Bari Handcrafted Pizza - Pizza restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Bari Handcrafted Pizza in San Juan
Description
Privilege
Exceptional pizza and superior drinks. A little pricy for pizza and drinks. But a special occasion place for sure!
MoreReally pretty poor. Long wait for food, wrong food brought out and then it was cold. Large portions but quality pretty average. The waitress never asked if the food was OK. I would not go back
MoreThe service here is great! We went for dinner and then breakfast the following morning. Dinner was great but breakfast was an utter disappointment. Had to return an omelet bc it was so bad. It looked great though. The place is cute and the staff is great so its hard for me to write anything negative but Ive gotta be honest
MoreAbsolutely terrible experience at Bari. I will never go back. Ordered an omelette and repeatedly told the waiter not to put ham in it. Got the omelette and it was full of, you guessed it, ham. Waiter said to me “you don’t want it?” in a extremely rude tone. I requested that he tell the cook to make sure to be careful in the future. The waiter responded by tell me to keep my tone down because I repeated he tell the cook to be careful. If you have food allergies or faith based restrictions, avoid Bari.. They just don’t care and will give you attitude when THEY get your order wrong. Terrible. Unbelievable. SICKENING.
MoreWe had 30 min till leaving for the airport and they accommodated us quickly. The pizza was fantastic! We could tell the cheese was super fresh. Excellent place!
MoreService was good on a Friday afternoon. It was a really hot day and their salons AC was good after a long walk through Old San Juan. We stopped for a quilt bite to keep going. We ordered calamari rings and a large pizza for my family of 5. Portions were great and the price not that crazy for a turistic area.
MoreSorry. Not my place little too American. Nothing wrong with it just not what I was looking for. If you are into big portions and miss home food this is your place. American music American portions.
MoreThis place is awesome. By far, the best seafood pizza Ive ever tried. Definitely tasted like I was in Naguabo or Cabo Rojo eating seafood salad, but in a pizza🤤. We really liked the outdoor dining concept under a big tree. Nice local beer selection. Natural fruit smoothies are a must too.
MoreVisit Bari EVERYTIME we go to PR bc its the "go to" reliable place for food. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING you eat there is delicious!!!. Once again I had the pizza and this time I had the chicken soup bc my brother in law had it last time (loved it). It reminded me of my dads soup...and that says alot 👑. If youre in San juan looking for something to eat or drink, go to Bari...you will not regret it.
MoreThis is a hidden gem. The restaurant doesnt look like much from the street, however one you enter youll find the unique courtyard as well as an indoor section for eating. All members of my family ate well and were surprised with how big our plates were. Definitely a location Im revisiting in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷.
MoreI felt mixed emotions about this place:The good: food portions were massive! Food was freshly cooked, wasn’t packed at all on a Friday night and the server was a great combination of friendly and efficient. The bad: server kind of disappeared on us for a long time, all the meals were served at different times which didn’t allow the family to eat together, mosquito’s were killer INDOORS, prices were pretty high but expected for viejo San Juan (soup, plantains, garlic bread, pizza and two mealsapproximately $100 with tip.The ugly: bathrooms were horribly unclean and impossible for an adult female to sit down/squat to use the toilet! No hand soap, over flowing garbage, bad sewer smell and floor was dirty/sticky.
MoreI came to this place with high expectations given that it had great vegan/vegetarian options on the menu and seemed like a good choice. The place is nice looking and the bartender was polite. However, I left not being able to eat anything after the waitress was EXTREMELY rude, informing me that for every vegan option such as eggplant instead of chicken they charge an extra five dollars! Which was not specified on the menu. After telling her this, she just shrugged her shoulders and blamed it on the kitchen staff. There are plenty of more restaurants in San Juan with great customer service and excellent vegan/vegetarian food options, this? NOT one of them. Skip this place and do yourself a huge favor!
MoreDelicious pizza that was hit with adults and kids. Outdoor dining was great with a view bird visitors. Photo is chicken chicharron with rice and beans was crispy and well seasoned.
MoreGood food. Perfect for large parties
A bit tucked away. Dont let the chain deter you. Yes, its open. Great courtyard, although chairs can get a bit hard after a while. Our server, July, is the best. Friendly with a ready smile raking the best care of you.The menu offers a variety of dishes without it being overwhelming. We were with a group of three and all three dishes tasted great.
MoreA nice and chill restaurant that’s not too crowded. Food was great. Our server, Yuly was very attentive and welcoming.
MoreMe and my wife ate there and we had an amazing experience, the food was delicious (highly recommend a shrimp mofongoand we had a great waiter “July” who was humorous and attentive.
MoreDelicious pizza, mango mojito on another level, and reasonable prices. Dog-friendly, family environment. 100% recommended for locals and tourists.
MoreDelicious Pizza Judith was awesome best mango mojito ever, freshly cut from the tree.
MoreGood pizza. Nice seating area. Great service. Clean bathrooms with a changing table.
MoreGreat pizza in Old San Juan. Good drinks, especially Long Island!
It took a while to be seated but the gentleman that showed us to our table was very pleasant. The wait staff seemed... annoyed? The pizza was good, amenities were clean.
MoreExcellent place for some food and drinks. Great outdoor seating area and friendly staff.
MoreOne of the best things we’ve had while on the island. Stumbled in on a whim because it’s pizza right? Well it’s amazing pizza! Excellent staff and a great taste of PR. Definitely stop in for some unique pies
MoreThis place I didn’t want to leave… I felt right at home. The waiter was like Indiana Jones…. He was an Adventure. I want to go back soon just to sit on the same table with the same waiter to experience the same Great time I had with my little sister. We had pizza for 2 days at home it’s so big and large portions. I can only tell you.. it’s a “must go” to experience a “out of earth “ cozy and The Best Experience Ever…. I love this place!
MoreWe go often. Great menus. They also have delicious food. All employees are wonderful but Luis is our "querendon". Ask for Luis and he will take care of you nicely.
MoreOur waitress was great! She had a good sense of humor and was very helpful. I was craving some pizza and this place hit the spot.
MoreWe got seated in the outdoor back area which was peaceful and private. The drinks were good and very cheap compared to other popular places. The pizza and burgers were great and the service was good. Only downside was a few mosquitoes but if you sit in front of the fans they keep away. Highly recommend.
MoreGreat food, excellent service!! Large variety of drinks as well. Definitely coming back once we return to PR.
MoreThe food was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the wait for the food is longer than what’s expected, so give yourself time.
MoreYummy! Everything was amazing. And the best part was sitting outside on the patio area, under an umbrella and a cool fan. So peaceful.
MoreDelicious pizza! Had the parillada Argentina. Very flavorful food, excellent service. Cute courtyard to dine in.
MoreDelicious food and awesome atmosphere. It is a beautiful restaurant with great food. Cant beat it!
MoreI did not feel it fair to to give this a 5 star rating as we did not eat there. However we saw a lot of locals who appeared to be enjoying it immensely. The bar looked fun and it was decorated very nicely, in general, and for Christmas 🎄! Also it was a short walking distance to the port. We definitely plan on on making time to enjoy this lovely place next visit.
MoreAbsolutely a gem in Puerto Rico. Possibly some of the best pizza Ive ever had. My wife and I shared a Pesto Chicken pizza and were amazed at how delicious the pizza was. Great atmosphere. Staff super friendly and professional. Will visit again.
MoreWe had really excellent service from Liz and got our food and drinks in good time despite the whole city having no water. Everything we had was delicious. I had the Carne Frita with mofongo on the side and it was literally the best pork I have ever had; incredibly succulent with excellent flavor. We also got a meat lovers pizza which was delicious (and huge), and Bistec Encebollado with incredible beans and rice. Long island iced tea, frozen strawberry and frozen passion fruit daqueris were all refreshing and perfect. Cant go wrong here.
MoreIt was a abnormal day, in Old San Juan. The water was out in the city. The staff made the best of it, and served up great hospitality and food. Our waitress Liz was personable & knowledgeable. The drinks were spot on, & the food was delivered hot, delicious, and timely. Highly recommended.
MoreGreat service. The pizza flavor was delicious, and their drinks were well prepared and on point. The place atmosphere was nice. Good place to stop if youre hanging out in old San Juan near La Fortaleza.
MoreWe were pleasantly surprised by this place! The mofongo was fabulous, the broccoli pesto was wonderful & the salmon was delicious. If you like lemon, they have Lemon Daiquiris! Our waiter was also very gracious and had a great attitude. Very enjoyable experience. There was also a proper padded changing table for young-in’s in the women’s room, that seems rare in the area.
MoreThats the thing about old san juan, there are such cozy and artistic restaurants!Bari is one of them, super awesome with patio in the back.Nice and cozy setting in the middle of old san juan, dined there for the dinner and argentenian cheese pizza and cabernet.Definitely recommend, slow service though.
MoreAbsolutely stunningly amazing pizza and outdoor enjoyable environment! Great service! Highly recommended for the old-style trees on back patio environment combined with incredible food!
MoreIt’s been about a year since I ate here and I still feel the same way. This place is amazing. Can’t wait to go back to Puerto Rico so I can eat here again.
MoreThey make hand crafted pizza from scratch in a coal ovens. There is a great variety of pizza and drinks to choose from, all in a 500 year old building with great history and great architecture.
MoreHave to say we had the most amazing meal here. The pork chop was just amazing, crispy skin but the meat was still juicy, the beans are to die for, so much flavour. My husbands dish was also amazing, chicken schnitzel, topped with ham, tomato sauce, cheese and again so full of flavour.and the portions are generous so make sure youre hungry.Even the pizzas from the next table looked and smelt appetizing.Cute little courtyard dining out the back, great ambience and will definitely be returning again the next time were in San Juan.
MoreThe place is cute. We sat in the garden. It would be awesome during night with the lights.Had Calamari rings and desserts Tres leches and coconut Flan. They are soo good 😍👌.
MoreThe place looks beautiful. The customer service was excellent! The food taste amazing. Id recommend La Puertorriqeuña.
MoreForget the Pizza. Come here for brunch. Could not believe the portion size and the quality of the food. Incredible value for the price. Order the Veggie Omelette. You won’t be let down.
MoreExcellent pizza and hand crafted cocktails under a canopy of shade and served with smile by friendly staff. We even had a mango fresh off the tree served table side. The best mango I have ever eaten.
MoreGreat sangria and pizza. The courtyard is something you only see in movies! Price is ok 4 sangria and a pizza was 55.00 US. But the romance of this place is amazing! Hands down the best sangria in san Juan
MoreThe pizza is some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The slices were huge, and the small size is very big. The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced and it wasn’t too salty or overly flavored. Just how I like my pizza.
