Bayside Inn in Parry Sound
Description
I love this place.. its very relaxed, in a lovely area of town for walking, and rooms are very comfortable. Im always disappointed when Im unable to get a room as they are full. Best place in Parry Sound.
MoreNice clean rooms and owner very accommodating.
Love the Bayside Inn! Cozy, comfortable rooms. And an easy walk to restaurants by the water.
MoreThe Bayside Inn in Parry Sound was full of false advertising. This building is very old and creaky. They forget to mention the freight train right outside the window that comes through twice in the night. The beds were hard. The four piece bathroom promised was in fact a three piece with the fourth piece (bathtubin a closet in the room! There was no breakfast of any kind, and no one there to even talk to! The dining room had a blowup bed deflated sitting on the dinning tables. Kitchen was dark and nothing was going on! I would not recommend to stay here!
MoreGreat place to stay. Walking distance to restaurants.
Called and the guy in the phone hung up when he heard my accent. Didnt answer my question. My bf who is Anerican called seconds later and he entertained his questions.
MoreCute little boutique hotel with a bit of antique charm. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. I enjoyed the large king sized bed and relaxing on the large front porch. It would have been nice if there were a few morning snacks provided (but you can order full breakfast for a cost). More fresh coffee too - it went fast. One thing to note - this hotel is very close to the trestle train bridge which crosses overtop just a few houses down. If you’re a light sleeper (like I amyou’ll want ear plugs. The train passed 2-3 times during the nights I was there.I’d give this place 3.75 stars if goggle allowed me.
MoreThis place was a pleasant surprise as we dont often stay in smaller hotels/inns but that might change after this experience. We enjoyed the old historical building. Our room was clean and well appointed including a king bed that was very comfortable. Jeff was friendly and the price was very fair. Wed be glad to go back again.
MoreVery warm welcoming feeling being there. Quiet area and close to what we needed. Most comfortable beds weve ever experienced! Jeff is a fantastic host and we will be back for sure
MoreOur agency books at The Bayside Inn when we work in the Parry Sound area. The rooms have a Victorian feel, beds are extremely comfy, owner is always friendly. Close walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. I highly recommend opting out of the traditional ‘hotel’ experience and come and relax at the Bayside Inn.Joanne Koehler
MoreJeff was very welcoming and the rooms were beautifully made up.Well be back one day
MoreNice Inn. Friendly Owner. Clean room and comfy bed. Note that the breakfast option is only available during the “high season” (late May until ____? Thanksgiving maybebut instant coffee and tee are freely available.
MoreVery cute place. Clean. And great staff. Rooms are classic. History kept and lots of nostalgic items. Only complaints are it being such an old building walls are thin and you can here everything including trains and vacuums. But overall great place
MoreNicely renovated older house. Comfortable king-sized bed and I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. The train only passed a few times overnight and it mostly sounded like a furnace kicking in to me so it was no big deal. Nice location from which to walk to restaurants and an old fire tower
MoreStayed here once 7 years ago, still fondly remember the great service and clean room. Aside from the train, it was very quiet and I had a great night sleep regardless.
MoreComfy bed, clean and updated bathrooms. Great rate. I’m glad the comfort inn was sold out haha.
MoreThis place is awesome! Jeff is very good and will always attend your needs. I love how the linens and bed sheets smells so good. Their bed is so comforting and relaxing. It is also near to downtown Parry Sound in which you can just walk. I will stay here again once I am back in Parry Sound.
MoreWe were driving from Kitchener going home to the Sudbury area after a very stressful day. Driving was terrible so we decided to stop in Parry Sound. We found this little gem and was warmly welcome later at night. What a treat to find a comfy bed on short notice. Add to that a soaker tub and it made our stress filled day a little less... stressful
MoreBeautiful old building above harbour. Rooms are comfortable with great beds and full or partial bath..depending on room. Management is on-site and attentive to guests needs. Parking is on property, in front on street or across the road. Very quiet......except for trains on high-historic- trestle. Our second visit and I am sure we will return.
MoreVery well kept and clean inn. Lovely rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Great stay.
MoreThis is our second time staying here. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the hotel is an easy walk to the docks and restaurants. The owner is also personable and shared some good local fishing knowledge.Wed 100% stay again.
MoreWhen we walked in for our 2 day gal-get-away in Parrysound, we fell in love with this quaint 12 room boutique hotel. It was a close enough to distance to the waterfront yet quiet for a peaceful nights rest (and the beds were comfy!).There was an elevator in the hotel, an adventure in itself, slow and clunky (yet a bit scarybut it was all part of the charm of the inn. Because of COVID restrictions and spacing, there was no breakfast available however Jeff was happy to put on a pot of coffee for the guests. We gals recommend the Bayside Inn and may even be back in the fallas Muskoka leaf-peepers. Maggie and Brenda
MoreLoved Bayside Inn! It’s like a Hallmark Movie inn. Enjoyed the beautiful rooms and the fireplace in the lobby. The host with the most J-E-F-F is lovely. Thanks for having us!
MoreBeautiful Century Home! The rooms are so clean the comfort of the beds will keep you in them! Jeff the owner was very accommodating. We will be back!
MoreGreat place! Would highly recommend staying here. Location had great charm, rooms were clean, management was super! Location was great as well. Some reviews mentioned the trains being loud... was not an issue for us at all. Will be back for sure!
MoreExtremely well kept. Beautiful decor. Considering limitations of breakfast due to covid, we still had fresh coffee eachmorning .
MoreClean and comfortable room at the Bayside inn. The location was great for being able to walk around town and provided quick access to the fitness trail that runs along the water. Jeff was a very accommodating host and easy to get in touch with :)
MoreSuch a sweet little inn! The owner is extremely friendly and does a great job welcoming you into the historic home. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There is a railway that runs above and alongside the home that brings along a sense of history. Will 100% stay again!
MoreJeff was a great host. Easy check in. The room was spacious and so clean! The bed was the hardest part to leave. So comfortable. We had a very long drive so soaking in the bath tub was so nice. Thank you for having us!
MoreSuper cute and quaint Inn. Most comfortable bed ever!! Jeff was a super courteous host. Also really enjoyed Bay Street cafe for a great dinner!
MoreSuper clean rooms. Very friendly innkeeper, Jeff. Very comfortable beds. A fireplace welcomes you upon entering.
MoreHad a fantastic night in parry soundAccommodation at Bayside was super clean with tons of caracter. Terrific room with beautiful fire place and little screened in porch for fresh air or smoke breaks.Scrumptious breakfast in the am and all at extremely reasonable rate. Highly recommend you visit.
MoreThis is a quaint, well maintained Inn, run by a wonderful family. The rooms are lovely with comfy beds and are tastefully decorated. The optional hot breakfast is always delicious and is a super price. My husband and I have stayed several times while enjoying Parry Sound and always make it our first choice of accommodation.
MoreWonderful little Inn -- owner also offers a lovely hot breakfast. We adjust our travel dates when Bayside Inn is all booked up so we can always stay there on our way north. We especially love hearing the trains that come by on a nearby trestle.
MoreThe Bayside Inn was such a treat to stay at. My boyfriend and I decided to book based on location, but then quickly realized how lucky we were to be staying in such a cozy place. Our stay was during winter, so we decided on the room with the jacuzzi tub. What a great thing to have after a long wintry walk along the lake! I forget the owners name, but he made the best omelettes for breakfast along with other yummy things like yogurt, toast, coffee, juice and cereal.
MoreComfortable, quaint, and quiet. Historic building, lots of interesting pictures inside of old Parry Sound. Breakfast is so good- the owner will give you three options of hot meals, or you can have a continental breakfast. The beds were a good side and comfortable. The rooms were quiet and clean. Updated bathrooms. Convenient location.
MoreI dream of the next day my job sends me to Party sound, just so that I can once again visit the Bayside Inn. The owner himself is a memorable character, and the rooms are all beautiful. But that all pales in comparison to the breakfast you will be served, specifically the best french toast in Ontario. If you choose the omelette... Fine. Its fine. But try the French toast will you? It somehow has a thin, solid, carmelized crust, with a soft, eggy center. Absolutely perfect.
MoreVery nice B&B. We enjoyed our stay. You can walk into town and to the harbor. Good breakfast. Could use a sitting room where guests can get a coffee, sit and chat.
MoreWe stayed at the Bayside Inn on 29 Sep 18 while visiting the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. Easy place to find, close to many attractions and places to eat. The owners were very pleasant and the hot breakfast was awesome...if you like French toast or a mushroom and old cheese omelette, this is the place to eat!Luckily we read previous reviews that suggested bring ear plugs, which we did because, the only drawback we can say about this place is that its very close to the railway tracks. Will most definitely be staying here again if we are ever in Parry Sound again.
MoreI always stay here when Im in Parry Sound! I love this place. Best french toast ever! Jeff is very kind and makes your stay comfortable and personalized. Very comfy mattress.
MoreWe got caught in a small snow storm and had to quickly find accommodation for the night. A little searching turned up this little gem, the Bayside Inn is a lovely and quite unique place to spend the night in parry sound. We scored a king bed in our room and the shower had great pressure. Breakfast was offered, both continental and hot for a small additional cost.
MoreReally cute little Inn. We stayed in room 204, and it was perfect. The bathroom even had heated floors, which was really nice. Next time Id like to get a room with a fireplace!
MoreExcellent inn. Not a B&B. Fantastic old place with many individual rooms and common place for the optional (but excellent!breakfast. Great location for us, walkable to the arts centre and the waterfront/fitness trail.
MoreA very beautifully maintained gem. Bonus is the Sun Country EV charging facilities! Owner is easily reached by phone and super accommodating as we were arriving later than originally planned.
MoreAmazing inn, all you can expect from a hotel, but with the price and atmosphere of b&b. Changed towels and cleaned the room every day. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return when will be in the area.
MoreVery friendly and helpfull staff and good solid breakfast. But there is a railroad-bridge nearby which is noisy from time to time (even during the night). You can reach the harbour and some restaurants easily by food.
MoreWe picked this place out of a Google Search, and hit gold! Central to the town, walkable to most things, great accommodations. Nice room, good breakfast, good price - but the best part was "Jeff", the owner/manager. Hes a library of local knowledge, gave us great recommendations for everything we needed - where to launch, to where to dine, points of interest. The most helpful hotelier i could imagine! Definitely worth a stay. Hope well be back next year!
MoreOur room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. A great find near the waterfront. The occasional passing train didnt detract from the charm. The amiable owner greeted us personally!
MoreVery friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, was upgraded at no extra charge to larger room w private screened porch. Reasonable cost for room.Breakfast good - would definitely stay here again!
MoreWe have stayed at the Bayside Inn twice in the last 2 years. The staff have been very pleasant and helpful. When I say we I am referring to my spouse and I, our two daughters and our grandchildren. The rooms are very clean and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable. I believe all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The breakfast menu is delicious. We recommend the Bayside Inn as a quiet place to get a good nights sleep.
