Its good place to stay. Located in a small island in the lagoon.

This is "The Hotel" of Batticaloa. Located in a beautiful place facing the lagoon. Ample space for guests. The pool is quite good. Rooms and their facilities are great. However food is a bit below the standard but they can improve for sure. Anyway we had a nice experience as a group of 15 people went for a wedding at the same location .

The hotel is located in front of the lagoon. Its a nice location and has calm environment. I stayed at a room opposite side to the lagoon. But it may be better view if you get a lagoon view room. The location is very convenient. Easily you can come from the Batticaloa railway station just 1km. Meals are delicious. I recommend the meal that I had for dinner. It was grild chicken with boild vegetables.

Worst experience in a wedding. Went for a wedding reception of my friend. It was planned to have around 400 guests. We went around 1.30pm. Food was finished at the main buffet. A big line was waiting for dessert. I saw hardly any service men inside the hall. Eventhough the hall was Royal and elegant, the service is not worth for a penny. Used Plates were not removed from the table on time. Most of the tables were full of used vessel. No drinking water or welcome drink provided for late comers. No one to supervise what is happening inside the hall. Around 5 to 6 servicemen running here and there without any idea of whats going on. Used linens and used glasses were dumped on thr tables and no one cares about removing it and placing new things for the new guests. If they charge 3500rs plus tax per plate, what is the guaranteed service they are provinding?. Utter waste of money for a so called Royal setup. Highly disappointed with the food and even it was not available close to end. Owner of this hotel need to change the administration who are actively doing something to be appreciated by guests. NOT WORTH FOR THE MONEY PAID.

One of the worst hotel and service. Booked Royal ballroom for wedding. The food taste horrible, they only on the AC when the function starts and the hall was boiling hot after the wedding couple came the AC was on and by 10 they off the AC and while still the couple was on the stage they started removing the table cloth and arranging. The chair cloth was dirty and staine patches. The honeymoon room was not ready and when I went to the room the AC was not working no, bath towels, face towels in the toilet. Finally they offered a smaller room and the honeymoon couple had to be moved to a normal AC room and after blasting the room service they just did a spread and sprinkled flowers. I could type more cause so many things happened but its a waste of time. They will never change.

Located near the Batticaloa Lagoon.Can see the Sun Rise☀️ in the morning from your room balcony & it is very beautiful.But the customer service is very awful & not satisfied.There are only few foods in the menu and cant order what you like to eat.

The popular and biggest hotel in the Batticaloa town.There is no any biggest hotel available in Batticaloa town campare to east lagoon so u can choose this one.The environment is beautiful lake view. Food and liquor are bit expensive..They taken more time to supply If you order anything food or bites.Rooms are good neat.

The outside is so beautiful, I did not get a chance to go in because there was a function but sitting area outside is awesome.

East Lagoon hotel is one of the best hotel in Batticaloa. This is a two star hotel situated in a beautiful location. For Wedding functions, conferences and any other events this is a good place to conduct. In the evening you can sip your tea sitting closer to the lagoon and enjoy the natural breeze of the Batticaloa lagoon.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The washrooms were clean. Great location. We had dinner and breakfast. Staff are helpful. I would definitely recommend this for business trips or family vacations. Reasonably priced.

Really terrible services. We never met these kinds of staffs. They wanna rob us by charging photographs which are taken by us by our camera. They told us it was a hotel statement, you guys have to pay $10 per photo. It was unreal. Foods are disgusting, Nasty rooms.We never met this kind of experience, after that we get to know. The management was totally new and the way of treating customers was horrible. Really poor as the rating, Honestly if its below 1 star. I definitely go with it for rating this hotel.

Really unhealthy food made with recycled ingredients. Nasty rooms not cleaned probably, they dont even clean the washroom.Air condition and water supplies are really poor. And the swimming pool is also really small, honestly for kids full of nasty water cleaned with chemicals. Honest review with personal experinces.

The Best luxury Hotel in the Batticloa. This is situated in the Batticaloa lagoon. There ia an amzing sea view in the morning and evening. comfortable & luxury rooms available with many packages. Foods also Delicious. Super customer service is providing well trained and friendly staffs are there. There are 2 comfortable conference halls also. Seperate Restutarnt is there and have facilies to take outdoor lunch under summer huts with amazing sea view. Highly recccomend for Parties, Official events, weekends and all.

Hotel East Lagoon is the one of the luxurious Hotel in Batticaloa , nice view specially the ocean view was just as amazing as their hotel ! The food was great as well and the staff were friendly too.Nice place to have an outdoor dinner. Also can consume liquor. But the price is high. Wedding hall is looking grand, The pools and the Rooms are very clean. Best place to chill out with friends

One of the best hotels in Batticaloa. Friendly staff and very good service. Good food and they serve food even if you get late for the buffet. Tea is a must try.Rooms and wash your rooms are very clean.

Food at buffet very average. No variety fir people who don’t eat thosI pittu and other Tamil food. We ended up having string hoppers for all the days at the hotel. Service is very poor waiters stand and chat whilst guest are helping themselves. From the last time we stayed here the service has dropped badly. We only stay in town because of having to see relatives otherwise we would be staying in passikuda . This time will be our last time at east lagoon. If you guys want customers get your act together. Even the rooms need cleaning and more toiletries.

The rooms look awesome... but the AC IS TERRIBLE... it’s just the blower.. even after reducing it to 16 we still have to sleep with our fans on... rest is ok... there was no corn flakes which is a must for breakfast..

A hotel located in a lagoon. Nice environment for a family or gathering for a party. Outdoor seating including tables are available along the lagoon. You can take your meals including liquor in this lagoon environment. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Foods are not bad. Indian food items are delicious. Fishing could be seen nearby hotel. Receptionist isnt try to smile with guests.

A good experience! Was looking for the famous singing fishes! Disappointing not being able to listen to their song! 😑 overall was a good experience. They have a good restaurant and they can give you the goodies of that region. Enjoyed my stay!

This place really have a good bouquet hall. Their food is ok quality but not so great. The view and other stuffs are amazing . It is a good choice for foreigners to stay there. suitable for the business meetings. Price is little bit expensive. I think cleanliness is a bit issue here. They have poor hospitality.

View for a sunset & sunrise were too good. Also the seating styles for them at outdoors are pretty cool. Pool is too small for a swim. Room services are slow. Had to wait around 30mins for an iron box(maybe they have only 1iron box or so)

One of the best hotels in Batticaloa town area. Lovely view of the lagoon and in the evenings you might also spot fishermen going about their business if dine in the huts along the lagoon. Customers service is average. Good spacious rooms on the main wing. Food quality is good.

One of the best luxury hotel in Batticaloa! The rooms are absolutely great and the price also affordable! They have private car parking, Cafeteria, Bar. Pool, Walking place, Banquet hall and almost everything!We stayed there for a night! We asked extra sugar packets and they refused to give us! even we are willing to pay for it! Bit, dissapointed in the way they treated us.
