Greenway on the Penobscot River featuring walking trails, benches, picnic areas & a concert space.
The Waterfront Venue has grown so much since it opened. So many shows and great entertainment. Excellent place to work if you enjoy music 🎶🎶🎶🎶 and great people!!!
Lineup this year had been phenomenal! Also, the bathrooms are an absolute plus for the venue. VIP area also offers drinks, food, private bathrooms, etc... but honestly, not a bad seat in the house. Seats have drink holders!
great place for a show. Hang out first at the Sea Dog Brewery for some great food and nice walk over to the event
Amazing venue to see a concert. Clean, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent experience.
Seating views and sound are very good. The venue should develop a better exit strategy. Everyone bottlenecks into one small set of gates. Clarity should be provided in exactly where disabled parking is (with a highlighted map - its all of Front street back to May streetAND that they offer easy golf cart rides to/from venue for those handicapped.
Venue itself was good and the seating was adequate. Prices for beers were insane at $10 to $12 a piece. Mixed drinks were more. More bathrooms will be needed as the lines were extremely long given the size of the venue.
Loved the experience. My only complaint is them taking the caps off bottle drinks. I get the idea of protecting the performers from thrown objects but they could get hit with a smashed hamburger so Id like to have my cap in case I dont want to finish my $4 dollar soda.
The new set up makes it much easier to see wherever your seats are. Lines moved fast. Food a little pricey. 2 orders of fries and 1 soda over $20. A slice of pizza was $10. The venue a 5... prices dropped my rating to a 4.
Have gone to a few concerts since the new renovations in 2022. Overall pretty amazing that a once destitute railroad junkyard waterfront is the outlet for such well-known artists from around the world. Bangor should be proud. Yes there are always problems and challenges with parking and crowds, but after the millions of dollars come in its kind of a happy problem overall. The only problem I found, and this is not the problem of the venue, is that out of approximately 14,000 people at the Styx concert, three of them decided to stand up and dance through the whole thing and they were in the three seats right in front of me. No one else in the place was standing. Eventually we did find a few other empty seats behind us and moved and had a great view.
5FDPThe BEST concert of the year! Thank you for having them on a Saturday Night! 🤘
Had premium seats for the concert. It was amazing.
We saw the Reo Speedwagon show and had a great time. However, I will likely not attend again until some sort of awning or roof is built as it makes for a long uncomfortable evening when youre soaked from pouring rain in September. At the very least, an awning over the premium seats (the 100 and 200s section). Other than being completely soaked and cold, we had a lot of fun! Staff is super friendly and helpful along with being approachable. The energy upon entering the gates was amazing 👏 🙌 ✨️ Really would love to go back so hopefully some type of protection from the weather is in the works. Thanks
Acoustics off, stadium seats uncomfortable, and impossible to see if anyone in the section stands up. No vibe. Energy gone that was there in years past before the commercialization of the venue. Felt like a sardine without any glimpse of the band. Photo added is the view after standing up.
Nice place to see a concert, however its still not finished. So many areas are still under construction. Not sure why its taking so long?
Great to see a couple of my favorite bands, but the seating arrangements were very bad, especially if you wanted to mosh. It wasnt a country concert!
The venue is well organized and upgraded. Seats were comfortable. Stage can be seen from any seat! Even the Lawn area! Two screens two enhance the viewing of the show for the people seated in the rear sections. The video was of great quality! Couple of different areas to get refreshments, food, or merchandise. The price of food and drinks were high. Beer $11-14 dollars a CAN! Bottled water $ 4.00. Plenty of restrooms!
The concert was good but the rules they have are just stupid. There are way better places I can go for concerts
Nice park with some picnic areas and benches along the water. Cool place to hang out if you want to hear the music from the shows at the amphitheater!
As with any concert venue there are pros and cons. Number one the venue is beautiful right alongside the Penobscot River, parks walks trails. The venue is under construction. It appears theyre trying to cut down on people that come and watch the show for free. Closing it all in thats business. I havent been inside yet. Years ago I would just park in the VIP parking and be closer to the stage then more than half the people in the venue. That is not happening anymore. They built the wall lol
Love Steven Tyler and the band ❤️..and deserves they deserve a 5 star review.....although the people being drunk beyond help was ridiculous and kind of sad ...... and I dont smoke in public but for those that need A designated smoking area.......cigs dont cause puking. Bad behavior or falling down lets get our priorities right...ughhhh
Way overselling of tickets.. herded like cattle into lawn areas then told to move all night because we couldnt get into the lawn.. had there been an emergency there would have been major fatalities.. wouldnt recommend this venue
From the 200 section u can hardly see the stage it was better the old way nearly impossible to get drinks have to go all the way out wont be back if I want to watch a concert on a screen ill stay home
Outstanding venue, I would attend more performances here if it wasnt for the 2 1/2 hour drive.
Seen so many great artists there. Can be long lines, hard to maneuver. Needs wider walkways or better system for directing people so cross traffic doesnt get clogged up. It can be dangerous especially on concrete stairs but besided that a very nice venue with tons of potential.
always such a blast at the amphitheater, saw Luke Combs this time around. highly recommend the venue
Homeless people along the entire Bangor waterfront, sleeping on the benches and throwing their trash everywhere. Tents set up in parking garage lot and constantly coming from the railroad tracks. I Tried to walk my dog on the Bangor waterfront trail and found 2 needles and lots of caps. Did not feel safe here at all. If you want to walk the river Go to the brewer waterfront instead, don’t waste your time here!
I just went to my first concert at this venue and loved it! Every worker from the gates on was friendly and helpful! Bathrooms were super clean. We did have a hard time bringing up our tickets and sending texts and calls when inside. There also needs to be more security.
New Spider-Man movie was played & free admission that night
Uhhh, 60 bucks for 4 chicken tenders and 2 slices of pizza? At least make the food taste half way decent. Oh yeah, leave your green backs at home. They only like digital money in these parts.🤷🏿♂️😎🤙
nice place. lacks parking but pretty and good for catching a show
Amazing venue cant wait to go again next summer.
Had it not been for the delays it would have been 5 stars. They could have done a better job keeping updated on the approaching storm. No place to go but walk back to the car and waite for news.
Always have an fantastic time at the Bangor Waterfront, the new set up looks great! Bathrooms were super clean considering how many people were using them and the staff was fantastic as usual! Definitely recommend hitting a concert or 2 or 3 lol
They are still building it, but love the seating levels. There doesnt seem to be a bad seat! Cant wait to go to another concert!
Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the venue is now!
Great Venue. Several visits to Bangor and have never spent any time in the downtown core. A recent concert had me spend some time along the Penobscot River and downtown Bangor. Nice small town feel with some city aspects.
So out of all the venues in Maine this is the place to see a concert. No sound issues great views of the stage. Super friendly staff.
Pretty good venue, expect to pay quite a lot for drinks and food. I wouldnt suggest taking candy from the bathrooms unless you have extreme intestinal fortitude
I remember going to a Pentatonix concert a couple years ago, when there was grass and room to breathe. The new seating had me feeling more like a can of sardines than I could stand, but I wouldn’t leave Lynyrd Skynyrd before Free Bird, so I dealt with it. (The bathroom lines were also impossible, so I did not end up drinking past my first drink.)You may seat a larger crowd, but a good portion of that crowd would have preferred to stand and feel engaged.
I’m hoping we’re just in the post-reconstruction phase where the venue is working out the kinks of the new venue. The line situation is worse than before with no clear indicators of which line people should be in until your about to walk through. Everyone in the line was confused and I wasnt the only one who got turned down after 45 minute wait because of being in the lawn line with a pit ticket (that should not matter, I can understand the opposite). The beer vendors did not accept cash, again with no signage to indicate such. The new bathrooms are nice and overall the earthwork allows for a better vantage point throughout the venue.
Easy check in process. Followed the rules for my purse size, lines moved quickly, the new seats were great. We were in section 303 and could see the stage with ease. All 3 bands were great and it finished in a great encore. Definitely was a great experience for us. Cant wait to go back in September for our next concert.
Highly recommended if you want to go out for the evening and listen to a concert not far from home. It was excellent we saw Lynard Skynard July 3rd, 2022
We just missed the concert the next day but this area was really great. Art aling the walkway was great. The open space was beautiful. The food trucks were an added bonus. (Need more selection of trucksWe then went across the river to the High Tide resturant for some amazing Maine lobster. Great town, great people and amazing food.
Great place to walk or sit down and eat on a bench by the water! About a 10 minute walk to downtown bangor. Pick up some food and sit down by the water!
When the sky is so beautiful before its even daylight!!
Very beautiful place to see and visit. Very calming. Its a really great place to just relax and chill for a while.
Bangor is slowly adding to their waterfront park.the work done so far is top quality.benches. , parking and walking paths. .the fuel storage tanks r gone which is a plus . there currently doing sewer work according to the sign which is a good time to do it with concert area shut down .seems concert area is overhauling the area .be interested to see how it turns out .plenty of area to use while construction going on .
This is a great outdoor concert venue right by the river. They serve a lot of different food and beverages. The ticket prices are really decent. I just attended the two day annual Impact Music Festival July 27th and 28th. The 27th headliner band was 5 Finger Death Punch and they put on an amazing show with great sound, lots of moving lights, laser lights and a lot of pyro shooting fireballs all over the place. It was great! The 28th headliner was Godsmack. The show was also good. Evanessence opened for them as well as Killswitch Engage. I thought KSE was the best band on day 2. Personally I think this is one of the best venues in the northeast.
I had a blast here seeing Phish twice in June 2019. I liked the venue layout but was hassled by security due to my small purse. It was well within size criteria and the person checking bags refused to let me bring it in. Although I know their job is to protect us my bag did fit criteria and I felt that the pit security line took things too far. My only other constructive comment is that I think the Port-A-Potty Restrooms should not be placed on a slope, it made going to the bathroom in those stalls difficult.
Went for the fireworks show. The show was pretty fantastic! They shut off the lights for the show along the walk. The boat docks lights stay on. The only thing I would change is not sitting next to a boat dock with the light that doesnt shut off. Otherwise the area in general is worth walking around any day.
