Great place for chicken with peri-peri sauce and lots of great sides. No tourist tax and reasonably priced. Mashed potatoes were very smooth and good. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Decor was modern and restaurant was very clean. Locals were here celebrating birthday parties, etc. with their friends and families.

Visited this place during the time they opened. It was quite decent. Probably the biggest piece of chicken you could have in the city.However on my recent visit, I got an undercooked chicken. Apparently other people have also been experiencing the same. Also their air conditioner on the top kept leaking water onto our table.

You like spicy food?? This is the best place in town to try some spicy chicken. You can choose the level of spicy.. nice if ambiance.. employees are very effective and good..

Great drinks

Service and food used to be decent when they opened. Right now, the service is poor. They dont always treat you bad. I guess they have terrible mood swings. When food is delivered it is treated like trash. For example, spring rolls are wrapped in tissue and by the time it is delivered it is soggy and disgusting. The rice is half inside the container and the other half in the paper bag. This is just one small example. The quantity of food is much lesser when you dine in and have it delivered. They take 45 minutes to deliver which is acceptable but when it reaches you, its plain cold and soggy and its all mixed up and dripping out of the container into the paperbag.

This is the South African response to Nandos. Quite popular. The lighting is better than most restaurants here, cos you can actually see what you are eating.Chicken feast. Some beef. Medium range prices, compared to other similar restaurants. Very tasty though.Takeaway & delivery available, but be warned: they charge 10% service charge, against regulations for these.

Best grilled chicken in town!

Horrible experiences.. not once but many times! Never order for delivery as it takes 1 hour 30 minutes to deliver and by the time the food arrives it is cold and soggy.

One of the best places to get a great grilled chicken in male. They have a variety of chilli hotness flavours. From mild to super hot. Service was excellent. The environment was pretty great as well. The only thing for me was the prices. If the prices were a LITTLE low I would go there couple of times every week. But I understand that from a business perspective. Overall would recommend this place 100 percent 😊

the reason is the chicken is good but the delivery is bad. because they do not give sauce and without sauce there is no barcelos no sauce no barcelos the person on the phone said no and refused any sauce for my family to eat

I asked to cancel this order after it was out for delivery for 1.5 hours. I received a chicken in a bag which looked like it had been sat on. Not really OK.

Best chicken place ever in Maldives. Love the burgers and the other options as well. Serves grilled chicken and this is the most healthiest option for me. Prices are not high and atmosphere is great for families and couples.

The chicken is really good. Got a variety of sauces too. They could introduce a hotter sauce, something like githeyo mirus sauce, for the people who like it extra hot. But personally, the flaming Peri is good enough for me.

Less than expected.Service was very slow. When ever I called the Waiters they were like wait for minute Ill come or im sending someone to your table. That was my first experience and I knew I was gonna waste my time and money for nothing. Food was ok nothing special considering the amount of price and the time your have to wait for the order. Also they never served me my drink and later I had to tell them to adjust my bill without drinks. People were comparing that place to nandos Im sorry to say nandos is way better than Barcelos. I have to admit design and place looks beautiful.

Albeit the very long wait, the food was excellent. Havent had chicken this good in Maldives for a very long time. With a great char on the skin, the meat was moist, succulent, and flavoured to near perfection. A 1/2 could be too big if youre​ not used to eating large portions.The staff who served were very friendly and well mannered.Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.In short; if you love chicken and have enough time to wait, this place is highly recommend.

Reserved table hours ago for a group waited 30 min, all went to better place.

Ordered the food.had to wait 30 minutes. Asked for peri peri when ordered but brought lemon tangy. When asked why the waiter said that they bring lemon tangy for all as ppl complain when the order is too hot.we accepted the reasoning as it was first time but then we see same waiter serving peri peri to other..then we new our order was mixed up and the waiter made up a bull story to justify the mixup..then the waiter came and told that they were out of vanilla ice cream so cannot serve vanilla milk shake..so we had to order chockolate milk shake. 65 bucks milkshake was not worth the cheap elephant house icecreams used. Environment is nice. Chicken was ok.

Accepts more customers than they can cater. Waited 1 and half hours for a burger and had to leave without the meal due to inability to estimate the time for delivery of food. They served burgers to customers who came after us but ignored our requests. Staff are smiling but unapologetic. Not recommended unless you have long hours to wait.

Only been open a few day, foods quick, simple and good.Normal size portions, very friendly service team.Once they have had more practice and keep the place clean and tidy, it will do well.
