One of best place to be.

One of the many parts of Haiti that are magically beautiful. Jacmel is home to my beautiful grandmother who raised me. I visited Bassin Bleu a few years back, it was such a memorable experience. I was in the water, and I started to vocally reflect on how the place reminds me of the song "Ayiti Cherie" (Haiti my love), while I stated that a group of guys started to sing that song to me. It was a beautiful experience. Haiti has a lot of work to be done but I can attest there is much beauty.

Difficult to get to but worth it in the end. Things to note: difficult to find on your own especially if you do not speak French or Creole; terrible roads; asking for directions is useless, you actually need to get a local person to show you the way and expect to pay for the service; Consider doing a Tour to Basin Blue instead; You will need a guide, arrange price before you begin the journey to the falls; wear comfortable shoes with good grip; you will be crossing water

I was here in mid January 2019 it was absolutely awesome makes you think your in some tropical rain forest... If I have a half a chance I would like to go there again but Im from North East Texas so cant go there every week 😉

It definitely worth the trip from Jacmel. I took a 40 mins moto (motorcycle ride). It costs around 250 G. The water is gorgeous blue.

Be careful in this place , especially for the guide , if you see anyones helping you , ask him what does he want ? If not they will ask for money even that they didnt announce themselves as guides , theyll probably read what already marked to you on the rocks , its more like a reading lesson be careful

Loved the hike up the multiple bassins. The last one you swim in is breathe taking. The water is cool and refreshing. If you can swim just off the rock...Just Do It! #TravelWMeNow

Very beautiful place, would recommend it to anyone local or foreign. The water is so blue, really deserve its name “Bassin Bleu”. On top of it, it’s affordable. We get a guide to take us there, they got safety vest for those that are not good swimmers. We enjoyed the walking and hiking part to get to the main waterfall. Come experience it for yourself

One of the very nice place in Haiti.

This is a fun trip is you are ever in Southeast Haiti. It is about an hour drive outside of Jacmel through the hills and along some mountains. You will definitely get hit up by the guides for some extra money despite paying ahead of time. There is opportunity to jump off a waterfall if you should so choose. No food or drinks along the way, but there are drinks at the top and entrance to the attraction. Be prepared to walk on very uneven terrain, rock climb down without harnesses, and cross creeks and rivers that can be flowing fast. It is not recommended for less able bodied individuals. This is not ADA accessible.

It’s a one time see in Haiti! You will be hassled by Locals that want money. There’s an official park fee to be paid. Anything more is up to you but they’ll insist on a guide for about 500 gourds

Still a work in progress. Beware for hidden fees. The area itself was beautiful and the hike short. The experience is about 3 pools before you get to the fountain.

Deep blue pools of beauty and bliss. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful navigating the trail. They helped take our phones/cameras across the water too! We jumped off a waterfall, swam in three different pools of water and had a blast. No need to spend hours and hours here. You may need a guide to get you to the village first. Totally worth it!

Bassin Bleu of Jacmel offers a gorgeous view of the bay and of the City of Jacmel. I really love the beauty of the nature and the waterfall above the three bassins. By far the most beautiful must be accomplished with a rope. It offers a most enjoyable swim.

Its a long drive to get there and the road is rough. When we got there the nice guide told us it would be a 10 mn walk to the falls. It wasnt... Its quite a walk and its very slippery so you need to bring the appropriate footwear and your sense of adventure. Once we got there we found out that the drive and the trek were worth it. IT. IS. BEAUTIFUL. the only downside was that it rained the night before so the water wasnt blue. But we had a great time!!

Such an amazing place!! The views on the drive up are incredible, the hike is beautiful, and the water is so gorgeous and refreshing. Our guides Mackenzie & Luckson were the best! They picked fruit for us to try while we were hiking and they helped us across the slippery spots. We purchased fresh coconut once we got to the last waterfall and it was delicious! Make sure you ask about the mermaids that live in the waterfall. There is a store at the beginning of the hike that sells beautiful art. This place is a must see if you are in the area!

Beautiful place to visit, first to do list if you going for the first time when you get to the parking where you live your car to walk, you should hire a guide youll find them very easy they all over the place in they can swim. Beware 1st bassin and 3rd bassin is 75 feet deep if you dont know how to swim stay away from them..
