Delicious & awesome spot to sit.
Great and quick service - the staff is 100%
Amazing red curry and friendly service!
Very good food and cool location, service and atmosphere! Thumbs up!
It is Thai food, does it match the perfect Thai food for sure not. It is Thai food for non locals. Besides that the quality and taste is amazing. It is highly recommended to visit the restaurant. It is not possible to make a reservation. I recommend to visit in the week, on weekend the square where it is located is too busy and hard to get a table.Food here can be very spicy for people not used to eat spicy. The people working in the restaurant is the best, they are so kind and always help to accommodate to your needs. Service is a 10!!!
The outdoor chairs are really great assuming you like back pain, plus they feel like they’re about to collapse under you. I had possibly the worst massaman curry I can remember, the beef was mainly just lumps of gristle. Apparently the green vege curry wasn’t bad though. Service was mediocre
Great service, great food, great drinks. Ill be back!
Food so good the waiters are very kind, I recommend to try the padthai 🧡
Amazing staff and perfect food, but something went wrong with the chef since the worlds best grilled shrimps arent on the menu anymore🥲🤎
Very unexpected and delicious thai food at a reasonable price
Worst place to eat at! We got treated incredibly disrespectful when asking for the allergens information on the food. Apparently it is not part of the waiters Job to serve the customers and ensure their well-being. Won’t go there again.
I enjoyed my grill, its also not a busy grill spot
Great pad thai! Enjoyed kombucha also is wonderful. Quick service. Tom yam is not spicy. But tasty.Thank you so much
Good Thai food!I wanted to leave early than my friends and the waiter didn’t split my part of the bill. It doesn’t make sense.
Really good coffee and excellent pancakes. Polite and courteous staff who are very efficient. Extra tables upstairs and toilets with clean bathroom. Highly recommended
Great tasting food served with a smile. Clean tables and nice staff. There are even napkins, which is not that standard actually!
bar mash is not that good. The chicken sateh where 5 sticks but one stick was with half chicken pieces. The Papaya salad was without any Papaya. The waitersand management where very arrogant and not service minded. Take care to visit this restataurant
Food got much worse compared to previous year. Pad thai is quite inedible.
Best part of this place is the cozy feeling that you get and you can basically sit and chill for hours! Beers are great, spring roll was ok and stuff is very friendly!
Fantastic green curry. The service was quick, staff really nice. Recommended.
Deliciously fresh Thai food and great cocktails. Loved this place!
PAD THAI? More like PAD LIE 😡I was given a red, curry flavoured Pad Thai and when asking the staff that I was unhappy as it tasted nothing like a Pad Thai. I was just told ‘well it looks like a pad Thai’.Clearly, the chef had accidentally ruined the pad Thai. Which coincidentally, caused the waitress to pad lie to my face and say, ‘oh it’s a recipe change!’.After explaining that I’ve eaten there 3 times before and it never tasted like this, all I received was a ‘well there is nothing we can do’ look.Rude staff, AWFUL food. I will never be back and would never recommended this restaurant ever again.Go somewhere better. Save your disappointment. As three guys we despise the house of pad lies.
After an hour of waiting for my food I gave up and cancelled my order. During this hour I asked the waiters twice when I could expect my food. Both time they told me, smiling, that “It would come right up”. So they clearly didn’t even check the status of my order. Because when o got really angry and wanted to cancel the order one waiter said it never was in the system and the second waiter that it was a screw up by the kitchen. They handelde the whole situation very lamely, stood there like little school boys being corrected by their teacher. So I took my 11 week old daughter and went home. I had hoped for a lunch for this tired mother in the spring sun while she was sleeping but clearly I have to wait for another day.
Unfortunately theres only one vegan dish on the menu. For drinks this is an awesome place to be! :)
Nice food and very reasonable prices. As a suggestion you should turn the music down a little bit. The waiters will still have a good time and the customers will be able to talk without shouting.
As the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed for lunch, we found this little hidden gem in the Pijp. It is a small cosy restaurant with seating outside as well. We had the Pad Thai with chicken and the Spicy Rice Noodles with Tofu. Both were delicious! You could really taste that fresh products were used and that it was made with love. The waitress was very friendly. Will definitely come here again to try one of their curries.
So I got the green curry and the Tom Yum Kung. Listen closely. Don’t come here and not get the Tom Yum Kung.Get 👏🏽 the 👏🏽 Tom yum 👏🏽 Kung!Thank me later
Great coconut soup with chicken( Tom kha Kai)! Perfect spaciness that comes with time and a very nice pad Thai. Will come back for sure!
Great beef massaman and green curry. Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere.
Always love to come here. Great vibe. We started singing Happy birthday for our friend and everybody at mash just went fir it and sang along.
Very good place to have Pad Thai.
Great Thai food, not an extensive menu insuring quality and fresh dishes. If you don’t like spicy don’t go for the Massaman curry, but all options are delicious. And the service is very friendly.
Great place to have a wonderful Thai food lunch. Relaxing atmosphere, good staff and great food. What else do we need 😄Good prizes as well.
Absolutely lovely lunch here today!I cannot recommend this place enough, staff are extremely friendly, prices are very reasonable and the food was excellent! My partner and I will definitely be back!
Best Thai spot in de Pijp! Literally every dish is amazing, and they have fun local beers that go great with the food! Super hip restaurant. Also great for some drinks with friends!
The food was tasty and they have a diverse drink menu. The service was friendly but not too attentive - there was one person working at the front so you should consider having more staff on a Saturday night. Other than that had a great experience and would come again.
Best spicy curry Ive had in Amsterdam so far. Really flavorful and balanced, paired with some basmati rice.Id also highlight it is a nice place to have a cocktail along the music they play in the terrace, service is really friendly and the general mood is nice.
We ended up there for some late night drinks. We were 7 and the waitress made an awesome effort to accommodate us (considering Covid-19 and distances limitations). We got one table for 4 and one for 3 inside and we could still talk to each other. We had beers, Moscow mules and some Anis shots (dont know the name of the drink). Everything was great, the girls (waitress and bartenderwere super cute and awesome! Will definitely pass by again and recommend to other friends!
Dropped by for a quick lunch on the patio, lovely spot with small Thai bites. Loved the jasmine kombucha!Food was pretty good, would come back for dinner/drinks.
Ive been to bar mash several times and every time I go there I have a great time. Either for a beer, a cocktail, snacks or a proper Thai main course, Ive never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very cozy and chill. Staff is SUPER friendly and welcoming and food is very good as well. Great music selection as well. This place has become my go-to bar in less than 3 months. Great vibes, totally recommended.
Great place for a beer! Thai food was not good. Fish cakes not to bad, glass noodle salad with beef had 3 pieces of beef and virtually no flavor. Thom kha gai soup was extremely bland. Red curry with prawns was not to bad and last but not least stir fried chicken with cashewnuts, main vegetable was onion (like in all dishes, cheapest filler everthe chicken was not freshly cooked and clearly boiled before used in stir-fry. Im sorry but my Thai cooking is better than what your Thai chef makes.
A disappointment. Based on a recommendation by a friend we tried this place. We walked in without a reservation. The outside terrace was crowded, luckily we could have the last available table. The guests were a combination of students and hipsters. We ordered a bottle of water, a wine, pangsit, stir-fried noodles and rice with chicken. The orders came through quickly. The wine, however, tasted like flavored water, and the temperature was not on point (lukewarm). We asked the waitress if this was normal. She suggested we tried a different wine. We asked for a recommendation and she said: ’we only serve two white wines, so the other one.’ The other one tasted like water too, however with a slightly different flavor. The temperature was somewhat better. When the pangsit came through we noticed that they were shiny from all the grease. The taste was good but you’d expect a dry crunchy pangsit and not one that is covered in fat. Maybe the chef was in a hurry and served them right from the fat onto our plate. The rice and noodles were better. Not special. Just what you expect. What I liked was that there was a good portion of vegies in the noodles. The chicken with cashews tasted like a sip of soja. Way to intense, too much soja sauce for our likings. We paid 50 euros for a bottle of water, a glass of white wine, one portion of pangsit, and two mains. For us the food and drinks are overpriced. We would not return.
Tasty food, great service (worth mentioning that they have tap water for freeand very big portions. Price/Value ratio is REALLY good here, one of my favourite places in Amsterdam. Dont forget to try their amazing Pad thai!
Didn’t know the evening price were double those on the menu. Pad thai was ok
The thai food was very good. Coming from the us, I wasnt sure how this would be but the chicken pad thai was great. I asked for it to be a little more spicy and they gave me sauce which made the level of spiciness perfect. Fun atmosphere as well with nice bartenders.
Stopped here for the drinks on the terrace, but would go back for the food.Food was great! We had the noodles with chicken and the fish curry. They were both delicious, but Id strongly recommend the curry. Slightly spicy, but definitely manageable.Their very large terrace has heaters in case it gets chilly, and a huge selection of drinks.
Delicious dark and stormy!Cosy bar with great atmosphere
Just happened into this little gem of a place to get out of the rain. Cozy little restaurant, plenty of choice at the bar and really good Thai food. Cant wait to return!
Cute little Thai bar with a tasty traditional Thai food selection and good drink menu. Decent value meals too.
Real Thai food!Nice place, friendly staff great food! The food was just great, we ordered 2 suops that were delicious- the "Tom Yam koneg" (its not spicy at all although they say it isand the "Tom Kha Kai" that was really nice. The papaya salad was ok but not more than that. The Pad Thai was just amazing! Dont miss it out. They have a nice place to sit outside when its warm, and in the inside they have high seats and standard tables. The staff was really nice and friendly, everything got out really quickly. Thanks guy for a great lunch!
