Bar Elba in Kabinda

The first time we approached the bar, the security guard was a bit offish, but this had significantly improved when we came back closer to our booking time.Upstairs we had a table booked until 8 pm, which was close to the bar. During our booking slot, we were approached twice by staff telling us that we would have to move for upcoming bookings (even though this was before our time had come to an end).Although our experience was generally good, these two things did slightly mar the evening at first.

A bit mixed on this one. The bar staff arent pleasant and like to exert some kind of authority over customers.. Even with a few people there getting drinks takes ages because you have to go to the counter yourself. Floor stuff just pick up empty glasses. The person who told me about it oversold.Wont be going back there.

We had a great time at the Bavarian bottomless brunch! Service was amazing, fast to bring over replacement bottles when the current one was empty, lovely staff making sure guests are comfortable! Thank you bar Elba, we will definitely be returning!

What a great place for a happy hour! I came in from the states and wanted to find a place for my friends and I to meet and it was great! Easy to book, great food, great drinks giant beers good music and the atmosphere was perfect!

You have to hand it to the bar staff in this place who were the sharpest Ive ever seen. The place was rammed when we arrived and about four back from the bar, I was expecting a long wait. However they always seemed to have a least two orders on the go at once and the queue magically cleared as they got the orders away. I accidently got served a warm beer as the turnover was so high that it hadnt had time to chill, and they replaced it quickly with an empathetic "youre right, theres nothing worse than a warm beer". This place isnt my usual scene, but Ill definitely be back for the 1st class bar service alone.

Good views but that is about it. £6.25 for canned beer. Weird security staff. I was going to pop in to the shop next door to get filters but was told by security they operated a "no re-entry" policy and if I left I wouldnt be allowed back in (on a Tuesday 9pm and place was empty). Do not recommend.

Had the best start to a bridal shower at Bar Elba. The staff were incredibly accomodating, super helpful, communicative - genuinely nice people - really one of the best run bars from a management perspective I have come across in London. They operated like a well oiled team. The doormen were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, cocktails were on point - so tasty every round! The music and ambience on a Friday night was lively but not at any point overbearing. Loved the colourful energetic rooftop setting/decor and tongue in cheek art. Definitely worth the 4 storey climb to the top.

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to visiting. As we were in quite a large group of people I was grateful for the amount of space that was available for us.Food that was served was awesome and a lovely variety offered. Drinks were also really good. Bar staff and those serving food top notch.However a few things that did not make this review 5 stars.- The amount of stairs that you need to go up to actually get to the bar. Didn’t feel accessible.- As someone who gets quite worried about what food is available, I have a snack in my bag as well as in case I don’t feel very well. Also as I don’t live in the city, I would be commuting home very late so would actually need it for that journey home as it would be a few hours. Whilst the bouncer on the door is just doing their job, I didn’t appreciate it being taken. The smug reaction of it happening was quite embarrassing when in front of work colleagues as the bouncer proceeded to raise it high into the air as if to show it off that he had discovered ‘contraband’.- Same bouncer had found out the name of one of our group and has now contacted them when they just paid them a compliment at the end of the night. This was no invitation to use the job role and potentially having access to the guest list/overhearing an individuals name to then stalk social media to find them.Rather concerned that has taken place and now questions to honestly and integrity of having an event here, considering this was a work do so our organisers had gone to great lengths to get this sorted.

A little off the beaten track, using a side door opposite Waterloo Tube Station this rooftop bar is well worth the climb! When we booked there was a 2-4-1 offer and that certainly helped! The views are cool and it’s always great to be on a rooftop when the sun is out. I didn’t notice a lift and there are several flights of stairs to climb, if access may be an issue, I’d give them a call first. The Strawberry Daiquiri was really good. Certainly worth hunting down.

Few issues at first when we arrived our Table wasn’t ready then another group sat down and refused to move. They did after 10 minutes. The tables weren’t washed down. Apart from that we had a very enjoyable evening. Great atmosphere! The Food was really good too. We had a group of 19 so we do understand and appreciate how busy you were on Saturday. I would definitely recommend Bar Elba for s fun chilled evening.

Good vibes, bit too hot for a roof top terrace bar on the day we went but can’t be helped. Would be 5 stars if there was some interaction/activities. Only did limbo and were told there would be karaoke etc. Good range of bottomless drinks and yummy food!

Fabulous brunch, the staff are fun and the drinks are great. It was boiling hot when we went but we got some cute Bar Elba handheld fans to keep cool. Great vibe for a city brunch. Our waiter Ollie was great and kept as well *hydrated*🌟🌸🍾

Not bad. Visited on a Friday early evening with jo booking so was quite busy. I enjoyed my cocktail which was the watermelon and strawberry martini. Just to add… there are soooooooooooon many stairs to climb to get to the roof top and I did not see a lift.

Came for my husbands 30th as we was staying in London for the night and we wanted a nice roof top bar.Drinks were very expensive, I know prices have gone up but we paid £6.50 for a small can of fruity cider!Food was nice, but when food arrived we didnt get given any cutlery or napkins, we didnt get asked if we wanted any sauces etc. Half way through meal we didnt get asked how the meal was either.After we had finished eating we asked a member of staff for some napkins which she went to get and we never got them. So we went into the toilet before we left to go wash out hands.Not the best service I have ever received!

Met up with a friend for happy hour at Bar Elba. Decorations cute and made me feel like I am vacaying on some island 🏝got myself some pink drinks 💖 I love that they have ‘slim’ low-cal options for cocktails defo great for people like me who wanna enjoy without too much guilt lol btw didn’t have the chance to try out their food tho maybe next time!

It was nice to visit such a lovely place. Drinks were served well and views from terrace top were quite amazing. Though it was sunny in between but the environment in general was very good. Enjoyed my time there. Good place to hang out with friends.

We went early evening for cocktails and food. The cocktails were well made and the food was good pub food, the chips particularly good. We were told that there was 2:1 on cocktails on happy hour, but found we had been charged full price. This was sorted out by the manager though and all in all a good night. We sat on the upper sun deck and the views are great. Would return again overall a good experience.

This is a nice location and a good place to have a gathering after work. There are a couple of things that let it down though, the main one was the limited selection of wines, they did not even have a Chardonnay! The tables were also dirty and sticky even after being cleaned. With a bit of effort this could be a really nice place.

Amazing experience! The place is awesome and the cocktails really good and at a very good price for London. Shardené was the best, finding us a great table even if we didn’t have a reservation. Definitely coming back!

Elba is amazing! I’ve been here a couple of times and the service, food and drinks have always been great. Shardané is the most lovely and cool server! She gave us the best table for my friends birthday!

Very fun with great vibes and entertainment, but kinda pricey for weak jugs of cocktails and less prosecco. The drinks also stopped serving half an hour before the advertised end of the bottomless brunch. The staff are very nice though.

The premises are fantastic and the ambiance is great! One of the best rooftops I’ve been to. The only thing to improve is the staff (obviously not being experienced and pulling faces when we asked some water with the ordersand the food. I know people don’t go to a bar for eating but we had some quick bites and the burger was not up to London standards (party most probably came from Iceland). Other than these two, it’s still a great bar and will go back.

We sat on the view terrace at the top. Its a great little space to enjoy the sun. The cocktails were DELICIOUS! The service was a little bit slow - our first order took over 20 mins to arrive, but it was a Saturday so they were busy. The staff were very friendly.

Granted, a really cool location amongst the rooftops. However, service was really slow and the beers (cans and bottlesturned up warmer and warmer throughout the evening. Both point to the fact that the bar was over capacity in terms of staff and fridge space availability.

Absolutely shockingly bad! Please dont waste your money!Our group paid over £700 and we received jugs of cocktails filled to brim with ice, definitely no alcohol in them, if so very very little!Food Unbelievable. Half our party didnt receive.I had avocado on toast which was droned in burning hot sauce, could not eat. My friend had mac & cheese which was also drowned in burning hot sauce! Is it supposed to be drowned in this ridiculous hot sauce or was it put on because we complained about the drinks???The others had cold burgers...Complete & utter rip off!This was supposed to be a special event, we all left rather deflated.What we had in that 2 hours would have cost no more that £150 tops! And it wasnt even worth that price!

Absolutely awful drinks are watered down staff are useless not worth the money at all AVOID AVOID very over rated 2 of our party never recievex there food. Walked out very over rated food was dyer cold burgers

One of the best places in London! A complimentary bottle of Prosecco because it was my birthday, great cocktails and delicious food. All the staff was lovely, and I will definitely come back there! Thanks for everything x

Went during the day and were initially told there were no tables available but we were welcome to stand at the bar. However as there were plenty of empty tables we asked another member of staff if we were OK to sit down for half an hour and they said yes.We had two cocktails each and they were absolutely delicious and very welcome on a hot day. Views from the top terrace were great, although we only discovered this seating area on the way out.There are a lot of stairs up to the bar but it was worth the effort. Seemed to be getting quite busy when we left at 4pm, I imagine in the evening it is packed

I’ve been to Bar Elba twice in 2020 and 2022 and had a great time. It was really popular on TikTok around the first time I went there, hence it was really busy but I remember my friend and I loved the cocktails. The 2nd time was an event called “Bottomless Brunch Ibiza Festival” and it was one of the best festivals I’ve ever attended to. It was so fun! Definitely worth it.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was fab. Seamless booking process. Great vibe and a great view. Cant comment on the bar service because my friends were getting the drinks for me! But they werent ever gone longer than 10-15 minutes which is very impressive for a Saturday night in London. Thanks for a great birthday

Nice cute place with great vibes and music.Special shout to Shardowe, who helped us ease into the place, gave suggestions for drinks and food. The cocktails were really good and I think they became better as the night moved on.

The pub is on the 4th floor, no elevators. Not for you if you’re looking for a posh pub experience. It’s a local pub, I wouldn’t suggest it if you’re celebrating something or are going out for something special. If you’re looking to grab a pint at the end of a regular day, then you’d have a good experience. Food was average. The place looks very pretty, nice lights and decor.

Average rooftop bar, dont really get any views so dont go if thats specifically what youre expecting. Otherwise cool bar, yellow steel and nice flowers so would make cool pics. Food average. Drinks/cocktails average. The atmosphere is busy but not anything great.

Absolute rip off and tragic experience. We paid £116.60 for two people for the lost in Ibiza bottomless brunch. For that price you have expectations for quality drinks and food. Unfortunately the food arrived cold and looked like something you’d be served at a children’s party. You get a bottle of cheap sparkling wine, a poor tasting welcome drink with no alcohol and a pitcher of pre-mixed cocktail, also with barley any alcohol. We drank everything on the table to try and get our moneys worth but honestly left more sober than we arrived. The glasses were also dirty and you have to eat off wooden cutlery from paper plates. It looked like bar Elba relied on people coming into London for a hen/stag/birthday and them being battered before even entering. The entertainment was poor. The kind of thing you would see on a booze cruise in magaluf with 18 year olds. For over £55 per person you would expect so much more and a hint of class to the experience, but it was just beyond tragic. It could have not cost more than £10 per person for them to put on. I’ll never go back to bar Elba and will tell all my friends to give it a miss too. Most overpriced experience ever, I want my money back!

Went to Bar Elba with 9 friends on Thu 26/05 and had a great evening. They have a lot of staff, which means you dont wait long at the bar even though its a busy place, and the overall vibe is friendly and fun. Great spot for after work drinks or catching up with a group of friends. The music kept the atmosphere bubbling and even though it was a cloudy day, the view was still a plus. Would recommend it and go back in the future.

I’ve always loved the views from this Waterloo rooftop bar. We went for Ibiza bottomless brunch on Sunday. Very generous with the drinks. The food was good, but not amazing. It’s more about the fun experience with the DJ, island vibes, glitter bar and silly games. I would go back!

Went for my birthday with friendsLoved the atmosphere and good music! Food was amazing however wasnt very pleased with the cocktail jugs as they seemed to be watered down and weak. Still staff were very attentive and was fun. Just shame about the cocktails.

Went yesterday for the Ibiza brunch and I cannot get over how brilliant it was. The vibe was buzzing as soon as we arrived, staff were phenomenal. I had read a few reviews saying the opposite but they were attentive to our needs( we asked to be moved for health reasons and they couldn’t do enough to helppeople were up dancing, the female singer was brilliant and the cocktails, free flowing. Good was ok , what you’d expect for the money but everything else, they’ve got spot on. Well done to all the staff, we’re definitely coming back

I went in January as I received a 50% off code via mail. Cocktails for £5 is definitely a good deal. The hibiscus margarita is wonderful and I would definitely go back for it. The nachos and fries are great too.Here’s why I rated it a 3 star:1This place is supposed to be a rooftop, but it’s nowhere as high enough to be one. The ambience isn’t “pretty” per se and there is no view.2You also need to take the “stairs” to get there which is definitely a buzz kill (glad I didn’t wear heels).3It is bar service only which means if you go on a weekend, you’d need to wait 20-30 minutes in queue to get a drink from the bar. I wouldn’t mind paying extra just to get table service.4This was all worth since cocktails were £5, but if I had to go again and take the stairs, wait 30 minutes for a drink, and sit on an uncomfortable chair with absolutely no view, I definitely would not pay full price.

Get ready to climb the stairs to this cute rooftop bar, good thing there are loads of cool motivational signs to keep you going along the way. The rooftop is covered so not too cold but ypu get a breeze every so often so wrap-up at night. Drinks were good price for the area and nice view of the shard. Will be back!

Great location, good variety of drinksCould do with some more bites on offer. Didnt enjoy having to queue for the later time slot when my guest was upstairs but the queue moved quickly that I wasnt too bothered by it. The toilets are quite cool too.

Went for at “special package” one hour of free folding martinis, beer and bubbles.Had the most amazing waiter, super sweet and helpful, the drinks were decent and overall value for money. Would definitely do that over booking a regular table in the future!

09.06.2021SO nice to be back in London properly for the first time since March 2019!!Great company, good service and they even let us move tables when it got too hot, despite it being super busy!Food was yummy as well!We got the nachos, some chips and then a selection of beers including the Estrella, the Daura Dam (gluten free), and the Hazy Ale.I mean even the toilets looked cool (see the last picture).

Amazing evening here at Bar Elba the other night. Had a nice table in the middle, the staff were super friendly and energetic, everyone seemed to be having a great time.Nice selection of drinks and unique cocktails I really liked.
