Beautiful natural place full of wildlife
Very good environment. Quick and fresh.
Very good for weekend stralling .... can cycle around, walk and even play basketball
Lots of birds, but staff try to over charge for everything such as cameras, dogs, and looking at the caged hippopotamus.
Nice place to take a walk around and take rest under a refreshing shade. You may also enjoy the sight of some interesting wildlife within cages.

A Parc with a lot of potentialities but luck of good management
Very good place for jogging good tracks frech air
Supercool
Its a good place . Sometimes there are electricity shortcuts
More than a simple park, this place is a kind of wild place so suitable for relaxation without being disturbed. Birds are singing so wonderful melodies from everywhere and people really like practicing sport on the roadside as well as on the big playgrounds inside the park. Youll be more than delighted visiting this place. Be the welcome
I went there more than 10 years ago before coming back this time and I was very disappointed by what the park has become. It is still OK though, nice birds, cayman and good spot to walk in the nature in the middle of the city.
This is an extensive city park that reminded me of the Forest Park in my own home town, Portland Oregon in the USA. There are many trails and many places where you can sit quietly alone in the midst of the city. There is a restaurant at the entrance off the Avenue Sankara and another in the center of the park, both quite pleasant with local and European-style dishes and plenty of beer. When I was there, the north-eastern part of the park was closed, with some wildlife visible through the fence. If you are polite and friendly and somewhat generous to the guards, they will take you through the closed area so you can see some wildlife - I saw a variety of antelopes and crocodiles. There is a botanical garden in the north-eastern corner of the park. The gate was open when I was there but no workers in sight. I went though it and it was interesting but not terribly well-maintained. There is a childrens amusement park area that appears to be open on Saturdays (?). I mostly just used it as a refuge from the noise and bustle of the city, and it was heavenly.
Great natural park for walking, running, and biking.
Nice city park.... ran into a waterbuck
Its quiet and the air is fresh.
Cheap good for walks and runs but have to leash dogs
Here is all you have to know about this awesome place visited by thousands of people everyday. The Parc Urbain is a nice outdoor spot. Various paths through the forest and its is quiet and relatively clean. CFA100 entrance to the park and CFA200 for the small zoo attached. Some sports facilities that are poorly maintained and a small cafe. Nice option for some green open space if youre in town. The Parc Urbain has well-kept paths and a small zoo that houses injured or otherwise un-releasable animals. We took a tour of the zoo with Bonaventure. He was an excellent guide - very knowledgable about the animals, involved in their care, and he clearly cares about them. It looks like the Parc also has a conference area. We didnt immediately see a snack bar when we were there, but there was some construction going on and we didnt ask anybody where it might be, so Im not ruling out that it exists. That said, bring your own water just in case. Overall, it was a lovely afternoon visit. As for the crocs - some paths lead right up to the edge of the swamp! Definitely a "use at your own risk" situation. Dont get croc-ed.A possible heads up on entrance fees - I think we each paid 200 CFA (I wasnt there for the purchase), so Im not sure if the price has gone up or if we had a different type of entrance ticket. This was separate from the zoo ticket purchase. Not a big difference (to a Westerner), but something to be prepared for just in case.Park made of natural forest, hiking circuit and sports area. Serves as a place of entertainment for youth and lovers at weekends. Early in the morning and at dusk, it serves as a circuit for running. True freshness at warmer times of the year. The patrol of the forest agents ensure security and quietness.Nice paths through the largest park in Ouaga. Watch out for the crocs and keep your dog on a leash!!went here several times with a friend to walk--there are many paths here and it would be a good place for a picnic and a place just to get a way and listen to the sounds of the birds, or look for crocodiles in the dry season. Although once the sacred forest, today it could be better maintained as unfortunate signs of modernity have crept in--the signs are rusting out, there is litter in many of the more frequented sections, but it serves as a good get-away for joggers, walkers, bike riders, etc. from the hubbub of the city. There is a snack bar near the entrance, with wifi available, along with a 100cfa entrance fee for foreigners. This is a really nice retreat in Ouaga. Beautiful landscape and wonderful bird sounds. The peaceful surroundings were very much appreciated.
Nice natural park. Good place to walk, take dates, enjoy nature.
A lovely natural park in the middle of the city, good for early morning walks before the heat catches up
Simply natural. Be careful and avoid rain season
The grounds were beautiful but dont count on clean restrooms or picnic tables.
mosquitos makes it a less pleasant visit. Green and calm otherwise
Walking. Running. Biking. Great place
