The food was delicious my whole family gave 2 thumbs up and the waiter with the long crazy hair was very attentive and very well mannered highly recommended 👌

Horrible customer service. They do not take your order they make you wait ... they wait on other customers before you. Very unfriendly... and no manager ever on duty. Very RUDE...

Drink didnt get refilled till we were almost done eating. We asked for seafood gumbo and got shrimp gumbo instead. We asked for crawfish seasoning and hot sauce when we ordered our gumbo and didnt get it till they brought out the hot wings 10 minutes later after the gumbo was served. We asked for extra wing sauce and never got it.The waitress said she has worked there for 9 years. Our table of 2 was her only table.

Texas City, TXBaytown Seafood Restaurant**My Sister and I wanted to eat seafood and decided to try Baytown Seafood Restaurant in Texas City, TX. Upon entering this establishment we were greeted @ the front desk by a Greeter. Another individual who was speaking with the greeter, walked away from the desk with menus and silverware in hand, not saying anything to us (Red flag).We asked the greeter if we were supposed to follow the assumed waitress, and she said yes. The waitress placed the menus and silverware on the table and left the area. We were seated at a booth in the rear of the establishment near the kitchen and across from the restrooms and just in front of the work stations. After sitting there for about 5 minutes unacknowledged, we decided to leave!!! Bad Business practice which DOES NOT DESERVE A RATING!!

Why is your business failing. I ordered a two fish and six shrimp dinner it was raw. I told the waitress it was uncooked. She replaced it with the same fish. I didn’t eat it. Dinner was ruined by a incompetent cook. How many people have you made sick eating at your restaurant. How do you mess up frying fish.Ps the salad sucked also. Don’t eat at this restaurant.I did pay for the dinner. Fire everyone at the restaurant and start over. Don’t hire incompetent people.

Only 1 star for the gumbo. First off the waitress we had was very sweet but knew almost nothing of what was on the menu. Ordered a meduim cooked steak and lobster. Steak was room temp and well done. Lobster was cooked thoroughly but very tough. The crab cakes were frozen and pre-made then fried. Crawfish etouffee had a thick layer of grease on top. Everything ordered was sent back and thankfully taken off the bill. After not eating here for almost 3 years I hoped they were better. Will not be coming back.

Great grilled flounder, with shrimps for 14box,,, boy its the same you pay for a burger meal elsewhere.

This seems to be a somewhat popular place in Texas City. Unfortunately I was hoping to eat there one evening. The open sign was on and the place was lit up, however when I walked in a gentleman from across the room in a very hostile voice Yelled," You have to leave were closed". I left and I will never be able to give them a rating on their food I already have given you a radio on what I consider to be their attitude.

I went recently and was disappointed!! Calamari was very chewy! I ordered grilled fish with rice and veggies. No flavor and a bit tough. All of the fried food had an orange tent. One waitress, while talking to her coworkers kept hitting the booth I was sitting in. Gumbo was okay.

Beyond rude I ordered a plate of food in to go boxes because I dont eat off plates and was told I couldnt sit down and eat my food in restaurants even tho I was prepared to tip

Baytown Seafood is a friendly atmosphere with great staff. The service is kind and quick. The food is teally good. You get a lot for your money. Made hot and fresh. They have call in orders or you can order at the restaurant to go. They have a variety of seafood meals and so much more. So if you in the area or just want a great meal with friend or family for lunch or dinner, stop by here.

HORRIBLE food and poor customer service. Today was the first and last time I will attempt to eat at this place. I returned my food without eating it once, due to excessive salt.The waitress said she would have them prepare the meal without seasoning. When she brought it back it tasted the exact same. The waitress was rude.

Biggest bait and switch ever. Didnt have many food items that was on the menu. Im on vacation and wanted to eat good food for the experience and what you get here is Perkins, apples bees type experience and quality of food. Service is very unprofessional.On the positive side its affordable and generous portion. Their specialty is definitely the fried items. Its exceptionally good actually. But again, Im the coast wanting real sea food and had to settle for fried food. Nothing is fresh.

Going in I was concerned furniture a little worn however the food was great in the service was even better thanks

We are from Oklahoma and stopped by for lunch on our way home from Galveston. The waitstaff was on top of it as soon as we came in. Our waiter was great about explaining what was what and took very good care of us. The food was amazing. Will definitely be back when we are down again.

I have eaten there many times with friends and family went Saturday afternoon for lunch, every time we go the service is very friendly no problem finding a parking place it’s always clean on the inside and so far everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and the presentation was fairly well their food does have flavor and spices which is unusual for most restaurants these days. Do you choose wisely bring your appetite they serve large portions, or consider splitting an entrée that works also.congratulations Texas City you did well with this one!!

Food was delicious! My family and I tried this place out and I will definitely come back. We ordered the fried pickles. When they came out our waitress told us they were out of ranch. I was bummed out but they were some of the best fried pickles Ive ever had. Didnt even need to dip them in ranch. I ordered the fried catfish, fries and a crab cake. All were amazing. Some of the best food Ive ever had. The portions are huge too. Good food and its worth what you pay. 100% recommend trying this place out.

Dont know about yall opinion but in my experience, catfish taste like poop and the shrimp taste like bleach. Expensive for the poor service, but for me was 1 time and last one , I was so excited the place was so close to me.. but very disappointed :(

The ribeye steak was edible but not really good it was dry like and very chewy the flavor it had with grilled onions was good though. flavor 7/10 steak 3/10

In my experience of this place if you are looking for good food then try it out. Decor and service knowledge can be lacking. I think you do get what you paid for in food though. Large portions, of good food, for a cheap price.

If you order boiled shrimp to go make sure you check it before you leave the restaurant.Have always been satisfied with Baytown Seafood here in Texas City until now Called in a order for 20 boiled shrimp drove 7 miles to go pick up the order and 7 miles back got home the shrimp was so over cooked that I could not peel off the shells .The baked potato was good and the salad was good the shrimp was terrible. Always check any boiled food you call in to go before you leave the restaurant.

My ribeye steak was chewy and I didnt like sauce they used. The fried seafood had way too much batter and over cooked.

Wonderfully selections and you can tell they care about the food because it was seasoned well and cooked fresh. I brought home a couple of the to go meals when I was tired from work and did not want to cook at all. I was very impressed and I make a trip to go get something from here atleast once a month now. Thank you for the goid service too guys

Snow crabs were over priced. Did not have a taste. $31.99 for 2 clusters , oysters were not fresh. They were store bought and put into a cleaned shell. They were the worst I had.

Visited the TX City Restaurant, Aug 27,2021. Ordered the grilled Flounder. The fish was mushy (which is not the state of fresh Flounderand had a strong ammonia taste. Told the waitress about the mushy fish. Her comment was a lot of people have been saying that about the flounder. I also said that there was an ammonia taste to the fish which told me it was a very old piece of fish. Nothing was done or said. This was my second visit to the restaurant in a week. Ordered the same thing the first time….and all was good, which caused me to visit a second time and order the Grilled Flounder again. Due to being served old fish and no response to the issue, I will take my business elsewhere.

When youre a tea drinker, and your tea glass is empty, you ask for more ice tea, a waitress should never bring a glass of tea and zero ice!Ordered grilled red snapper, it wasnt cooked all the way! It was disgusting and the grilled shrimp was tasteless!The meal was not worth $65I dont know how they stay open!

Well I cannot not express how awesome this place is !!! We visit every couple months when we go to galveston but we brought our entire family Monday and dog and they went out of their way to accommodate my husband who stayed in car with the dog we are forever grateful we love yall and will always recommend yall the food is better than on the island and thats saying something TOP OF THE LINE RESTURAUNT!!!

I’ve been here twice and have had a great experience both times. I got the stuffed red snapper the first time and the fried shrimp plate the second time. Food is good and staff is friendly. Good prices for what you get.

Those of you visiting Galveston and don’t want to pay high prices for seafood y’all need to check out this restaurant. This restaurant is AWESOME!!!! I had the broiled seafood and there was so much food I couldn’t eat it all. Disregard all the bad reviews you see on here. I’m telling you it was worth the money. Very reasonable. Check it out. Chicken fried rice was awesome, the snow crab too.However they were out of several items on the menu which was inconvenient.My Dad did say his catfish was salty, and the Mexican shrimp cocktail is really just nasty. It was rubbery shrimp in chamoy with onion and cilantro.Also, our server was not great. We had 5 children with us and he was not in the mood to be patient with us.Also when going to the bathroom a female server came in and just looked at me and two of my kids and was watching us wash our hands? And then just walked back out. Really weird and had me keeping an eye on her the rest of the meal.

One of our former local favorites for good reasonably priced seafood. We were a little aggravated however when a server changed the TV channel. When we questioned it, we were told it was the owners decision. We asked that our complaint be conveyed to the owner. Our reply was that he didnt care. Not a great way to treat regular customers. I guess well find another place for fried shrimp and gumbo.

Love having to call for missing food get put on hold the hung up on. Then as Im on the line and the gal is talking to the back about the missing food keeps referring me to me as some woman, you had my name and also could have easily called me a customer. I love the food but the service definitely needs work.

OMG! I could not even finish my food before I had to stop and wrote this! The snapper its perfectly seasoned, she shrimp, and everything taste AMAZING!!! and if you have not tried the Mexican seafood soup you were missing out on a burst of amazing flavor!!! Totally worth the 25-minute drive to pick it up! This.is our new sea food place!!!!!!!!

The food was amazing. I loved the shrimp cocktails and appetizers. The shrimp po boy was super good too. Our waitress was also very attentive and amiable. They followed Covid-19 guidelines as well.

Ate here for my birthday. Got the 9 shrimp, 9 oyster, 9 crawfish platter (comes with fries). It was pretty good overall. Honestly wouldnt come again for a birthday just because of the lack of a bar but no worries. Oysters were undeniably overcooked. Other then that, everything went well.

Very reasonable prices. Large portions. Friendly and prompt service. Great food. Short drive from Galveston without the big prices or big crowds.

Went with a date. My entree arrived before both the appetizer and my dates entree. The scallops and shrimp in my seafood pasta were over done and the sauce was watery. My dates food wasnt any better. Way overpriced for the quality of food they serve. We will definitely not be back.

I order through Door dash and get the same thing every time. I get the ribye and shrimp but the shrimp is always missing. So now they refuse to take my orders saying that when I report missing items it makes them look bad. I never complain but I pay extra for the shrimp so I expect shrimp. Ive even tried to show up in person to pay And check the food before I leave and was told no. Other than that we love the food. Its our favorite place and now they refuse to serve me. I think instead of cutting me off they need to talk to the staff responsible for putting the order together. I really didnt expect the manager to be rude.

Walked at 2:30 in the afternoon. Long after lunch crowd. Place was filthy. You could see all the dirty tables. I mean not cleaned up at all. Dishes were still on the tables. I counted 11 tables alone in my direct area. I stood back up and looked at the other side of the room. It was worse. I stayed to try the food anyway. The waitress messed up my order. I ordered ribeye and lobster tail. She brought me steak and shrimp. I thought the food was ok. But pricey. I wont go back there again. It was shameful. If I owned the place I would be embarrassed. This place wont make it. Makes me scared what the kitchen looks like. I will file a complaint with the better business Bureau and local health department.

Have not been back in awhile. The place was decorated for Halloween, and inviting. Service was great. We got seated upon walking in. Food was great, from the appetizers to the grilled catfish. The kids plates are huge. They had the best sweet tea Ive ever had. The crew was really friendly.

Food was very good service was ok was clean no wait The prices was about what you would expect for seafood I wish they wouldve had a wider variety of adult drink

First time eating here and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant was clean and the employees very friendly. We were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our order was served timely, hot and correct. The food was delicious and plentiful with plenty of beverage refills. All in all it was a great dining experience and plan to return in the near future. If you are in the area give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Its a good place for fresh shrimps and fresh cat fish i shop there so when i cook seafood for my family

Had the shrimp gumbo..yum..boy better than that place in Dickenson😝..waitress kinda slow..there were only 3 tables with customers😲..lots of shrim in it..really good!!

Service could be better but the food is pretty good. I like the gumbo although it doesn’t have that authentic creole flavor. The roux is a little thick but it has a good taste. They make an excellent shrimp salad!! Good jalapeño hush puppies.
