Bark Du Lac Dog Park - Dog park in Lake Charles, United States
Very clean and spacious dogs had a blast
Nice dog park with plenty of space, and amenities.
Nice & clean cared for dog park. Friendly people on each visit. Water fountain for dogs work correctly & poo bags & waste containers available. Park backs up to Lake Charles Police dept. facilities & walking distance to downtown..
Nice little dog park conveniently located downtown, usually not too busy and has a fenced in area with plenty of room to play and areas for waste pickup and disposal. Nive to have an area where pups can run and play, just be mindful of other people letting their dogs off leash (most owners weve met have kept a good eye on their pups though)
You have to be careful with unsupervised areas when bringing your dog for an outing
This is a nice little park with separate play areas for big and little dogs. Plenty of clean up bags and water fountains in each area.
Its nice to have a place to let your dogs run but apparently not everyone cleans up after their dogs.
Great place to bring your dog
This has been a wonderful addition to downtown Lake Charles.
A safe and secure place for your dogs to run around leash free and meet other dogs.
Yoki loved the dog park. It was a great place for her to socialize and play.
Needs more seating in play area for people to sit and wait on their fur babies
Very cute! Tons of shade and well-manicured. Everyone with a furbuddy should definitely stop by!
Nice little dog park. It was our first time here and we really enjoyed it.
Great park! The dogs love it.
Nice place for dogs to run. Needs more parking areas especially for people with handicaps..
Very nice clean like to bring my granddaughters there
No grass. Muddy when it rains. Not very well taken care of by city. Plenty of people go there. Parish parks have more grass but no shade.
Overall, this park is great. Its large and shaded. Only thing is I wish there was more grass.
Very small dog bark but it serves its purpose
Nice park for the dogs to socialize. Large and small dogs are separated.
Sadly people are trashing the park. Last week someone had smeared dog poop on one of the benches. Today the sign about the rules of the park had been torn down. Cigarette butts on the ground (why arent there no smoking signs up? Hate to see that. Its a nice park. Shady and cool even in the summer.
Great place for your dogs to run around
Good Clean Dog Park... Well Maintained by the City....
My Toby Lee loves this park and all the new little friends he gets to meet everytime we go! I just love to watch him get so happy and excited everytime he realizes we are going to the doggy park to meet new friends!
Good space for my dog to run around but be careful there is a couple spots where your dog could possibly escape under the fence otherwise its all good.
The park design is nice, and my pup loves it. Wish people cleaned up after their dogs, though. Theres poop quite literally everywhere.
Wasn’t very impressed. It’s basically a big area of dirt with a little grass. I’d expect lot more being that this is a downtown “attraction”. Drive a little further and enjoy the dog park on lake street. Way better with far more for your furry friend to enjoy.
We found this gem late at night, so it was a perfect time for our anti-social dogs to run around in town. Its gated, free, natural escape with little baggies for when your good boy finally uses it; speaking of, its pretty clean and well-kept.
Clean,. convenient, but small and lacking canine entertainment
Great looking dog park, lots of shade. However, the parking signs were so confusing we couldnt figure out if it was legal to park on the street, So we didnt get to enjoy the nice park.
Seperate fenced in areas for small and big dogs. Several benches and a picnic table on each side. Water fountain for you and for dogs but beware in hot weather, it takes a minute to get cool water. Not much grass due to trees. Dont forget to bring a ball.
Best place to take your dog or dogs, to play. Everyone is friendly, prefect time to go is around 5 to 7.
Good view of the water perfect for all dogs any size
Great place to bring your dog, has a fountain for your dog, you and poop bags too
Seperate sides for small and large dogs. Water fountain for dogs! No agility equipment.
The grounds have a great deal if exposed sand which was being blown by the wind. There arent any obstacles or other things for the dogs to do. Nice park in a nice piece of downtown.
Its a nice park, but its kinda small, hardly any grass. It has a section for big dogs and a section for small dogs!!
Medium size dog park with water fountains for you and your pup.. its awesome.
I know of three dog parks in the area, this is my favorite once.
Nice place, but needs a bathing station. And something for the dogs to do.
Quiet, just an open field, lots of shade, and water for the dogs.
Spacious but no other dogs and I went a week straight. The area is just not very well maintained
Decent park with a water fountain for dogs and owners. No real parking
Great place for your dog to make new friends!
Will go back again! Perfect amount of space to play and no holes in the fence. They have 2 sections, one for Small dogs and the other for large dogs. Plenty of shade and benches to sit on.
We love this dog park and so does our fur baby
Fresh water and plenty of space to play for the pups, shaded benches for the parents, all around great time.
Small park right near the downtown area. Enough room to let them stretch there legs. People are really nice along with the dogs.
A very nice, shady place to bring your dog! Medium sized lot, theres a water fountain for dogs and humans. Unfortunately, no swimming area for the dogs.
