Thoughtfully designed park with a big children's play area, a skate park & skyline views.
Lovely place to come. Kids will have fun and parents can get a breathe of fresh air. Just a nice area right next to the bayou and the view of downtown. Nice way to spend the day.
Es muy pequeño el lugar que está para niños es mas para caminar y andar en bicicleta .
Good place for kids to play and explore
Nice place to have a small picnic but not much of a play area for small kids. However it is adjacent to the skate park. So good for older kids that can skate. We had a company meet and greet here and it was perfect for that. THERE WERE NO MOSQUITOS!! So the City is doing a great job with keeping it sprayed!
Beautiful place
Nice park we went here with our photographer to take graduation pictures. Great background scenes of downtown houston and more for our pics taken at this park
Great outdoors
This place is okay. They dont have much things to do for kids. All they really have is a slide and little area for kids to play in sand.
Kids will love this place! The playground is very nice, so is the big sand area. Nice place to spend some time at.
I think Houston does a great job of creating escapes from the chaos of this city right in the middle of the city. My girls loved playing in the sand as there are not many opportunities to do that around here.
There are large pipes and drums to make music with, a slide, netting to climb, a view of the bayou, and a dry creek with a pump to make water flow.
Great for photo opportunities 😁
so much fun for a family!! The history of this location is very overwhelming. I love that there is a shaved ice stand here to serve you on hot days, and plenty of shaded places to sit and eat
Awesome place to take the kids
Nice little pavilion. Need better trash receptacles for picnics
Has a nice little playground and a skate park nearby.
Hermoso lugar para caminar y disfrutar de un bonito paseo con la familia.
Great nature playground with a long slide to tire the kids out!
This is a really well done park. There are patged bike / running paths, a skate park, playground, visitor center and shaded pavilion with six picnic tables. The view of the city is excellent and the natural trees, plants and bushes make for a very aesthetically pleasing experience. I am really glad that I found this place. The facilities are much better than the usual and the infrastructure in general far exceeded my expectations. The playground is wheel chair accessible and though some of it was closed off (i.e. the slidewhen we visited it still had so much to offer. The designers chose natural elements and it turned out very nice. It instantly became one of my top 3 favorite outdoor places in Houston.
This is one of my most peaceful places in the city, to me anyway. Its so breath taking, beautiful skyline of Houston Texas. I love the whole atmosphere with the Cistern, Skate Park & play area it gives all a welcoming appeal and just invites you In.... come alone or bring your kids! Its a sight you must see!
Love this place! Currently Closed due to BIG 4th of July event!
Super fun, but if you are alone with more than 1 child it will be challenging to keep and eye on them at all times.
Lovely play area for young children. Plenty to keep them busy and a well shaded picnic area
Beautiful place to photograph and have play dates!!!
Lots of fun and interesting things for kids to do! Handicap accessible too.
Great park to bring kids. Lots of interesting things to do and experience. Great backdrop with the city there as well. After we left my son passed out, and woke up wanting to go back to the "new park". Great place.
This is an excellent park. I especially appreciated how natural features are predominant, instead of simply having a few plastic play structures surrounded by mulch.
Fun place, not your typical playground/play area. Maybe better for slightly older kids and kids in groups and not toddlers as much. A great place for kids to run and use their imagination.
They got this beast ass slide and logs you got to climb to get to it.
A great place to bring kids. Lots of fun options for them to play on from a 30ft slide to a natural splash pad made from river rocks complete with a water wheel. One of the best parks in Houston.
