Baobab restaurant in Malindi

Good service, amazing vegetarian curry, fresh fries and cheap beer! Loved it!

we had a pepper filet steak and a fish curry which where nice. beef was soft and tasty with the sauce. fries where good too. fish curry was ok, nothing special. as starter we had a smoke sail fish. unfortunately it came in big chunks and not thinly sliced. overall it was ok and prices are pocket friendly

Lovely steaks, Friendly staff, beautiful ambiance, freshly cooked food.

I dont usually write bad reviews but this place deserves a warning.The fish on coconut sauce was a thick tasteless gravy. Most likely prepared well in advance. Did not taste of coconut either.The next day its still heavy on my stomach and I am usually an easy eater. My worst food experience in 8 months Kenya.

I really like this place. It has a truly African feel. Location, food, hospitality, etc, it has it all. When in Malindi I often just sit there watching the world go by for a few hours with some cold beers and a vegetable curry. Its a great place for people watching! 👍

Fruit plate was one piece of pineapple and several pieces of spoiled watermelon. Malindi tea was undrinkable, maybe the milk was also spoiled.We decided not to check how the would spoil the omlette, so left the place hungry and disappointed.

Very well presented and delicious food at a fair price. Located a stones throw from the beach. Recommended to all that want to go out for a meal

Best restaurant in Malindi! Excellent service, food was perfect, host, Edward, was amazing the list goes on. Chef Chris cooked us the best steaks ever and we had the best fish fillet and fish millanaise the following day. We were served by Jimmy, who made all the recommendations and we cant thank him enough for that!

A huge hotel next to the ocean and very near Vasco da Gama pillar. Its surrounded by shanties on the sea front where casual labourers from around the area frequent for midday meals

Very tasty, can totally recommend for everyone. As well good prices. They have also coffee brewed from beans. No cappuchino unfortunately.

Awesome welcoming staff, quite professional and courteous. Great food and open space facing the ocean making it such a cool place to enjoy a drink or a meal. Directly bordering historical sites like Vasco Da Gama Church. Definitely a place to visit. Family friendly, alcoholic drinks are served.

Worst place to have foods, extremely very poor services. Hated the place never come back here again.

Probably the best fresh juice Ive had is from this place. Ive never been let down as far as the beverage is concerned especially considering the heat in the town. Also overlooks the ocean with a wonderful breeze in the afternoon which makes the time there worthwhile. Unfortunately the food is what let them down. Ordered a plate of fries and lets just say I had to go take another plate from a different restaurant. Anyway, love their juice and location.

I have been dining here for some years during my stays in Kenya. Like all on tourism depending establishments there they have a hard time. So to maintain this standard is great. The service is friendly and the view is superb.

A good place to come have a meal, has a good view of the ocean.

They had good service but their fries were not that good....Most of the seafood wasnt on the menu unless pre-ordered.
