Bar Number Two - Bar in Funchal, Portugal
Great local favorites
Best bar Ive visited on holidays in a long time. Friendly staff, great music and of course tasty, cheap drinks. Fun, kinda clubby atmosphere.
Stopped here as part of a food tour, tried the Poncha, very nice.Asked the bar tender for a shot of local rum, he gladly offered and didn’t want money for it
Some of the best poncha around! Worth a try after you get off the cable car and walk around old town.I recommend trying the black poncha , very interesting.
We had great fun here on our last Saturday in Madeira, staying from about 11pm - 2.30 am! The drinks were great and the music and DJ even better. We had fun dance offs with locals to the classic songs and made new friends. Kudos to the DJ for always recognising the vibe of the crowd depending on different crowds! The cocktails and nikita were great!
A cheap place with great drinks. Sometimes they will bring you some peanuts with the drink, sometimes wont
Great choice for poncho! Highly recommended.
Very good value place to drink in Funchal
The waiter didnt add 1 drink on my bill. I paid my bill....and he told me I tricked him and put all the blame on me.This is your fault. The waiter (youis responsible for making the bill, not me. This is your responsibility to make a good bill. If anyone is guilty - that is YOU.I advise against visiting this restaurant.
I came here from other s recommendation. poncha and mojito were great the waitress is kind too.
Passionfruit Caipirinha was good. They use fresh ingredients. Nice vibe.
Rude waitress
Crowded and Amazing pub, fantastic Friday night with DJ music, crazy dance, good poncha (3 €/glass), super fast service. Open till late.
Best poncha bar in Funchal! Undoubtedly!
Firstly sorry for very late review, as I love to review this place in Madeira. We stopped here on our way back to hotel and stayed until closing.Bar has absolutely most amazing staff, great service, very friendly and knowledgeable. My Hendricks Gin & Tonic was made to perfection and I must say never had better. As is not only about putting together gin and tonic, but about the mixology and staff here know what they do.My huge and Biggest Thank to all staff who worked :ElmanoDavidElsaSpinolaYou are all superstar!!Was absolutely pleasure to meeting you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They offer huge variety of ponchas. Fresh and delicious, reasonable prices.
Up and coming poncha bar with new cocktails every day
Some of the best ponchas on the island but be sure to triple check the bill, if you know what I mean :)
Nice bar to drink a poncha with free garlic chips!
Good atmosphere with brill music
Lovely little cafe, great prices and good food
Delicious Nikita ✨ and poncha!!!Loved this bar just in the old town.Good music and friendly waiters
Nice Cocktails
Best prego especial in Funchal. Great poncho too.
Nice Bar, but nothing special
Popular bar to watch the world walk by. Located close to cable car and bus terminal (ideal for when you miss the bus). Friendly staff and a great atmosphere with a wide range of reasonably priced drinks.
Great value, welcoming, good location, good selection of snacks, good coffee, not bad for an English type of tea
Great choice of cocktails and the typical poncha!
Great ponchas and nice staff. For me, best poncha around.
Very good priced poncha. The owner makes it in front of you and is super friendly. You also get free tapas which is very nice, cannot complain, great for a few drinks.
So here’s a list for you:It has a TERRIBLE environment; The Poncha was a joke, plain orange juice;Bartenders were very rude, avoidant, and would spill drinks constantly; The music way too loud unnecessarily; We got harassed by the small GeorgeConstanza DJ when trying to get to the bathroom, aggressively claiming and screaming we werent clients and therefore couldn’t use it, making a scene. All in all a huge lack of professionalism and consideration for their clients, making you feel ignored and unwelcome. There are better places in Madeira. Dont get fooled by drunk reviews.
Great poncha!
Perfect Bar to enjoy an original Poncha or an other cocktail/drink in a nice location directly at the sea 🍸🍹🌊
Best Poncha Bar in town. Homemade Ponchas with fresh, real juice, handmade made with love!❤ Absolute ‚must-visit‘ spot on the island! Try the different varieties and find your favorite!
Perfect place with perfect personnel - i like it very much and will surely return!!
Had our first Ponchas here. They were wonderful. Had been advised to try the passion fruit or orange first and they really did taste great. Will take guests here.
Amazing tasty ponchas...Get to try it if you are in town...You wont be disappointed...Friendly staffGood location
Happy memories of this place nice basic beer drinking bar with light menu overlooking a nice park. Good service good beer pretty cheap compared to hotels. Locals use it always a good sign👍🍻😎
The waitress suddenly became inattentive and rude once she knew we ordered coffee and bolo de caco
Lovely little bar sitting behind the cable car entrance. Good choice of drinks. Was very busy as 2 larger groups arrived so service was a bit slow, the waitress was very apologetic and the local poncha mixed fresh was worth waiting for
Great bar and great bar staff. I felt very welcome there and the poncha was great.
A great little bar near the cable car. We were introduced to it via a food walk otherwise looks much like many others. The poncho is excellent very authentic and made to order in front of you. Prices very reasonable. Hardworking staff. Well worth a visit.
Amazingly good homemade Ponchas! The maracuja one is absolutely delicious!
Short visit but disappointing a little bit.Place for the young people, noisy. The menu was just dirty, very dirty and sticky of dirt.Clean inside. Very tasty poncha.
The best Poncha in Madeira....traditionally made, just heaven in your mouth... Highly recommended! Fantastic atmosphere, family run business!
Decent homemade drinks and a really good atmosphere. Bit slow on the service but the drinks are so cheap it makes up for it. TRY THE NIKITA!
Happening place in Funchal during these times. Should be enforcing face coverings inside though given it was fairly packed with relatively drunk people. Cocktails were nice, 80s/90s British music, with a visit for something a little more lively
Great tangerine poncha with a delicious prego em bolo de caco hard to beat!
Great ponchas! Different types that will suit every taste! Very nice staff, they will surely advise if you dont know what to choose. Additionally you will get some snacks to get your hands busy. Totally recommended!!!
We cam here on our first night as of being on the island we met up in a massive group and we were instantly felt to be welcome by the people there they served us drinks every few minutes they were immediate with our requests and they werent annoyed or bothered that we were still there after closing hours to anyone that has the opportunity to visit here please do
