We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary here and the staff gave me flowers ☺️. I’m vegan - but they have an diverse menu so there were many options for me. The food, wine and service were amazing. One of our new favorite restaurants

Super nice food! Nice location

Serving is not big enough for an infant let alone 2 adults. Was told to order the mezze for 2 adults, it all came out on 1 plate and it was about 60 francs . Flavour was below average, bread was stale and old. Avoid.

Great food! We had a pleasant time and the food was fresh with nice atmosphere. We felt the service was a little lacking to start, took some time to get the menus and there was nothing in English for tourists like us.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was really tasty. Do make reservation in advance, it gets booked fast!The tajine is a specialty here. Highly recommend.

Very good Place. As an italian i can Say very expensive but from a switzerland point of view price was right. Cous cous royale was eccellente with natural taste and a bit of Exotic flavour. I Will come back for sure.

We often go here and order the Mezze. They offer it daily and it is always so delicious. When I have a small craving, I often go there, looking forward to my meal, and am satisfied everytime. Hamid is so hospitable every time we come, smiling, and waves when we walk by.My only complaint is the woman is not always polite and is a bit cold to us. Its a bit of a pity from a customer service point of view as she recognizes us, but does not seem very welcoming when we stop by.We often order from there, recommend it to our friends, happy and smiling when are there, so we are a bit disappointed when we are not greeted warmly.Besides that, highly recommend!

Nice restaurant with very friendly staff and friendly owner. Also the food is great! To cook such tasty food with simple ingredients is a true skill. Reminded us of the good food we tasted in Morocco. Wines are also good and (mostlyfrom Morocco, which made us curious about them. We will definately come back next time we are in Luzern!

Loved the ambience and hospitality at Barbes. We dropped in suddenly and wanted to celebrate birthday. We were treated nicely and they made arrangements for a lovely birthday.Absolutely loved it and the interior decor were so cozy and beautiful.Totally recommend the place 😁

As a tourist and first time in this lovely city i found this place, there is only one word worth to describe it... I RECOMMEND IT.Food was amazing, polite staff and very hygienic facilities.

Tasty maroquin cuisine! The place is very cosy and the atmosphere absolutely nice. Staff is very friendly! The are few tables so booking is recommended. Remember to bring cash because credit cards are not accepted.

Tiny little restaurant with good food. Without reservation you will need luck to get a table. Usually quite busy.Difficult to get a parking spot closer by.

Nice staff and management. The owner friendly and with good humour. Seated and served (6persin the packed restaurant. Ate good meze and drunk good beer.

My friend and I had the most wonderful experience at Barbes. The host was very accommodating and helpful and the food was delicious. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as they are very busy, however it is worthwhile. Our wine, poulet au citron and couscous was beautiful and even the hummus with a generous serving of bread was lovely. Worth visiting when in Lucerne.

I loved all the food we ordered, portions are very small tho (specially the falafel they were so tiny but tasted so good). We ordered hummus, falafel, kefta, tabula (which has kuskus in itand chicken tajen. I don’t have a lot of knowledge of the moroccan food, but i liked what i ate. There isn’t a lot of tables inside so you might not have a place without reservation is busy time of the day. Service was okay and the lady was very nice. The menu isn’t in english but they were more than happy to translate. Definitely recommend this place.

Any memories you have of "original" Moroccan food will vanish when you visit Barbes. The falafels were nice but microscopic in size compared to what you get in Morocco and the baklava was excellent. The lady serving us was pleasant and courteous. The rest of the food is not worth writing about.The bill had a charge of 10 CHF for "Tap water" for 4 people. Contrary to the owners comments in previous posts, we were not told about it and given no explanation. In Switzerland, where there is abundant clean water, to charge for "tap" water is a shocker. Do not waste your time and money here. Definitely not recommended and will not visit it again

Good : Quality falafel. Nice ambience. Best service by lady. Price worth it. Location good. Beer is good . Speed is bit slow but its okay since its fresh. Worth going there.Bad: do not order tap water this restaurant also cheater like 90% of Switzerland restaurant . That they are charging 2chf per person or per jug just for tap water. Than they have this excuse that they are GIVING to poor country . Come on give your profit money to them why from customers pocket. If customers like they will donate them selves DIRECTLY .

Great cosy neighbourhood place! Totally chilled out and very informal.Great couscous and also hummus! Easy place to visit, non fussy and that after yoga chill kinda chill place...

Nice restaurant. You feel welcome and the food is really good. The menu is quite simple maybe add more choices? Also dont forget to reserve especially during the weekend :)

Good Food in a nice street cafe atmosphere.

Good valuer for money , large portions we could share one of the tajines between a child and an adult. we had the poules citron which was ok and the tajine kefta which was the spicier and tastier of the two.
