Bay Kebabs - Kebab Shop in Byron Bay, Australia
Magnificent - not greasy, thin bread, toasted to keep it warm but not so much that the salads are boiled #chefskiss
As a 20 year fan of Bay Kebabs, todays chicken Kebab was a shocker .Filled with chunks of raw onion , dry meat & nothingto the standard that I have had the pleasure of eating over many years .
Perfect customer service - friendly with a smile. Extra helpful with the food being fresh, hot and served in a reasonable amount of time for the amount of orders being placed at that time.Quality ingredients and cuts of meat. Would return again & again!Give the staff a bonus for such great service!
Amazing! 100% would recommend eating, drinking and working here🥰🤪☺️🚀🌞😎🤸🏽♀️💁🏽♀️💜💃🏽💐🦘❤️
Its an institution, only get your kebabs in The Bay from here
the greatest thing i’ve ever had in my existence im from adelaide and would go back to byron just for the chicken kebab… and the chips my goodness… outerworldly…
The ONLY place to eat kebabs in Byron. This place is an institution
Uhhh, best kebab I’ve ever had. Thank you!!!!
Best Chicken kebab I have had for a long time.
As good as ever...best kebab in the Bay.Consistently great.
Epic spot for a late night grab and go!Range to choose from and the staff are massively helpful and genuinely friendly.. Thanks squad!!
This place used to be good and locally owned.I’ve lived in Byron since I was born and after a surf or work it was my go to.Had a lamb kebab this evening it it was really small and just really bad.Lettuce was brown, tomatoes were acidic and on their way out, lamb wasn’t cooked and hardly any of it in there, to make it worse this is the third time in a row I’ve had a terrible kebab from this place (you know thought I’d give them a couple chances)I’m pretty ticked off that’s why I’m compelled to write this review. It’s also $18.20 for a kebab. They chuck an extra 20 cent on for a card surcharge, not cheap but these days the product certainly is.It’s not just myself either who’s off the joint, most of my mates have brushed it, and now me.Make yourself some eggs at home it’s more filling and a safer bet ha ha seriously.
Yes! Yes! Just go here, its reasonably priced and you actually get your moneys worth.
The food was delicious!Best veggie option in Byron bay, and the staff was very friendly.
Always coming back to this shop to have seafood kebab.Very great kebab shop with affordable price! Can’t miss it if you came to Byron bay :)
The food is great, and that employee Fletcher is very friendly and patient. Great representation of staff, definitely reccommend coming here
Nice kebabs, busy but worth the wait. Also close to beach suites so an easy dinner choice or a quick yummy snack.brilliant
I have to say... the pesto lamb kebab is one of the best I’ve ever had🤌🏼
Short wait time, menu clearly displayed, ordered a small chips with chicken salt and aioli - box was practically overflowing with chips! Great portion for low price, would definitely recommend.
It was good vege kebab we had. Usually vege kebabs are boring but here they made it really nice with varieties of things for vege kebabs.. if you are vegetarian go for this item as you won’t be disappointed.. enjoyed!
Best kebabs in town for the hungry traveler, choose your own fillings and delicious to eat in the park on the beach watching the ocean. Highly recommended
Legit the best snack pack I’ve ever had and they were super friendly despite being really busy
BEST KEBAB IN BYRON! fresh delicious fries and friendly staff the price is definitely worth it love your work guys!
Worst kebab centre in Byron bay.I ordered vegetarian and chicken falafel which was tasteless. We throw all items in bin.
Overpriced. Cold. Also found what looked to be a small stone in my felafel kebab unfortunately it wasn’t a diamond for the price I paid. U really need to go learn how to make a good kebab. Drop the price and double the business.
Huge serving and really good toppings/fillings for the kebab. We had a falafel kebab and a chicken snack pack, was enough for our family of four. The baklava was excellent too!
Definitely the best Kebabs 🥙 in Byron Bay. Nice and warm sooo delicious 😋
The kebab was colder than the middle of the antarctic in the dead of winter. The lamb was drier than ghandis flipflop after being worn to the sole after miles of walking. All I wanted was a succulent warm kebab on a rainy day in byron bay and my mouth felt defiled.
Located at centre of Byron Bay town, if you feel craving for food then this is the place you need to visit. Menu have plenty of options for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. Parking space available in and around the restaurant. Very friendly staff. If you are a kebab lover then this is a must visit place in Byron Bay.
This is hands down the best kebab place in Byron. Ive been staying in Ballina and travelled nearly everyday to try all of their kebabs and creative delicacies. Surprisingly, the notion of having a kebab at midnight has evolved for me - theyre packed till meat is falling out and yet theyre massively light. We had a couple of mates on the trip who literally ended up smashing a couple of kebabs on the same night and Im still struggling to finish the customised snack pack. So best joint in town for kebab, even though its in the midst of tinseltown/pompous places, the food does justice where they fail.
Went to order walked in was ignored for 2 minutes (no one else in shopthen was told won’t be long then after another 3 minutes lady yelled at me from across the shop ( I was standing at the cash registeracross another person who had walked in and started ordering from a male that worked there... you can understand I walked out muttering expletives. Don’t deserve business operating like this. Is it so hard to put one person just to do orders. So many businesses using covid as an excuse to ring and order before or sms... all not good customer service
On Friday 4th September at 5:30pm I had my first experience at Bay Kebabs ordering a combo chicken and lamb salad box. I dont know if I got unlucky due to the time of day, but the meat was cold, dry and lacking flavour. Cold enough that I would consider it hazardous as far as food safety goes. I guess after the lunch rush had finished the gyro flame had been turned right turn and the meat had gone cold on the outside and being early on in the dinner service I got served meat that tasted like cardboard. The tzatziki sauce was also disappointing having a lumpy unusual consistency. Its a shame because the service was friendly and the portion size very generous.
My kebab was really great.I tried the Chicken Avocado Bacon, so tasty and rich. Also Jake and his crew are really warm, kind and always smiling.Definitely recommended for some food love in town!
Kebab was ok but the fact that they were charging 150% more than every other kebab place in existence made it a little hard to swallow. Staff were nice but no smile can disguise the ridiculous price.
Lost their way a bit. Used to be a highlight BB visit. We were excited to try it the day we arrived. Unfortunately all 3 different types of kebabs were below par - sloppy, brown lettuce, dry meats and dry falafel.Thought we’d give it another go yesterday but same issues. It passes as an average kebab but no longer something special.
Cheddar cheese on a lamb halal snack pack is bloody awful. Soggy fries and drowned the lamb in so much garlic and chilli sauces (my 2 choices I couldnt taste the lamb at all, just sauce and cheddar cheese. In Melbourne it was my favorite meal on the weekend but i have not had a snack pack since this one.Myself and 2 girlfriends went there for snack packs at 2am on a Saturday and the chips were completely cold and soggy. Both girls were drunk but still threw their $15 snack packs in the bin.1/10 rating
Good quality kebab. Very generous portion. I mean it’s a kebab right so don’t expect a Michelin star meal! I would go back for a kebab fix. The chicken was ok but the vegetarian was actually really good.
Slapped together kebabs, very sloppy. Flavour is lacking, probably only good if youre tanked. Chips were thrown in the box, barely seasoned. Aioli was ok. Wont be coming back while in Byron
Best kebab I’ve ever had consistently!A must do for the kebab lover! I’ll be back ✔️✔️
Young Rick is a kabab making weapon! A robot sent from the future to make the world a better place one kebab at a time. I eat a lot of kebabs, this is the best kabab Ive ever had! Try the signature lamb with chips and house made aioli. Better than any of the restaurants in town :)
if you google "top 10 best things to do in Byron Bay" there are 10 things that could easily be replaced with "Getting a kebab from Bay Kebabs". If these guys opened when my fat gut begins rumbling for breakfast in the morning it would be 6 stars, but my piggy arse has to wait till 10am for the deliciousness that awaits. The staff are rad and and are super friendly and put a hell of a lot of other establishments to bed in regards to service wit ha smile and good vibe. Well done Bay Kebabs...outstanding performance...its a yes from me.
I want to give them 5/5 stars, but I need to go there more to get a good sampling of all the goodness on the menu. That aside, Ive been here maybe 3-5 times in the last 10 years and theyre always friendly, fresh and fast, more importantly the kebabs are delicious.
Best kebabs and for decent price. For a special treat have a bacon and egg roll for breakfast which comes in Arabic bread with salad and sauce. We were spending too much too quickly in the nearby restaurants but thankfully discovered this place.
You can turn any of the kebabs into a ‘snack pack’ swapping the wrap and salad to have your meat on top of chips. Winning. The lamb tasted freshly roasted at lunchtime which went great with the taziki. Friendly service.
Best Kebabs ever. Would not get one anywhere else. Been a local for 27 years and Ive never had one taste the same. Best crew too.!!! Hands down tasty. Salsa chicken 😍 Thanks guys keep it up
Used to work in a kebab shop, this is the best kebab ive had since I made my own. Kebab was toasted to perfection, Awesome menu, Friendly staff and the best quality ingredients ive seen in a kebab shop (unlike most other kebab shops that undercook their meat, dont toast the kebab long enough and stuff the kebab with lettuce). You can really taste the difference in quality when you try these kebabs compared to other kebab shops especially in regards to the chicken and lamb. Got the Bacon, Avo, Pineapple Chicken Kebab and was not disappointed, so tasty. Next time im in Byron ill definitely be getting another at least. Partner got Pesto Kebab and was very happy with it too. This place is the best kebab shop youll find in all of SEQ and NENSW. Absolute Quality.
We drive here from the Sunshine Coast....just to eat these kebabs. Weve done every kebab place and Bay Kebabs are the best. Just had 3 and took a couple takeaway for our 3 hour drive home. 👍 Cant beat the Classic Lamb. Thanks guys
Had 3 in 24 hours ...absolutely awesome, super fresh, super tasty ..essential visit if youre in Byron Bay ...I recommend the Oz kebab and the Salsa kebab
Service is decent but the kebabs are terrible. Completely flavourless. Dont think there was even salt or pepper on the chicken. Ive eaten some great kebabs in Sydneys west but this was worst Ive ever had.
The kebabs are so average, literally nothing special about bay kababs. The staff are very cool and are always friendly another really good thing is that they stay open till pretty late. Still their kababs definitely need improvement for example they should mix the salads and meat within the kabab.
