It was a good experience to come here. The content is substantial and some exhibits are really for kids with its interactive attractions.Best thing about it is that its free! Theres a museum cafe at the ground floor. Youre just required to sign in before coming in and bags are to be left at the locker room before entering. Its not very easy to go here on foot so if you have alternative ways to get here, the better.

Visited this gem place on weekday. entrance is free, only pay deposit for locker to put your things (only phone is allowed to bring inside). got a lot of interactive things that you can play while learn about economy. Divided into two sessions - 10 am until 1 pm and will be open back at 2pm until 5pm. Available now for walk in and need to book slot if travel for more than 20 people. Recommended place to visit with your family and friends! For those that use public transport, can stop at ktm bank negara/lrt bandaraya and just need walk for 10 mins and you arrived!

The kids gallery on the ground floor of the money section is fantastic. The admission is free. This museum is enormous, and it displays a wide range of world currencies. A cafe on the ground floor serves a wide range of snacks, cakes, and drinks. The million-ringgit money tunnel at the entrance is incredible, and many children and adults watch it with bated breath. Malaysias various forms of currency and the art of banknotes have a fascinating history. It was also fascinating to see all of the different coins used by previous sultanates, as well as the currency used in Southeast Asia and Malaysia during Japanese occupation. The special exhibition is very appealing.

Good for every generation of visitors. Can easily spend 1 day here, especially if there is a seasonal exhibition. Interactive gallery, well organised. Different level display different exhibition. There is a cafe on ground floor in case you are waiting someone. Highlighted exhibition is the numismatic gallery. It displays in-depth history of currency and coins used throughout the country since the introduction of currency.

Overall, a very good environment, lots of information, and a good way to learn the history of our money.Suggestion:mention the session duration during the briefing by staff at the registration counter (close at 1-2pm for sanitize purpose, so that we can manage the time. Some interactive counters‘ button spoiled.I can see, children playing with all the button, but cant understand the purpose of it. They are not well controlled by their parents.suggestion:Gather 20 customer each time@ session for simple tour. So that, tour guide can explain and touch the interactive button. This way, you can minimize the button to have longer usage.Looking forward to the better improvement.

Bring my kids to the museum during weekdays. Entrance fees are free. The ground floor children gallery is a must visit place for kids, its fun and can teach them about money. There is few more museum section at 1st and 2nd floor which can see the history about money and bank negara. Recommend to visit morning section 10am to 1pm. Or either have to come after lunch hour which 2pm to 5pm. As they are close for sanitising at 1pm to 2pm. Nice place to bring to explore.

Dont be surprised if people cutting you when que-ing. Their que system is very disorganized.

5 things that caused incovenience to visitors. In my experience visiting 100 museums across the world, this one deserve one star.1No bags allowed. Not even a microhandbag or man bag. Such a stupid rule with no rationale behind it.2Lockers are full to store your bags. The security told us to keep your handbags in the car. What if its stolen?3Must wear mask despite the Government removed the rule that mask is mandatory in public places.4Online health form. Even airports removed any forms, etc. Whats the point having MySejahtera app and 4 vaccine shots?5Why close between 1 and 2pm? The rest of museums opens at 9am and closes at 6pm. Is this some kinda civil servants rule and work culture?Stay away from this place. There are other better art galleries and science museums that you can go.

I went here with my friends and plan to spend long hours here but sadly and disappointedly theres no surau for visitor here, only for staff. So we had to go somewhere else to pray then when we come back we cant enter anymore because the last admission is at 4pm. Not very visitor friendly I would say but the museum looks fun and the staffs were friendly.

From outside, the museum looks promising. It is a huge and modern museum. But the traffic circulations of the building are terrible. There is no sign of directing visitors to the basement parking areas. At the basement, the signs to the museum are very confusing. Few groups of visitors took the wrong elevator to the office block. The planning of the museum is the worst i have visited. There are many dead ends and the ramps, short and steep, are not friendly to wheelchair users. I gave up after visiting second part of 2nd floor gallery.

Amazing amazing experience here. Very educational and interactive. The place is very well maintained with very high security.Free entry. Once you enter, security will check your bag. Then youll head to the reception desk where they will explain to you the rules of the museum and give you a locker key to put your belonging inside (no bags allowedand a map of the museum. You have to return the key at the end of your visit. You can either take the spiral staircase or the elevator. There is a cafe at the right side of the entrance for light snacks and beverages. At the top floor, where the gallery is, there is a floor to ceiling window which overlooks lush greenery outside. Very calming and beautiful.Overall, this museum is really a hidden gem if you are ever in KL, please visit this one.

Time well spent at this museum. They offer great range of exhibitions from art gallery to the history of bank system, bank notes and coins. Great space for not just adults but also for kids to get familiar with the financial stuff 😜 a good 2-3 hours of experience ❤️Free entrance admission, just need to register at the counter once you’re there and be mindful of the opening hours. There’s a few sections that are under maintenance and upgrades so hopefully I could experience that on my next visit to KL

We visited on the weekend. Parking is RM 5/entry. Lots of visitors but did not have to wait long to get in. Had to scan the QR code at the entrance to submit health declaration first. No bags allowed in, so had to keep it inside a locker. We enjoyed the numismatics and art galleries the most. Some parts of the museum are currently closed for renovations/upgrading. There is a gift shop and a cafe at the entrance. The food is cheap and was quite nice.

Situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. Easy to find. Kids friendly. We roughly had 2 hours or more visiting this muzium and have a quick snack before entering. Food is cheap and delicious. Staff were friendly and assisted nicely. Have many levels to explore and facts all around you about finance. Such an amazing experience to get knowing Bank Negara Malaysia history. No need online booking as walk in is available now. I suggest visit this place in the morning because after that you can have lunch around KL, otw parking quite confuse but police help us. Thank you.

Been here the third time. This time for the kids. Enjoyed the art mostly. Museum Cafe serves a lot more food now. Good cup of latte for only RM5! (Better than StarbucksAmericano only RM3.30! Peanut butter waffle for RM4.50 and pure carrot orange juice RM5.50. No cafe in central KL with such prices. Greenery in the surrounding area. Lovely environment and good coffee.Only thing that ruined the whole experience was a particular little napoleon police personnel at the entrance. We were carrying bags and were told to keep our bags in the car becoz the lockers were APPARENTLY FULL (AT 11.00AM!). We had a toddler and werent even allowed to bring a bag with diaper and wet wipes in. What made me so furious was later when I needed to go down to basement to get diapers, I saw the same officer allowing a family carrying bags in after checking inside their bags. We werent even given the opportunity of that bag search. It was just an OUTRIGHT lockers full, go keep your bags in the car.I then asked "Boleh bawa beg masuk ke?" and she has the cheek to answer "Boleh. Kena masuk beg dalam locker." even though she had about an hour ago told us otherwise. I was just stunned by her response! Got the locker token from the concierge and the LOCKERS WERENT EVEN FULL!! (There were a few broken lockers which they should fix.Blatant racial discrimination and abuse of power by an officer in a position of trust. Before leaving, I heard another little napoleon policing a guy who was standing near the pick-up entrance.Used to be perfect back in 2018 when it was not so popular. Didnt have the crowd nor little Napoleons around. It would be nice to just chill with a coffee at the cafe and then admire the artworks at the top floor gallery.*contrary to some reviews here I didnt have to pay a deposit for the lockers.

We visited this hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur on a weekday. We booked online for the morning slot that starts at 10 am. Entrance is free but no bags allowed. There are 4 floors of exhibits including a money tunnel made up of a million ringgit in notes. We enjoyed the numismatic gallery which had many old coins and notes. The art collection on the top floor was also very good. Staff were extremely helpful, courteous and welcoming. We spent an enjoyable two and a half hours here.

Bad attitude from front officer/staff that guarding the entrance. Explain to me and my friend with frown face that before coming need to book online. But actually, few days before we already contact t ask regarding this whether still need booking or can walk-in. Unfortunately, no pick up calls at all after few times tried calling them. Thats why we decided to just walk-in since now already in endemic phase. Even though, may be that is also our mistake, the staff should explain nicely since we are still customer. However, he just pointing at the notice telling that "ada buat appointment ke cik? Kalau tak ada xboleh masuk. Sebelum dtg kena ada appointment dulu". He said that while on his motorbike with a frown face and not so welcoming intonation. So we ended up went to another museum that need no reservation.
