Bareburger in Columbus

I ordered my burger medium-rare and it arrived very overcooked, to the point of being quite dry. The flavor of the toppings was wonderful, this burger would have been amazing if it was cooked properly. The pickle chips were also delicious, as were the fries. But I payed $18 for this burger, plus tip, this is an over 20 dollar burger. To overcook it this badly is unacceptable.

good sweet potato fries & also very unique decor. sadly also had dry, expensive burgers. so i guess it depends on why youre there .

I got the blt and even tho it had light mayo it was super super dry. The bacon was thick, but way too salty. Less salt, more mayo, it would have been a perfect sandwich, but the price was high for what it was.

We both had bison burgers that were cooked cooked exactly how we asked. The blue burger had an excellent strong blue cheese flavor. The garlic truffle aioli fries and the crispy brussel sprouts were DELICIOUS.

If you are gluten free, dont pass this place up! The vibes are so fun and service was excellent. The food was plentiful and although the burgers and sandwiches dont come with a side, you dont need one! This was an especially good experience because my aunt with celiac was able to enjoy a nice burger on a soft bun. The wait staff disclosed that they do tend to run out of the gf bread so call ahead.

Good chicken sandwiches, though a bit pricey. Bathrooms smelled like pee.

Most delicious build-your-own-burger Ive eaten in a while, friendly service, decent prices, nice atmosphere. Wasnt busy while we were there. Menu includes veggie and bison options to name a few. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries over the regular as the sweet ones didnt even need ketchup.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I have gluten and dairy allergies and struggle to find decent places to eat so Bareburger was an absolute dream come true for me! Staff was knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. My burger was the best Id had in Ohio hands down, the gluten free bun was sturdy, large, and tasty...thing things you usually dont find in gluten free buns. Menues were well laid out and easy to read. 10/10 will recommend to everyone.

The burger was good. The meat was little to lean for my taste. $17 was a ok price. But to switch out the sweet pickles to the dill pickles cost $4.00 more. Plus the gluten free bun was $1.75. Which a really good price. The bun tasted really good. So $22.75 for extra lean burger which thank goodness I ordered it medium rare made the burger moist. They had a lot of gluten free options. Which was really good for me. So over all it was good. The $4.00 for different pickles seemed a little high. Also maybe not so lean. Thank you for having the gluten free bun.

The sweet potato fries are the difference between three stars and four for me. The chicken sandwich was okay, the staff was pretty good, but I definitely liked the sweet potato fries.

this is an amazing dinner spot!!! so many gluten free choices and the asiago truffle fries were so delicious. havent been able to find GF fried chicken anywhere else, and it was wonderful! ❤

It is the Greatest Burger place EVER. They offer everything either GLUTEN FREE-CELIAC SAFE or regular. With my wife and son having celiac disease it makes it hard to find places safe for them to eat out at. This place is the safest place for them to eat at GLUTEN FREE. They have everything from fried chicken to burgers and fries all GLUTEN FREE. Even their sauces are incredible and celiac safe. Ill be stopping there every time Im in or passing through Columbus, hope you do too.

YHUM. Fun atmosphere! Great Burger! You can share an order of fries with your date and the blue burger was delicious.Perfect stop on a semi-cross country trip. You can walk to North Market from there if you are aiming to visit North Market the same day.

Service was meh. Food was meh. In our party of six everyone said their food wasnt anything to write home about. The Bison burger was just okay, the chicken was flavorless, the veggie patty was not good.For the price point of what we paid I expected better tasting food. Plus, who pays $4 for a 4oz jar of pickles that had maybe 20 pickles in it. That was disappointing as they didnt even taste that great.The two stars are because the sweet potato fries were actually good. Plus, they do have the vegan and gluten free options.

My first experience was excellent. We had the Greek salad with the impossible burger and sweet potato fries. Yummy!!! A little pricey but paying for good quality food is worth every penny.

So get this out of the way the food is good.The burgers were very good the fries were ok. The drinks were great. They have their own sodas which was cool and the prickly pear situation was a great cocktail. I loved the atmosphere. The menu was very robust and was good for our friend with food allergies. The staff was hella nice and wonderful. Took care of all our needs. Highly recommend this place if youre around and want a burger.

Horrible experience to say the least. My family and I had dinner over the weekend. After leaving we realized we had left a purse at the restaurant. We went back to retrieve it. Over $200 dollars was missing and a coin bag. What kind of establishment steals from customers? Stay away!

This place turned out to be absolutely wonderful. They had a really good selection of hamburgers and sandwiches, including fish and vegan options. My vegan burger was very tasty, as was the Southwest salad that I ordered to go with it. My husband confirmed the servers opinion that his was the best chicken in a sandwich that he has ever had. The prices were very, very reasonable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again whenever I have a chance.

We were very pleased with our lunch at Bareburger. I went with 4 kids and every left happy and full which is no small feat. I had time choosing among the options and eventually decided on the bison burger which was impressively flavorful. My very picky daughter who is gluten sensitive got the burger on a gluten free bun and proclaimed it was one of the best gluten free burgers shes had. Shes returned several times since then and never had left overs to take home.

Great service! Delicious options. The high quality beef was obvious with every bite. My cheese burger was called the standard but there was nothing standard about it. The flavor was epic! If I get back to Columbus I will definitely be returning to this establishment.

Really great turkey burger on lettuce wrap cooked to order. The sweet potato fries were also amazing. I really like that the booths are very private so you’re not disturbed by the people in the next booth and vice versa.

They were very slow.... We were told 30 minutes wait. Ended up waiting an hour. When we got seated they brought us water but never took out order. We waited another 15-20 minutes for them to take our order. Then waited another 20 minutes for our food. When they say sweet pickles thats literally what it is. Not fried just a half pint jar of sweet pickles. The sweet potato fries were amazing though. And the wrangler was very delicious. It is a higher paying restaurant. For all the time we waited it wasnt really worth it.

First time here... Things were good. The staff was nice and didnt rush us. Once we decided the orders arrived promptly and correctly. No one had any complaints about the quality or taste of their meals.Good place to go when you want a sit down burger and fries and dont mind paying a bit more for better quality

They are very allergen conscientious. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Even my allergy to garlic was accommodated with ease, which is rare to find at a restaurant.

The burgers here have, little if any gristle . Atmosphere is great for families, girls gathering, the guys hanging, just anyone. A must try for sure! Didn’t have a drink, but will update later.

Loved their gluten free fried chicken sandwich! Finger licking good. The fries were also good both regular and sweet potato. The pickles had to be purchased separately which was a little pricey and obscene. Which is for the 4 start. They were good though. Will go back.

Absolutely terrible... myself, my mom, wife and 6 month old were seated. Entire restaurant smelled like weed when you walked through the door. After 15 minutes of sitting in the booth and watching 3 waiters bypass us multiple times to take orders from tables who were seated AFTER US, we got up and left. Service was absolutely atrocious! Will never attempt to eat here again!

Excellent experience. The food choices were great! My supreme burger was cooked to perfection. The portions are definitely not skimpy. Service was quick. Friendly staff.

I loved this place! I am celiac and I felt very comfortable eating here. The server said they have many friers in the back dedicated to different things so there is no cross contamination. I had a buffalo fried chicken and fries! It was delicious and the first time I had a fried chicken sandwich at a restaurant in years! All of their fried chicken is battered in a gluten free chickpea batter. I would recommend to everyone I know this place was delicious 😋

Food was great. Burger had a really good flavor with excellent garnishes and bun. The fries and brussels sprouts were both excellent as well. Good beer selection and the one cocktail we tried was also awesome.

No stars deserved at all. We sat down at the bar, with one person already seated. There proceeded to be 6 other people who sat down next to us. The bartender never acknowledged us, asked us for water, or anything. Everyone else who sat down after us got drinks, and ordered their food before the bartender even acknowledged us. Finally, after about 20 minutes, the bartender comes over to us and asked if we were ready to place our order. I explained the above, and he only seem to have heard me say we placed an online order and told us to go to the back to pick up our food. We ended up placing an online order, and continued to wait another 45 minutes before our food came out. During that time, that same bartender walked by us multiple times and didn’t even ask us our names to check on our order. Poor service and I would not come back.

We arrived at 12:20 pm, we sat at the bar with one other person. More people kept arriving and we were not asked for drinks or given a menu. At 12:42 we placed an online order because we had waited so long. We then asked the bartender/waiter where we can pick up our online order since everyone else that was now sitting at the board got me yes, drinks, and their orders placed before us. He didn’t acknowledge us, he didn’t apologize, he simply said go to the back. We then waited 40 min for our online order.AWFUL SERVICE

I would like to be very clear that my issue is NOT with the fact the business was understaffed. My issue is with the poor service and the rude employees. The three of us sat at the bar, with only one other customer. The rest of the bar, began to fill and the bartender served every single person at the bar except for us. There was no greeting, no beverage offer and absolutely no acknowledgement. We had to flag the bartender down to ask for water. At this point it had been 30 minutes. We explained, calmly, to the bartender that we ordered our food online because he took so long to even offer us a drink. He then told us to ‘just go to the back’ to get our orders that we placed. No apology, no realizing that we were treated poorly and not trying to rectify the situation. There is absolutely no reason anyone should sit at a bar for 30 minutes and not even get a greeting from the employee. We are now almost at an hour and not one employee has offered to check in on our order, even though it was supposed to ready 20 minutes ago. They all just keep storming past us. We were treated so poorly by all employees today, that I will most definitely not return. It was definitely giving racist vibes and I can not and will not support this business in the future.

The food is always good here! My favorite is the roasted Brussels sprouts topped with grated cheese and a squeeze of lemon. I also love how they have keto-friendly, low-carb buns and all the toppings choices. Plus, the best milkshakes and vegan milkshakes in Columbus.

Ate here on a volleyball tournament in Columbus. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was really tasty! I loved my cheeseburger and my fries! One of my daughters is gluten free so she finally had a lot of options available and she loved her food! Our whole family loved our food and our service was great!! I liked the decorations and overall vibe too!

This place is amazing. Awesome staff, awesome food. These burgers are beyond gourmet for bar prices. The amount of topping choices will blow your mind, and this is probably THE BEST lemonade Ive ever had.

Found in The Columbus Short North and convenient for a bite to eat before going to the game or a night out. Plenty of options for all types of eating, vegan, gluten free and regular diets. Close to the North Market and parking garage. Stop in.

Good drinks and delicious food. Nice menu variety with some healthy and Vegan options.

Amazing quality food. My only issue is with the price. A burger can run $11-16 and that doesn’t include the $4 fries. You are full after the meal, which is great.

I will definitely be returning to Bareburger! the atmosphere is very unique and artsy. The staff is very helpful and very engerentic and kind. They have a wide variety of options on their menu, including many vegan options. The vegan mint oreo shake was amazing!!! (Especially with some gin in it).😉 French fries are so a big deal in our family, and theirs were delicious! I tried the Forager which had a very smoky bbq flavor. The next time I go Ill definitely have my eye on the Guadalupe burger, which sounded very fresh. My boyfriend, who is not vegan, also loved his meal!

My husband and I were recommended to try this place by a friend so we decided to take our friend from Japan here (well, we ordered to go, lol). We all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the Sweeet Bird chicken sammich with panko and a fried egg, fries, and the Smmmmores sundae. The sanwhich was unlike any chicken sandwich that Ive ever had before! It was sweet, savory, and juicy. 🍯🤤 Although, Im glad it was wrapped because it was a bit messy and sticky. 🤣 The smores sundae was good but definitely not worth $10.99. A frightful price for some Graham cracker pieces, ice cream, chocolate sauce, and marshmallow. 🤐 My husband ordered the Supreme cheeseburger with Applewood smoked bacon and onion rings. 🍔 He said his meal was tasty, flavored well, and a great portion size. 😊 My friend ordered the Farmstead (I didnt get a photo of her sandwichand she said she thoroughly enjoyed her food. Overall, I would definitely order from here again but I will be more mindful of the cost of some items. 🤑

Would absolutely recommend to a friend! Ate the burger so fast I didn’t have time to snap a picture! Definitely a hipster vibe from the place with thought provoking art and decor. The menu is huge and you can created virtually any burger you want. And for the vegans....yes, there are so many options, I felt spoiled with so many options. We fortunately ate there during a slow day for them so we had excellent service.It’s right across the street from the convention center, so skip the convention center food and check these guys out!

Good burger, loved the fries with queso and guacamole. But even tough I ordered the burger medium, it was served overcooked. Past well done. Which is a shame because otherwise I think it might have been an outstanding burger

Yum yum yum!!!! I am always searching for that delicious burger so when a friend mentioned Bareburger, I had to go check it out. Very awesome dining experience with funny photos lining the dining walls. I had to go with the classic American burger and it was delicious. The only reason why I’m not giving this place full marks is because I felt the burgers are just a tad overpriced especially when sides are separate orders as well.

This restaurant was suggested by a local, and once we made our way in, we understood why. The rustic look combined with the fresh smells of food being walked past us sold us (we were walking down the strip trying to decide which place to dine in).After being seated by the friendly hostess, our equally friendly waiter walked us through the menu, pointing out his own favorites to us.We had:•their in house soda•strawberry lemonade•fried brussel sprouts•the blazin burger•the bunion burger•a side of fundido fries•an ice cream cookieAll of these were delicious, properly cooked, and freshly made to order. Id have them all again, and recommend them to anyone visiting Columbus!

I got takeout from here and was beyond utterly disappointed.First of all, it took them forever to prepare the food. The onion rings were tough and rubbery, then the fries were dried out. The overpriced smoothie was TINY and tasted like the pre-made garbage served at cheap cafés.The burger was good, never had elk, but not good enough to make up for the rest of the bad experience. Maybe if I only bought the burger of the experience it would have been worth it?Waste of $20 worth of takeout. Never again will I come here. Dont waste your money on this junk.

One of the better burgers Ive had and different flavors and ingredients than your everyday joint. Place had a cool vibe too. You could tell the ingredients were fresher immediately by taste and by the fact that you dont feel disgusting two hours later. If you love burgers and want to try a new fresher spin, try this out. Will definitely be going back.

Great tasting food, healthy shakes, all organic, super friendly servers. Must-order sweet potato fries, and savory dipping sauces. Elk burgers are cooked to perfection.

We were in town for a conference across the street. Our hotel was in Short North among all of the highly acclaimed restaurants, however Bareburger was the only place we dined more than once. I tried the Blue Elk Burger and the Bison Burger, both were cooked perfectly, nice portions, great flavor. I also tried the pickled coleslaw which was a little different, but tastey. Their natural sodas were great (blueberry was the best). My fiance and I also split a banana foster shake and a flourless chocolate cake. Both were great.Atmosphere and service were all they should be...you could tell the road construction out front was impacting business.
