Enduring, family-run bakery specializing in the Bossche bol, a chocolate-covered creampuff.
Very good. Very long queue for take off. And little queue for sitting place
Loved the service, loved the food
The best and the famous Bossche bol
Stopped here when we saw the enormous queue of people waiting to get in.So popular they need a traffic light system by the door for tables! The bosche bollen were worth it!
Yummy and famous indeed.
Lovely place, amazing bakery. The bosschebol is amazing!
Tried Bossche bollen ice cream in another city and was so excited to try the original Bossche bol! Two of us shared one Bossche Bol. It is definitely yummy but there was too much whipped cream for our liking that we had to take some out. Nevertheless, worth a try
I really liked the bossche bollen. I definitely recommend it.
The Bossche bol is one the best pastries in the Netherlands and this place is the most famous. Incredibly fresh cream covered with a think layer of chocolate. Furthermore they got much more cakes and pastries of high quality. A must visit when going to Den Bosch, if you come with a larger group reserve in advance or expect lines. Their worth the wait 👍
Get your bossche bollen from here, the yummiest 😋
Great Bossche Bollen, but lunchroom is loud, with loud music, atmosphere feels more like a corporate cafeteria. Staff does not clean tables when guests leave, so hygiene is not sufficient. Experience in lunchroom is not worth a visit. Better to pick up Bossche Bollen to go, other pastries are of basic quality.
I’m not sure how well they stack up to the competition. I mean what can go wrong with huge chocolate coated cream puffs right? Well if others are anything to go by, alot!. People swear by Jan de Groot’s Bossche bollen. And they were indeed excellent and fairly priced for the portion! Easy recommendation from me :)
This is where you can taste the famous bosche bollen ( like a big chocolate pastry, full of whipped cream)I think this a must go if you are a tourist nearby and love sweets. There are also other kinds of cakes and pastries which looks also nice but most people come here for the chocolate ball.
Very nice place. Fresh sweets, a lot of people stopping by. Worth trying the famous bosch bollen. People in service could wear gloves when storing sweets though
Delicious desserts. Neat and clean atmosphere with simplistic but elegant decoration.
Theres only one thing that needs to be said about this place - the best Bossche Bollen, hands down! Everybody knows it.
Always a pleasure to treat business relations with the pride of my hometown.
For me the best place for Bossche bol and some other cakes too....
Station No. 55 sHertogenbosch. No visit to the city is complete without a trip here. Even if you are not a massive fan of the infamous bossche bol - then you need to go - just to see what all the hype is about. These days I usually get the take out option and then walk off all the cream with a stroll by the Drommel #railthetrails
A must visit and must eat. From a young age I already visited this place, till date. They serve and produce the best pastry, Bosche Bol, like nowhere else
Best Bosche boll in the Netherlands! They also have amazing strawberry shells. It was very busy when we went but they work through a line pretty quickly! Will forsure go again if im close!
Most famous for the bousche bolle! Right in front of the central station so you can satisfy your cravings for good food here!P.s. it can get a little crowded at times bcoz its so famous!
The most delicious specialty of Den Bosch. We drive from Arnhem specially to Den Bosch to buy this chocolate pastry filled with fresh whipped cream.
A must visit if youre anywhere in the area. Best Bosche Bal in the world 😊
100% the best bossche bol (and in general, cream puffyou will ever have in this lifetime. The fresh cream is surprisingly not too sweet, and there’s the perfect ratio of pastry and chocolate as you take each bite. Don’t be worried about the long lineup which might be outside - it goes really fast!
Very nice sweet shop. Too many items to choose from. :)
The town specialty "Bossche Bol" is a great choice. The staff is very friendly. We could take our little dog inside were they even offered her a bowl of water. A must visit if you are in town!
We love having the bosche bollen. In summer, the ice cappuccino is worth trying!
When you ever visit s-Hertogenbosch or simply Den Bosch?Go to this confectionary "De Groot"(in front of trainstationand ask for "Bossche Bollen"! 😋A famous and delicous choclate fondant pastry filled with fresh whipped cream!Im pretty sure youll ask for more?😄And dont forget to bring some for your family, the will not dont disappointend you!Eet smakelijk! = enjoy your meal! And when you leave the shop dont forget to say goodbye in Dutch: "Houdoe!" Like in English "How do"
Bought the famous Bossche Bollen and Loved it. Already been there couple of times. Will be definitely visiting again for trying other pastries😍Staffs are also kind to explain us various items in the cafe😊
Before going to Den Bosch I checked some blogs and all of them were recommending the bossche bollen from Jan de Groot, so I didnt resist and also I didnt regret. It was very good and went very well with coffee. If you go to Den Bosch is a must go place, the attendants were nice, it didnt take long although it was very crowded. Besides, its close to the central station so you can pass by when arriving or leaving the city.
This is a great place to go if youve never had a Bossche Ball. This place was packed everything look delicious, even though I only went there with my daughter for dessert. Thats my second time there but I will go every time Im in Dem Bossche the Netherlands.
Depending on your time of visit, you may have to wait for a free table. Bossche Bollen 2,70 euros and delicious. There are many different dessert options like cakes, almond paste rolls, etc.
Get off at the train station. Walk half a block to this shop. Get the local specialty. Proceed to eat it along a main Street, overhear people mutter its name as they pass you. Have a shopkeep offer you a spoon to eat it more delicately. Welcome to Den Bosch. The Bossche bol does not disappoint. The cream is perfectly unsweet, avoiding the sogginess of plain whipped cream. The pastry layer is thinner than normal profiteroles, avoiding the anticipated squish mess. The chocolate layer is pliable and sticks to the pastry and melts in your mouth and makes it oh so sweet. Room temp is the way to go.I dont know if they make seasonal variations, but it would be heavenly to do some flavored creams, like strawberry or orange, or to sprinkle some things atop, like candy cane powder.
famous shop and lucky can get a seat, great afternoon tea~
Fun and cosy place for a real Dutch treat the "bossche bol". Word on the street is that this is the best spot for one. I couldnt agree more with this statement, the chocolate is delicious and the creamy filling is great. The staff is friendly and attentive however they are quite busy around lunch time resulting in a rushed treatment. Also parking isnt straight forward as this place lies on a main street with limited parking. Having said that still 5 stars as it is awesome quality and price is fair
Busy place with lovely staff and amazing sweets, specially the Bosche Bolle, a famous local delicacy.
Best Bosche Bollen I ever had! Amazing patisserie! All those pastries and chocolates, a sight for sore eyes! The lunchroom isnt cosy though, brightly lit with led, and the coffee isnt high quality. I doubt they care, people were filing up to wait for a free table. The patisserie is very famous indeed.
The Place to go and eat Bossche Bollen in The Netherlands, situated in a lovely city. Upstairs view over the street is nice, and it feels quieter than the busy ground floor. Good selection of savoury dishes (for lunch), cakes and drinks. Nice ambience. Friendly and efficient staff.
The coffee was ok. But the Bosche Boll is not made for me. When I ate the half of it it made me feel a little nauseous. The place is nice tho and the staff is very friendly.
The Bossche Bol is legendary to the local residents. So you must try it before you leave. This establishment was recommended to us by a local living all the way in Amsterdam. He grew up with the Bossche Bol and promised us to return one back. The establishment offers many more pastries and hot drinks with place to sit.
Best pastries in Den Bosch, very quick service if you need to pop in and speak English too.
Oh yes. Bossche bollen are the big attraction here. The home of the original Bossche bol. Great dough and delicious cream. Yumyumyum. One fills you up properly for a while. They do serve a lot of other delicious pastries and tartlets here as well by the way. Must go when visiting Den Bosch
Staff was really kind and together with the best Bossche Ballen in town makes this coffee shop really special. They have as well a big variety of sweets and cakes, which could not try. For sure I will go back next time in Den Bosch to try another treat!
A cossy and well designed place to have lunch. I would recommend visitors to try the "Bossche Bol" it got a well known reputation for being one of the best in the Netherlands. There might even be a queue for it in the late afternoon!
Amazing local delicacies!! Usually when you pass this place just before 8AM, there are already lines outside of the shop with people who want to grab something for the office just before they hop on the train. And rightfully so, because if you take some of the famous Bossche Bollen to the office, everyone will love you ;)
Friendly staff!A nice place to stop and sit down to enjoy the bol along with a cup of coffee!
Tried the Bosch boll specialty, good and cheap, also very friendly staff!
The place to go for bosche bollen, but the other pastries are good as well. Unfortunately no outdoor seating. You can also sit upstairs where it is usually much quieter. If you do go to another place they will usually also have the bollen from Jan, but make sure since they really are the best.
If you want the best treat in s-Hertogenbosch, then you can not skip the real Bossche Bollen. And the ones sold here are top-notch. Truly the best. (Theres also a lot of other pastry, but youll understand why theres a line outside once you taste them balls.)
