Poor quality, small portion & expensive. Only the sitting area is nice but too bad they dont clean the tables.

Been eating here for years. Always fresh and delicious. Service is always friendly.

Awesome food, both quality and quantity, very friendly staff, the owner gave me free baklava for dessert.

Food was overpriced and NOT fresh, not to mention the tiny portion!There are many other places to enjoy better quality and better prices.Washroom is dirty as well :(Not Recommended!

Used to be my favourite place and have been going there for over 30+ years. But this last time the food was not great nor the experience just feeling disappointed 😞

Disgusting every thing was dry and greasy we took one bite and left it. Chicken schwarma platter $20 thrown away. Additionally, both my husband and I are allergic to cats our eyes started itching.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this was terrible. Pita was dry and stale, chicken shwarma meat was similarly dry. Service was slow even though it wasnt particularly busy and staff seemed completely uninterested in what they were doing. I hope it was just an off night, but it was not good. I ate maybe a third of my meal, threw the rest away and found somewhere else to eat.

My favourite place for shawarma. A run down facility, but the food is always excellent

Try having the meat or chicken only without any sauces or any carbs.. you will realize how poor quality the chicken and beef is , as well pricing only protein added up to 45$ for 2 persons.. never again..

We are not the kind of family that throws away food but this place made it happen… Stay away please food was disgusting. The pictures on the menu look amazing but reality is completely different. We have ordered quite a few plates and non of them were good. The quality of the food was very poor, overcooked and dry AND NOT FRESH.

Stale dry meat, stale hard rice, moldy vegetables, terrible packaging. I rarely throw away food but this was not edible, even hazardous.

Ive tried various poutines as a visitor in Montreal and I have to say I love what he has done here.he mixes chicken beef and cheese into the poutine with gravy and hot sauce. Definitely an authentic poutine with its own kick to it. Good job! Enjoyed every bite. ! If my dad made a poutine. He would exactly do it like this !

Stopped here at random. Tried the poutine while my partner had a shawarma. The shawarma was so small and flavorless. The poutine was fairly gross. I couldnt even eat it. I tried and then had to leave it on the table.

Dont ever order from this place. Youre throwing away your money. We ordered $75 worth of shawarma and it was absolutely horrid. The pita was stale and crumbly, the chicken and beef dry as a bone and the pickles were soggy and tasteless. Perhaps the fact that its next to a massage parlor makes a difference to the food quality? I dont know but stay as far away from this place as you can. It should be closed down in my opinion.

Update: 1 star as compared to 4 star before.The staff are amazing to deal with but this time we had interaction with the owner and it all went down from there. 20 years of experience at this hotel went down from 5 star to 1 star. We ordered for 6 people and the restaurant was not busy and we had maybe 3 people waiting behind us. The owner was very rude and had us rushing throughout the entire order and did not ask what we wanted to add or not add in our plate and shawarma wrap. He pretty much decided what to add in shwarma wrap handed it to us. What someone is allergic or something or had strong reactions to it?Would not visit this again after 20 years of loving it just because of the owner. I cant express how sad this makes and wishing we never got to see the owner and his disrespect to the entire family as we stood in shock.Older review:I may be a lil biased towards this place but we always came here as family since 15 years or more and then moved to Toronto but have been visiting this place everytime visiting Toronto

The worst food that I have .Ever had in my life. The food wasnt fresh, At first I ordered kabab and the guy tried to give me frozen kabab which is unusual in the mediterranean restaurants, right away I told him change my order. When I got chicken shawarma on plate the food was disgusting especially the fried potato in the plate and salad looked more than a week old.Your restaurant is in the most beautiful city in the world and Canada specifically you are in downtown of the city of Montreal. You should have better food taste and with fresh food. I feel I just waste my time and money in the restaurant. One start just for the view not for the food!

Very bad experiance, probably the worst lebanese restaurant in Montreal : chicken was dry and reheated, probably from the day before. Potatoes hard and not cooked 🤢🤮never again!

Honestly, given the atmosphere, one would think they would have great food. Once you get their food reality hits you hard that their food is garbage. One of the worst Lebanese foods that I have Eaten. To top it all off , their customer service is terrible. The cashier kept asking us to hurry up and ended up serving us cold food. Would definitely not recommend to anyone

I placed an order through the Ritual app around 12:45pm. It said it would be ready by 1PM. I arrived at 1:10PM to pick up my order (already paid). The order was NOT ready when I got there. There was no one waiting in line, no other orders. The person behind the counter which I believe was the owner said he prefers to prepare the meals "fresh" and started yelling "if you dont want to eat here, Ill refund you". He was extremely rude and lacks customer service. I would rate it no stars if I could. If youre reading this, avoid at all cost unless you like to be yelled at.

As always, Basha is the best Lebanese food.....the choice of Salad is appealing and all the salads are undeniably yummy and great.....I prefer the mango and beetroot salads personally, and Ive seen mango salad only here for Lebanese restaurants.....yeah, the space some may say is a bit less spaceous but I never got a problem to find seats.....the waiters are smiling, quick and patient, they explained to me my options and the different plates in details...the cashier is always smiling and very beautiful..... fabulous restaurant

Heartfelt care.I had ordered the lamb chops which takes a while to prepare. This is for obvious reasons.The man who was preparing my meal had accidentally dropped my food, BUT he was exceptionally apologetic, and had more than made up for his accident. Great guy!The food was very very close to traditional food.The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Dungeness and a bit scary entrance.

The food was very low quality. Meat was bland and dry. Kofta was burnt but worse it had very strange smell and tasted like a mystery meat which made it impossible for us to eat. The street view from the second street is nice.

Avoid at all cost! Taking the time to write just to advise everyone of bad quality of food. I never write reviews but twice I went and both times the food was old and stale. Please don’t eat the food, you will get sick.

Its really not what it use to be. I was introduced to Lebanese food 24 years ago and it has since been part of my routine. Tonight, the place was dead (only three customers over an hour). They barely give you mayo, dont give you hummus and they no longer have the marinated hot peppers. Rice wasnt that great and potatoes too salty. Last time I went there, a few years ago, I remember not enjoying my experience also. Ah well, its too bad!

Proportions were big, price was a bit high for a downtown place. Food was really good but the meat and chicken was dry. I assume it is better to eat dinner over there .

Its a Bashas right under a Nuru Massage parlor. I assume some people eat here before or after their tug. I find this pretty funny.As for the food: its what you expect from Bashas. The chicken was good, as were the potatoes and the hummus.The falafel wasnt fresh but that is always the case with these places. I would come here for a quick bite to eat again any time but I really like Lebanese food.

I would give zero stars. I didn’t know someone could screw up so badly a sharwama plate. Unfresh meat, no seasoning and mushy “garlic” potatoes.First and last time eating at this place. To top this, extremely arrogant customer service and unnecessary comments (except the lady at the cash). Go walk an extra mile and get yourself a proper plate at Boustan.

The custumer service was good but the food was a little disappointing. The chicken was dry and the potatoes werent very warm. The place itself seems like it has an interesting story to tell though with the shutdown electric stairs and the weird cave-like ceiling.

Terrible place.Montreal restaurant with the most health violations in the last 3 years - according to CBC.CA.I went here on a Monday evening 7 pm in mid December. My first hint should have been that the place was completely empty. I was the only customer at this time. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma trio. The guy was mopping the floors. Later when I thought back, I didn’t see him wash his hands prior to serving me. The grill which had the shawarma meat on it was turned off. He turned it on and barely waited 15 seconds before proceeding to make my shawrma. He also did not put on gloves while making the shawarma. When the shawarma was finally ready, it was the size of my fist. Accompanied with a small serving of potatoes and a small sized drink, it came up to $11. I should have just gone to a mcdonalds and ordered fish filet. Then as I was eating my food (which was cold, as expected), he started mopping the floor around the table where I was sitting. I quickly ate my food which was far from appetizing, as I could not take the smell of dirty mop water over my meal. Later on, I started feeling queasy. I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night to start throwing up for a good half hour. The next day was spent feeling nauseous and queasy. I shouldn’t have been surprised given the 3 health violations I saw in the brief 15 minutes that I was there. My fault for not saying anything and not walking out at seeing his complete lack concern for health and hygiene.Do your health a favour and avoid this place at all costs. You can go to any other place within a 2 min walk and find something better. Shockingly bad.

I love this Lebanese cuisine. I always eat too much but I cant help myself from ordering extra stuff. Generous plates, good service and decent price. The decor is in need of love, old wobbly tables and chairs could be improved. Also, why where they boxes stored in the dining room? I like to sit at a window for the second floor view over St-Catherine Street.

The customer service is good but the food just isn’t. Flavorless unseasoned chicken and beef, over cooked potatoes and soggy veggies. The bread quality is so low the paper stuck to the bread! Would not recommend.

Located in the first floor and a great view of Saint-Catherine street, you can enjoy good food.

The young woman working there Friday night (around 7served the cash while taking customers and not washing her hands in between (no gloves!Very disrespectful and should be sticking at the cash. With 2 workers there I couldve waited till the other worker was done serving the client in front of me. Didnt want to complain in person because my friend was scared she would spit in our food lol. Apparently Im not the first one to complain as Ive read the other reviews tonight. Dry chicken tasted like i broke a tooth (very similar comments below). The worker was also super rude. Will not be returning, sorry! Please save your money and go else place! Boustan or Charlies need to buy these guys out!

Im sorry but this basha has to close down. I couldnt finish my shawarma sandwich, i almost vomitted. The meat is not fresh.. now few hours later and Im sick,my head is spinning from this place. In addition to this,the place is dirty,the escalator doesnt work,the bathroom door doesnt lock, and on top of that, the cashier didnt appreciate the fact that I didnt leave a tip..

This place is probably the wort fast food that I have been to in the last 10 years. First of all the customer service is awful and the workers are extremely rude. When I asked him to fill the water container at the beginning he rudely refused!. The food was not fresh and didnt taste good. I ordered one sprite drink but it really didnt taste like sprite as it was too sweet probably have been mixed with something else. Finally when I protested him about these issues, the worker started following us and insulating. Never seen this before in Canada! These guys want to operate their business like they do in a village in Lebanon. I do not recommend this place at all.

Depending on which man is behind the counter, I will have a more polite and attentive service. The food is good quality and okay quantity for the price charged. Relax atmosphere all in all too. A little note I rather listen to Lebanese music than Mexican music in the restaurant.

Weve been on the other Basha restaurant (beside Sports Expert shopand the meal tastes amazing. We had Kafta kabab & chicken with rice and salad. The atmosphere and the decoration was wonderful. Not a high class or luxurious place to have a romantic place but something to enjoy your time and your meal

This place is an institution, especially for college students down-town. The food is tasty and cheap, but not particularly good quality. This is the place you go when you just want something to eat.

The worst basha in all Montreal. The food quality is poor and I got a hair in the chicken meal and really bad customer service. Definitely Ill never repeat the experience

It doesnt look like much, but the shewarma pita sandwiches are... wow. Prices are very decent as well. If you like Mediterranean, I wholeheartedly recommend.
