The bar has a really great atmosphere and a large selection of all kinds of drinks.

Sitting outside for 15 min with zero service, then the man comes out while we are having a small snack and goes this isnt a picnic place and doesnt even bother to even come up to us, so rude, never again

i really enjoyed it here! the staff was welcoming and friendly, and the cocktail was spectacular. I had the “rocket science” (rocketshot, bacardi razz, fanta, raket ijsje). super nice place to relax and people watch in oude markt.

Great food, big portions and very good cocktails! Went here for lunch and didnt need to eat anything for the rest of the day :-I can also recommend the apple pie martini cocktail!

Great service, great drinks, great food and great atmosphere. Their delicious fingerfood will keep you going late into the evening. I cant decide if the kroketjes or the scampi are my favourite, but the huiscocktail is a must-try!

Predatory creeps for waiters.Sat 45 minutes waiting to be serviced. The waiter was stabding at a table with 4 girls for the whole 45 minutes, chatting them up. Then he walked back into the bar, ignoring us, then back to the girls table, chatting for another 20 minutes. Then on to another table with only girls, then another table. I had to go inside to order. When i came back, the waiter was still chatting up the 4 girls at the other table.Bar Nine thinks this guy is a quality employee. Bar Nine is therefore a bad bar.

Love the cocktails, love the setting. Very professional and fast service. Great for a quick bite and drink, or for an evening out.

Nice place with friendly service at a great location. However the food was way too salty and missed taste, we left disappointed. Great cocktail however.

I met some friends at this place to have a drink. Theres an immense amount of drinks to choose from. I chose the Tiki Tequila (see picture). Despite the refreshing drinks, the staff was a bit aloof the day we came in. I suspect they had a bad day, as they were friendlier when we visited them a couple of months earlier. You can sit inside or on their terrace, which is provided with sunshades to keep the sun out of your eyes.

Ordered for over 100 euro of drinks here. My friend went to get 1 pizza 50m over, and one of the staff threw him out without giving an explanation.. Never recommending this to friends again.

Bar Nine (former Ming Dynastyis one of my mums favorite hang out place (especially during the World Cup, her friends and she would save spot just to be there). The workers are friendly and service was good. I really like restaurants interior inside and outside (its very relax atmosphere and no wonder its popular among all age).I do understand that prices are a bit pricey for what you get. But the taste of the side dish and cocktails are very good! So far, its the best Long Island Ice Tea that I have ever got in Leuven and well presented as well (most of the cafes I know are pretty stingy when it comes to amount of alcohol they pour it in cocktails).So far, I have been to Bar Nine for two times and they did left me with good impression (even though they forgot about my "gemarineerde kippenboutjes" and I needed to remind them, all the rest was fine).I will definitely go back for sure and for those who are curious they accept meal vouchers such as Sodexo and Edenred!

Very rude and condescending waiters. I asked for meet burger and i asked two of them is it port or contain any pork in it. They confirm no it doesnt, after i had a bite i tasted bacon in it, i called the waiters after ten minutes they came to my table and when i showed him the bacon simply he said Im sorry. Even though i asked him many times is it beef or not.They dont respect customers at all!!!!

Cosy bar at the beginning of the beautiful big square. It has a nice terrace with comfortable sits. The menu has a really wide selection of cocktails and other drinks, also some special beers. Prices are a bit higher than normal, but the quality pays back. The snacks are also not bad at all, recommend the crunchy Belgian fries and shrimp balls! The staff should be more friendly tho

Food is good, location is also good as it is at the center of the city more or less. Price was acceptable as well. Being in Belgium means having the ability to choose from a huge variety of beers. Maybe this place does not have the widest variety, but for a tourist, the variety is big enough

Good cocktails, very broad choice. We liked all those we tried. Some non alcoholic options. Prices are average for cocktails and spirits, a bit high for mocktails.

Worst service experience I had. We were seven people. There are the reasons why:One of my friends who ordered a cocktail asked if they provide for free any chips together with the cocktail. They waiter said no as you have to pay for it. He brought afterwards chips without our order and in the end they charged us 10 euros.They served tab water for 2,5 per bottle as well.Additionally as we are so many people we wanted to pay separately and they also refused it. In the past I could pay separately there.The stuff was rude.Never again...

Its quite popular in Oudemarkt as it stands out among the others with its neat and cozy interior design. Staff is helpful and friendly, the place is far cleaner than the others too. All this doesnt reflect too much on their pricing.

Cozy bar with probably the best cocktails in town. Nice experience overall (I didnt try the food, though). UPDATE: I tried one of the burgers, it was poor in presentation, and way too greasy... It stayed on my stomach all evening! Stick to the fingerfood (nachos with jalapeños and melted cheese is my favorite).

Quality food and drinks served with a smile! Had a lovely lunch here, tried lots of tapas and some Belgian beers. Staff was friendly and service was fast and good. Location is very central and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating.

A nice place on the wonderful on the Oude Markt of Leuven, the have a nice collection of beers and cocktails and a cosy terras with pillows and blankets for when it gets a little bit chillier in the evening. They make beautiful cocktails, very tasty, though a bit expensive.

Been here once with some colleagues for drinks. The place had a good vibe with a mostly young crowd. Nice indoor and outdoor seating, a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, and friendly service. The place can get busy, so worth reserving a table if you plan to get some food.

Great selection of whisky and cocktails. Staff seems well trained. Very nice interior. The bar is very modern looking and attracts young crowds. Definitely a must visit if you like lounging, cocktails or whisky.

One of my favourite hang outs in Leuven, with a heated terrace, so you still can enjoy Leuvens Oude Markt in winter. Very good cocktails and service. Their dining menu is a bit short and classical, and I miss some creativity in the dishes, but overall the quality is very high. Same goes for finger food. A lot of fried, traditional things, but recently some interesting choices have been added to the menu.

A new great experience of hanging out and dining!! The food and cocktails were not only creative but also great. The staffs were friendly and the service was impressive. The decor is unique with the perfect combination of Western and Asian style. My friend and I really had a great time there. Highly recommended!

Bar Nine is both a restaurant and a fancy bar for hanging out. We had dinner there and the food was delicious--creative fusion of Belgian and Asian cuisines. Afterwards we could chill in the lounge/bar area for drinks and snacks and the decor and music made up an awesome atmosphere. The drinks were very good especially the house cocktail! I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a new dining experience and a classy, chill night out!

Ive been to this bar a few times and it was always a great experience! The drinks are delicious, it owns a very nice terras to relax on sunny days and the interior also is very stylish and cosy. I definitely recommend this bar if youre looking for something more fancy than a regular pub!
