry customed or fixed, also always try and lower the price when buying something their first offer is usually their highest
MoreThis place is just amazing
Cheap n fresh fruits & vegetables
An old bazar of Peja also known as Long Bazar ( Çarshia e gjatë). This used to be main market of the city during the old times. People from all around would bring goods to sell at this market.Old Bazar is also well known for artisanal works. Many tailors were located at this bazar. National hat (plismakers were there and many other astisans who had a long lasting tradition in different occupatios. Not to forget jewlery stores and silversmiths who did a great job.It is so worth visiting the old bazar.
MoreIf you are in Peja go check it, its a nice little walk. Nothing extraordinary but nice.I could be much nicer if the shops were selling something different than knock-off tshirt, shoes and belt from china (90% of the shops).
MoreCant beat Carshia
Fairly good ... 💪 A lot of locals seems to use it also
The Old Bazaar was created very early as a need to provide services and to ensure the livelihoods of families. The buildings in the Bazaar are hence located in areas which have the largest flow of population during the day. In 1835 there used to be 550 shops in the Market. From March-May 1999 the occupying Serbian regime burnt down the Old Bazaar completely, which was of a very significant importance for the city of Peja and its surrounding.
Morevery good
Cultural Heritage Site
Good pla e to visit
Renovated place with plenty of bars restaurants and shops.
A must visit place in Peja. Recently renovated after it was destroyed during 1999 war.
MoreHistoric Qarshia, worth visiting after renovation.
Interesting bazaar, although its been destroyed totally during the last conflict in Kosovo, the new build shops has been built in its original Ottoman era style. You can find here gold and silver ornaments, but the cheese market on Wednesday and Saturday is the best attraction.
MoreThe best historical place to visit in Peja!!
Things are little expensive but good quality
