I celebrated my Birthday here last weekend and it was an incredible night! The food and cocktails were delicious. The basement room had a real vibe. Sam and the team went above and beyond to make it a great evening! Highly, highly recommend !

We hired out a room through private booking for my partner’s birthday yesterday and could not be happier. Staff absolutely lovely, great cocktails and fun venue. Would definitely recommend, we will be back!

Helpful staff, drinks week good too!

We popped in here for 1 drink as we were passing on the way to another venue and ended up staying for 2 hours!! The drinks were delicious and so reasonably priced. The service was fantastic and although it was pretty quiet (bank Holiday Sundaythe atmosphere was pretty good. Its a quirky, relaxed little place. All 3 of is thoroughly enjoyed it and if were ever in the area again will defo be back!

Very odd experience here...were having a lovely time when the manager decided to be really abrupt near us IE moving chairs, glaring and being very random... the owner basically decided he didnt like us. When he gets a power trip(he even used the "I own this place so kick these guys out" to the bouncerits pretty horrendous, be warned as I would hate for people to be having fun and then the owner to pick on you.And yes we did buy drinks and have proof of purchase, so why he is saying we didnt buy drinks is beyond me but shows he isnt really being truthful in his response.

Extremely rude owner was very offhand with us. When I tried to explain we are leaving because of the completely unnecessary hostility he was even ruder. Bizarre. Will not return to this place. We didn’t get kicked out of anywhere. I came to enquire half hour earlier about the music here as I didn’t like the music in last bar and wanted to celebrate my birthday here instead so brought my group of friends over having already checked with the security team about what music was playing and if I could bring my friends over.D. We wanted to leave only because the owner was so rude. We then had to wait because 2 of our friends had already bought 2 drinks so we had to wait for them to finish them. We couldn’t stay somewhere where the guy was so rude to usE. The owner here completely twists things which I can see from the response. And I can see from other negative reviews this isn’t first timeI wish we didn’t leave the previous bar for this place. In fact the owner ruined the end of my birthday celebration for no reason. Stay well clear of this place!

I had my birthday party with my friends yesterday night. What to say, the place is very nice with good music, the drinks are also very nice and even cheap to be Friday night and the manager Sam arranged everything perfectly. He even give me a t shirt as a present. I recommend this place if you want to spend an amazing night out.

Booked this place for a 20 person birthday party and had a fantastic time!! They gave us a private room downstairs with its own bar, a complimentary bottle of bubbly and a slice of cake with a big candle in it.Staff were lovely and super helpful. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails - especially during the happy hour - and the sharing boards.Would thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a drinks party.My only suggestion would be to update the website as its a little old and has some out of date info on it.

Fantastic bar in center of Clapham. Good for nights out with big or small groups. Drinks delivered quickly with nice selection of cocktails. Patio outside for easy people watching. Music on point and always full on weekends with happy people dancing. Perfect place to spend a boozy night out in Clapham.

I had my birthday party here last night and it was such a great night. The staff were lovely and the drinks were delicious (the margaritas were especially good). We had booked the basement area and it was such a vibe, there was a DJ who was very accommodating to the fact that we were all dressed in 70s disco clothes and very kindly mixed 70s tunes in to his regular set. The drinks are very fairly priced and I love that the place opens till 2:30am. Probably my favourite drinking spot in Clapham. I highly recommend this place for parties!

I spent my BIRTHDAY at Bar Social, the service was excellent, the coktalis were excellent and the food to die for love, I will surely return there. Thanks to managers and staff for a excellent night

came for one cocktail and stayed the whole night, not only is the food to DIE FOR ❤️‍🔥😍 the cocktails are amazing. The team and the management are so friendly and attentive it makes the night one to remember!!! Would recommend to all friends and family, will definitely be back again soon. Not just food and drinks the music is great, atmosphere is 10/10 will be back every weekend 😉😊

My husband and I went out for a drink and discovered this amazing place. Good music, nice cocktails, relaxing atmosphere and a very helpful and smiling staff. We had a great time! We surely come again soon.

A place where you can share with friends, enjoy good music, good cocktails in a cool atmosphere.The staff is very attentive and pleasant. A plus are the happy hours and their attention until late.

We were told a few days in advance of our booking (Saturday 31/07/21that happy hour ran until 9pm. On arrival we wanted to double check that this was accurate so we asked the bar staff, who confirmed the 9pm cut off time. On trying to order a round of drinks at 8:25pm, we were told that happy hour had ended. When we questioned this we were told that a large group had just arrived downstairs and the manager simply wanted to make more money. Outrageous.

I have been astonished to find the reply from the owner on a review left by a friend when we attended Bar Social for a birthday last night. Not only was the whole situation ridiculous but now having one of the members in our group leave a review, the owner has denied our experience from even happening without any apology whatsoever.I can confirm everything in the review is 100% true – we were told happy hour was until 9pm but when trying to order drinks at 8:25pm we were then told happy hour now ends at 8:30pm but we could also not order drinks at happy hour price in those last 5 minutes either. When asking the bar staff why it ended early (despite being told 15mins earlier that 9pm was the cut off), we were told there was a big party downstairs and the manager wanted to make more money! Cocktails are not even remotely made to any high standard. You’ve certainly lost us as a customer and I hope this review will inform others not to step inside Bar Social.

Prices were more than advertised on their website in happy hour and the waitress just said ‘yeah we need to change that’. The ‘Cocktails’ were just juice. And it could do with being cleaned in the last 5 years

Came to this bar, ordered a pina Colada and it taste like WATER and coconut with NOO alcohol. Explained to the bar tender and she had a taste and told me it was fine. I then asked what could be done and she response with if I want extra alcohol I would have to pay extra and if I want a new one I would have to pay extra. Honestly NEVER stepping foot again here AGAIN!!!Firstly, do not lie and say I chased you out the bar and shouted because I didn’t even speak to you, I spoke to a FEMALE bartender.Secondly, the drink was replaced because my friend took my drink and complained herself as she saw how sad I was when I sat down on our table.Thirdly, by you telling me how many pins colada you have sold is irreverent to the fact that the one you sold me tasted horrible!Lastly, you say I shouted at you “in front of your valued customers”.. why was I not seen as a valued customer that night?At the end of the day this is a platform and opportunity for me to express my experience and by right I will do so!

Great bar with very friendly staff. The drinks are very good, strong and well priced. They have a big happy hour menu where all drinks are £5.75, what a bargain in Clapham. I had a lot of fun here, well be back next weekend for sure!

Expect the bar ladies to take away your half finished drinks when youre not watching. They operate like ninjas! Hand must be placed constantly on drink or it will disappear! After the third time of mine and friends drinks disappearing, we complained to the manager who came across very rude! I used to go quite frequently but will no longer be going there.

Nice bar. Lovely decorations, good atmosphere and music. Would have given 5* if not for the ridiculous amount of ice in their cocktails - which are very nice otherwise.

Friendly staff. Great cocktails. Fantastic vibe and music and now great food. Burger and wings are best we had. Great for special occasions which we celebrated there. Definitely one of my favourite places in Sw11

I went to the bar social for my friends birthday last week for the first time and I was very impressed. The staff was adorable and the atmosphere was really great. And the best part of all of this is that the cocktails are only 5 pounds!I will definitely go back there! I really recommend it.

Weve been there for a birthday on Saturday and it was so good !! The staff is very friendly and the place unique. We had a free bottle of prosecco for the birthday girl. I will definitely recommend that place for a night out in Clapham !!!

The happy hour is just amazing !! 5 pound cocktails till late even on Friday, The bar staff is very helpful and thanks to them i’ve discovered the best cocktail ever: Mr brightside. So will definitely gonna be back there.

Londons best kept secret. Bar social is absolutely fantastic. The £5 cocktails until 11 on Friday are magnificent - there are over 60 to choose from and the bar staff are not only very skilled but extremely attentive. A lovely man went out specially to buy my friends and I crisps and served them to us throughout the evening for free! Great atomosphere, a well behaved clientele and its not crowded at all. I think Ive found my new regular! Central and east London are over hyped - Clapham is where its at!

Absolutely love Bar Social. Have been going regularly for about two years now and have a great night every time. Staff are really lovely and helpful, the cocktails are delicious, and very rarely pay more than £5 for one, such a great price!

came here for my birthday drinks and the guys were quite attentive. great 5 pound happy hour cocktails, too many to choose from! (myself tasted a few... hehe). interesting decor and good music too. if i lived again in the area i would make this my local!
