Great food reasonably priced

Didnt pay for the chicken was refried not fresh. Spoke to the waitress the cook came out stated the chicken was fresh. Anyone can tell it was refried chicken crust was almost burnt. Husband ate the burger but was not impressed. He ate it just not to send it back. People that waitresses were very nice. The cook stated the greased probably needed to be changed... REALLY!!! The prices are already expense to eat out without this product.

Best seafood restaurant in Terrebonne parish. Better than Big Als . All food at Bayou Delight is great especially the seafood. Its worth it to go out of town to Bayou Black.

An authentic Cajun restaurant right on the Bayou Black. Down home cooking. You will not be disappointed by any item ordered. Everything is delicious. Great owner cook. Make sure and check out the residents located in the bayou behind the restaurant. Soft shell turtles, alligators, gar and various other marine life can be seen daily. Friday and Saturday local artists live music 🎶. They move the tables and make a little dance floor. Great family entertainment and great food! And you just might meet some new friends! Definitely visit if you are from out of town or bring your friends from out of town.

Staff very friendly and will go above and beyond very good food Ive been there multiple times and never eaten anything bad fried chicken is the best Ive tasted in a long time highly recommend very comfortable environment

Always a good place to eat. Amazing seafood dishes and fried chicken and shrimp. Today, one of the girls ha fried chicken livers and gizzard. They smelled AMAZING!!! She said they wereLots of food no matter what you order. And it is a real treat to see Lonnie when we go.

I got the crawfish etouffee and my wife got the crab cakes. We was extremely happy and it taste amazing! The bacon wrapped shrimp was also a great treat. We are definitely going to be going back again. It wasnt our first time and it will not be our last.

Prices are good but most of the food is fried and it can get a bit heavy. The place is quite old and not so clean. They didnt have alligator when we went but they offered to change it to oysters which were too strong in flavor. The attention was good and feels like its a family run business or something very local.

White bean and fried fish special was delicious and was served quickly.

Great Food and service, good music on Friday! Dont forget to tip waitress and the band.

VERY expensive restaurant! $20 bucks for an oyster platter! $16 bucks for a catfish platter! Sunday special: $13+ bucks for 2 pieces of chicken with rice dressing and(?fries! What is wrong with you people? Is everything getting scarce? Is everything you offer a "delicacy"? It is less expensive to dine at any other restaurant in the area! What a shame!

Stopped by for lunch on Sunday. There was a large crowd due to church getting out but they found me a booth and the food came out quickly. Delicious gumbo and the fried chicken was great. Definitely looking to come back, especially when they have live music Friday evenings. Prices were appropriate.

Great food, service, atmosphere! We love visiting here when in town. Its especially fun when Mike is playing. Highly recommended.

This place is great. We went with my family, a total of 6 of us, and had great service, as always. I got the fried chicken lunch special and it did not disappoint. Two pieces of white meat, green beans, dirty rice, potato salad and bread, all delicious. My hubs got the Fried Catfish and he loved his as well. We tried the frog legs my sister had and they were delicious. We love coming here and eating their delicious down home cooked food. Cant wait to come back for another great meal.

Its on the bayou and you can dine outside!!The owner is super friendly ♡I love to eat outside on the bayou and watch the gators, that come out to beg for some of my yummy catfish and white beans.Everything on the menu is so delicious and fresh.Its especially fun to go on the weekend when they have a little local band playing and the older locals cutting a rug.

Mask are required to enter, walk around and as you leave.Restaurant look clean. Bathroom was in working order and had all needed supplies.We arrived after the lunch rush so the dinner was nice for us to have the full attention of the waitress.The waitress was very helpful and friendly. We received our drinks, extra napkins, drinking straws, salt & pepper, etc. right away.Our appetizer came out fast. The onion rings had a great taste but were fried a little hard for my taste.Our meal came out fast also. I had fried shrimp dressed on a bun and was very pleased. The shrimp were fried much softer than the onion rings and I even got grilled onions on my sandwich.My sweet heart ordered fried gizzards with fries and was also pleased with his decision. The basket was really full of chicken gizzards.Time to pay and I asked about a military discount and was told that they only offer on certain times of the year.Our bill really wasnt that bad in cost.We also bought some homemade peanut butter fudge to take to a friend at her workplace.So all in all we will return.

This place is great. We had a large group come in and they were very accommodating. Food came out and was right for as big of group we had. The atmosphere fits the culture and community where it is located. Poboys were stuffed and seasoning all around was good.

First off they were out of over 1/2 there menus. No ice tea ,I ordered gumbo received it after all the food was brought out for our party of 4,with no spoon to eat it.After 20 minutes they asked how things were,still no spoon.After an additional 10 minutes they came and told me they had no potatoe salad to go with my now COLD gumbo.Fish and shrimp was dry.Did I mention we were the only customers in the building by now.Bill $64 ...save your money and time

Best fried seafood in Louisiana all their food is delicious, friendly & curtious staff. Live music on Friday nights. Beignets are fabulous better than cafe du monde.

Sat for 20 minutes and no one came to take my order. Two tables that came in after me had received their drinks and had their lunch orders taken. Couldnt wait any longer; I had to get back to work.

Go to Katie’s Cafe in New Orleans. Soup was bland and etoufee was alright. Wonderful service! Interior reminded me of my home state of Wisconsin.

Very highly recommend this restaurant. Down home atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, excellent variety on their menu and the food is well prepared and amazingly delicious. Their “Acadiana Sauce” is a perfect addition to any meal.Thank you Bayou Delight for the perfect dining experience after my daughter and I’s less than successful fishing trip on Tuesday, Feb. 4th. It was the perfect ending to a great day. We will be back and I will definitely recommend you to everyone I know.

The Crawfish Etouffee was excellent and the wifes hamburger steak was good. Enjoyed the live music and Mike even allowed me to play along with my upright bass on a few numbers.

I had not been to this restaurant in 27 years. Today was such a great. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we were only there for lunch. The waitresses were very friendly and accomodating. I will recommend this restaurant in the future.

Good place for dinner and dancing on Friday nights. Onion rings are out of this world. Tonight I had catfish, shrimp, salad, and stuffed potato it was all great. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. Good place for family to gather for a good meal.

Went there for the very 1st time today, Sorry we will not return,I wanted Roast Beef but the waitress said that it was sandwich roast beef NOT real Roast so I got the Hamburger on Bun, had no taste to it, Salt Shakers didn’t work, Husband had White Beans and Rice and Fried Fish, The White Beans were from a can and my burger tasted freezer burnt, We won’t be back!!!!!!

Im local and I find its a great place to eat and good price. Out of town people I recommend and during the summer time take the tour. See our wet lands and all of the different animal of South Louisiana

Nice local restaurant, also starting point of Anne Millers Son swamp tours. Cajun style dishes. We enjoyed lunch before a tour.

Very inconvenient to customers when a business allows customers who are not even present to order their chicken. Service takes forever. If you want the best chicken in town go to CeAna’s in Dulac. We waited a hour and then left after seeing tables who just sat down get their chicken immediately.

The servers did not have any interest to seat our party and the lady from behind the desk kindly greated us and seated us after standing by the door for about 4 mins. (I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t invisible. The servers did act like we was not there.I should have head out the door that very moment. Since it was out first time there, I was being considerate. It was 11 almost 12 and the place was not full but had a manageable amount of tables with guests. We did not order appetizers but we waited for a hour and never had our chicken and pasta on the table. Four parties came in after us and they were served their chicken in a timely manner. We still had no food at our table. We were treated unfairly from the very start. I do not consider this place to anyone. If you would like the best fried chicken and service, there’s a place in Dulac,La called CeAna’s and they have the most delicious fried chicken and the white and dark meat is cooked at the same time. So, the customers who order dark meat does not get served before you. Everyone’s order comes out just as it was placed.Also, CeAna’s has a beautiful bayou Grand Caillou that runs right behind it. You can even pull up in your boat.

Went on a Saturday around 6ish. Cajun music playing. It was a tad bit louder than I would have liked, but set a nice ambience. Very good chicken! The fried gator & the crab cakes were average. The employees were extremely friendly, like family. A deck in the back to watch the bayou, Gators, turtles, etc.

Food, weekend music, alligator tours and down home Cajun music. Let the good times roll here. Like being at home friendly service. Go out on the war and watch the alligators pass or stay.

Disappointing gumbo, which was broth, not rue. It was a skimpy portion, runny like soup, and the "green salad" was Iceberg lettuce chopped, also in lame portions. For the money, two orders of the gumbo/salad combo, an appetizer of hush puppies and ice tea....$34.00!!!! Soup and salad!!! Service was not friendly or welcoming. Wow!

My husband took me, two of my sisters, my brother-in-law, and my great-grand-daughter. We all enjoyed different items and the friendly service. We have been numerous times and they have been a couple of times. My sister requested that we take them again and it was a hit again

The food was good. The main food is seafood and cajun. Usually cajun music is played live on Friday and Saturday evenings, but it is slow they may not play the whole scheduled time. It is a local place, with regulars who attend the restaurant. It has a down home feeling. The staff is lovely and very helpful.

Better than average food. Not as rich or seasoned as I like. Portions are on the small side. Staff was friendly and timely. Dessert was a little expensive for the serving size but was very good. All in all, a good experience. I will be going back.

Food is great. Had the catfish poboy. Fish is tender and the fries are soft and hot. A little bit of a wait though (nothing excruciating).

It was quiet. My kids loved the food. Has good portions. Little pricey for what you get. Sometimes has live music. The service was nice but slow. Is visit it again.

I am from this area and when we want some home cooked food without doing it ourselves we go here. I had the shrimp Acadiana pasta and it was so good. DEFINITELY would recommend to a friend.

My wife and I was there for Sunday lunch but no one waited on us for approximately 15 minutes. I can understand being busy for lunch but we were there at 1:30PM and they didnt have a large crowd. Unfortunately we had to leave. The waitress was actually cleaning tables while we were sitting there waiting for someone to wait on us. She hadnt even taken our drink order. Sorry but service is also a basis for repeat custermers not just good food.

The service, food and music were excellent. They happen to have a one piece who sang classic old school country. Merle Haggaged, Hanks Williams just to name a few. Food was great as well, check it out worth the trip.

4.5 Stars. The place seems to pile up at 5pm (we came around 4:15). It seems to be a local joint for the people around the neighborhood who know each other. Waiter was nice and friendly and answered our questions about some of the food.For appetizer, we shared a cup of gumbo and some crawfish kickers (almost like stuffing with crawfish and deep-fried). It was a bit spicy and the remoulade sauce went well with it. The gumbo was pretty good. Not too spicy(which is good for those who dont like spicy stuff. hey they got tobasco too). My dad got the seafood platter and white beans. He says its the best place so far for white beans and catfish. The seafood platter came with a fried apple bite and it was perfect for me. More apple flavor than sugar. My mom had the soft-shell crab, which came with some sort of crab dip, which was good. I had the Shrimp Acadiana, which is huge shrimp with an acadian sauce. The acadian sauce had a small kick to it. and had little shrimp with it, almost leaning towards to a light cream sauce for pasta. The seafood breading leans towards the "Louisiana" fish fry brand.The downsides at this place is they dont have the hotsauce and ketchup on hand on the tables. You have to ask for it. When it was time to pay, we werent sure if we had to pay at table or at cashier (ended up being both. it was getting busy so I cant blame the waiter.)Overall, this was a pretty good experience. The scenery was nice outside and it felt like an old fashioned cajun home inside. Everyone was friendly. If you want a taste of cajun food, but sensitive to some spicy stuff, this would be the place to go. I felt this review deserves a round-off to 5 stars, despite the downsides ;Wish I could have time to stay for music night...

Never again. A few months ago, my family went here for the music on a Friday night. We show up and the AC for the whole place is out. It was really hot and uncomfortable inside. Our service was terrible. The kitchen was taking forever to send out orders. FINALLY after about 1 hour, our onion rings appetizer came out, which were really good. We continued to wait and wait, sweating, trying to entertain two small kids. We decided to just walk out and leave. We told the person at the front register what happened and they told us not to worry about paying for the appetizer. Half way to our car in the parking lot, we can hear the waitress behind us hollering at us as she runs from the restaurant. We figured she wanted to apologize. But no, she wanted to make sure we didnt walk out on paying for the onion rings. Because that $4.50 was more important than attempting to apologize for what happened and to attempt to get us to consider going back. No thanks.
